Evil Doesn't Die; It Changes Shape.

She remembered putting on the teal colored bandana. A small black outfit aside a dark-colored suit and a white colored blouse. The pompous and arrogant young boy and the more mature, composed young woman, aside the stoic girl wearing a gi. That wasn't the first but certainly the biggest introduction to underground drug peddling. An introduction to much more organized crime, while her first of bandits was with the accompaniment of a young, green hoodied-sage. Both introductions were the first of many threats both outside and within the village. This lead to many of those nuisances and misfortunes being dealt with the teal, bandana-wearing girl. Most were dealt with a violent touch, there were sometimes where the teal bandana didn't serve as a warning against those it crossed paths with.

The pink skull on it became an implicit scenario of death, but that gave way and feel as more foreign matters were tended to. The reports of activity only increased and others were sent where the pink beret wasn't. Time gave way and as she investigated the roots of the Great Tree, it was the only time that the young contrasting-colored girl encountered symbols implicit of a new threat, one that left as quickly as it vanished. But, unlike sticking to her instinct and finding these agents, the threat festered and grew beyond her view and now it was on the village's radar. Reports of cultic-like behavior, runic symbols that have no identifying meaning, and loss of life from either no explicable cause or left with identifying trademarks. The randomized location these reports came from were numerous and discerning them was quite difficult, a large portion of the reports came from the south-eastern tip of Bonchi no Kuni, near the alost border town alongside Nohara no Kuni. Forces that could be distributed were thin but that one young girl who boldly met crime with unspeakable horror is now going to bring a more physical evil to these heretics. If they wanted something to believe in, it should have been the Dragon-king Ryū. Now, they are to be judged by the atrocity, known as Mikatakujira Kunikunosaku, the feared Hāto shinigami, the reincarnation of a force too dangerous to be dealt with by a mortal hand. Yet, even with all of her esteemed capabilities, she was still instructed to wait. She was to help teach an already grounded Genin to be a true warrior of Takigakure.

At the village gates, the white-haired reaper awaited, arms crossed as she leaned on the last bit of a wall the village had to guard the people it contained. Kunikunosaku remained in her position, ever unmoving, sightly unchilling. The embodiment of evil that almost brought about an international tragedy was now about to bring one to those who are clearly unholy.

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Medical Knowledge:

Being from Takigakure's prestigious clan medical clan, Kunikunosaku is also set to learn the human anatomy, biology, and Kinesthetics, While this knowledge DOES NOT give her access to Medical Ninjutsu Techniques, however, the knowledge does unlock abilities of precision to the human body with every attack. This knowledge grants field combat medic aid but nowhere near the degree of those actually trained in it.

Hideo’s mouth opened into a gaping yawn, his sluggish eyes rolling upward. He didn’t bother to cover his mouth. In fact, his arm slipped right past it to ruffle the black hairs on his head that seemed to stick awkwardly. He fluffed them down, removing the remaining bedhead from view. Blue eyes were clearly uninterested in the day before him. It was just another mission. They had never been the same since his early Genin years, and even then it seemed like the good memories had been few and far between. The truth was since Kuni had passed and he was left behind, he had little interest in furthering his career as a Shinobi. He felt defeated if anything.

The teammates he’d had never really panned out. Hideo wasn’t exactly the easiest person to get along with. Even when he wasn’t trying to make enemies, he somehow found them. Maybe it was the face. He rubbed his chin, but the skin was numb and only a subtle pressure could be felt. A low gruff hum escaped his adam’s apple.

His eyes lifted forward as he arrived at the gates of Bonchi no Kuni where he was told to meet with Special Jounin from the village in order to complete a mission. Outside of that, he wasn’t really given much information. Upon seeing a familiar silhouette with unmistakable white hair, his breath stopped. "Hmmmm?” He stepped forward, holding his voice in feigned disinterest. "So, it’s you then, huh, shrimp?” He stopped just in front of her, comparing her height to his own. "Damn. Went and got tall on me, huh? That's all I had going for me” He cocked his head. What was she now? 5’5”? 5’6”?

"Taki must be hurting to send the likes of us two troublemakers out again,” he laughed awkwardly, unsure of what else to really say. It’d been so long…

Evil Doesn't Die; It Changes Shape.

