Losing out Ok Knock Out "........ Bury Me Alive The sound of soft breathing filled the air as the desert continued to move on around her. The creatures for the most part ignored the unconscious female, her body partially covered over from a day's worth of sand, a single mechanical hand lingering outward to the surface. It almost appeared as if there were a puppet buried beneath the small mound with little more than small bits of air escaping into the wind. The clan had been for the most part merciful, or at the very least kind to extend her the courtesy of escorting her out of their encampment. But the distance from where they were, to where they had left the girl was clearly far out...and no sign of life save for that within the natural order. The punishment for her actions had been that of exile, and no matter what she had attempted, it had ended the same way it had been planned. Of course, they likely had assumed the child would take it lying down and simply leave. Instead, she attempted a trial by combat, one that had her face the gatekeeper and the Clan's true champion. The memory of it rattled within her brain as she laid beneath the sand, her body unmoved, but nightmares flaring with each passing moment. Each body blow, so fast and yet strong enough to shake her very core. A broken arm, and loss of pride were only the tipping point.... Her name taken completely, she no more Saeko than an Aiel...and that hurt more than anything else... As she remained buried, her thoughts took her far away, feeling the chill of the cold reaching the surface as night began to fall again...but her mind elsewhere as she sat within her apartment. The young girl would lay her head down upon the lap of Issei, her eyes looking up at him with a grin before holding up one of her mangas and showing him a picture within it. As the two laughed together, she'd see Asahi watching from the corner, as well as Zakku and Rin. With them all sharing in their laughter, Kazui would seem to walk in next with what looked to be a basket of goodies. It was blissful....amazing even... Still, it would soon begin to shatter as she felt the walls crumble around her, her eyes wide as Issei vanished from sight, along with everyone else and her arm disappeared and replaced itself with her puppet limb once more. From there, a shadow began to grow, a fist slamming down upon her as she attempted to hold it back. With both hands straining, she'd scream up at it to see the face of her brother pushing it further into her, crushing her body beneath it as she continued screaming in her mind.

"The map says the Clans set up their encampment around this area."  Zakku told his companion as he studied the map.  Coming to look for his friend he'd more or less grabbed Asahi needing support.  Whether it was physical or not he knew he needed someone he could rely on.  He was just hoping he wasn't bringing back a corpse.  Another friend gone was another knife straight into his heart. "The hell is that?"  Lowering the map he looked at something sticking out of the sand.  

As they got closer the blue hair speedster found himself picking up the pace.  Panic starting to take ahold as the slim prosthetic arm sticking out of the sands made his heart skip a beat.  "No...Yuda no Shisai NO!!"  A familiar fear wormed into his body as he began to recognize the pattern for Ayuwakas arm.  Running with renewed speed he'd dart to the arm.  Sliding besides the arm he'd start frantically digging his arms moving at incredible speeds as his chakra began to recklessly infiltrated his muscles as he scrambled to remove the sands.

It hadn't been the situation Asahi had hoped for when he had been tasked with retrieving a shinobi from the village who hadn't returned in a while in that it was someone he actually knew pretty well. Ayukawa had always been spunky to the point of recklessness --a trait that quite a few women in Suna seemed to share-- and her running off to get into whatever wacky situation wasn't a surprise at all, but to go this long without at least checking in had raised concerns within the village and so here the chunin were on the search for their comrade. "Good, I'll see if I can pick up her chakra signature anywhere around here." In truth, he had been searching for any trace of the girl as soon as they cleared the village walls and though he may have not been showing it the young Kyokujitsu was worried.

Their trek had taken them quite some ways from the village, no surprise considering how isolated the clan often kept themselves, and at some point Asahi was expecting to see at least some form of life in the area whether it be a tent or wayward camel carrying goods but alas there was nothing of the sort, that was, until Zakku cried out. Poking out of the sand looked to be a lone limb that hopefully was attached to the person they were looking for. "Is that?" Asahi questioned as he followed behind the blue haired youth who frantically began digging away the sand to unearth whoever was a strong gust of wind away from being completely buried. With all the sand being flung around Asahi couldn't see who the arm was connected to and resorted to using his arm to shield his face.

