For all that she was quick at making handseals, Itsuki had always secretly considered Miroru's style of forming them to be a bit clunky, and watching this jutsu's seals be formed really emphasised that. She'd get better at them, he was sure, but right now it did look a bit awkward.

Of course, that thought was promptly blown out of his head as he stared at a spot adjacent to the burning ball of lightning that was suddenly formed in her hands. He couldn't look directly at the dang thing, it was too bright. Between that and the high pitched noise of the dang thing, Itsuki was suddenly a lot more intimidated by his friends new technique.

And then she moved.

Itsuki's eyes didn't really track the sudden burst of speed, it was more his sensory ability that detected the build up of power moments before the girl launched herself forward. The young Yamanaka would barely register the movement, his initial 'oh crumbs' lost in the whirlwind of thought that had him hurl himself gracelessly to the side as Miroru passed him by, the boy rolling across the dirt and coming to his feet with a shocked expression on his face as he turned to look at Miroru, not quite sure what had just happened.

"What... the... heck?" he asked, not even dusting himself off as he stared at the Uchiha.

It was a lot easier to track her movement after the fact. Mostly because that ravenous ball of pure lightning had left a furrow behind, the sheer radiant chakra leaking off of it pulverizing the dry earth underneath it as it passed.

As for Miroru herself, she was waving her hand frantically, the chakra released and her hand, literally, smoking, her skin flaking off as if from a bad sunburn, steaming from a combination of sheer heat damage and a certain someone's propensity to repair its host. "OwItoldyouOwitwasfastOw!" She rattled off, blowing on her hand a little bit as it stopped steaming slowly. "It's... uh... under development. Like I said, it's super fast, but hard to sense anything enough to react to it while it's in use. Basically... if I can get enough of an opening without their attention to ACTIVATE it, I can almost certainly land a hit, but if they're onto me, it's like broadcasting "hey I'm about to charge straight at you without deviation." Not a smart move against any opponent worth using the technique against."

She moved over and offered Itsuki her hand, grinning rakishly. "But pretty solid once it goes off, innit~?"

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

The Yamanaka could only stare at the damage left behind by Miroru's technique, first the massive furrow left in the ground but then the injury it had done to her hand as well. Sure, she was healing right in front of his eyes, but it clearly had hurt quite a bit and wasn't exactly the safest jutsu for the user as well. 

"Definitely seems a work in progress if you're hurting yourself with it," he replied, brushing himself off as he considered what had just happened, "I think if you manage to get famous enough for it though, that sound alone will be enough to get people to think twice." He didn't have a lot of experience with Raiton techniques, but something about the way that jutsu had started off chirping and then screamed as she moved with it was rather terrifying.

Taking the girl's hand, he shook his head slightly as he stood up, a slight sigh of exasperation emerging from his lips as he examined the ground again. "Trust you Mi-chi, to come up with somethin' like this. It'll be very scary once you get it sorted." With that said, he got himself to a good distance away from the girl and began to toss one of the rocks in the air casually.

"Alrighty, let's go again~"

"Heeeeesh..." Miroru shook her hand a bit more as the vapor started to slow. "Pshaw. There's lotsa jutsu that pushes the body past its limits. Just because this one uses more Raiton than is strictly safe doesn't make it not a great technique!" She pantomimed a normal strike with the jutsu, pivoting to thrust her hand out. "Pow! Zap! Sizzle! Instant win button, activate!"

Straightening, she grinned at Itsuki, and puffed up a bit at the idea of being famous! "Yeah! Maybe I can be famous enough on my own that folx'll be like "there goes the lady that made the Zap Fist! Or... something, the name's under development, too..."

Clearing her throat, Miroru hopped on her toes a couple times, looking to Itsuki as he palmed a rock. "Okay. I'll do it again, and you gimme something to dodge en route without getting shoulder checked yourself. Okay?"

Seals flashed out, a little quicker than before, practice paying off a touch- and then that crackling chirp sounded again as chakra condensed to visible levels before the redhead launched herself forward, knowing the rock was coming and trying to actually see it in time to evade!