It wasn't the fact that Kunikunosaku was oblivious, more so, she was trying to wrap her head around the mission detail and the fact she was to watch a Genin rather than a Chūnin. It grew apparent to her that this Genin was probably an advanced one. Probably and most likely, considering the norm was C ranks being handed out to those very shinobi. Kunikunosaku herself wasn't very worried about their well-being, if the village deemed them worthy, that was that. Worrying about technicalities wasn't really her thing anyways since she never had to worry about it. A case in point was her frequent flooding of an area to drown others while she just chilled at the bottom. It was a minor inconvenience to now worry about someone other than herself but she guessed it was partially a way to take more care on the mission.

What she didn't expect was a rather large Genin, some she was sure could have served better as a Chūnin, even a Special Jōnin, such as herself. But as the figure approached more and more, a memory spark hit her like a lightbulb. "Hi-... Hideo?" Hr surprise was stricken when he called her 'Shrimp'. Her detest of being called that was quickly changed to a smile when he remarked her growth, it still was nowhere near his size, but, it was a step in the right direction. "Nice to see you too, missed ya', big guy." Kuni stated, moving up from the wall, giving him a light hug before pulling back. "All I'm allowed to say is we're a bit spread thin." The girl stated, it was obvious to her they lacked numbers, just not enough people ranking up nor proving of great use. Just means more of their spread forces were stronger and more talented than the rest.

She nodded her head to the gate, "Come on, we have a long way to go." Far South-West, practically the border between Nohara no Kuni and Bonchi no Kuni. The danger of being so close to an enemy nation is the strongest reason why she was probably along with Hideo, that or the village to rank compare Hideo to his strongest former teammate, give him a reason to strive for greatness. Whatever the reason, at least part of Team Three was back together again and that brought a smile to the Kunoichi's face. Once Hideo seemed like he was ready, she moved with the pace he would set.

After all, it would be highly unfair if they moved at her pace.

Further away in Bonchi no Kuni and much to the aid of Shinobi unknown to him, a sword slid out of someone's body, slick with blood. The noise of drips. The room was a disaster. The once-pristine tatami mats were torn and bloodstained, and the windows had been shattered by the force of the fighting. The walls were marked by swords; from one side, blown open. "Does this belong to someone?" This sword wasn't his own. He had called out to the ether, because nothing responded back to him.

His search had turned up pointless effort, he had found a few dredges of cultists, just as information tended to give - not from him, or his own village but from the Brain. Someone greater than he, and he was just carrying out its will. Kusagakure and Takigakure were relatively closer in terms of geography, but it was also an enemy land. He supposed he could appeal to anybody who turned up, if they turned up. Provided he found his mark long before they joined him.

He dropped the sword on the floor, it would clatter and spill out; creating a light blood spatter further around the area itself. A chilled, cool breath out as he focused his breathing. What else was there to find? He began to look around, using a single hand to rummage toward a cabinet, looking for documents. Pulling one out - his eyes glancing over it. Nothing.

Just as these useless fools had been as well.

But he was stuck on this journey one way or another. He would sheath his own things, pulling a Kunai out of the harder wall, trying to find a second kunai that had went through one of the paper doors. Akira began to leave, out of the door: but then heard a groan escaping.

The door had almost closed behind him. And, for a few seconds - it wouldn't have seemed as though anything was out of the ordinary. But, the creeping whispers of dark flooded in as the door opened, and he was stood there, a light smile on his face. "Before your mortal coil expires, you should prepare yourself...whatever god it is you thought would protect you..." The door shut behind him.

"...Doesn't protect you from me."

I'll stop posting for a few rounds and let ya'll catch up, so we can then meet up later on in the thread. Ciao~

He wouldn't question the decision for grouping him with Kuni once again. He'd missed her, and that in itself was enough to force him to accept their reason, whatever it was. Her hug took him aback, but he embraced it, though awkwardly for only half a second before plunging into it. It felt right, despite their time apart. She was straight to business, as usual, though much less aggressive in her approach.

Thank God.

