Clan yume NAME: Kami o Okoshimasu [Wake the Kami] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low (sustained) CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: 3  Hare - Ox - Dog REQUIREMENT: Blessed by the Kami DESCRIPTION: A Yume will form the few seals needed for this technique, and then gather up their special chakra in their hands.  After placing their hands on or near a plant to be treated, the Yume will then begin streaming more and more of their chakra through their hands an into the plant and soil around it. While this technique is active the Yume is able to make minor alterations in the way chakra flows through the plant, correcting defects or empowering aspects of the plant's chakra network.  In doing this they can cause both subtle and drastic changes to the plant. This jutsu takes a great deal of time, no less than ten minutes for even small seeds, but can take hours for larger, mature trees.  The younger a plant is, the easier it is to influence them, which means even a novice could spend some time playing with a handful of seeds, or picking through sprouts. The effects of this jutsu are many and varied, and typically takes time and multiple castings.  More information on how the Yume make their Plants, the Time required per rank, and the Experience point cost of modifications can be found in the Yume Clan Abilities section, and the rules for Summoning Contracts. -------- NAME: Kami Kaiwa [Speak with Spirits] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low (sustained) CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: 1 Ram REQUIREMENT: Blessed by the Kami DESCRIPTION: With this technique the Yume will form a hand seal to help focus their special chakra, and then place their hand on or near a plant.  Infusing chakra into the plant and letting it circulate through the plant the Yume is able to very deeply analyze the plant's structure. This basically gives the Yume a very highly detailed core sample or cross section of the tree which they can study, allowing them to unlock a great deal of information from the plant's history and some assumptions about the past based on it.  This jutsu allows the Yume to know the history of a particular plant all the way back to it's sprouting, reading hints in their mental core sample to count rings, analyze growth rates to see good and bad seasons in the past, even tell things like wild fires, lightning strikes, illnesses, parasitic infections, burrowing insects, everything that has and/or is affecting the plant that left a hint they can find. Because this information seems to come from no where, the Yume liken it to speaking with spirits, however no actual conversation takes place.  Of course, this jutsu works best with the thick trunks of trees, and can be used on other plants, Yume tend to rely on the age of elder trees to speak the local story for them.  --------- NAME: Chi no gisei [Blood Offering] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Medium CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu  ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS:  N/A REQUIREMENT: Blessed by the Kami DESCRIPTION: An old technique even by Yume standards, even a majority of that outdated family has moved away from bloodletting.  However Yume chakra and Yume blood does hold power. To use this jutsu the Yume will perform whatever ceremony they like, while gathering chakra and spreading it through their body.  They will then focus it to a specific area, and cut themselves.  While they bleed they will pour chakra into their blood and onto whatever plant or soil they're bleeding on. While this jutsu has been mostly replaced with Gifts to the Kami, there are still Kami who enjoy these offerings.  Some of them are very dangerous Kami.  Like the Gifts to the Kami technique, this jutsu provides enough chakra to sustain a plant for a week. ---------- NAME: Seimei no momo [Fruit of Life] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu (Medical) ELEMENT: N/A HANDSEALS: 3 Dragon - Boar - Dog REQUIREMENT:  DESCRIPTION: The Yume forms hand seals while gathering up their chakra, and then infuses that chakra into a single piece of fruit no smaller than a small apple or plum.  The chakra quickly fills the fruit, causing it to grow heavy and ripe.  The chakra also tends to cause the fruit to swell slightly, and blush slightly towards pink. The fruit will provide whoever eats it a great amount of nutrition and healing.  This exactly matches the positive benefits of eating a Military Rations Pill, and like a rations pill no more than 3 of such fruit and/or ration pills can be eaten in a single topic without adverse effects.

Kami o Okoshimasu [Wake the Kami]: I think we need to outline the extent of the alterations/give some broad concept of what transformative processes the plants go through here, otherwise we have no way of knowing if the D-rank and 3 handseals are balanced elements or not. Just saying subtle and drastic changes isn't enough, we need to understand the bounds of these changes.

Kami Kaiwa [Speak with Spirits]: No notes, I just wanted to let you know I really like this one.

Chi no gisei [Blood Offering]: I'm not sure about the necessity of this one or its place in the lore - the history of the clan doesn't mention offerings and Gift to the Kami also doesn't mention a history before it of using blood offerings. None of the Yume SAs imply that their blood holds any special properties and this seems like adding an additional ability where not previously present.

Seimei no momo [Fruit of Life]: I'd like to see a higher chakra cost on this as well as a higher hand seal count. Since this is essentially a jutsu that allows you to skirt around an inventory restriction, it needs to be more limited. Also missing your Blessed by the Kami requirement.
