With the Chunin exams on the Horizon The Tsuchikage wanted to take it upon herself to make sure that each of the genin from each allied nation were prepared for what was to come. And so Takara sent out letters to each of the allied nation leaders and tasked them to meet within the city of Kuwana, and directed them to a large stadium that was in the process of being redesigned for the upcoming exams.

Inside was a large space that looked to be about the size of colosseum, and was packed with large spaces that looked sectioned off for specific activities. But there was also an air of intrigue as large structures seemed to be erected specifically what looked to be a rather elaborate entry way on the eastern and western side with large monitors above each one, on it was the Iwagakure logo seemingly infused with the logo of the Okada clan on with text that read. "Broadcast pending.”

For a few moments everyone would find themselves in place, standing around before hearing the sounds of what seemed to be a voice over a loud speaker. "Awright...is dis this thing on good.” the voice was that of one Taki Okada an chunin from Iwagakure who was going to be the coordinator of the event. "Glad you guys could make it, My name is Taki Okada and welcome to da Kuwana Dome, Now as you awl know…the chunin exams are coming up soon and you guys are da prime candidates for entry, and as such we need to make sure dat you guys are in top shape. If ya will please direct your attention to da monitas!” as she said this two monitors would switc their broadcast to something resembling a power point showcasing some information about the previous exams.

A small graphic would show up on screen that would showcase the last 15 candidates and how they scored. Showcasing Iwagakure, Yuki and Ame placing in the top 15, with Takigakure being off the board. "Now den, Last year De alliance smashed the top 15, but dis year we got a lot o competition ahead of us, and with the chunin exams bein held out ere in Alliance territory dis year dat means we really gotta bring it!” The screen would then turn to static and then shut off only for the sounds of a megaphone to be heard as footsteps alerted the others to their presence. "We can't let da odda side outclass us...so for the next 9 days."

After a moment Taki and a few of the other Chunin from the respective allied natoins would emerge and form a line standing in front of the young future chunin in training. "We are gonna be putting you kids ta woik.” as the other Chunin instructors from Yukigakure, Takigakure, Amegakure and Iwagakure would reveal themselves. "Now dat we're done here, talk to one o dem dey'll have somethin for ya ta do. This is our year so let's get this shit started.”

In this thread, Genin and village leaders from their respective nations are allowed to add in any opening comments, from here a series of threads will be opened up to assist characters with learning about their weakness or exposing them to things they hadn’t been apart of before, as well as learning more about other cultures and building rapport between the Taki, Yuki, Ame, Kiri and Iwagakure alliance.

Around the area are a series of practice fields for things like Sparring, practice ranges, a medical facility for treating any injuries that may occur, and other local amenities in the surrounding Kuwana area however the main focus is on the exams itself. Characters with CE experience [gained ICly or otherwise.] are highly encouraged to participate.

The other Iwagakure Chuunin cut a very different frame from Taki Okada. Where she was dressed lightly, almost playfully, with the blue eyes and blonde hair to be expected from an Okada, this one was different. Odd, from top to bottom.

To start with, her hair was an entirely unusual glossy blue, falling in thick translucent strands rather than locks of hair. She was also dressed strangely heavily for a shinobi- armored plates draped down her form and limbs. It looked heavy- but she didn't seem to struggle to move in it at all. Behind her back, the thick knots of a shimenawa belted her obi into place beneath her armor- but the belt wasn't cloth.

It was corded steel rope.

All in all, the blue-haired Iwagakure girl gave off the impression of an armored tank more than a nimble shinobi, but her inclusion here spoke to the deceptive nature of that appearance. She couldn't possibly be as clunky as she looked, or she wouldn't have made it this far.

Which begged the question... what exactly was she specialized in that she wore that much metal? The Genin would just have to wait and see what tricks she had up her sleeves.

[Kasumi Momochi]

A DEMON HAS PURPOSE

There is only one path left to take.

Kasumi wasn't even sure about this whole pep rally that Taki had helped organize. When she stepped out to join the two on the stage, it seemed obvious that she had a chip on her shoulder. Not to mention her deadly blade resting casually over it held in her left hand.

A few bags under her eyes and an exhaustion. She'd only made it to the village just before the event after walking the whole way. It wasn't a pleasant journey to push through.

She'd watch the Genin with narrowed eyes, as if searching for a wolf among the pack of children. She wasn't sure enough about them yet.

Didn't mean they wouldn't have a chance to surprise her though. She wasn't always the best at reading the strength of people.

She'd stand with Souma between her and Taki, stifling a yawn as she glanced at the chuunin she hadn't met before.

"Is anyone normal in Iwa..?" She mumbled under her breath, looking back to the kids with a scowl. Something was off, but she was determined to figure out what it was before she made her way back home.

Even if it meant that she'd have to beat the snot out of some kids and call it training. Maybe that was the therapy she needed.

Demon Chakra:
Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a low drain on Kasumi's chakara.


Demon sword style:
Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Demon chakra pool:
Kasumi was born with higher than average chakara reserves, letting her use more chakara and jutsu without being exhausted. A natural gift from her lineage. She has learned how to properly take advantage of these reserves.

One Handed Demon Style:
Through patience and recklessness, Kasumi has mastered the ability to do jutsu with only one available hand. She can cast jutsu only using one hand for the seals.

