[attr="class","skullbody"]Ichi hated this clunky suit. Air tank breathing masks, and full body coverings that felt heavy on the body. It was just so against anything that Ichi cared for in this world of few comforts. He just had to go along with it today though. Travelling into Chimamire no Kinoko no Mori was a death sentence almost assuredly usually, but having planned this expedition himself, he was going to go whether it was a smart idea or not. He was looking to research the spores here, and having realized he was dealing with a great interest to a friend he had invited him and a distant cousin of his to the mission. The Gure were mushroom people, so there really was no one better to visit the deadly place with.

The meeting place had already been decided, as the three would of had to set out the night prior where Ichi would allow Okingshi to know more of the nature of the mission, though he made certain that Rikuto didn't know too much about what was going on for this. The young man didn't need the scare of knowing the village pacifist shinobi was ordering the research of potentially deadly spore war hazards. Something that would likely surprise his friend as well. More would come in time after Okingshi promoted. A promotion the green giant had to hope came soon as he needed his best friends help more then ever as his right hand.

On Rikuto's end Ichi had been nothing but curteous despite the slip away with Okingshi he had done under the allusion of needing to talk to him about something rather personal to the two. It hadn't taken long and they had spent the night in a state of calm. Waking in the morning their gear would of been retrieved to put on and the three would of reconvened about 2 kilometers from the entrance to the forest. The smile on Ichi's face meaning nothing from inside the bio-hazard gear.

Ichi's SA's and Techniques in Use:[break][break]

『Harvest Moon's Child』
Ichi was born to the Nakahara clan on the night of a Harvest Moon. Born with quite the green thumb he was assumed to be an inheritor of the clan's natural talents with plants. The roots ran deeper, however, as Ichi was born with a Kekkai Genkai, being a rare natural occurance of Wood Release outside of the Senju. In learning of this he has trained his kekkai to the best of his abilities. He is no master, seeing as he has no reference of Mokuton, but he has found a way to bring out techniques along side his own talents in a cohesive manner.

『Weaver of Wood』
Ichi was born with Mokuton, but he was not graced with the same level of chakra as the Senju would be in his situation. Being roughly average for an individual, Ichi instead focused on the skills his birth clan preferred. Practicing his medical skills, he has gained a higher quality of Chakra Control. Ichi is much less likely to leak chakra than the average shinobi because of this.

『The Festival's Atmosphere』
Having practiced his skills with extending his senses outwards with the use of mokuton chakra, Ichi is particularly adept at sensing life in an area. Capable of finding life through the very nature around people. Within [20 meters] Ichi is capable of passively sensing out plant and animal life in a general sense. Able to differentiate it between plant and animal, but no further. Unlike chakra sensory Ichi can not more or less readily sense others based on their chakra, but instead purely senses the 'vitality' in things, though even those with seemingly boundless vitality will read the same as the elderly or a newborn to him. Also unlike usually sensory to actively search out individuals Ichi requires Mokuton, or the use of his pipe (though using it makes his position much easier to locate), as a catalyst to extend his senses, only going out as far as the technique's range, or twice his passive range in case of the pipe. It is also notable that the deceased, and those that feign death in some fashion, as through a poison or a jutsu, are completely invisible to Ichi. Notably the furthest he can extend his senses is [100 meters].

Money was money and honestly, Rikuto didn't press for more information when he probably should have. The mission involved going to a rather dangerous location, with the help of breathing apparatuses, and researching some of the fungi that were in this hazardous location. While he could have asked for more details in the mission he figured there was a reason behind it and it wasn't something he cared about. The fact they would be exploring and identifying the fungus was enough for him to jump on board for the mission. Along with two other people, one of which was someone from his clan, the three would head out like any other three-man team.[break][break]

As usual, Rikuto would be wearing his disguise and despite them wearing biohazard gear, and another Gure clan member being present, he would still need to keep the jutsu up if not because of their third party member, but for himself and his sanity. Though it wouldn't take long for Rikuto to realize Ichi was not the third wheel of this mission, but rather Rikuto was. Okingshi and Ichi seemed to know each other based on the fact they would end up talking to each other leaving Rikuto alone for a time. It didn't bother him though since he was used to being an outcast from the other orphanage children, but it still did make him wonder what they were talking about. [break][break]

After a night of quietness, where Rikuto stayed far away from the rest of the group so he could hide his visage while his jutsu was off, though is when their mission would begin the next morning they would begin by putting on their gear and after a time of movement reach the entrance to the forest where their mission would begin.

[Gure, Okingshi]

The wisp of winds blew through the jade foliage surrounding Okingshi as he dashed toward the meeting place designated by his former team mate Ichi. It had been weeks since he had seen the looming giant, and discussed the suffering his mind succumbed too. It had worsened, like a festering wound... his mental state only grew more deranged and unhinged. However he still had to do his duty to the village and clan. Today he would be entering the famed mushroom forest of Kusagakure; known for its extreme hostile environment .. the death sentence for anyone who dared entered. Only because of his natural proclivity toward the assortments of fungus that inhabited the area could he survive without the full body suit of protective gear created by the villages scientists. He did however require a full gasmask with highly modified filters, and a oxygen supply in case of the worst case scenario.