Hideo looked at her fondly. She'd grown in more ways than one. Admittedly, so had he. As always though, she was still quick and to the point to get things going. He'd nod, double-checking the quantities in his arsenal before heading off with his teammate. He managed to keep his speed only a bit behind Kuni. She was fast, though Hideo seemed to be fairing alright considering he didn't primarily practice in Taijutsu. He's managed to grow more into his tall figure over the years, and perhaps that had quite a bit to do with it, or perhaps he's just become stronger overall. Kuni was small and lithe in her own way. She would always take advantage there.

Regardless, he would make way with his long-time friend to their designated location, conserving his energy between spurts for the assumed battles ahead. He didn't seem at all worn when they arrived. He crouched behind the foilage, an open road at the other side where visible tracks of carts and footprints resided. Broken limbs and scattered debris gave hints that people traveled frequently through the bushes and off the trail. He looked to Kuni. "They're not very good at covering their tracks..." he paused, noting a symbol etched into the trunk of a nearby tree. "Unless they're wanting someone to find it," he shrugged. "Makes our job easier." Another look to Kuni. "You think they're using this to draw in nearby travelers?" Truth was, they were a bit away from Bonchi's typical guarding routes. For a Shinobi to travel this far it would have only been for a mission. For a small group of bandits, it may have been outside of their logic to even consider. A typical guard wouldn't be able to tank on a group of bandits, but two shinobi had more than enough of a chance.

Evil Doesn't Die; It Changes Shape.

Teavelling even to the mission direction was enough to trigger a memory lapse. It wasn't an official mission, but a far more personal one. Kuni and Hideo, on a mission to find the perfect gift for his mother. As ridiculous as it sounded, it was quite challenging, mainly working off of his recollection and her... not-so-feminine tastes. Running all over the village was an amusing thought, but now, they weren't in the village nor looking for a gift. But, they were together again, and that was enough to bring her some joy.

"Come on, it's just this way."
"There is no destination to learn the Truth, why are we rushing?"
"Do you want to get seen, old-man? The fact what you guys' do is messy but... I want to find it."
"You are just scared of the unknown and that is the oldest and strongest fear, if you trust me, I can help you."
A set of hushed dialogue between the two conversationalists. The younger-looking man raised a hand and clenched it in a fist. A grunt from a third as the man dug a knife into a tree bark, drawing the religious symbol seen over and over again.
"Where is this 'Truth', then?"
The grey haired man chuckled, "Let's keep moving and you will find out."

Upon arriving at the location point, Kuni and Hideo were both quick to move quietly. She looked at what Hideo was talking about. "I don't think they are trying to." The Mikatakujira whispered as she set her eyes upon the symbol. Kunikunosau thought hard on this route, trying to deduce the nearest civilian path and the nearest shinobi patrol. The girl blinked upon standing up, making light steps as she tried to analyze things as Hideo spoke. Hideo tossed a coin of an idea, that maybe they were trying to lure people. Something that drew Kuni herself closer to observe.

"I seen this symbol around the Great Tree, I don't think they are trying to lure people in. Hideo-kun, do these tracks look like they are following an organized path?" She questioned, touching the symbol on the bark, minor flashbacks of the hooded figures that ambushed her. "No one goes through here... this is a calling card... Follow the tracks and be on guard, I'll be behind you, I don't like what these symbols mean." Kuni turned her head over to Hideo and nodded, gesturing him to start his tracking. Despite her having experience tracking Nuke-nin, this was a chance for Hideo to show his skill was growing.

Followers of Truth?... Truth... Yeah, no. This isn't a trap. A thought, but what is her thought process, maybe she was leading them blindly to one.

He shrugged underneath furrowed eyes as his thumb and pointer wrapped around his scarred chin. "Not sure. I’ve learned to treat everything like a trap at this point though,” he admitted that he wasn’t the best tracker and it was truly best for him to be ready for the worst that could potentially come their way. He lifted from his position, "I’ll take your word for it. If they’re not luring, then they’re mad … and that makes them even more dangerous,” he said crossing his arms over his chest. "Anyone mad enough to simply not care about giving their position away like this has a few screws loose…always have found those people to be the worst enemy you can have.” The young male shook his head before rubbing the back of his neck and rolling it, crackling his neck effortlessly.

"Sure thing, Kuni-kun, let’s not wait around then.” He removed a kunai from his pouch and readied it as instructed. He wasn’t the best in hand-to-hand, but having something ready seemed smart enough considering they were completely surrounded in unfamiliar territory and both their enemy’s abilities, whereabouts, and numbers were a complete mystery.

