Taka was infinitely proud of the defense efforts that Ichi was spearheading. How could he not be? He wasn’t sure about this assignment, though. He’d never been one to question the wisdom of his leadership, for better or worse, and he didn’t doubt that Lady Kouga had her reasons for putting him on this mission. He didn’t mind taking a D-rank, not in the slightest. But was he really the best person to take charge of a genin team? Even if it was temporary? Under Taka’s wing today were three children: Rikuto, Kaida, Kagero. He couldn’t remember their family names off the top of his head; he’d never been good at clan politics and didn’t much care of all of that. Ten’ei was a troubled city. Rebellious, destitute, too close to the southern border. Hardly any shinobi were stationed here with any kind of regularity, so perhaps it was a good thing that they had a full squad to tackle this mission, though Ichi seemed confident that there was no real danger present. Taka waited for his temporary charges at Kusagakure’s southern gate, committing to his pre-mission ritual of inventory management. Making explosive tags, checking his weaponry, drinking his (regular strength!) coffee, and hoping to whatever gods existed that he didn’t irrevocably fuck this up.

[attr="class","lightbluetext"]That morning, when Kaida had received a mission scroll and had read that it had something to do with defense efforts, she had gotten excited. Defense was good, that meant they could get to take down some enemy shinobi or something similar, right? Then she read further and saw it was renovations at some random village and well, that put a damper on things.

She didn’t know anything about this Ten’ei place and didn’t want to repair people’s houses and places of business, or whatever renovations they were expecting her to do. It seemed like there should be, like, a normal person’s job who could do that, they shouldn’t need the military.

But, she digressed, it was a reason to get out of the village, which she was always looking for. Might as well. So, with a bag of cookies in one hand, she made her way to the place she would be meeting up with her teammates and temporary babysitter sensei.

When she turned the corner and saw only the adult man standing there, Kaida’s eyebrows went up in surprise. "Am I the first one?" That wasn’t what she was expecting.

"Hi there," she said to Takato, holding out her bag of cookies. "Cookie?"

Whether he accepted the treat or not, the girl would go and sit on a nearby low wall, swinging her feet. "So what’s this Ten’ei place gonna be like?" she would ask while munching on her snack, while waiting for the other two to show up.

Having once been the host to the Rokubi, Kaida's chakra system was forever changed from the average supply it had once been. While it's not nearly as much as it was with Saiken behind her, Kaida now has a vast well of chakra that she is able to draw upon.

This allows her to her to consistently use the higher-ranked, more powerful, techniques that would exhaust the girl under normal circumstances, if she does choose to do so. Though she had to give up any hopes of using the finite control needed for most medical techniques, she is still determined to find a way around that particular limitation.

『Little Doctor』

With her mother’s profession, Kaida has constantly been surrounded by medics and has always been fascinated by them. She wanted to learn everything about them. She dove into books and annoyed her parents with questions. She learned everything she could about not only Medical Ninjutsu, but conventional medicine as well.

When she lost her chakra control due to being possessed by the Rokubi, Kaida lost her ability to use medical jutsu, but she didn’t lose her knowledge. And thanks to her gumption and near obsessive studying, Kaida is still very proficient in using conventional means to heal people.

She can tend to many types of wounds, varying from minor to severe. The girl is even able to identify several poisons and toxins. He talent means she is capable of treating these maladies, even with her limited resources. Though she can't cure them outright, she can easily stabilize people, if needed, until someone with on-the-spot healing is able to tend to them.

On the darker flipside, Kaida's knowledge of human anatomy allows her to know the best places to strike, giving her an edge by being able to inflict the most damage with the least effort. She tries to utilize this knowledge with her skills so she can end fights quickly and efficiently.