Upon arrival the boy gazed toward the two who had already congregated at the forests entrance. Ichi and one of his cousins, RIko. Okingshi had known of the boy and was present for his coming of age ceremony but as of late, his distancing from clan relations had deteriorated and he had not seen them in sometime. Approaching the pair Okingshi let out a grunt to alert them. His movement came to a halt and he grinned. His lips pursed into a wide, thin line beneath the protective face covering he wore. If they could see it, they would quickly reason with the sinister and unhinged persona tittering on the brink of madness.

A deep growl of his voice Okingshi spoke with but a whisper. "Ichi. It is good to see you again. I'm not surprised to see you were the one to call me for this mission."

Okingshi turned to his clansmen with little more than a nod. "Riku, i have not seen your face for years. How have you been?" Okingshi motioned toward the forests entrance. Stepping toward its crest.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Ichi had to admit that he was incredibly glad to see his friend and that he had family here even if he didn't fully understand the relationship between the two. Their relationship would need to take to the background of things here anyways as the trio were about to embark on one of the most dangerous missions that one could, and did not even require they go too deep into the forest ahead of them. A fairly serious expression took over Ichi's face, somewhere between a still incredibly calm and a need to simply be far less relaxed to get to the point and assure the level of seriousness to the whole event.

"Rikuto-kun and Oking-kun. I would normally love to simply speak, but given the danger of this mission I believe finishing it should be our priority today. What we are about to do is incredibly dangerous and I do not forsee it going wrong if we stay careful about the matter at hand," Ichi would state to cut off any further idle chatter. It was unusually for the often unnaturally calm and cheerful young man, but today they needed a different kind of caution that came with a far more serious showing of himself, "We are entering the forest of death, and while it may not immediately kill us everything in there is dangerously toxic, I would assume, even for you two. Our objective is to get controllable samples of five types of the fungi growing there and bring them to the lab to be tested."

Ichi would secure the helm of the suit and situate the breathing device from the front. Yelling out he would continue instruction, "WE have a very short travel in, but here and now we are going to fully gear up and verify between us that our equipement is fully correct. Rikuto-Kun check Oking-Kun, you will check me my brother, and I will check Rikuto-Kun. After we finish this cycle we will swap and check the other person as well. If that is clear lets get started!"

『Master of Festival Games』

Ichi is incredibly smart for someone his age, but he lacks the qualifications to be a scholar. This is because his intelligence is not found in understanding of principles and anything so magnificiently deep. It instead lies in his observational talents and ability to react to everything that is going on around him with an absolute calm. Being able to plan and act with just minute details to go off of, Ichi is best described as a schemer and a diplomat rather than a genius. This makes him perfect for roles that are heavy in Tactical and Diplomatic Decision Making, as he grasps larger images and can put together clues better than others. Effectively allowing him to take in the wider picture of everything going on and piece together practical responses in mere moments with little to no hesitation or error.

Rikuto honestly didn't feel at peace with these two in what looked like a preexisting relationship. Sure Rikuto and Okingshi had blood ties, but due to how he had been abandoned at a young age the meeting of the two was certainly unfamiliar for the youth. They were practically strangers and to some degree, Rikuto might have resented Okingshi wanting to blame his fate from his mother on him, but he knew it wasn't his fault. Still didn't stop him from simply grunting when he tried speaking to him when he arrived. [break][break]

Ichi would explain the dangers of this mission and like a dutiful solider Rikuto would play along to the rules of this game. He needed the money after all and though he didn't like the idea of gathering dangerous fungi for whatever reason the village needed it paid well and it would help him along his way to having his place. So Rikuto followed the instructions given to him by Ichi and checked Okingshi's suit once he put it on to make sure everything was in check. Once done he would say, "All good." Then he would turn to Ichi and do the same for him and respond in the same once everything was in check. Rikuto wanted this mission to be over as quickly as possible since this suit was very uncomfortable for the youth.

[Gure, Okingshi]

Okingshi just glared at his former team-mate as they spoke, noticing immediately the uneasy tension in their tone. It was definitely odd, yet not unexpected for the mission at hand. His mother, the matriarch of Gure branch in Kusagakure; had always warned her son about the dangers of the infamous mushroom forest and today he would discover why. However of all people Ichi should have known Okingshi would throw himself face first into the horrors ahead with only the minimal protection he brought; disregarding the advanced protective equipment usually required. Upon first mention of wearing the biohazard suit, Okingshi let out a gruntled scoff before turning he head away to Riku. Okingshi was surprised to see his cousin following the instructions, adorning the suit.