"Is that her, Zakku? Is she alright?" The chunin would question before turning to scan the area. Regardless if it was Ayukawa or not there was a chance whoever had dumped this person in the middle of the desert wasn't far off and they had to be ready in case they decided to circle back and make sure the job was done. Granted, Asahi did not feel any other chakra signatures aside from Zakku and the faint one of the person currently being unearthed but one could never be too sure in these shifting sands.

Losing out Ok Knock Out "Buried alive... Or left for dead.... It was hard to say just which of those choices was made in regards to the Saeko Clan, but it wasn't something that was truly common place for the group. If anything, had she really been that much of a danger, they would have killed her. But, her beat down and exile seemed to be more than enough, and it wasn't as if she were that important to be someone left dead as a message. She was nobody... As the images in her head grew more and more violent, the flash of light was enough to bring her somewhat back to reality, her purple eyes weakly looking up as she could see shadows moving vigorously around her. If she wanted to fight back, she certainly wasn't able to do so. A broken arm, her body weak from a day out in the sun with no water or food. Ayukawa wasn't in the best of shape to do anything to defend herself. Yet as her one opened pupil stared narrowly at the shadow that was unearthing her, her breathing became more rapid as faint flickers of punches prompted her to jerk slightly, feeling the grip of a shirt as her puppet limb attempted to grab onto the individual. Upon getting a closer look, their darkened presence being shown within the light, she could finally made them out with her bruised expression. "Zakku-kun...." In seeing him, she'd then glance at the other individual beside him, seeing their face as she recognized them instantly... "Asahi-kun...." Releasing a breath, she'd find herself drifting again as her grip would release Zakku and then drop to the ground as she remained laid out. Whatever had happened would remain a mystery to them, but it was clear that the girl had been put through more than a simple fight. One in which she clearly lost...badly...

Saeko Ayukawa  Kyokujitsu Asahi

"THERES BREATHING BUT I CAN'T TELL!"  His hands burned from the sands but he couldn't stop no matter what got in his way he was scooping it out of his way.  Sand flew around in every direction as he frantically dug.  It was Ayukawa.  What'd happened?  He kept digging his mind nothing but a flurry of 'Dig Dig Dig'.  Seeing her eye begin to open he stopped in disbelief.  Getting his first look at her broken and beaten body he stared in shock.  As her puppet hand grabbed onto his shirt he flinched instinctively.  He could finally see the damages to her and covered his mouth to suppress a gasp.

"Y-Yeah it's us Ayu-chan."  Zakku focused on helping his teammate instead of the tears that were building behind his eyes.  "We're gonna take you back to the village ok?  Asahi help me get her up please.  We're gonna have to get her home quickly."  With a flurry of hand movements his clone appeared and began to run in the direction they had come.  His instructions known before he was summoned.  His purpose was to warn the medical staff about the incoming patient.  The original would ty to help Ayu up and into a sitting position.  "Come on we got water for you."

The amount of sand being kicked up seemed almost never ending and it was getting difficult to wait for word on whether this was Ayukawa or not and while he desperately wanted to help someone needed to keep a look out and between the two of them the Kyokujitsu probably had the best sensory skills so he would just have to hope for the best. Thankfully there were still no signs of anyone approaching which was good news because regardless of who this was buried down there it was going to take both of them to return the individual back to the village, or at least somewhere safe.

Then.. a soft, weak voice spoke that Asahi could barely recognize as it was missing its usual energy and jubilance, but it was Ayukawa none the less. The boy quickly turned heel and made his way to Zakku's side as soon as he confirmed the identity of the once-missing girl. She was battered and bruised, beyond it some may even say, but alive and that was the important part. One hand would reach for the girls back to help slowly prop her up while another unclipped the water bottle he had brought along; admittedly mostly for himself but Ayukawa needed it much more than he did right now. "Drink slow, Ayukawa, this'll help." Asahi would instruct as he held the open end of the bottle to the girl's lips.

