[Suikazura]

All things stated Suikazura had stagnated heavily in her time as a chunin. She had taken a road to ensure that she corrected her misgivings, and that meant that she needed to take time to start again from the beginning. She had reinvented herself in that sense, having taken stock of what she could and could not do. She had re-evaluated her skill in melee, which turned out to be less that ideal, in place transitioning herself into the use of projectiles. Though she had plans to adapt the erratic Swift Riverfang style, eventually, to function in a feasible way with her projectile usage... that would save her a lot of regret from having wasted her time. That was beside the point today though, today marked one of the last missions she would likely take part in as a team with her original instructor. If they worked together again later, it would be sheerly from coincidence of skill, closer to equals she hoped rather than the imbalance of skills.

Having been sent with her instructor to the border city of Kinoishi,there had been word of individuals disrupting the mining work, wanting to save the the environment... Suika did not understand what they were referring to though. The land surrounding out of the city wasn't exactly flush with life and the city itself was a massive kiln of fire and steam. It was a fortress city that held their borders from invasion over the years though... which made Suika curious as to why this group was cropping up now of all times.

"Yoshiko-Sensei, you brought our paperwork didn't you? I would assume you did, but the city seems like the type to shut down anyone that doesn't have reason to enter... how have I never been to this city before actually?"

The last question was not directed at anyone, even as Suika smiled at her teacher with lifeless eyes.
