Though the streets of Kuwana were thrumming with crowds beating like the heart of the city with an overflow of people there did exist a few niches and nooks for those seeking more quiet activities could retreat to. One such place was a little bookstore down an alley off the main road called the Sekiban Bookstore. The store itself chock full of novels and educational material including a few scattered justu scrolls and other interesting literature for those looking for more risque paraphernalia though if the individual couldn't prove themselves of age they'd find themselves swiftly run out of the shop by the old buddy who owned the place should they try and sneak into that particular back corner.

Like many before her and many that would come after Azarea found herself drawn to the place. The red headed Kumo-nin with her scars, rough worn jacket and jumpsuit, and village headband tied to her upper left bicep could be seen browsing the shelves. Idly running her gloved fingers along the spines as she read the titles of the novels and very nearly crashing into another individual as they both came around the end of the shelf at the same time. Azarea barely managing to leap back to avoid collusion as she flashed the other book lover a grin. "Sorry about that. Are you looking for something on this shelf? It's mostly on the flora and fauna of Tsuchi no Kuni." She apologies and explains with a small lopsided grin as she forces the smile.

[Sesshoku, Hizou]

Hizou had found himself in one of the many bookstores littered around Kuwana. His bare hands brushed over the leather spines of each book, patiently meditating as images of their history flooded through his mind. The young Sesshoku found many of the books were newly printed with almost no memories imbued into their hardened material. However intermingled within them were a few with weathered covers and their deep historical lives. Hizou took an extra few moments on these to discover their secrets, letting the mental pictures manifest in his mind's eye. He found himself seeing the books resting on nightstands and bookshelves, Iwagakure civilians and shinobi occasionally reading them; all faces unfamiliar to him.

Suddenly a bell chimed, alerting Hizou to someone entering the store. The genin quickly pulled his attention away from the books and concentrated his budding sensory skill toward their direction. Hizou could barely see their chakra presence; but from what he could tell they were a shinobi. He then peeked around the bookshelf to see a red haired woman wearing a Kumogakure symbol on their arm. 'A exam participant?' Hizou thought.

Pretending to mind his own business, Hizou continued to keep his sensory ability fixated on the Kumogakure shinobi; hoping to fabricate a situation he could potentially use his kekkai genkai on their belongings. As the woman moved along the asile, the Yukigakure genin stepped into their way, colliding with her in what appeared to be an accident. "Oft. Sorry" Hizou apologised.

As the girl spoke, Hizou place a hand on her shoulder, distracting her sense of touch as he charged fuuton chakra into his other and attempted to pickpocket her. He would abruptly stop as he felt something cling to his hand. A look of mixed surprise and shook drew on the blondes face as he saw bugs crawling across his pale skin. "What?" Hizou exclaimed.

"Umm. No, I'm looking for a book on political history of Iwagakure. Namely the civil war I've heard about" He meekly said, as he tried to ride off what had just occurred.

Bugs? BUGS!?

Not only where they bugs. They were angry bugs. The Kikaichu though small and gilded with their fuzzy white fluff where no slouches as they clung to him as Kikaichu were created to do. Their little legs and mandibles latching into his skin as they let out small hisses. "Oh the civil war? That sounds like a fascinating read let me know if~" Azarea begins before the sounds of her companions catch her attention her focus zeroing in on her Kikaichu that are swarming over the boys hand as she takes a rapid sharp step back and away from his grip her expression turning wary. Knowing full well that her swarm was not prone to attacking for no reason.

"What do you think you're doing!?" She demands her voice sharp, firm, and filled with authority. Right as the Hizou's day promptly got worse. Not only where there bugs. Angry bugs at that. They were angry. BITING. bugs. As the Kikaichu latched their mandibles into his flesh and began trying to tear into him in a manner most painful.

Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria [Queen's Coronation Regalia]
A mutated variant of the Aburame clans Yūdai no Omorejō ["Bewildering Grandeur of the Alpha"] resulting from the subsequent poisoning of Azarea's former Yūdai no Omorejō hive to prevent potential hijutsu theft. While the Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria lacks the Yūdai no Omorejō size instead Azarea's hive has maintained the ability to produce alpha pheromones and commanding vibrations. Evolving instead to hyperspecialize in these two aspects allowing them to produce pheramones and vibrations strong enough to be detected by human hearing and sense of smell.

[Sesshoku, Hizou]

While Hizou failed to pick the women's pocket due to the unexpected existence of strange bugs, he did in fact successfully gain information off her jacket when he touched her shoulder. It wasn't prolonged enough to gain a substantial amount of 'memory' from the piece of clothing, but he did discover several things about her movements during the last twenty-four hours. From her arrival to Kuwana with the Raikage yesterday, through to her activities this morning; Hizou hadn't learnt much he could use in the coming exams, but instead found hints to her deposition.

As he listened to the girl and thought over the images he saw, a stinging sensation begun to develop over his hand. He took a quick glance down at it, seeing more beatles having swarmed his digits and palm. When it became obvious to the girl that her Kikaichu latched onto Hizou's hand, he tried to hide it however the pain begun raising enough to cause Hizou's face to scrunch in slight pain. "Ahh. What the hell" Hizou yelled.

It burned like hundreds of minuscule hyperdermic needles stabbing under his skin. He shook his hand, now unable to hide his hand now covered in the bugs. "I just.. I just... What's happening?" Hizou groaned as the pain continued.

Arching a brow Azarea called off her insect with a crook of her fingers. The little beetles flitting back to her and ducking into her pockets and sleeves where a few peak their little heads out chittering angrily at Hizou as the woman in question observes him with a skeptical eye. "Did you... did you just try to pickpocket me?" Azarea questions deciding to be blunt as she stares Hizou down giving the other boy a chance to come clean.

Hizou waved his hand again, attempting to flick the bugs off as the pain continued to intensify. It wasn't until he noticed the girl make a slight twitch of her fingers that the bugs retreated back to her sleeve. He looked down at his now cleared hand to see fine pin pricks all over it. A confused Hizou took a moment to take a deep breathe in, comprehending what had just happened. 'Were they under her control?' Hizou thought to himself as the pain they were causing subsided.

The young Sesshoku then watched the genin kunoichi step back into a slightly stand-offish stance. Hizou wasn't surprised by this, he did just get caught attempting to pickpocket her. His face was striken with anxiety as she accused him; causing him to react on the defensive. The boy waved his arms and shook his head in denial. With a long face, he quickly thought of a response. "No. No. It's a misunderstanding, my hand slipped. I'm very sorry" Hizou apologised and fell into a deep bow.

He wouldn't be surprised if the girl was smart enough to see through his ruse, but the ever learning diplomat knew just how to fix such a situation. Rising from his bow, Hizou reached into his pocket to grab his gloves which he hastily equipped. "Let me make it up to you. I will buy a book for you, your choice. Pick any one you want." Hizou uttered, motioning around the book store - knowing to well she would probably struggle to resist such an offer.

Hell Hath No Fury

"Uh-huh..." Azarea murmured a second brow arching to join the first at the boys boldness to not only try to pickpocket her, but to also attempt to play it off as an accident, and then try to bribe her to forget about the incident. It was clever really. Honestly she was a bit impressed, but he'd never learn at this rate and more importantly the Kumo ninja had her own skills in need of practice. She'll just consider them even after this.

Schooling her features into one of horrified embarrassment and femininely fury Azarea put her acting skills to use as she recoiled backwards pointing right at Hizou, "PERVERT!!!! HOW DARE YOU TOUCH ME LIKE THAT! DON'T THINK I DIDN'T SEE YOU SPYING ON ME BETWEEN THE ISLES!" She hadn't actually, but the whole thing sounded more believable as a setup. Fake tears pooling on her lashes as Azarea looked fit to cry her arms crossed protectively over her chest....

