What good was power without direction? Strength without purpose? Resting on one's laurels was an easy path to stagnation and once that feeling set in it was difficult to pry oneself from it, so growth was the only option. Asahi had always found it challenging to hone his particular skill set because of how deadly and indifferent it was. A jet of water? Sure it could hurt but that pain would eventually subside. Singed arm hairs or even some dirt on the clothes would pass but there was next to nothing one could do about being hit with a Shakuton technique. Training with allies was always tough and going at it alone provided only so much benefit in his eyes. Hell, even getting in practice with fuinjutsu was tougher than he would have liked but there was enough in the details for him to work on that it wasn't as much a pain.

So what was one to do? Waiting for the next mission to try out stuff in the field was a crapshoot because who knew when the next one would be assigned? No no, he had to just find a way to get some practice in against real people without the threat of hurting an ally which was why the chunin had asked a certain someone to join him today. He was familiar enough with their skillset to know they could help with the more hands on aspect of the training without needing to worry about getting seriously injured themselves.

A day no different than any other: hot, sunny, and sand as far as the eye could see stretched from one end of the training field to the other. A few beaten wooden dummies were scattered about the area and it was about the only thing that made this place look different than any other part of the desert. Asahi sat eyes closed focusing on his breathing attempting to ready himself for what was to come. His skillset required control and finesse which was sometimes difficult in the heat of combat, but he had managed so far and knew that he would have to get even better if he wanted to take that next step.

"No the wind will catch it you gotta aim more to the left."  Zakku told his clone.  "Shut the hell up I know what I'm doing."  His clone spat back.  The pair stood at a distance from Asahi the clone holding his hands up making a diamond.  Raiton surpressed until he was sure of his shot.  Zakku was more than aware of Asahi's sensing abilities and was often jealous of that.  He had never tested how far he could go with it but now was the best oppertunity.

Being asked to help train with Asahi Zakku had agreed but was curious why he wanted to have such a physical confrontation.  He knew this was a new different field from training with Ayukawa or even his old teammates.  Asahi presented a new challenge he'd never considered.  He'd seen a majority of what Zakku was capable of and He'd seen the same out of Asahi.  

lvl Insane!
Bracing himself in a runners stance the original could feel his excitement growing.  This was a new level of challenge and he was more than ready for it.  This also wasn't just training for Kages bodyguard.  It was also training for the speedster.  Getting a nod from the clone Zakku shot off.  Making a mad dash straight at Asahi he made no secret of his attempt to close the distance.  The clone began to charge their Raiton the middle of their finger diamond glowing to life.  

Zakku getting close enough would bank hard kicking up a wave of sand in an attempt to temporary blind his friend as his clone fired.  "Lightning Bolt Technique!"  Dropping down to the sand he'd weave his hand signs letting the bolt of lightning soar over him and straight at Asahi.  While not fully charged to its max potential it was still going to sting if landed.

Lightning Release: Lightning Bolt Technique
This technique is probably one of the most basic Raiton Jutsu out there that deals with actual lightning. The user will first perform the needed hand seals in order, then make a triangle with both their hands with the finger tips as the vertex and two thumbs acting as base. After which, the user will then begin to focus their Raiton Chakra to the Single Point while targeting the opponent within the open Triangle palm as they begin to channel chakra to the mid-point of the triangle. Then user will then pulsate a single bolt of lightning towards the opponent. The damage the bolt can deal is substantial, able to scorch a tree while leaving a dent at full power.

As was no surprise Zakku was ripping and roaring to get things started but it was unique to see him argue with himself about strategy and the such. While Asahi could tell that one of them was molding chakra --and if he had to guess it was the Zakku holding his hands up in an odd shape-- the chunin couldn't tell exactly what he was doing. He had definitely been getting better with his sensory skills and the duo's last mission finding those merchants was testament to that statement, but compared to those who could identify individuals by their chakra signature alone and even be able to tell what nature chakra someone was molding Asahi still had a ways to go. But improving was the name of the game and the sole reason the two, er, three of them were here today.