While the two others begun dressing in their respective outfits, Okingshi swiped away Riku's helping hand and voiced his intention to abstain "Ichi-san, you believe me... GURE!!! Okingshi... needs such protection?" Okingshi growled loudly, his voice laden with a hint of grandeur or arrogance.

His arm stretched out, revealing the streaks of purple scars from beneath his cloak; an ever present reminder of his perseverance in the face of adversity. He motioned in a wide horizontal arc toward the depths of the forest, then continued to speak. "This Mushroom Forest... I am born of it. My body... every fibre of my being.... is indistinguishable from it... I will be fine, brother.. do not fear for me" he ended.

Once the other's were dressed, Okingshi checked to see if Ichi's outfit was suitably secure. He gave his brother a nod, indicating he was ready. Before continuing Okingshi would adjust his respirator, tightening its straps.

Perhaps the spores would not harm Okingshi as he said, but was that a risk that Ichi would take with his best friend's life on the line? And under his leadership as well? No, no it wasn't and Okingshi probably knew that too. Not that there was not compromise here as well though. It was just a matter of the two agreeing to that compromise that would prevent them for going deeper within. Double checking Rikuto's suit before turning to Okingshi again the looming giant of a chunin spoke.

"The gas mask and oxygen tank, at least wear that much Oking-Kun. I will trust your word that you may survive just fine in there, but the spores are not all from mushrooms and they are just as incredibly toxic. You used to wear one all the time, so I don't think this is an unreasonable middle ground do you?" Ichi would ask as he held the mask and tank up to his friend once more. The intention very clearly being prompted as a question, even if it was more somewhere an order and a request. Ichi would not force him, but he also wouldn't take no as an answer and let Okingshi into the forest.

If his proposal was agreed to, Ichi would begin to lead the three into the woods as soon as Okingshi's mask was secured. Passing out the jars and scalpels that they would be using to dissect a variety of the different redcaps and narcotic mushrooms in the wood. The massive tree-like mushrooms quickly becoming visible for the trio as they got within the dangerous radius of the woods. Luckily Kusa had a pretty good knowledge of what they were after given their local populace who studdied the forest and sometimes partially harvested from it's outer most edge.

Being roughly average for an individual, Ichi instead focused on the skills his birth clan preferred. Practicing his medical skills, he has gained a higher quality of Chakra Control. Ichi is much less likely to leak chakra than the average shinobi because of this.

『The Festival's Atmosphere』
Having practiced his skills with extending his senses outwards with the use of mokuton chakra, Ichi is particularly adept at sensing life in an area. Capable of finding life through the very nature around people. Within [20 meters] Ichi is capable of passively sensing out plant and animal life in a general sense. Able to differentiate it between plant and animal, but no further. Unlike chakra sensory Ichi can not more or less readily sense others based on their chakra, but instead purely senses the 'vitality' in things, though even those with seemingly boundless vitality will read the same as the elderly or a newborn to him. Also unlike usually sensory to actively search out individuals Ichi requires Mokuton, or the use of his pipe (though using it makes his position much easier to locate), as a catalyst to extend his senses, only going out as far as the technique's range, or twice his passive range in case of the pipe. It is also notable that the deceased, and those that feign death in some fashion, as through a poison or a jutsu, are completely invisible to Ichi. Notably the furthest he can extend his senses is [100 meters].[break][break]

Ichi is incredibly smart for someone his age, but he lacks the qualifications to be a scholar. This is because his intelligence is not found in understanding of principles and anything so magnificiently deep. It instead lies in his observational talents and ability to react to everything that is going on around him with an absolute calm. Being able to plan and act with just minute details to go off of, Ichi is best described as a schemer and a diplomat rather than a genius. This makes him perfect for roles that are heavy in Tactical and Diplomatic Decision Making, as he grasps larger images and can put together clues better than others. Effectively allowing him to take in the wider picture of everything going on and piece together practical responses in mere moments with little to no hesitation or error.

"Prideful," Rikuto would mutter under his breath based on Okingshi's rebuttal about wearing the suit. He understood where the other boy was coming from, but he didn't question why to bothered if he had made up his mind and chosen to forgo safety. Didn't bother Rikuto one bit and honestly he couldn't care less if the other Gure was affected by the dangers of the area or not. He was here for one reason and one reason only to get the money from the mission. If Okingshi perishied because of his fault that just meant more money in Rikuto's pockets in his mind.[break][break]

Once everything was set up on their suits they would begin their mission forward with Ichi handing them jars and scalpels for the collecting of mushrooms from the forest. A rather simple task really that Rikuto would follow along with obediently. Sure it wouldn't be exciting work, but hey money is money and he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth just because the job was unpleasant. Still, the massive mushroom population was always a sight to see and Rikuto couldn't help but be in awe at the sheer number of fungi living here. Almost made him want to try some of these. Almost.