We are violence As one of the elite jounins of the Hidden Mist Village, Kyouka was sent to the Land of Earth for the meeting regarding the future Chuunin Exam that was about to take place in there. She was actually interested in going this time, for it had been a while since she visited the place. Still, when she caught word that the Okada were taking a prominent position in its organization, she got mildly annoyed, because it meant that the annoying blond would be there, and just like she suspected, she was. For most of the speech, Kyouka remained sitting in the back, looking rather bored. Kasumi was there as well, so at least there was the potential that some nice drama would take place, and it would be rather entertaining to watch. When the girl mumbled regarding people not being really normal in the Hidden Rock, Kyouka chuckled and looked at the girl. "You still have to ask? Hehehehe!" she said in her mocking tone as usual. Then, she looked at Taki and smirked with the corner of her mouth. "Big words for someone who barely passed the former exam. How come are you helping organize this one? Is that your punishment? Lovely. This would be just as good an excuse to excuse himself from the other elders back at the Council as breaking every bone in his body… no, no, no, that was mean of you.

But still, some fresh air this was. Especially with all of these Genin gathered around, potential candidates for the upcoming Chūnin Exams and each their respective village’s representant. Kumori stood tall and stern, able to tower over most and keep an eagle’s eye on the crowd with his arms gently crossed. Leave him alone – he was an old man. He liked going to places, seeing things and teaching folks, just as long as he didn’t end up keeling over in a land other than the Land of Water.

… However, hearing the little raindrop’s voice nearby made him reconsider his chances at survival. Oh boy, here we go again - the biggest menace he’s ever had the privilege of tutoring in all his years of being a Jōnin... and one of her protegés too. A recipe for butthurt, most likely...

Aww.

Seeing Kyōka with her own subordinates made the old man’s heart warm up again, temporarily forgetting just what devilish miasma had given birth to her. Therefore, he decided to turn toward her with a waving hand and a wide, fatherly smile that was far more ironic than he even knew. "Allow me to offer you my congratulations for your student’s promotion! As much as it pains me to have missed watching her perform, I expected nothing less... don’t you agree, you little devil?”

[Admani Kaen]

 


 When the Ame lord tasked him with this assignment Kaen jumped at the chance. This was a way to sharpen his already growing skills in teaching. Though he was new at teaching he had some successes here and there. But the Special Jonin was still new at the profession. Admani would be seen nose deep in his note book taking notes on the construction of Iwa's dome. As he scribbled. When Okada brought his attention to the hopefuls he stopped his notes. he had gotten what he wanted he could do mock up's of structures when he was home in Amegkure, now he had Genin to train. He closed the book and put it in one of the many pouches on his vest. He offered what he hoped was a friendly smile for the hopeful kiddo's. It helped when he thought  academy students... sometimes. He of course had his box of many things strapped on his back.


 As he made his way to the line up of instructors he was probably the more bland looking of the colorful personality's. The red head would chose to stay silent as he allowed the colorful people around him to carry on. He knew they where from Kiri, Kaen would allow them to approach him they where having a moment.

Ouritsu spent the majority of Taki's speech trying not to burst out in laughter. The two hadn't interacted much, if any, and her voice was something that couldn't be prepared for; or the accent to be specific. Alas, it would have been a less than great look to the representatives from the other villages if one of Iwa's own couldn't take this moment seriously. He wasn't entirely sure how his participation in this event had come to be something he was now tasked with, but it wasn't like he had a whole lot of other stuff going on anyway. Besides, when the call for those with exam experience went out the young Nohime couldn't help but remember his own time there and the help he had received leading up to it, so it only felt right to pay things forward.

While he wasn't on a first name basis with the other Iwa shinobi on stage it was good to see that he wouldn't be the lone representative from the village helping out, though chances were the Okada was going to make her presence known in more ways than just a monitor. In terms of what the chunin could help the aspiring entrants with well, he'd try and not work them too hard and he hoped that they wouldn't find the list of tasks too boring though it would also be important to impart some kind of wisdom about the exams when he could. The participants came from all over with varying degrees of experience and all types of specialties so there was no telling what kind of person he would end up crossing paths with. Fun times.

[Sesshoku, Hizou]

The warm plains of Tsuchi no Kuni were a stark contrast to the frigid cold of Hizou's home country and it wasn't anything like the deary grey, rain soaked Amegakure he had visited on a diplomatic mission a few months prior. Masahiko-sensei had signed Hizou for the exam, leading him to be given an invitation to the stadium he now found himself in. In the confines of the large building, Hizou felt uncomfortable in his clothing; warm even after removing several unnecessary layers for the hotter climate. He kept a distant look plastered on his face, gazing through the lenses of his golden frames toward the screen on his western flank as it blinked with a simple message.

It seemed like forever until the screen flashed with the face of a blonde Iwagakure shinobi. A proctor prephaps, Hizou thought. He then listened carefully to them talk, finding it quite difficult to comprehend exactly what they were trying to say. After some introspection, he ascertained most of what was meant to be conveyed.

Upon the screens turning off, revealing the Kunoichi on stage Hizou's attention peaked. He had finally gotten use to her strange exotic accent. Something about talking to allied sensei's. Hizou begun stepping forward, looking for any superior he could converse with.