Leaving the village, it was exciting! While he of course had to maintain a more dignified face in public, after all he was a role model now being a genin and all, in the security of him own home the still young boy was bubbling with excitement. As an academy student he hadn't been allowed to leave the village, but now he was not only leaving but going on a mission! His first mission since graduating! Or really his first anything since graduating, he'd been in the academy still only a month ago. Kagero was as fresh as they came genin wise but he was ready! They'd realized that when they made him a genin!

And now he was getting to do a mission in Ten'ei! In truth he didn't know anything about the place, it wasn't one of the places the boys clan had migrated too on their nomadic pilgrimage when they'd left Suna, when his clan had decided to reunite with the traitorous Kazekage of old. And he really did mean old, this had to have happened over fifty years ago now, and the young boy while aware of his families grudge, of their decision to leave the clan in protest and return to their nomadic roots, didn't hold the same anger his grandfather and father did. After all why should something that happened so far away and so long ago effect him? He had been born in Kusagakure, to him these stories were just that. Stories. But they were filled with adventure, and now he could experience it too! It was his turn to travel now!

As the boy left he was wearing his usual attire, garbs reminiscint of his families roots, the boy going shirtless with an open vest and shorts. It was perfect attire for the desert heat. Not so perfect for a more temperate plains lands, but winter had come and gone, and he could finally wear this without fear of its icy touch. And on his back, his second greatest weapon, a puppet of his own making. Unfortunately, his second greatest weapon was also taller than him so it was an awkward walk to the meeting point. But he'd arrive eventually, only slightly tipping back and forth thanks to the puppets relative light weight.

But he realized one thing on his way to where this newly formed team was supposed to meet up. He'd forgotten to eat something before leaving, and only remembered this upon seeing who he assumed was his teammate offering a cookie to who had to be their new team leader. But he wouldn't give in, they were supposed to be strong adults, not little kidseating cookies! And he'd say as much. Get serious! We're going on a mission, this is serious business! We're supposed to be representing the village, we don't want to come off as little kids with cookies and milk. It was a sentiment only slightly betrayed by the boys rumbling stomach, causing a rather deep blush to form on his light skin.

What a drag another mission why were they putting him through this type of wringer especially one that was so close to where he was originally from? Ten'ei was just outside his home area when he was a baby and while he has no recollection of the time he was abandoned by his parents he knew about it from the shinobi who rescued him. He wished that shinobi could have taken him in instead of putting him in the orphanage that tormented him when he was younger, but at least now he was trying to get out of that life, and being a shinobi certainly helped alleviate being part of those children. Rikuto was running a bit behind schedule this time since he had an internal monologue about how he would appear before the group he was working with. He didn't want to waste any of his chakra for a mission, but honestly, at this point, he wasn't ready to be ostracized for his appearance again by his new team. So he eventually took it upon himself to dye his skin again to be of a chocolate complexion instead of the vantablack it normally held. To make up for the last time though he would use his mitigation to get to the gates through the underground. [break][break]

As he got closer he could make out the muffled words of his comrades speaking, but what caught his attention was one talking about looking like children. Rikuto saw this as an opening and began emerging from the ground behind the blonde boy and say, "Well then maybe these would suit your palette a bit more." A snide smile would appear on his face as he pulled out a handful of edible mushrooms from his pocket. Funfi was certainly something Rikuto took more kindly to than normal people so having them on hand was something he almost always did.