Right as the angry old biddy manning the cash register came skidding around the corner with a broom in hand swinging and rapidly baring down on Hizou.

[Sesshoku, Hizou]

Hizou raised a hand to his head, kneading his fingers through the golden locks he adorned. He took a moment to sigh as he awaited the kunoichi's response. Once he had pulled his fringe away from his eyes, he dropped his arm down and begun to reach for his wallet. Almost immediately, Hizou watched as the Kumogakure shinobi pose contorted into one of disgust and shock; body language that was obviously fake in Hizou's eyes.

Such a response, an act which Hizou didn't expect. The woman was quite the actor, knowing to well how to manifest fake tears. And then... there was the accusation. Hizou's eyes widened at the allegations; he could only retreat into himself, feeling embrassment as she transitioned his offer to her own advantage. "I.. I.. why would you..." Hizou's reply was quickly cut off as the bookstore clerk came around the corner with improvised weapon in hand.

Hizou jumped back, cautiously dodging the broom the clerk wielded. "It's not what it seems!!" Hizou exclaimed as he continued to duck and weave away from the wooden handle.

He glared at the mischievous Azarea as he fell back toward the entrance of the store. Hastily running away from the scene.

She flashed him a smile full of teeth and mischief while the store clerk's back was turned before returning to her distraught act. Allowing the woman to console her for a time before asking if she had any books on the Iwagakure civil war. Tearfully explaining that she just wanted to know the great history and culture of the land that was hosting her. Thankfully the clerk didn't ask too many questions other then murmuring about how one had to be more cautious of boys and ringing up her purchases. Shopping bag in hand Azarea strolled out waving thankfully back at the woman before going in search of the boy.

"You know... all's fair in love and war. Where you actually looking for a book on the Iwa civil war or was that just an excuse?" Azarea called out once the woman had successfully tracked him down. The novel she'd purchased on the subject held up to show him to prove she wasn't just pulling the boys leg. A peace offering per chance.

"You got a name Pockets?" She inquires with an arch of her brow and a warm fanged grin.

Hizou had found himself walking along the hardened clay footpath back to his hotel room. With his head down, now gloved hands in his pockets and a look of defeat written over his face,  the boy kicked a small pebble as he strode. He sulked heavily at his luck; being caught in the act, then bitten by those darn bugs and to make things worse that woman accused him of inappropriate touching. 'Tch!?' his lips smacked as he adjusted his glasses further up the bridge of his nose.

It was just as he was about to turn a corner that he heard a female voice from behind. That female's voice.... In an instant, Hizou spun to look at her. His face contorting into one of disthraught shame while flailing his arms and hands in front of his chest. "I don't want any trouble. Please. Just lea...." He stopped mid sentence after her words clicked and his eyes dropped to the book in her hands.

"Um. Yes. It's something I've always been curious about. Iwagakure has almost always been an ally of my village, you see. Yet their internal stability at times has been worrisome, which in turn is worrisome for us. Sorry about what happened in there, I just get urges to test my sleight of hand skills every now and then. But I guess there's no excuse. I'm sorry" Hizou apologised, bowing once again in front of the red-haired maiden.

"Kiringo, Hizou of Yukigakure no Sato." He introduced himself before quickly arising from his bent position. "And you?" Hizou asked.

"Well you're lucky... or perhaps unlucky my teammate was a kleptomaniac so I am more tolerant then most," She quips and indeed her bugs over the years had become well trained to nip any wandering fingers trying to find their way into her things with an unerring accuracy that came from age old practice. Much to Hizou's misfortune.

"But don't try being a handsy pervert again Pockets." The Kumo nin adds as she tosses him the book he'd been looking for with a teasing smirk. His nickname seeming to have stuck, "The name's Azarea," She adds, the lack of last name notable.
