Outside the mouth of a newly discovered cave in the nearby mountains surrounding the village, Yuki shrugged off the pack of gear she'd dragged along, letting it plunk safely to the ground on a patch of soft soil as she moved to a patch of shade near the entrance. Briefly, she clicked open the wood-sheathed sword she carried, easily mistaken as a bokken, and lightly sliced the underedge of her left hand, letting the blood pool in her palm as she executed the five hand seals needed to call up an extra pair of eyes- a little mohawked gorilla  that appeared in a puff of smoke and clambered up onto her shoulder, peering into the cave, and then over at Yuki's companions. "You make a new friend, Yuki-san?"

"Nah, these two're my partners for this little caving expedition. I dunno if she does friends. Hey! Sui-san! Kazura-san! Do you guys do friends? Or you two just sorta "me, myself, my double, and I" kinda gals?"

The cave hadn't yet been explored, but often these crevices were home to dangerous creatures, nasty bandits, or any manner of other dangers lethal to the average civilian. So best to send experienced fighters in instead! Like Suikazura and Yuki herself.

Sui and Kazura both had a fairly neutral mindset when it came to Yuki so far. Their smiles and lifeless brown eyes lead to a grand poker face, where they seemed to communicate with gazes more than words now-a-days. Not to say they had given the girl the silent treatment, they were perfectly willing conversationalists. But conversation was sometimes a distraction from more practical needs as well, like paying attention to a mission.

"We know we're shorter than you, but we are still your Senpai here," Sui would pipe up in response to Yuki before letting out a small chuckle.

"We mostly decide that on a case by case, so far your doing well enough," Kazura would continue without skipping a beat in between Sui stopping and her starting up in speech. The identical voice helped to make it less unnerving, and the existance of techniques that made a bajillion tangible clones made it all the easier.

"Which is entirely reasonable if you ask me. Which I have for the record, although your best off seeing us as two people. We are not one right now, so don't treat us as such please," Sui would finish the though in response to Yuki and the summoned monkey's question. Not friends, but there was a heavy yet mixed into the seemingly relaxed and joking manner the two were continuing.

Though being at the mercy of the cave ahead the girls would take a breath and refocus, Sui would move to stand in front of Yuki testing the wall for dampness before taking to the wall and travelling immediately into the cave from the ceiling. Making sure to watch for bats and the like... though they were surprisingly uncommon in places like this. The lack of vegetation made bugs a very light species in Tsuchi, so bats were unlikely. Kazura would stick next to Yuki.

"We're going to enter and keep pace, Sui will be keeping from above so she can trip up any unexpected problems, I am going to help you from ground level. Make very certain you do not get too close to the walls, things have a tendency to hide in them where you can't see. Alright?" Kazura would ask, wanting confirmation from the genin on a business level.

"By like three centimeters! We're basically all the same height! Yer right, though, senpais-" Yuki cleared her throat and drew herself up, spine straight, hands folded in front of her. "I shall endeavour to portray myself as the picture of proper decorahaHAHAHA I CAN'T." Yuki dissolved into giggles trying to make herself act prim and proper, but at least followed up with, "Eheheh... don't worry, though. I know who the bosses are here!"

The confirmation from Kazura made Yuki pump her fist and cheer quietly to herself. "Aw yea! Foot in the door."

Yuki nodded at the statement and tapped Jugo on the head. "Yeah, like they said. Two people, so. Act like it!" He seemed... very puzzled, but shrugged and nodded. "Alright. Well, nice to meet you, young ladies."

"Ah, gotcha. Overwatch and ground team. No worries! I'm on yer six, Kazura-senpai. You just show us where we're headed!" Flashing a hand sign or two, Yuki bent to slap the cave floor, drawing up a set of three-pronged shuriken, bracing them in her left hand with her right prepared to throw if and when needed, while Jugo hung off her back and kept an eye out!

"Eheh, except Sui and I will never grow from this height. You still might... we will see," Kazura would respond in kind to the genin sage apprentice as she moved deeper into the cave itself. Sui from above would move silently as she twisted her way around in a fashion that was utterly precise in her footing. She needed to be to move around bats and stalagtites. It wasn't the hardest work to do by any means, as they got deeper.

The oddest bit of the beginning though came from how Kazura seemed to smile blankly at the girl and the monkey, as if she was ignoring one of the existances in front of her and eagerly looking to the wall behind. Blinking she would finally seem to process the speech after an awkward pause, "Yeah, thank you for that curtesy. We should try and be quieter moving forward from here though, do you need any projectiles? If no one warned you were trap and projectile specialists, so we carry a lot of the latter on us at all times."

This, of course, came well before Yuki would respond and produce her own weapons. outstretching a hand behind her Kazura would produce and grasp three of her more unique throwing knives. The Tonde Tsubame. Readying to strike, Sui above would mimick the motion, but with a different object that would be hard to make out as they walked deeper into the cave itself.

"Really? That's as big as y'all are gonna get? I dunno if that's adorable or frustratin'. Probably depends on whether you're you or me, huh?" Yuki mused, rolling the shuriken across her fingers as they moved. "Quieter. Got it. And nah. I got gear, but plenty'a rocks. Easier not to risk my kit on attacks before I get a feel for how our foes might act."

Yuki wasn't sure what to make of the way they seemed to stare through her. Thoroughly off-putting. She thought she even felt Jugo shiver uncomfortably. As they got deeper and switched to a stealthier approach, Yuki staggered her movements, darting from stalagmite to stalagmite, flitting forward at high speeds, keeping her visible exposure time minimal without losing the pace the other girls were maintaining, alert and ready to strike! The temptation to speak more was strong, but she really needed to keep quiet- after all, she was essentially under orders to be quieter as they advanced. She couldn't help but wonder. What awaited them further in? Beasts? Monsters? Monstrous beasts? Beastly monsters?! The possibilities felt endless, but she supposed there was only really one way to find out for sure.

Stay quiet, proceed apace, and see what awaited further inside the cave.