He’d gotten a brief on his temporary team, so he knew what to expect—visually, at least. Kaida was the first to arrive. "Hey,” he replied, and then: "sure, thanks,” as he took one of the offered cookies. Kagero, the second to arrive, was viscerally offended by the offering, apparently. Taka looked at him, placidly munching on his cookie as he considered the young teenager. Before he could choose his words, however, Rikuto—the final member of team three—interjected with a snide offer of… mushrooms? He didn’t want to make assumptions, but he had the sudden recollection that Rikuto was from the same clan as Okingshi, and—well, being suspicious was his job. "Cookies are good fuel,” was Taka’s mild-mannered commentary on the discussion. He was trying so very hard to seem more calm that he was. "Maybe we can try the mushrooms later.” He felt bad that Kagero was clearly hungry, but… he didn’t want a kid that young eating whatever was in those mushrooms. "We’ll get food when we’re done, okay?” "Ten’ei’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s why we’re here,” Taka said, dusting cookie crumbs from his fingers. "Materials were provided and there’s contractors here to direct the actual labor, so all we need to do is the heavy lifting. I think... I want us to split up into two teams, each working under a contractor. They’re the experts here, so anything they say goes.” He paused, considering the three genin. "Uh... Kaida with Kagero, and Rikuto with me,” he decided. Kaida seemed sensible enough to be able to just buckle in and do the work, and he definitely didn’t want to pair off Kagero and Rikuto, so. "Kaida, Kagero, check in at the north side of town. Rikuto and I will be southside. Just shout if you need help.” The contractors for each team would both be incredibly grouchy, yet reluctantly grateful for young shinobi help; even genin were much stronger and faster than the average civilian, and could do twice the work in half the time. They would be directed to haul and place materials for the trained laborers to nail, screw, and weld into place—tedious, physical work, but nothing overly complex. The main challenge wouldn’t be from the work itself, but rather from the passers-by making commentary about team three’s work, and the ongoing renovations. Discontented mutters and murmurs of don’t they have anything better to do? and this is what the Daimyo is offering? were easy enough for Taka to ignore, minding his business as he went about his work, but he worried for his younger teammates, who might not be used to this kind of derision. He hoped Kaida and Kagero were doing okay on their own; he had the thought of peeling off to go check on them, maybe in an hour or two.

[attr="class","lightbluetext"]Kaida was unimpressed by the younger boy’s posturing. Cookies were the best, she wasn’t giving them up because someone might think they look childish. And by the way the kid’s stomach was growling, he probably actually wanted in on the cookies but was too prideful to ask.

Sucks to be him.

Then Rikuto showed up, making Kaida bristle a bit. She definitely wasn’t going to be offering cookies to that rude boy. Nor would she be sampling any mushrooms he had to offer. Her danger sense was sharpened enough to know that would be a bad idea. Instead, she frowned at the not-sincere offer and bit into another cookie.

She listened to Takato’s description of the place they were at. Rough around the edges. How fun. Well, as long as she kept her cool, everything should be fine. Just ignore the people and do her job. She could do that. Easy. Right?

Kaida was paired off with anti-cookie kid, Kagero, and sent to go work under some contractor on the north side of town. She took a deep breath and approached the contractor to get her duties so she could focus on the work instead of the whispers that she heard from the civilian workers, which immediately got the girl’s hackles raised. Maybe keeping her cool would be harder than she thought.

It was easy work for her. Thanks to the physical training she had undergone, Kaida had the natural strength to easily lift large loads of materials and haul them where they were needed. She kept an eye on Kagero, ready to help the younger boy if needed, but she mostly kept to herself, doing the tasks she was assigned by the contractor.

But, she couldn’t help the irritation that was growing at the snide whispers that were coming from the workers. It was only a matter of time before her temper got the best of her, but hopefully they would be done with this place before that time came.

SENSEI!! it was betrayal of the highest order, the older adult enjoying one of the cookies that'd been given to him without a care in the world. What would other people think if they saw such unprofessionalism?? And it only got more unprofessional from there, their third member sneaking up behind the young boy, with no warning whatsoever until he spoke up, catching the blonde boy by surprise to say the least. WHAT THE HELL?? The puppet-carrying boy jumped forward, which was just enough imbalance to topple him thanks to the adult sized puppet he was carrying on his back. Owwww! The shirtless boy rubbed his backside from the fall, before turning his anger on the person who's decided to sneak up on him. What the hell?? Why would you do that you immature brat?! You don't just sneak up on people! It was impressive in its own way, it almost felt like he'd simply appeared from thin air behind him, the young boy never hearing his approach. But he was still upset at him, and knocked the mushroom holding hand away from him when he'd picked himself up finally as their sensei suggested skipping the mushrooms.