With whatever spat finally put to bed it seemed that the two Zakku were finally locked in and ready to go, Asahi narrowing his focus to the one who looked to be about ready to charge right at him but also trying to keep track of whatever the other one was cooking up behind him. In one motion a Zakku would bolt towards him straight on, a bit headstrong of a tactic but having a numbers advantage afforded that opportunity the chunin surmised. There was no doubt who the faster of the two of them was and it would only be moments before the blue haired youth arrived, that was, until he took a sharp turn away and in the process kicked up a bunch of sand. "What the.. oh shit, the other one." Asahi exclaimed as he realized that the initial charge was only a diversion meant to take his attention away from the Zakku that had stayed behind in addition to momentarily blocking his field of view. The molding and loosing of chakra could be felt without too much concentration from this distance and thankfully the other Zakku hadn't moved allowing Asahi just enough time to jump to his right to avoid the incoming lightning bolt, his momentum grinding to a halt in the sun soaked sands.

He shouldn't have been surprised at how quickly Zakku upped the ante as the chunin loved to fight, or kill might have been the better term, but either way he was always raring to go so this would be great practice against an aggressive opponent; but staying on the back foot the entire spar was not in Asahi's plan so it was time to show some teeth of his own. A single seal would begin to mold Shakuton chakra through the boys body and with another about four dozen tiny, bright fiery rain drops would form around him. With a wave of his hands half would begin to speed towards one Zakku while the others aimed for the identical blue haired youth. It was the first time the chunin had tried this technique in two different directions but he was confident that they'd at least reach their targets. He hoped that neither would simply try and tank the drops as they'd pass right through and getting hit with too many was gonna require a near immediate trip to the village hospital.

NAME: Shakuton: Amenten [Scorch Release: Scorching Sun Rain]

DESCRIPTION:
A hand seal will mold Scorch Release chakra throughout the user’s body, releasing from themselves bright raindrop-like bullets of superheated energy as projectiles toward one or many targets. These bullets pierce without hinder, though they do not bore through their targets as real bullets would. Instead, this heat passes through the enemy and their defenses as raw heat, singing and burning the flesh all the way through. This makes for a difficult technique to defend against, as only raw bodies of water have been known to stop these bullets in their path through the enemy. While few can do little more than cripple an opponent, many of these fiery raindrops can collectively burn an enemy to death from the inside out, especially if they pass through vital parts of the body. When used through their body, the user will only create a few dozen projectiles to launch. However, if used through the clan’s special Great Desert Sun’s orb of Scorch Release chakra, hundred to thousands of these droplets can be created, raining over an area with countless incendiary raindrops.

Smirking as Asahi dodged out of the way Zakku was sure he'd had him on the ropes but as usual he was wrong.  He got ready to say something smart when the tiny drops of Shakutan appear around Asahi.  "Oh, I haven't seen that one yet."  Finishing his hand signs and replacing himself with his clone he'd let it take the full force of the bullets that were meant for him before the original would take off.

The clones wheezed before disappearing in a puff of smoke.  Zakku felt the memories come to him and let out a low hum.  So that's what it felt like to get hit by Asahi's Shakutan.  Gonna have to make a note to never let that happen to his original form.  Arcing back towards Asahi he unleashed his kunai and threw a couple of pairs at his training partner in an attempt to keep him moving and not making more Shakutan.

NAME: Kawarimi no Jutsu [Body Replacement Technique]

DESCRIPTION:

After performing the necessary hand seals (one post prior to the technique's use) and locating a nearby object within a 10 meter radius (typically a log or something of similar size to their body.), the user switches places with the said object just before an attack lands, creating an optical illusion. During the small interval where they have left their opponent surprised, they may take the time to attack or flee.

While he couldn't be sure which Zakku was the original, watching one switch places with the other in real time quickly answered that question and unfortunately for the possibly unsuspecting clone its body would be riddled by the dozens of sun like drops. If it were a real person then the effects of rapid dehydration would have made themselves present but there had been enough damage done to disperse the clone altogether which was a good sign. The strength of that technique wasn't its blunt force damage capabilities but the effects of riddling the body with burns and sapping the moisture all at once, but it was good to know that the jutsu had the power to get rid of clones.

