Today's training was about learning something new! What that was he didn't know! The adventure started with figuring out what someone wanted and why not to do amid the forest right? Seemed like sound logic to the young academy student known as Futago Saito as he found himself in the forest with nothing but himself and a few tools he was able to sneak away. He wasn't allowed to have the tools he normally had with him when he was training as it was deemed dangerous for a child his age to be playing with them. Saito wasn't playing though he was training! Why couldn't they figure this out? Whatever he would still train anyways![break][break]

Sadly the only weapons he was able to sneak out were the items in his bracers which doubled as weights anyways. So he was very limited on his supplies, but on the flip side, it did mean he could practice his training somewhat. The issue was how? Normally they would use training dummies or trees as their practice tests, but he didn't want to deal with stationary targets. No, he wanted something moving and while the local fauna could be a good idea those would leave a lot of evidence behind which could result in him getting into some serious trouble. So he decided to work on his catchphrases and posing instead. [break][break]

Standing in the middle of a clearing almost like it was a stage for him he would extend his arms to the sky and say "Burn bright blazing sun and let your ray's lights illuminate the world as I lay these pitiful creatures to rest!" He would then quickly point with one hand extended out to the abyss of the forest while the other arm would lower to his forehead with an open palm facing away from it. His left leg would be extended out and pointed to the ground and he would lean back to create an almost one hundred-ten angle to the ground with his body language. Saito would keep this pose for a few seconds before returning to his starting position.

A silhouette cloaked in the forest's shadows staggered forward slowly. Even the high noon sunlight struggled to pierce through the lasting auburn foliage, which had mostly withered and decayed during the beginning of winter. With each step the figure swayed back and forth, ever closing in on the academy students location. A constant deep hoarse cough could be heard coming from the stranger, as rays of daylight begun hitting their attire revealing a filth covered grey hooded cloak.

Wandering further into the light of day, Okingshi's pale scarred face and crimson eyes peered from under his crowl toward the boy. At first glance the young blonde haired boy would see a man clothed head to toe in old dirty garments and wearing a respirator covering only the lower half of his face. Flies raced around the entirety of him, only to momentary cling to his clothes as the fabrics movement stagnated.

Okingshi had noticed strange behaviours from the boy when residing in the darkness of the forest; during his usual business of foraging for mushrooms and other fungus. He raised an eyebrow at the academy students unusual antics. "What are you doing child?" Okingshi growled, his voice guttural in tone.

"Ah yes, a worthy adversary!" Saito would announce as the cloaked man would show his presence. Posing even more dramatically with a hand extended open palmed towards the dark visage of the man and the other hand placed upon his chest he would add, "come to tarnish the light with your foul visage demon?" A smile would appear on Saito's face as he stared down the villain of this story he was constructing in his mind. A protector of the woods vanquishing the demon who terrorized the flora and fauna with its mutilated facade sounded like a wonderful tale for a hero in the making![break][break]

In a swift movement of his arms, he unlatched his cape revealing the full extent of his rather interesting outfit choice. "Well have at thee demon lest you fear for the might of Swallow Tail!" Saito would refuse of course to make the first move in a duel for honor though as he was supposed to be the valiant hero in his tale of self-discovery and heroes never made the first strike only villains did! Still, he didn't know what this villain had in store for him so he stood prepared in a stance ready for whatever the man could throw his way. Overconfidence would be this boy's downfall.

Taken aback by the young boy's drivel; Okingshi let out a scoff, followed by a sequence of raspy coughs laden with a haze of more spore particles. It lingered in the air, dotting out bits of sunlight and further concealing his face from the blonde academy student. Recovering from the involuntary action, the hooded Okingshi raised both his hands to the crown of attire and slid its concealment to reveal a mess of grey hair. "Demon?" Okingshi groaned.

He paused for a moment as his mind fell into a second of contemplation.

A pair of shining crimson eyes pierced through the mist of spores between the two, staring sinister and malicious in nature. Okingshi's head lowered as he glared under his brow. "Child... If I were a demon, would you be so bold to taunt me... challenge me.." the Gure growled in a husky voice.

Okingshi swept his hand forward, dissipating the mist in front of him only to reach for the weapon attached to his back. He raised his forehead to reveal the kusagakure headband tied there. "I am a shinobi of Kusagakure, who are you? The Swallow Tail? What would that be child?" A inquisitive Okingshi inquiried with authoritative timbre.

His opponent seemed unfazed by his confidence and theatrics and that was a good thing. he would be a worthy opponent for sure for the legacy that was Swallow Tail! He even revealed his face from his disguise and a wave of an unruly mess of grey hair. This was perfect as only vile criminals didn't keep their hair in good condition. What's more his voice was rough and gruff sounding and even his eyes glowed in the darkness that surrounded him. How vile would this opponent be? The thoughts excited Saito as it meant he may have just found the perfect candidate for his eternal rival. After all every hero needed a villain to always be in combat with![break][break]

The demon would then taunt Saito for his confident berating of the villain to which Saito would smile in enjoyment to know the villain wasn't one to simply give up to his glorious stardom. That was until he showed off his headband that said he was a shinobi of the village. Great so he was picking a fight with a fellow Shinobi hero then? How ridiculous of him. He began to slightly relax his stance as these thoughts filled his mind only to revert to them after realizing something. "You dare mock our village's proud shinobi? Your guise doesn't fool me demon!" Saito had quickly convinced himself that the man before him was not from this village and was rather an imposter trying to sneak in. Yeah, that made sense, and if he apprehended him that would make his legacy as a hero just grow! [break][break]

The false ninja would then ask what swallow tail was and Saito couldn't help and smile even more brightly. Striking a flurry of poses he would announce, "The wings of justice that fly above the fields of green! A hero in the making who brings light upon the darkest shadows! I am Swallow Tail and I will vanquish any who threaten the village and its citizens!" Saito's smile practically illuminated the forest they were in despite it not being that dark anymore with the mist having been dissipated.

Okingshi's glare narrowed as the young boy berated him and his appearance. He knew it was unsettlingly to some, lately he had gotten all too familiar with the quiet whispers and strange looks from villagers as he lurched about the confines of Kusagakure's walls. However this was the first time someone had spoken their mind to him out loud about it. The Gure's red eyes averted away from the boy in contemplation, attempting how to reply to their accusations. He scratched his chin and sighed heavily before looking back toward the blonde haired child. "Think what you will, child. I am no demon." he groaned.

It was clear to Okingshi that there was little in the way of convincing this boy, and decided to threaten him instead. "But if you intend try and vanquish me, shallow tail... Then let me show you, a true demon." He growled, deciding to play along with the child's delusion.

Taking a step forward, Okingshi's mouth taut into a sinister grin before bringing his hands together. Weaving a lengthy set of hand-seals, the Gure's eyes glared down at Saito. It wouldn't be long until a strange mycelium begun to grow and gather over his skin, coating him entirely in a thin film. As his body became covered it started to expand, bloating outward in a grotesque inflated version of his usual appearance.