The boys blush only deepened though as his stomach rumbled again, with the long haired man tentatively suggesting getting something to eat after the mission. I-I guess that's fine...A celebration and all for the first mission... Though he did feel vindicated as the older man went over the tougher atmosphere and attitudes in Ten'ei while discribing the mission, giving a victorious smirk and grunt while glaring at the girl with long, red hair. See! How do you think these guys would think of your cookies if they saw them? We'd be a laughing stock! And the gloating expression on his face would drop immediately when he said that he'd be pairing the two of them up. Wait, what? With her? But he'd already established himself as the most mature one here, why was HE getting pawned off?

But pawned off he was, and while he kicked at rocks the entire rest of the walk there, he didn't argue against the decision, even if he very clearly wasn't happy with it. Then after reaching Ten'ei, they'd split up, Kagero and his cookie-making partner going north. Sensei probably wants me to just watch over all this, make sure there's no goofing off...Yeah.. He was mumbling to himself as they approached the foreman in charge of construction. And just as Sensei had warned their attitudes was...Less than polite. Yet, Kagero held his tongue here, not only were they full grown adults but the people they were here to help. He had to be professional! And that attitude lasted up until the snide remarks came as they were helping these people, questioning their skills! So the very mature boy decided to show them just what a graduated ninja could do.

Chakra strings would form at his fingertips, slowly stretching before attaching to the puppet on his back. And with one yank, it would spring to life, going from a weird accessory strapped to his back to what almost looked and moved like a living being. And just like a living being, Kagero could have it carry things, he had designed it to look as human as possible after all. So what's the worst that could happen. And after seeing this there'd be no way the workers would be able to deny just how awesome ninja from Kusagakure were.

DESCRIPTION:
The fundamental and most used technique of the style, Kugutsu no Jutsu allows a puppeteer the ability to use puppets in battle. While the degree in skill determines the number of puppets that can be controlled, for starters the user can control only one. By making near invisible strings of chakra from each of their ten fingertips and attaching them to their puppets they are able to control the puppet from various distances. However there is a delay between the puppeteers orders and the puppets movements, meaning puppet movement will not be instantaneous, and the response time increases based on distance.

"Jumpy for a shinobi aren't you?" Rikuto couldn't help and smirk at Kagero's reaction to his sudden appearance. This child would certainly be fun to mess with when they weren't on missions and honestly, Rikuto was looking forward to working with this boy. Who said he couldn't have fun messing with his teammate while doing a mission? Though he had to admit he was disappointed no one took to his friendly offer of mushrooms as it wasn't like they would hurt them or anything. No those mushrooms he would save for a later date and preferably for people who he wasn't working with.[break][break]

The temporary sensei for this mission would then go over the mission details and what they would be doing. Separating into groups just meant they would complete the task that much faster and since RIkuto would be teamed up with the leader it shouldn't be too hard on their front. The only good thing is it sounded like he wouldn't have to worry about fighting anything this time for their mission so Rikuto was ok with doing a bit of manual labor. [break][break]

When they reached their contractor on the southside of Ten'ei they would be directed to bring materials to the laborers to work on which Rikuto did without question. There of course were the snide remarks and comments from onlookers about why they all were sent to do this work. Rikuto was honestly used to the commentary, especially from the bullying he got in the orphanage so this wasn't something new to him. He had tough skin and was used to it even if it was still a tad annoying to him. It's not like they knew what he normally looked like anyways. If they did they would certainly make more rude comments than they were now.