Asahi would shift focus to the true Zakku who looked to be gearing up for his next move which came in the form of some kunai being launched Asahi's way. There was enough distance between them that dodging wouldn't them wouldn't be much of a problem, hell the chunin could have even tried his hand at deflecting them with some kunai of his own but there was something else he wanted to try. As the weapons neared the Kyokujitsu would perform a set of seals before creating a gust of wind emanating from within and creating a small buffer around his body that would deflect the weapons and send them off course. The technique wasn't anything special but a good way of dealing with thrown weaponry with the added benefit of not having to give up any ground by moving out of the way.

But the fun wasn't done just yet as Asahi would perform another set of seals before inhaling deeply and releasing a powerful wave of wind aimed at his blue haired friend. While it didn't contain any kind of slicing power it was strong enough to lift a man off his feet if taken head on so he hoped Zakku's bravado wouldn't get the best of him.

NAME: Fūton: Bushōgoma [Wind Release: Lazy Spinning Top]

DESCRIPTION:
This is a very basic defensive technique that allows the user to use Fūton to protect themselves. After preforming the handseals a small gust of wind is created around the user, this gust of wind is only strong enough to fend off attacks made by thrown weapons, such as kunai and shuriken; with the wind pushing it off course enough to deflect it from the user.

Watching his weapons be easily brushed aside by the jutsu he knew he could get to Asahi.  He just had to keep running.  That was what he did best besides smart comments and sarcasm.  As the blue hair chunin charge forward he was flung off his feet.  Hitting the sand with a thud he'd quickly return to his feet.  "When did you learn all these wind techniques!?!"  Zakku demanded.  

Weaving his handsigns he brought his clone back.  The pair held their hands together swirling their raiton.  "Alright let's see you block these!"  The pair threw their hands open releasing disks of lightning at Asahi three each.  Zakku clicked his tongue and the clone nodded following behind the disks headed for Asahi in an attempt to follow up and keep him moving.  Zakku didn't want to give him a chance to react.  Though he ha to admit  He was having fun.  It'd been a long time since he had a challenge like this.  It excite and drove Zakku to continue.

NAME: Raiton: Raiso Gekishin [Lightning Release: Lightning Rat Violent Quake]

DESCRIPTION:

After performing hand seals, the user releases a discharge of electricity that fires anywhere from one to six destructive disks of electricity which home in on the targets for about 30 meters. Once one of the disks hits a target it will leave them not only moderately burned, but paralyzed for a few seconds as well.

All things considered Asahi was surprised that Zakku had taken that attack head on and seeing the blue haired chunin get tossed around was admittedly kinda funny. "Futon is one of the natures that make up Shakuton, so it just kind of comes naturally I guess." The chunin replied with a shrug. He had spent a good amount of time training with a second chakra nature in his time as a chunin so it wasn't like he could magically release gusts of wind one day, but through his studies and teachings from those in his clan Asahi found out that it was easier to learn another elemental release if it was one of the building blocks for a kekkei genkai, so that's what he did. In time he hoped to also harness katon chakra as well but that was way down the line.

It wouldn't take much time at all for Zakku to get back on his feet and throwing more jutsu at him, this time in the form of multiple raiton disks aimed at him. They were speedy and numerous which was tough to deal with and the boy couldn't think of anything in his arsenal that would work to block them so trying to dodge was his next best course of action. He'd take off to his left hoping to avoid the attack but a couple caught his leg causing him to fall to the ground in a heap. Getting up proved impossible as his leg was completely numb and to make matters worse there was a Zakku closing in on him. "Shit shit shit."

Asahi had to think fast. He was in no position to run and trying to fend off attacks with a bum leg wasn't going to work out particularly well so he had to buy some time. As his opponent neared Asahi would perform a set of three seals before throwing both hands on the ground, an intricate seal appearing beneath him and expanding out ten meters that he hoped would catch Zakku in his tracks. It would only stop his feet from moving but even a moment of reprieve to get the feeling back in his leg was better than nothing.