"What are you doing out here by yourself anyway? Weren't you supposed to be with your clan?" The chunin would ask as he looked around once more. Still nothing save the signature of Zakku's clone that was speeding back to the village. If Ayukawa had been with her clan and they were responsible for her injuries what would give them the bright idea to just leave her half buried in the middle of the desert like that? They were admittedly a rough and tumble group of people but lacking basic decency wasn't something he had expected from an established clan.

Losing out Ok Knock Out ""Ack.." The support from both Zakku and Asahi allowed for the girl to be raised up slightly more so, her back held as the pain in her body slowly began to return, along with the chill of the air against her raw skin. While she was certainly built from stronger stuff, her body was not any exception to conditions, only better able to handle them. The sand had been heated and scotched, leading to much beneath it to become much warmer throughout the day. While the air was refreshing to someone just exposed to it, Ayukawa was still recovering from a full day of heat exposure. While Asahi offered her the bottle of water, panic and thirst attempted to sink in, only for her to be reminded to take it slow as she accepted the aided drink before then closing her eyes as the liquid moved down her parched throat. With the question coming of why she was out here alone, Ayukawa would speak softly as she found herself fighting back tears at the reminder of her being with her clan. "They....they exiled me....I'm...I'm not a Saeko anymore....." Opening her eyes, she'd try and do the same with another, only to remember that her face was still partially swollen. Releasing a soft sob, she'd do her best to continue, looking down as she shook her head. "They asked me to come to the Ceremonial Rocks for judgement...I know I should have stayed and waited for you or Arashi but I thought...I thought I could talk to them into accepting me back home...but...they wouldn't listen to me..." Looking at Zakku, she'd then cough before she continued. "I'm sorry Zakku-kun...I'm sorry..." Her sobs were getting stronger as she lowered her head with shame as she shook it. "They wouldn't listen so I thought I could show them that I was still Saeko...and I...I fought....and I lost..."

Zakku couldn't believe what he was hearing.  Her own clan did this to her?  Her sobs tore his heart apart more and more as she explained everything.  Her apologizing to him made him shake his head.  It wasn't her fault.  She had nothing to apologize for.  If anything he felt like he should apologize for not helping prepare her more but would that have changed anything?

He'd gently touch the top of her head unsure where else he could touch without hurting her.  "Hey."  He attempted to reassure her.  "It'll be ok.  Look Ayu-chan we're not upset with you.  If anyone's in trouble it'll be me.  Arashi is gonna kick my ass."  Her broken and beaten form was hard to look at.  He broken arm reminded him of what she'd done to his during their exams.  He hated the sick sense of Irony.  "We gotta get you outta here first.  Then we'll talk about what happened alright?"  

Zakku wanted to leave especially if some bad actors from the Saeko clan wanted to finish their work.  He knew both him and Asahi while strong wouldn't fair much better especially if this is what they did to Ayukawa.  "Asahi, we may have to carry her."

Asahi had expected to hear any number of reasons for the girl being out in the middle of the desert in the state that she was in, but he'd be lying if he figured the reason Ayukawa was all battered and bruised and left to die was because of her own clan. Admittedly he had been out of the loop of things for a while now what with work and other goings on so he didn't know that she was even taking this trip in the first place and for that he was upset at himself nearly as much as her clan mates, er, ex clan mates. The chunin was not well informed about the Saeko and while it wasn't unheard of for clans to have their trials by combat or other rough and tumble traditions this seemed way out of the ordinary.

Further listening to Ayukawa explain what had happened shed quite a bit of light on things and it did not go well at all. She was already fighting an uphill battle trying to get them to recognize her and whatever sick sense of pride or aggression they had been holding onto was loosed upon her. The boy grit his teeth as he tried to keep as calm an expression as possible but a good part of him wanted to go find the Saeko and give them their just desserts ten fold. He knew, however, that strolling into their encampment outnumbered like that was going to put him at deaths door, and being a supposed bodyguard of the Kazekage probably brought its own political red string with it and the last thing Suna needed was an internal incident. So what were they to do, then? Just turn tail and run back to the village? Could Takato even do anything about this? Would he? Questions for another time, for now, he needed to focus on making sure Ayukawa returned safely to the village.