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

Giving Miroru the sort of raised eyebrow that indicated disbelief, Itsuki shook his head at his friend. "I didn't say it wasn't a good technique, I said it was pretty clearly a work in progress Mi-chi. You can do better than what you have right now." His words were nothing but shamelessly honest. In his mind, there was no way that Miroru couldn't manage to make this jutsu into something both combat useful and completely terrifying. 

And then maybe she'd teach him.

Readying himself for her attack, Itsuki prepped the rock in his hand and felt his body tense, his eyes narrowing and his muscles ready to burst into action. First her handseals, then the chirping, and then.... the moment his mind acknowledged the change from just chirping to the terrifying screech of the jutsu tearing its way through the air, Itsuki was moving. His body threw itself to his right, the rock in his hand whipping out towards Miroru even as he fell on his side and rolled, minimising the momentum of his dodge as she zoomed past him.

The throw was... kinda sad to be honest. It wasn't his best aim, because he was far too busy getting the heck outta the way of the dangerous lightning ball in Miroru's hand. It would still likely zip past her head, but it wouldn't really hit her unless she dodged directly into it.

Dusting himself off, the boy sighed slightly. "Still too fast for me to react right..."

"Yeah, yeah, I hear ya. Maybe if you'd learn a REAL shinobi nature transformation like Raition! I- wait. You know, I don't actually KNOW your nature. What's your nature, you sneaky little brat?!" Miroru cried, insistent!

As Itsuki dove, Miroru's eyes flickered- shone, for just a moment, like a fox's in the darkened forest of evening. Her head twitched, and she lashed out, swinging her hand to smash the rock out of the air! She didn't have time to ALSO correct to try to follow Itsuki, but the rock powdered mid-air in the face of the scything Raiton, leaving her skidding safely to a stop past Itsuki's successful dive clear of her trajectory.

"HEY! That's an improvement for both of us! And yeah, maybe it's still a bit fast to do both at once, but we can keep trying! Or... well, we can try like... once more. It's... kinda exhausting, you know? I got a lotta gas in the tank but this feels like it burns up half the wood pile every time I turn it on." She offered her non-steaming hand to Itsuki to help him up.

"Whaddya say? Get back at it? I can switch to using just Raiippo if I get tired and you're still up for dodge practice!"

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

"I already told you it was wind!" he protested, waving his hand as he gathered up energy to form a blade of wind chakra using Fūton: Kiru, "It's not my fault that you weren't listening!" After having dodged her attack, Itsuki was feeling a little jittery, though the suggestion to continue had him grinning slightly.

"Yeah! Lets keep going. We'll keep it up with this monster of a jutsu of yours while you can, and then switch it up to high speed tag!" he declared. Miroru might have Raippo, but Itsuki had Shunpo, which, while different, was enough to help him keep away or up to her when she was using the high speed taijutsu technique. Taking Miroru's hand, the boy got to his feet and dusted himself off, another stone in his hand ready to throw it at Miroru.

"As much as I wanna learn that thing, with so much chakra, it probably would be a one and done for me.... lucky I kinda am starting to specialise in restraining people for one hit KOs," he stated with a slight shake of his head. As a Yamanaka, a lot of their jutsu tended to be save or suck, but they had to make sure they actually hit to do anything useful. There was a reason they tended to be paired with Akimichi and Nara teammates. 

"Alright, let's go!" he declared, getting into a ready stance once he was a decent distance from the Uchiha. Another attempt to dodge the screaming ball of lightning.... and her jutsu.

"What?! When'd you say such a thing?! And how do YOU know it wasn't your fault I wasn't listening! M-maybe... you.... said it real boring-like! It could totally be your fault!" It wasn't, and they both knew it. This wasn't one of her "actually trying to not be responsible for something" wiggling taunts, it was just a ploy to help herself feel less awful for forgetting.

"Really? I had no idea you were so into tying people up, Itsuki-kun~! I hear you can make a lot of money tying up the right people~!" Miroru teased, before pausing to think. "... you know, that's... actually super deadly. If you could make someone hold still, even just for a second or two... I could totally nail them with this." She shivered a little. She couldn't help but imagine being on the receiving end- forced to watch death rush towards her without reserve.

