That said, the young man continued his observation of the girl in front of him. She was intelligent enough, and oh how he loved people who weren’t dumb as bricks, but she still bedded a lot of guidance in how to properly cast these kinds of jutsu. Though, he couldn’t fault her. The purpose of Doton, their shared base element, was usually to be unmoving and solid. However, that would hardly serve one well when turning oneself into stone in combat. Being solid would help take hits, but if you couldn’t move you’d end up entirely useless. Humans had to run out of chakra eventually, after all. Being unmoving would mean either dropping the jutsu or not being able to attack and eventually running out of chakra.

"Oh! Like a Doton clone!" Azarea's eyes lit up as she dropped the jutsu focusing once more on channeling her chakra through her pinky as she pictured it hard, but mobile like one of the rock clones. The stone her flesh, but her muscle and veins chakra alowing it to flex and move as she pleased as her finger one more darkened to hard stone, then this time her hand until finally she'd stretched the justu down to her wrist. Opening her eyes she grins all teeth and mirth as she hols out the closed fist to Kazuyuki... and opens her palm. Her appendage appearing as though dipped in stone, but instead was made of solid rock all the way through. As mobile and moving as the doton techniques under her command. Her natural chakra nature making it easier to control.

With the jutsu now downpat the true challenge was speed and control. With Kazuyuki and her lingering at the training ground for hours yet until Azarea was scraping the very bottom of the barrel of her chakra, but by the time they were done she could at least shift her body. She would not yet have the control and mastery Kazuyuki had, but it was a start. A beginning of something to improve her chances of survival in the upcoming exams if the monsters lurking for her in Iwa were to be believed.