DESCRIPTION:
After three hand-seals, the user will slap both hands on the ground and summon an intricate spherical seal on the ground, ten meters in diameter, with the user at the epicenter. Anyone or anything standing on the ground within ten meters is then sealed to the ground itself, locking their feet in place. They will be stuck in place until the seal is broken, which can be achieved by destroying the ground it is summoned on. People who were not inside the range can move over the surface of the seal once it's been summoned without any issue.

Charging in the 2nd Zakku smiled holding out raiton charged fingertips.  Smiling and no longer hiding his joy.  He'd never thought he could actually land a hit on the kages bodyguard.  His pride in his achievement driving him to move faster.  Then he stopped dead in his tracks.  Staring confused he looked down and saw his legs stuck in the trap.  "Oh kami dammit..."  The clone let out disheartened.  

The original smirked and began to bounce on his feet.  Giving time for Asahi to regain feeling in his legs Zakku refused to stop his momentum.  "I gotta admit.  This is the most fun I've had from training since I was a genin."  While training with Ayukawa was its own fun there was a different challenge he got from Asahi.  He was the Kages bodyguard and that meant he was one of the best they had to offer and that this even more exciting.  Wiggling his hands as he bounced the blue haired chunin called his clone back.  With a puff of smoke the chakra returned and Zakku stopped bouncing.  Reaching into his pack Zakku pulled out a smoke bomb.

"Gonna have to think outside the box now."  Rolling the bomb between his fingers he kept thinking.  His green eyes focused on Asahi.  'He's got an answer for everything.'  Getting into his runners stance Zakku gripped the smoke bomb tightly.  Digging his feet into the sand he braced in anticipation.  "READY!?!"  Zakku called out to his training partner as he broke the smoke bomb covering himself in a thick dark cloud.  "GO!"  Bursting out of the cloud Zakku held the smoke bomb in his hand still spewing its contents.  Instead of running towards Asahi Zakku darted irratically around spreading the smoke as far as he could across the training grounds.  His palm burned from the smoke but he could ignore it just a bit longer till he'd have to release it.  He just had to keep running. 

He knew Asahi would be able to easily track him.  It was a skill Zakku was very jealous off.  The blue haired Shinobi wanted his partner to follow his movements so when he rushed him and threw the remains of the smoke bomb he could finally tag him with the tickling touch technique like he'd been trying since the beginning.

The seal had thankfully formed in time halting the Zakku in his tracks though as it poofed from existence the answer of which of the two was the clone was immediately answered. While the original would have been preferred Asahi was happy that he had been able to stop an attack nonetheless. "Yeah, trying to keep up with your speed is a hell of a challenge, but I'm enjoying it." The chunin would respond to the blue haired youth. He couldn't think of anyone naturally faster than Zakku which made him the perfect opponent when needing to improve upon his own quickness with getting techniques off. Fuinjutsu was notoriously slow to set up often due to the precision required when creating and setting seals but if Asahi could manage to maintain his precision while increasing the rate at which he could create seals then he'd be better for it.

The momentary respite allowed enough time to pass for the effects of the jutsu to wear off and the feeling to return to the Kyokujitsu's leg. Getting back to his feet the boy would give a couple test shakes to make sure everything was in working order as he turned his attention to Zakku once more. There was a good bit of distance between them but it was something the boy could close easily so he was by no means in the clear. What came next, however, could only be described as a Zakkuism. Engulfing himself in a smoke bomb the boy would begin to sprint around the training ground trailing smoke everywhere but not once coming straight at Asahi. The chunin could feel that there was only one person in the smoke so there wasn't a clone hiding elsewhere but even though he couldn't see Zakku it was still easy to figure out where he was by simply following the head of smoke, that was, until he began to cross lines.

