The surrounding mountains make it easily defensible while the natural route itself allows for easy access to the rest of the continent. Work with builders from Nohara no Kuni and Kaminari no Kuni to establish a small trading post and shore up the post’s defenses. This mission may be completed twice, increasing the trade outpost’s development with each successful completion. Slot 1 - Kyuumu Takame, Gure Okingshi and Eitama Sora Slot 2 - Azarea and Honō Kojirou A GRASSY RESPITE MISSION RANK: C NPC REQUIREMENT: N/A PARTICIPANTS: See Below DESCRIPTION: There is no location more suited to receive a trade envoy from the East than the village of Hirata stationed on the border of Nohara no Kuni and Hi no Kuni. The village is already notable for its capable economy and as a hub of frequent foot traffic along the road into greater Hi no Kuni. Meet with the local builders from both the Land of Fields and the Land of Lightning to establish a permanent trade station at the outskirts of the settlement. This mission may be completed twice, increasing the trade outpost’s development each time. Slot 1 - Uzumaki Atagi and Murahira Hana Slot 2 - Honō Kojirou and Murahira Hana A FRIEND'S NORTHERN BORDER MISSION RANK: C NPC REQUIREMENT: N/A PARTICIPANTS: Azarea and Izumi Kameki DESCRIPTION: Travel to northern Hi no Kuni, near where the border intersects with Rice-Field Country and Hot-Springs country, to establish a trading post. Do note that the thick forest to the east of Heiwa is heavily controlled by a wealthy lumbering company. Its master is strongly opposed to foreign investors making a foothold in his territory and without his approval this job is doomed to fail. Deal with the lumbermaster diplomatically in order to ensure the outpost’s long term success. WEALTH BEYOND THE RIDGE MISSION RANK: C NPC REQUIREMENT: N/A PARTICIPANTS: Azarea and Narahashi Koume DESCRIPTION: A long mountain range bisects the land to the west of Himitsu in Hi no Kuni. Establish a trading post in the region, and navigate the land through the mountain range to ensure safe travel, free of bother from the local beasts and bandits that call this area home. Watch out for falling rocks! b-rank missions. THE SOUND OF SILENCE MISSION RANK: B NPC REQUIREMENT: Optional PARTICIPANTS: 2-3 DESCRIPTION: Hot-Springs Country has long been a neutral ground for summits and meetings, and eagerly agreed to the construction of a new trading post within their territory. However, small squads of Otogakure shinobi have been attempting to establish a foothold in the northwest region where construction was slated to begin. Deal with the intruders, secure the region, and ensure the location is safe so that the trading post can survive. MOUNTING TENSIONS MISSION RANK: B NPC REQUIREMENT: Optional PARTICIPANTS: Kouga Kanoh and Hirana Kizumi DESCRIPTION: Kumogakure and Shimogakure have a bloody history. Though the ruler of the Land of Frost has tentatively agreed to the construction of the trade route in an effort to mend the wounds of the past, Shimogakure shinobi who remember the Kumo-Shimo conflict are up in arms. Travel to the region east of Shimogakure to set up a trading post and treat with the locally stationed shinobi; either handle things diplomatically, or silence the most outspoken critics of the Frost Daimyo’s will. Kusagakure shinobi will be invaluable in keeping tensions low and the situation diplomatic.