Kagero’s grumblings and protests lingered in the back of Taka’s mind as he worked quietly alongside Rikuto. His own taijutsu training lent him a decent amount of strength, and the manual labor required of them was more than manageable for someone of his strength and stamina; he used the tree-climbing technique when needed to help position beams or metal in a way that made it easier for the construction workers to do what they needed to do, but there was little need of chakra beyond that. Two hours in, they had made excellent time, and were just about done with the work on their side of town. Taka laid a gentle hand on Rikuto’s shoulder. "You’re doing well,” he said softly. "I’m going to check on the others. Thank you for being so level-headed.” He would have preferred if Rikuto didn’t antagonize Kagero, but he was ignoring the snide comments from the villagers remarkably well, and Taka appreciated the effort. He made his way north to where Kaida and Kagero were working, taking care to greet people politely as he maneuvered through the village; making a good impression was arguably just as important as the physical renovation work. He was relieved to see that neither genin had risen to the bait of the grumbling villagers. Taka was taken aback at the sight of the puppet, thrown off for a moment by wondering when a fifth shinobi had joined their team; it wasn’t until he saw the chakra strings that he connected the dots. "Kagero, that’s very impressive,” he said as he approached. "Your puppet is very lifelike.” Kaida, who was also a taijutsu practitioner, was maneuvering the materials with strength and grace. "Kaida, your training is paying off,” he called, the corner of his mouth tugging into the tiniest of smiles. He’d always had a soft spot for his fellow martial artists, and it pleased him to see her succeeding. "We’re just about done on our side. Do you need help with anything?”

[attr="class","lightbluetext"]Kaida’s job was a simple one. The workers had her using her natural strength to cart around the heavy stuff, moving it from one spot to the next. Sacks of concrete, heavy wooden or metal beams, or even wheelbarrows filled with the leftover scraps, she was expected to haul it. If she wasn’t moving something, then the workers would have her holding materials in place while they secured them to a frame or a building. She didn’t mind the heavy manual labor, it was a good work out for the girl. She could feel the burn in her muscles as time went on.

Every now and again, she would sneak a peek over at Kagero, to see what he was up to. The use of a puppet, while cool, seemed like cheating to her. The boy wasn’t even doing anything except twiddling his fingers. It made her frown, but she kept her mouth closed. It wasn’t like she could create puppets, maybe it took more effort than it seemed.

The work went by fairly quickly with the two shinobi assisting. When Takato came over to check on them, the bulk of it was completed, leaving just the finer details for them to take care of. Kaida preened at the older shinobi’s compliment. She had been putting extra effort into her training and was glad to see that it had been paying off.

She wiped the beaded sweat off her brow as she shook her head in response to Takato’s question. "I think we’re pretty much done too," she said. "Only thing left is to finish cleaning up the scraps."

That wouldn’t take long at all and then the group would be headed back to Kusa. Being out and about was fun while it lasted. Maybe she would be able to sneak to the local shop and grab some snacks for the way home before anyone noticed.

Having once been the host to the Rokubi, Kaida's chakra system was forever changed from the average supply it had once been. While it's not nearly as much as it was with Saiken behind her, Kaida now has a vast well of chakra that she is able to draw upon.

This allows her to her to consistently use the higher-ranked, more powerful, techniques that would exhaust the girl under normal circumstances, if she does choose to do so. Though she had to give up any hopes of using the finite control needed for most medical techniques, she is still determined to find a way around that particular limitation.

With her mother’s profession, Kaida has constantly been surrounded by medics and has always been fascinated by them. She wanted to learn everything about them. She dove into books and annoyed her parents with questions. She learned everything she could about not only Medical Ninjutsu, but conventional medicine as well.

When she lost her chakra control due to being possessed by the Rokubi, Kaida lost her ability to use medical jutsu, but she didn’t lose her knowledge. And thanks to her gumption and near obsessive studying, Kaida is still very proficient in using conventional means to heal people.

She can tend to many types of wounds, varying from minor to severe. The girl is even able to identify several poisons and toxins. He talent means she is capable of treating these maladies, even with her limited resources. Though she can't cure them outright, she can easily stabilize people, if needed, until someone with on-the-spot healing is able to tend to them.