Time to move on.

"Okay. Once more. Hold onto your butt!"

Miroru performed the long set of seals, and gripped her wrist as the world swam out of focus, darkening except for the path between her and her target. She tried, again, diverting just the tiniest bit of Raiton chakra into her eyes, and again, Itsuki saw that flash of fox-like nightglow as Miroru started her her charge, the world- briefly!- in focus as she blitzed across the distance between them! The real question was what Itsuki planned to do to evade, and to complicate her approach!

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

Itsuki merely raised an eyebrow at Miroru's attempt at deflecting her own forgetfulness, his posture and expression clearly one of disbelief. Unfortunately that expression turned into a heated one as his face began to turn red with his friend's little jab, turning his words against him in a way that had him sputtering.

"Mi-chi! Not like that! Naughty! Hentai! Lewd!" he was playing into her hands, and had he not become so flustered by the insinuation he would have realised it would have been far more effective to pretend to have no idea what she meant and force her to be uncomfortable trying to explain it. Alas, he was still a young Yamanaka, and didn't yet have the level of self-control that would allow him to make such reversals. He was so flustered he didn't even notice his chance to call her out on her phrasing about nailing things.

Taking a moment to gather himself, he nodded a little as his blush began to fade, "yeah.. I have a genjutsu at the moment that will do that... but might be worth looking into a fuuinjutsu as well. Would definitely be useful." 

And then they were back at it again, the boy tense and ready to react, the girl unleashing the screaming jutsu that was actually really scary, and were it being used by someone else he'd probably be pretty intimidated by it. As it was, he watched, waited, and the instant he registered her movement he flung himself to the side, a small spice grenade whizzing out towards the girl as she rushed towards him as he cartwheeled to his left to avoid her terrifyingly fast and loud jutsu.

He'd only just clear it, and end up falling on his butt as he unbalanced from the sheer speed of her charge.

"Ow"

"Ohohohoho~ pure little Itsuki's gotta watch his tone, or his senpai is gonna make him... uh... apologize! With candies!" Miroru threatened without an ounce of sincerity! "You can't just be calling your superior officer a pervert! You're the one who was talking about restraining people so you could blow them away~" Miroru covered her mouth and tittered playfully, very obviously not considering doing any of that in the slightest.

The spice grenade that flew her way made Miroru's eyes flash wide! THAT WOULD SUCK! She DID manage to reach, diving into a slide and recovering up to her feet- only that last part wasn't really so under control, leaving her wobbling and losing balance entirely by the time Itsuki was hurling himself out of the way. In the end, both of them went head over heels, with Miroru upside down in a bush while her hand steamed angrily.

"Ow is right. Oof. Uh... maybe we call it for today..?" She asked as she twisted and squirmed herself upright again, rubbing at her hand while the Old Fox's chakra did its best to shuffle all that injured skin back into proper skintone all over again.

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

"How do you make someone apologise with candies?" he asked in confusion, trying to figure out just what it was that Miroru had tried to express. He completely missed the point she was trying to make, but sue him, he was tired.

In the aftermath of the dodge, Itsuki flopped back onto the ground and let out a deep sigh, partially because he was tired after just those few dodge attempts, partially because he had really hoped he was going to hit Miroru with the spice grenade, cos that woulda been absolutely hilarious to see her reaction.

"Yeah... I think that's enough for now," he decided, spreading out like a starfish in the dirt and grass, staring up at the clouds above them. He was definitely tired, but it was pretty thrilling to have seen his friend's newest Jutsu, no matter how terrifying it was in truth to experience. He kinda wanted to learn to use it himself, just because it seemed like a fun but nasty weapon to have in his arsenal.

"Once I've caught my breath, lets go get something to eat. I'm hungry... I think I want Yakiniku or something... whaddya think?" he asked, unmoving from his spot on the ground. Dodging lightning jutsu was definitely not something to do recreationally...