"Yeah that's fine. I don't sense anyone else around here so we should alright. You think you can stand up, Ayukawa?" He would ask ready to assist the girl getting back to her feet if she could, and if she couldn't he would have no problem carrying the girl himself. Asahi didn't have much in the way of medical equipment on his person so unfortunately the wounds and swelling would have to be left as is until they got closer to the village.

Losing out Ok Knock Out ""They didn't even...they should have killed me..." While the fact that Ayukawa was even alive right now to tell them this was a miracle, it was more upsetting considering what usual became of those that were exiled or considered "Dishonored". A title that would likely stay with her for the rest of her life. It was shaking to think that, but in the end it was how things were. Even she was smart enough to realize that. But at her core, she was hurt deeply, and even a medic couldn't fix that. As Zakku assured her that it wasn't her fault, he'd attempt to joke that Arashi would kick his butt for letting this happen, which brought up what her mother had given her in secret. "I...I have to...Ugh!" Moving hurt, blinking hurt, every inch of her hurt, and as Asahi asked if she were okay to stand, the young girl would try her best as she struggled to rise up. Her legs were in no better shape than the rest of her, which was saying something considering how powerful they were. Still, in her struggle, it seemed that the offer to be carried was accepted as the girl leaned into Asahi and allowed for herself to be lifted up. "My...my mother...she...she said somethin...gave me..." It seemed like a poor time to be giving information, and before long, the girl would find herself struggling to breath as her eyes closed and her head slumped over. The time for talking would have to wait, as she needed medical attention as soon as possible. But the conversation, the situation with the Saeko, was something that would have to be resolved one way or another. Though for the moment, it wouldn't be any clearer as to just what was going on with the Desert Clan. Not now anyway...

"Ayukawa?  Dammit.  We gotta get moving."  Zakku told Asahi removing his hand from Ayus head.  Moving back in the direction of Sunagakure.  His mind constantly buzzing with questions.  What had her mother told and given her?  Would she be ok?  Of course she would it wouldn't be easy but he knew she'd be ok.  They just had to get back to Suna and fast.  Though her emotional wounds would be a lot more difficult to heal.  Having your name and honor stripped from you was a wound that Zakku couldn't even begin to imagine.  

He'd have to prepare for her when she got better.  There was going to be a long and hard recovery of this emotional wound.  Zakku wanted to do more for her but he hadn't ever trained in medicine.  At this moment he was wishing he'd paid more attention or had dedicated more time to learning it but now isn't the time to mentally kick himself over it.  "Please be ok."

It was tough to figure out what exactly happened from the few words that Ayukawa was able to muster out before she seemingly lost consciousness. All things considered it was a miracle she had even lasted this long and the remainder of the conversation would have to wait until they reached the village, though that was assuming they were able to make it back in time. The girl was badly injured and for all the ill will that both Asahi and Zakku held towards the clan their resilience coursing through Ayukawa's veins was probably the only reason she was still in the land of the living.

"Yeah we gotta get a move on, but try not to move her around too much. Can't risk injuring her more than she already is." Asahi replied as he worked in tandem with the blue haired Chunin to pick up the pace a little. The fastest course of action would of course have been just straight up running back to Suna but without knowing the extent of her injuries there was a good chance they'd be doing more harm than good, and the last thing either of them wanted was to show back up at the village gates with a dead comrade.

"Hard to believe someone's own supposed family could do this to 'em. I don't know much about that clan but even if they didn't want to accept her they didn't have to do all this to her." Clans were all over the place with their inner workings and what not and even the Kyokujitsu were known to send their younger members out into the wilds for survival training but Asahi couldn't imagine beating him within inches of his life for not accepting him. It just didn't make sense.

