Through out the busy streets of the blossoming tourist attraction that was the site of the Chuunin exams brought a wealth of people to Iwagakure. Stalls were set up in days by last minute preppers, celebrations were happening everywhere, and by any gods that did exist Konsho would KILL for ear plugs or reverse summoning! Sitting in a good distance away from the crowds- but by no means hiding himself, the blue haired introvert was enjoying a cup of instant ramen underneath a particularly shady tree. From the outside he seems to just be watching the sprawling local for entertainment.

Konsho admittedly wasn't very sure why he was here, at least from his point of view. He was here because he needed to graduate to chuunin at some point, and with his paperwork keeping him from missions, this was the best he was going to get for experience. But what good would that do him? Give him higher class paperwork?... Wait would it? How many signatures does that need? Questions for later.

For now, Konsho was engaging in a past time: existential dread and pointing it at society as a whole. At the moment, it was tying the progression of one's lowest rank of military to a semi regular competition. Konsho knew pride and justification of said pride was important to most people- but this was inefficient to a whole knew level. From his understanding every other permission had actual tests- both physical, mental, and combat based. But here they were- tying the most common promotion to a contest to see who can show off the most. It all seemed unnecessary to him. Then again so did most pomp and circumstance in general. Sooo.... not much different from usually honestly.

The streets were loud and crowded and Azarea found herself decidedly overwhelmed and just done with the world. Her head was aching, fledgeling sensory abilities pushed to their limits, and knowing the amount of paperwork she needed to file to implement the ideas she'd seen at the exams thus far for the future was already exhausting her and she'd yet to draft it. Not to mention the reports, letter, training, and other menial tasks that required handling and frankly though childish she didn't feel all that guilty about hiding up a tree to enjoy a cup of tea and an arm full of street food. The woman having just finished a teriyaki chicken kebab as she moved to grab her dango one from her food bag when she fumbled the stick. The little piece of wood plummeting from the tree to bounce off the head of an unfortunate blue haired boy sitting below. Grimacing as she realized she'd been caught Azarea realized a confrontation could not be avoided.

"Sorry about that," She called down pitching her voice just loud enough to be heard from where she'd concealed herself amongst the leaves. Leaving just her bright scarlet eyes to be seen amidst the shadows of the foilage.

Then of course there was the fact that the shinobi system had proved battlefield promotions and valid and accurate method; so why waste all of this-

Stick. Probably a squirrel in the trees. No... too smooth and unnatural in shape. Smelled vaguely of teriyaki sauce. Someone was above him. Well they hadn't showed themselves till now. Probably a fellow introvert enjoying food away from the tourist horde. No need to bother either of themselves. Besides giving the image of an aloof shinobi was good to project pre exams.

Or... not. Konsho shook his head at the apology as he looked up, ruby eyes covered by his true expression: what his friends lovingly called a 'poker face' that didn't hint towards his actual emotional state. They had similar eyes to his. Interesting. "I didn't think my fashion sense was bad enough to actually be mistaken for a trash can." Fiddling with the stick between his fingers, Konsho would spin the thin object whilst knocking his pinky against it. Good quality. Must have gotten it from the Iwa makes. They made everything needlessly dense for banding sake. It was a source of pride for many to claim they could break anything they made- which encouraged more people to flock and prove they could break those objects, thus allowing them to charge even more.

But breaking things didn't require strength necessarily. One last spin would have it stop vertical, held with his middle finger on it's left side, his ring and index fingers on the right. Pressure... here. A few seconds of curling his fingers and the stick broke into two pieces, broken right around his middle finger, before quickly being folded into makeshift chop sticks. Placing the broken object on the ground, Konsho would keep looking up at the stranger above. "Too busy for you?"

Quirking a brow at the blue haired boy Azarea grinned showing off a flash of fangs in the shadows of the leaves as she smiled down at Konsho, "No worries about your fashion sense. If you were a trash can the local genin assigned to clean would have attempted to pick you up already." The woman teased her eyes tracking the spin and twirl of the stick before drifting back to the boy noting his own ruby eyes. He looked young. Not as young as some in the exams, but certainly younger then her by a few years. The chuunin exams badge glinting on his person as Azarea cocked her head to one side just barely catching his question.

"People can't request your help with paperwork if they can't find you," She quips with a loose shrug recalling the mess some of her fellow genin had made with their chuunin exam signups, "Besides no one thinks to look in the obvious places right under their noses. Typically the closer you hide the harder you are to find." Azarea adds this time succeeding in retrieving her stick of dango without dropping anything further on the younger nin's head.

"Wanna join me? There's room on the other branch and it'll keep you from being recycled." The woman jokes, but her offer is an honest one.

Oh good, she has wit too. At least Konsho thought it was a she. He didn't really feel like investigating. Funny how he either got loud boisterous people or witty people. Never any in between.

Oh! That's new. Also incredibly relatable. "Well, hard to find so long as you don't drop trash on someone." Konsho would return to her mix of quips and observations. "Although if it had been less obviously crafted, I probably would have assumed a squirrel broke a branch." The boy would admit, swallowing the last of his meal. He'd quickly ascend the tree with ease, years in the jungle making that easier. He'd move the way he always had, utilizing his whole body and momentum to half swing half glide his way up to the stranger. It was a bit harder to do with only one tree to work with, but it would have to do. But his mind was noticing more things than he used to.

In the forest he was used to searching for constantly jumping from tree to tree and identifying the weaker branches before landing on them. But now his mind also observed the way the sturdy ones moved under his weight. The one he assumed the kunoichi had pointed out would certainly bear his weight with no issue. However, the branch's edge had shook more than he expected. Perhaps a focused strike could break it. He'd test that after the other kunoichi was gone. For now he'd jump to another equally sturdy branch slightly above her.

Now that Konsho was actually at eye level he got a better look at her. The Apes definitely would have named her Red as well. She was also notably older than him. Not his mother's age but the gap was easily seen. More notable however was the badge. Another examinee. What a coincidence. "What kind of paper work do you handle? The seven makes me think you're not likely to be some eccentric accountant."

Red was an description easily associated with Azarea. The woman was red from nearly head to toe. Red hair, scarlet eyes, raised dark red scars bisecting pale skin, a red, brown, and black jumpsuit, a red jacket... red blood dried to a near black still under some of her nails despite her constantly cleaning them. At least when she bled the color never stood out. Her pale red lips quirked into a slight smile as she watched the boy climb up before he settles on the branch just above her making the woman have to crane her head to look at him much to her annoyance though she doesn't let that irritation show. "Right now I mostly handle writing and filing mission reports as a lot of my partners couldn't fill out paperwork properly to save their life. Other times it's equipment requests from my allotment and others from the armory. Prior to this I handled most civilian requests and basic reports in regards to worker stipends, planting, and merchant trade contracts, and did a lot of filing. You?" Azarea inquires with an arched brow. Konsho's interest having not gone unnoticed by his fellow sufferee of filing.

"I'm Azarea by the way. Of Kumogakure." She introduces herself and her village if the cloud forehead protector tied to her upper left bicep hadn't given away her allegiance.