He took the hint from his friend and followed the trails left behind by their enemies. They were sporadic and seemingly unorganized. As he would continue onward, it was becoming more and more clear that they truly didn’t have any intention of trying to cover the tracks, but they weren’t trying to lure either. There was no pattern to their markings that he could see, and he’d looked at every angle he could come up with.

They were just…mad.

The two ninja would continue onward for some moment until Hideo would kneel quickly, dipping two hands into the earth where it seemed looser. He noted the shape before blue eyes wandered from side to side. "There seem to be three traveling together.” He assessed the marks more, taking note of their size and stride. "One of them is in a hurry…his strides are long and dipped more at the ball of the foot…but they’re not large prints, so it’s not that he’s simply tall.” He looked to Kuni for her opinion, knowing very well she had more experience.

He smirked. "I think we could take on three by ourselves should it come to it, but let’s keep low and see if we can follow them until we find out their hideout.”

Taking everything as a trap had some benefits, meant he was always on the ready. However, she had to wonder if that mentality hindered other aspects of his life. Kuni noted his way of thinking and it was rather useful with these people if her deduction was correct. If. His added note of them not luring and in regards to how dangerous they are with their psychic profile made Kunikunosaku nod. Kuni could feel the threads in her arm separating as a pink dagger, Ikari, was pulled out. Once Hide took the hint, he said something that kickstarted her memories. For the longest time, Kuni-kun was something used in romantic settings and close personal bonds. The girl bit her lip, wondering if Hideo saw her as a mission teammate, or something much, much deeper. She bit her lip in thought, and reminded herself mentally this was a mission. It was Sugita who was the apple of her eye, yet... even she thought that Hideo treated her better than Wasu... That he never got a fair chance... She shook her head as she refocused as much as possible on the mission.

Kuni continued to follow Hideo, focusing as much as possible on their surroundings. Maybe someone may trip up Jiongu's appetite. As she saw Hideo duck low, she did as well, hoping that his tracking skills were up to snuff. Hunting nukenin and patrolling the village all the damn time honed her capabilities but it also made her sort of apprehensive on using it a lot. She wasn't a tracker nin, but she might as well be. He deducted a trio, one was in far more of a hurry than the other two and the Kunoichi nodded in silence. "Affirmative." The Kunoichi stated, not seeing a flaw in the plan. But that was that, a plan. Predictable against unseemingly predictable opponents. Still, the girl remained rather calm as she let Hideo be the tracker here.

"You say something?" "No, nothing at all." The two youthful-like individuals spoke amongst themselves as they tured to look at the gray-haired man, watching as his eyes shone a bit more intense. "We should maybe start heading more to the south west..." "Didn't you say-" "I know what I said... well get closer to the Truth... but we must hurry." "Finally! Let's go!" The trio started to hurry to the direction, following the eldest of the group.

He had been and come to the building he'd been in - just a few hours ago he'd been nowhere and now he was in the middle of a hideout. By hideout, it was more 'congregation of degenerates' - heretics, in a soup kitchen. It was almost worse, using charity as the need to spread one's seeds throughout the land.

Still - it was closed and civilians weren't currently in the building... well. Civilians that weren't making use of the proselyting. Sozin had closed the doors behind him, and went through the secondary set of doors where he was greeted - "Are you here for food? You don't look hungry." there was curiousness in their voice. "No, no, I'm just trying to find the way?" Sozin inquired innocently. "Well, if we have a seat.. I'm sure we can have a chat? Go on through."

Predators. They were predators: predating on the hungry and the ill. The weak and feeble. A brilliant idea- but not as a conduit to whatever seeds of heresy they were planting here. There were much more... supple thoughts and ideologies of peace that would suit this place better. This place would be under new management soon.

Some time later...

Had the person who greeted him escaped? All of them had been... low levelled. Uninteresting - and he heard noises still being made throughout the kitchen, and was using his knife to scrape at the metal which created a guttural, ear splitting screech as he ran it across it - and it prompted someone to try and break free from their position in the under-cabinet pots and pans storage.