On the darker flipside, Kaida's knowledge of human anatomy allows her to know the best places to strike, giving her an edge by being able to inflict the most damage with the least effort. She tries to utilize this knowledge with her skills so she can end fights quickly and efficiently.

The golden haired boy was actually quite happy with how things were progressing, and how well this was actually going. He'd stress tested his puppet of course, knew what loads it was capable of carrying since he'd been the one that built it after all! He knew it could handle these heavy loads, that with it's many ball-joins could carry things them as effectively as any human. And he was making sure of that, watching his teammate, his fellow squad member, comparing the two, and could feel satisfaction and vindication as he saw how effective his masterpiece was. Though, she was carrying a lot more than his puppet was, more than he'd tested in fact. But if she could do it, he was certain his puppet could as well! After all, she why wouldn't it be able to keep up with her, someone who didn't take a mission seriously probably didn't take training too seriously either!

And so the workload increased, and the shirtless boy knew these backwoods naysayers would be impressed now. They would've taken at least ten times as long as they had, they were the heroes in this story there was no doubt in the young boys mind. And while he obsessed over winning the respect of a working class resistant to changing their minds as much as they were to outsiders, he hadn't noticed his sensei approaching, not until he was praising the boy. And he didn't notice the wobble in the string, the minor pulls the slacks. I know~ He didn't hide the pride in his voice at his teachers compliments, the sense of accomplishment flowing through him. I built him myself~ His name is Reddo Bokko! I designed him to look as human as possible!~ The boy obviously expected more praise, but was dragged back to reality when he felt it, a snap. His eyes went wide, suddenly reeling in his strings, trying to make up for his lost control.

Nonononono! Its be hard to tell just what'd gone wrong, or even what'd happened at all for a non-puppeteer, but the panic and struggle by the boy was clear for all to see. And the effects of the event would be easy to notice as well, the load his puppet had been carrying starting to sway, threatening to drop. It was the boys last load, having kept up perfect pace with Kaida, carrying just as much as she had, so why was his puppet losing control?? The pile swayed again, threatening to fall and maybe even stalk the project, or perhaps even set it back if the load broke work already done, unless someone could intervene in time.

DESCRIPTION:
The fundamental and most used technique of the style, Kugutsu no Jutsu allows a puppeteer the ability to use puppets in battle. While the degree in skill determines the number of puppets that can be controlled, for starters the user can control only one. By making near invisible strings of chakra from each of their ten fingertips and attaching them to their puppets they are able to control the puppet from various distances. However there is a delay between the puppeteers orders and the puppets movements, meaning puppet movement will not be instantaneous, and the response time increases based on distance.

Two hours, two hours of exhausting himself with manual labor and honestly Rikuto was getting cranky from the whole thing. For one he was being constantly talked about for his appearance in hush whispers so that was an attack on his mental strain, but to add to the annoyance he was also draining himself physically. Outside of the whole physical ordeal of their task, he was still keeping up his jutsu to keep his skin tone at least normal-looking to people. His ebony complexion was changed to a dark brown in comparison, but keeping the jutsu up for so long was draining. If it weren't for his vast chakra reserves he wouldn't have been able to keep it up. His whole skin wasn't even changed anymore to help alleviate and elongate how he used the jutsu. Under his clothing, his normal skin tone was sweating profusely from the heat. Only his visible appendages and head were society-approved coloration. [break][break]

His exhaustion was probably very apparent on his face though what made things a bit awkward for Rikuto was when Taka laid a hand on him. He both flinched from the touch and the fact his skin had this slimy sensation to it that would squelch when touched. Granted he had been sweating a bit so hopefully, Taka would just think it's sweat, but it still worried Rikuto that his cover might be blown. The only good thing about his interaction was that Taka was telling Rikuto he was going check up on the other group which meant Rikuto would be given a reprieve to be alone for a bit.