Eventually the blue haired youth would turn his gaze towards him and Asahi could sense the boy getting closer with every passing moment. What was he planning? There was a bit of subterfuge but it was still pretty straightforward all things considered. No matter, if he desired an up close fight then Asahi would oblige. His skills were average in taijutsu so just throwing hands at each other wasn't in Asahi's best interest but there was something else he could try. Performing two quick seals the kanji for 'wine' would appear on the boy's right hand and as Zakku emerged from the now dropped smoke bomb, hands buzzing with raiton, Asahi too would thrust his hand forward aiming to land a hit on the boy as he could feel an odd, tickling sensation begin to course through his body.

NAME: Itsuwarī Fūin [Deceitful Wine Seal]

DESCRIPTION:
After performing the "Dragon" and "Tiger" handseals the kanji for sake [酒] will appear on the hand of the user. The user will then tap the forehead of their target and the target's vision becomes blurry, much like a drunk person. This causes confusion and instability on the enemy, making it easier to defeat or escape from them. After two posts the seal wears off and the inflicted targets begin to vomit.

Charging In with his finger tips glowing blue Zakku couldn't help but smile.  He was finally gonna score a hit.  This was going to be his bragging point for the next three months,  Or until he finds something new to brag about.  Reaching out with his glowing fingertips he'd reach for Asahis sides.  "ZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAP!"  The Blue haired Chunin called out reaching only noticing until he was mid step.  'Drunk'  What was a typical insult to Zakku had a much different effect as he felt the seal slap onto his head.  "Oh..."

Zakku existed High.  He smoked his home grown herbs and had been selling it to the underworld since he could remember.  Drinking wasn't his thing but that didn't mean he didn't partake when others busted out the Sake.  He'd gotten his team kicked out of the chunin exams because he'd stolen his sensei's sake and tagged the arena the night before the exams.  His natural High being quickly replaced with a drunkeness was a change he could never prepare for.


The ol (hic) ways
Moving like he'd just discovered how to walk Zakku stumbled away from Asahi shaking his head as if he could shake out the drunken fog on his mind.  "He-heeeeeeyyyy..."  holding himself steady he tried to keep his balance against earths unrelenting movement.  "Das Cheeatin.  HEY!  The jokesh on chu though."  Zakku moved his feet apart and assumed the Drunken Fighters stance.  "I-...I watched Nezumi fight this way plenty of times.  How hard can it be? FIGHT!"  Swinging out and missing the one of three Asahis he saw Zakku spun himself around and down to the ground with a thud.  "Ok.  You win.  I say Uncle but show me how to do this I can make bigo moneyos on this shit."  Letting out a giggle he spread his arms out holding himself against the earths rotation.

The two had connected on their respective hits at the same time and though it was not a laughing matter an uncomfortable chortle forcibly escaped the Kyokujitsu as the tickling sensation coursed through him. He was about as ticklish as the average person but it was a bit disorienting experiencing a complete shift in what was a serious training session. The usefulness of such a technique was not lost on him and it definitely had potential to trip someone up if they weren't careful, Asahi was only lucky that his seal had hit its mark otherwise he would have been in trouble.

The stumbling and bumbling blue haired youth was quite a sight to behold. Elevated Zakku he had seen before and how the boy was able to function with all that stuff coursing through his system was still a wonder to him, but drunk Zakku was a different beast and given his chaotic state of being Asahi nearly believed him when he said he could fight in that state. Fortunately the drunken state proved too powerful sending Zakku to meet the earth thus ending their spar. A deep sigh of relief escaped Asahi as he worked to a seated position. "I definitely can, but probably in a bit because you're gonna get sick in a couple minutes." The chunin replied trying to prepare Zakku for what was to come next.

All in all he was glad that the seal actually worked this time around as the last time it had done little more than piss off the two-tailed. Maybe it had worked but those next few moments were little more than a flurry of destruction and the match didn't last long enough for him to find out. "I really appreciate you helping me out. Practicing with fuinjutsu is a little tricky outside of drawing seals over and over. Felt good to get some live practice in." Asahi added. He could feel himself getting ever closer to that next step in his shinobi career and this would go a long ways towards that goal.