What a poor idea: in truth, Sozin would not have looked there. But - it meant he would be now. He went through the rest of them after having delivered death in all its swiftness, and found... none other than the greeter, hiding away. "Hello there." Sozin's eyes were gleaming, as was his grin as he pulled the person from their position. "That was a lovely conversation... I thought I'd just try to catch up with you, you know?" Sozin was speaking sweetly as he slowly pushed a knife into the person amidst their screams.

They weren't giving him a location. "Just tell me... or you'll succumb to this world's injuries..." and this would carry on for a time. Until - finally, in their injured state, they broke free of their chains.

"You just don't know the truth."

"What did you say?" Sozin's interests were peaked as he stopped the sword shy of their throat. There was no response. "I want the truth..." This was just a lackey. "You can find it... going north an-" a bubble caught in their throat and they died, gargling away. "Fuck." Sozin was displeased, stabbing the corpse one more time in frustration. Was it a temple? Would he find an enforcer; someone like him?

Sozin would look around: seeing a lot more of the same symbol. It was three times before he made the connection that it could have meant something... so he would follow the signs. Go north, find the symbols... find the religion and gut them out. Even though he wasn't the only person on the task.

He was not far behind - or in front of - two other sets of people.

[attr="class","hideo"]The softness of her lip being bit made Hideo’s eyes furrow briefly, a thought he let go of as the onward pull of the mission jerked him forward. Did he say something to make her feel uncomfortable, or did he simply misread it? They’d been through enough both as a team and as individuals, and if anything he could relate to the monster within that they both seemed to be to the worlds around them. If there was anyone who understood Hideo it was her, but that was for another time…perhaps another life.

The young man led the way, his teal eyes keeping careful track of the surrounding area and the young woman behind him. For some time they crept onward, following the tracks strewn about by the three heretics until a small building came into view just amidst the overgrown groves of the forest. Hideo crouched lower, his hand lifting upward as if to gesture for Kuni to halt as well.

Teal eyes carefully surveyed the hideout, though it seemed to be barely occupied. A pleasant aroma filled the air, causing Hideo’s thoughts to stir. "Food?” He looked to Kuni as if questioning whether or not she could smell it as well. Small smokestacks lifted upward, but not enough to escape the trees and signal shinobi above, but they carried with them a kind smell to the stomachs and hearts of the weary and lost that might stumble through the forest and into their midst. Was this on purpose as well, he wondered?

A loud sound distracted Hideo, the sound of metal screeching loudly in one of the buildings. Hideo gripped the kunai in his hand more firmly than it had before. He gritted his teeth, something was going on inside. He could hear the sounds of groans and bodies falling or flailing, perhaps some sort of struggle. Hideo couldn’t stand it longer, and jolted forward, carefully entering the compound where blood dripped here and there from sliced bodies.

His eyes lifted to see that of a male, standing with a sword at another’s throat. He stared in horror, watching as the man stabbed the corpse once again as it said its final words. Symbols filled the room just as much as there were blood and battered bodies. The smell of iron made him sick. He was just a Genin…he’d not seen death at this degree. It was putrid and …real.

The kunai shook his hands and he would have no words to say, only praying that Kuni wasn't too far behind him as well. Just who was this guy... and how ...or why...did he kill...everyone...

Evil Doesn't Die; It Changes Shape.

She kept up with Hideo, looking out for signs in the foliage of Bonchi no Kuni, watching in the event he missed something. The kunoichi was trying hard not to commander the search, she wanted her teammate and her friend to grow. Kunikunosaku wasn't the type to just disregard her teammates. With the fact she could survive most things without any regard for safety made her almost hyper aware of the capabilities in her teammates. The genin came into sight of a new development and made signals that the Mikatakujira understand as hold and lay low. He examined the area and brought up possibility of food. Kuni made a cant of her head, unaware if he found something or if he was asking if the should get some.

The Special Jōnin waffed and smelled the air, then it became clear to her. As she focused her senses, she heard the noises of metal hitting metal, of bodies dropping and being thrown. She looked around the outside if she can see anything reminiscent to a trap. She caught Hideo jolting forward with a tightened grip on his Kunai but she didn't call out for him to wait. she simply stood as her eyes glued on the building. She jumped to the trees above and stealthily sped to the building as she brought up the knife she had to hold in her mouth as she weaved seals. Stopping on the opposite side of the building, she saw a door partial cracked open. The Kunoichi narrowed her eyes as she finished the set, and the black tendrils ripped out of her like angry vipers.