Rikuto’s skin had a slimy, tacky texture to it that was distinctly unpleasant, if Taka were to be honest, but he would sooner die than visually react to this discovery in any way; he was a master of maintaining a neutral expression, so maintain a neutral expression he did, and he refrained from wiping his hands until he was well out of Rikuto’s line of sight. What that indicated, if it indicated anything at all, was utterly beyond Taka’s ken—but it was not his place to comment on it. He’d look into Rikuto’s file if he was to be assigned to another mission or training with him, and perhaps discreetly notify the mednin staff that he might need a routine check-up, and leave it at that. Fast-forwarding—Kaida’s clear confidence was in direct contrast to the sudden panic that set in to Kagero’s voice, and it was only thanks to Taka’s keen perception that he was able to spot the teeter-tottering payload that Kagero’s puppet was carrying. Within a breath he flash-stepped up to the puppet’s side, chakra channeled to the soles of his feet to keep him secured to the scaffolding at a strange, uncomfortable angle. Deftly he reached out to take on the puppet’s burden, delivered it where it needed to go, then scooped up the puppet itself to take it back down to Kagero. "No harm done,” he said, depositing the uncannily humanlike puppet at Kagero’s feet. He glanced around, searching for Rikuto; if he was nowhere nearby, then Taka would raise his voice slightly and call for him, summoning the team together. "Be mindful of your limits, Kagero. Pushing yourself too hard can hurt yourself and your teammates.” A crucial lesson gently delivered, Taka would then help the group finish cleaning up the scraps—they were done for the day, and then he would take them out to lunch in Kusagakure, as promised.

But...But... The young boy stammered at his sensei's words, calling them even a light scolding would be like calling a gentle tap a slap to the face. And that was how the golden child reacted to the simple observation, instead of treating it like something to keep in mind in his future endeavors. Because he knew that shouldn't have happened, there was no way. He'd made that puppet, he knew what it could handle, and yet somehow this had still ended up happening. He'd lost control of the situation, lost control of those those pallets, lost control of his puppet. And he was not handling losing control very well. But...

There had to be a reason, a reason he'd lost control the way he had. Something, someone to blame. And yet, there was nothing, he couldn't even blame that red haired girl as she had been ignoring him completely. Something he'd thought was something to be grateful for, until now. As he was forced to face with his own screw up, something that very rarely happened at the young boys home. A benefit of being one of the Goddesses's chosen ones. If..IF THESE WORKERS WEREN'T SO UNGRATEFUL AND SAYING RUDE THINGS! I'd have been able to focus! He was lashing out, finally having found something to attach blame to the loss of control. To allow him to once again be able to know what's best, and be someone people should follow. If these civilians had simply followed him, everything would have ended fine. He was sure of it.

With Taka gone it meant that Rikuto was now left fully alone with the staring workers and of course, his slowly draining chakra meant he was getting quite exhausted from this whole ordeal. He just wanted to run away to some dark corner and cool off from both this manual labor and the people around him. Sure the people talking about him were most likely just talking about the fact he was one of the shinobi from the village, but in his mind, they were making fun of his appearance that they couldn't see. [break][break]

This paranoia didn't help his exhaustion as it practically made him concentrate even harder on keeping his jutsu up only to be spending more chakra than he needed to. His hands were slowly darkening and he needed to cover them somehow. Looking around frantically he found a pair of gloves left over from a worker who went on break and he quickly snatched them up to cover his hands. These gloves were tan so they looked out of place with his ensemble, but it kept his ebony flesh a secret so it would have to do.[break][break]

It wouldn't be too long though before Taka would call Rikuto over to where he was and Rikuto would put what work he was doing down and head over there. He would make it in time for Kagero to comment on how rude the people were and honestly, Rikuto agreed. "Can't blame you they just seem to love to gawk and stare don't they?" Rikuto would say crossing his arms and giving a few a death glare before turning his attention back to the team.