"The Saeko Clan!"  Zakku practically spit as he let his anger start to bubble out.  "They didn't appreciate she'd chosen love over rational thinking.  She went to protect her boyfriend the Uchiha and they kicked her out of the clan.  This was her attempt to get her name back but dammit this wasn't supposed to happen."   Zakku was manic when he'd found out.  He'd tried to get in to see her but was pushed away until she'd stabilized.  'Pull yourself together and get her too the hospital now!'  His mind screamed at him.  Zakku couldn't dwell on what happened or what had happened.  They had to focus on getting her back to Suna.  Back to Safety.


"They've gone too far this time."  The blue haired chunin thought aloud as he kept his pace with Asahi not wanting to outrun and make things worse.  But what could he actually do to them?  He was a Chunin with a lot of talk.  They were a clan with members that outranked him in power and strategy.  He already knew he was in trouble for losing track of one of his teammates again.  At least this time she hadn't lost anything physically attached to her.  However emotionally she'd lost something very important.  Her identity.  "She'll be ok.  She'll be ok."  Repeating the words he could see Suna appear from the heated air and felt his pulse quicken.  The Chakra that rushed back into him of the Clone told him it'd done his job.  "They're prepping a room for her now."  Zakku told Asahi.  "She'll be ok.  She'll be ok."  He didn't know who he was telling it.  He just had to keep repeating it.

It was clear that Zakku was upset about the situation, furious even, and while Asahi was miffed himself he couldn't help but be somewhat preoccupied by some of the information that the blue haired Chunin was giving. Ayukawa had a boyfriend, and one from another village at that, which was definitely a surprise. Unfortunately the reasons that Zakku gave turned the situation from a possibly unique case to one that almost cliche in the land of clan politics. A lot of clans were fiercely loyal to their name and expected all who fell under its banner to carry that same fervor, and while some families had relaxed their fervor over the generations old habits clung tightly to others, and it seemed the Saeko were one such example.

There was still much Asahi didn't know about the entire story and it wasn't a secret that Ayukawa was often impulsive in her decision making at times, but she had a good heart and was always willing to help someone in need, so if this boyfriend of hers was in trouble then there was virtually nothing that would stop her. Attempting to right that wrong after the fact had landed her in the beaten and bruised state she was in now but the boy had a feeling that the girl would make the same decision one hundred times over. "This is a mess for sure, but we need to let Takato-san handle this. Rushing back there for revenge is only gonna get you in the same position as Ayukawa... or worse, so let's focus on making sure the higher ups have all the information so they can take care of things." Asahi replied not in the vein of giving instructions but more so words of caution. He couldn't know for sure if Zakku would try and find the Saeko and give them a piece of his mind, but he did know that the only thing worse than one half dead shinobi were two of them.

"That's good to hear, it shouldn't be too much longer if we keep up this pace." The chunin spoke with as firm and calm a voice as he could muster. Carrying a downed comrade back to the village wasn't on his to do list for the day but he was at least glad that they had been able to find Ayukawa before she was lost to the desert. What would come after they finally returned to Suna, however, was anyones guess but he knew it wasn't going to be pretty.

With Zakku's effective action in sending his clone to give word of their arrival, there was a group present at the entrance of the village to take on the young girl and held in getting her placed upon a stretcher. Her complexion was far paler than it had been prior, yet her breathing was at least an indicator that the girl could indeed be saved. Among the people present with the medics was that of Arashi, whom appeared far more shaken by the girl's appearance than most would expect, looking on as they began to speak to her of the shinobi's condition and then as she turned to look at the two with a calm expression. "We received your clone's message and have already prepared a place for her within the hospital. I'd say that you managed to save her life..." A small smile rested on her face before she then turned and began to make her way toward the facility as she continued to indicate for the two to follow. "Did she tell you anything on what happened? From her appearance I'd almost suspect that she was attacked by a wild animal..." -Jutsu Used- -S.A Used- -Items Used- -Familiar Used-