As she made her way in, an atmosphere of dread grew from her like the pressure akin to her Lord. It only took her to reach the same but opposite side of the room. She looked around unimpressed as her eyes met with Hideo's teal and the brown dressed hag. "I don't even need to see your headband to know you're not a Takigakure shinobi, we aren't this messy... minus me but still. Give me a good reason I shouldn't kill you for trespasing, murder of Bonchi no Kuni denizens and being a risk to my teammate over there." The girl stated, her tone flat but the words carried had a hint of cold malevolencee one wouldn't find in most shinobi.

"Damn it."
"What's up, Spectacles." "Our Lord wants you to know the truth now." "Uh, what does that mean?" The trio discussed as they stopped in their tracks. "I apologize... we must run north, but I will give you the truth now." The blonde tilted his head, "Speak, tell us everything." The white haired man just smiled and the color seemingly drained from his eyes, a black fog fell from him. And then the screaming started.

Kunikunosaku narrowed her eyes as anger slowly grew on her face. "Hideo, hold... the mission did not include this variable, let me handle this." Kunikunosaku stated as more of the black threads exploded. She steadily walked closer to the man. "You look dashing, don't make me say it again or you'll look like the mess you made." Her voice bled from a monotone to one of more animalistic anger, how she moved; it was like a predator cornering its prey.

His fun was interrupted.

Sozin sighed, but put his dagger away in one hand and dropping the sword with the other. It was a show of friendliness, but it wasn't like he was incapable of putting it back in his hand. This complicated things, because to begin with he thought they'd also been followers: but their actions indicated otherwise.

Her reaction, was probably fair, warranted...

It had been a poor imitation of Lord Ryu's: of malevolence like the Gobi's and insignificant in comparison to his God. He could feel it tenseness, yes: but unlike prey, he did not move backward as Prey did when being cornered, instead still and watching.

And, in return fire, as it had been directed unto him would return the favour.

"And what do I get for you being a risk to me?" he unhelpfully, un-cleverly retorted.

She was absolutely curious because the way her body flailed her vaguely reminded her of something else but it was hard to come by - the knowledge was just there but it was just out of reach. He had seen something like it before and in the context of Bonchi no Kuni was taunting him with how he couldn't remember. She certainly didn't look like anybody he remembered.

But, he

theme

For Hideo's poor sake, the killing intent directed at Akira by Kunikunosaku was amplified. His own feelings, exemplified: all of the feelings in the room were being given proximity to his Lord and they should have been thankful for his divine intervention: they got to experience the true God. And whether they wanted to or not, it would affect them in some way. Hideo might've received training, but seeing the frank and physical gore of internal items external to the bodies, may have been too much for him. For the other two seasoned killers, they had long since grown numb to the horrors and sights.

The dark whispers were just that: pure dread, like fleeting whispers at the corners of one's mind, and coldness as though the window keeping the winter at bay was left wide open. Most importantly, whatever emotions they felt... fear. Rage. Malevolance: directed spite and aggression, would be multiplicated by a factor. It wasn't necessarily stronger than Kunikunosaku's feelings: but an accompaniment several times richer to help her along in her feelings.

In fact, Sozin stepped forward and used his free hand to pull attention to the headband - wiping away blood that had come about it in , though it filled within the crevices of the metal: smeared across: and it was Kusagakure's sigil. It was slow: deliberate as to not arouse a fight unless fear took over rationality. The veins that slread across her kwn body were clearly a weapon. He didn't fancy being turned into pin cushion, but the time it took them was opportunity for him to watch. He shifted on to one leg, which may have appeared as off balance but it was for a particular purpose.

"I'm here, I think, for the same reasons you are." Was he sure of that? Absolutely not. For what it could have been worth, he had just murderer innocents in a place where its poorest came to feed. "Heretics: disgusting, nebulous brain washing of innocent civilians. I've done you a favour." however Akira didn't want them intervening- so the knowledge about his direction or the symbols would remain unspoken. He wanted to get there himself and help put an end to the spillage of faith plaguing his own land.

He hoped that was why they were there: because if he wasn't, this was about to turn a bit more poorly.
