[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

Kyokujitsu Senshi was pretty darn close to promoting to the rank of Genin soon! Well. She thought. Her goal was to finish her training and finally join a team, but that might prove to be more difficult than expected. Mainly because she had to uhh. What was it? Oh yeah, master the cloaking jutsu thing. Yeah...Yeah. That was probably gonna be a little bit more difficult than expected. Though not so hard if she had the right one. Taking a yellow colored cloak or large cloth was easy enough to hide in the sand with. Or against the sandstone walls. Which was kind of what Senshi was doing today. She liked to think of it like a game.

She remembered her old games of hide and seek with Ara-Nee and in those times, she never seemed able to really run away far from the older girl. Never. However, today, she was determined to master the cloak of invisibility technique. Because, well, it was a basic staple. Everyone needed to master the basics right? So, with that said, she came out with a plain white cloak. Tiptoeing about to find herself with a test. To see how long she could hide herself without getting spotted by the people around Suna. If she was playing pretend, it was like she was a spy. Though, of course, the best spies in reality were people that could meld with the populace and be hidden in plain sight.

First? There was the question of where would be a good place to hide with a lot of people. There was always populated areas in residentials, but she felt like the best place was the market. Lots of bustle, noise, and plenty of walls and corners. That, and both civilians and ninja frequented there. So if she couldn't hide from a normal civilian, she definitely couldn't hide from a ninja right? It was good experience. So, skipping her way along, determined to make some awesome progress? She found herself in the bustling area. The warm smells of food filled the air and the bustles of sound. Merchants exchanging goods and coins with the every day people. 

Breaking out her cloak, she folds it under her arm, looking for a few moments at the people minding their daily business, sidestepping a dog, as she finds herself shading her eyes, as if doing so would let her see farther into the distance. A good ninja always knows how to conceal themselves and where! So, finding a nice looking crossroads with a sandstone wall, she proceeds to slink her way towards it with swift footsteps. Crouching as if to hide her devious act. As if she was performing a most heinous crime! This was an adventure! This is what fun was supposed to be like! To-tally. Right?

Finding just the right spot, she lifts her cloak and shakes it, before laying her back flat against the wall. Before slowly resting the cloak as flat as she could along herself. Not quite realizing she was not like a chameleon. She applied chakra into her technique, and yet, it must have been relatively poor or shoddy work. She couldn't exactly see out of the thing, so she didn't know how she was doing. Sure. She might have looked like part of the wall, but she was still uhh...bulging out like a person's shape outline. So maybe that was a bit of a flop. It wasn't long before the girl was spotted and found. By a patron with a particularly nervous sweatdrop.

"You're not planning on stealing anything are you kid?" 

A quick explanation and a clear up would leave her at her own devices again, but realizing that she wasn't really good at the whole "stealth" thing after all. Hrm. Which left her then confronted with another attempt. Headed back to her corner hall location, she reflected on her failure, and with it, remembered what they taught her at the academy and all of that. To obscure one's presence and take deep breaths. She tried to imagine the other kids and the way they performed it, but ultimately found herself considering alternatives.

Soon enough? Senshi had her cloak covering her again. She tried to lay flat, but this time, instead of making the sheet so closely tied to her, she tried to hold it slightly apart. Her hands holding it tautly enough as it didn't flap in the wind, her feet pressing at the corner bottoms. Applying chakra, maybe it was a little bit better for herself. Except for the whole issue where the patterning on the cloak was absolutely wrong. Instead of her looking properly aligned, it looked as if a segment of the wall's stone bricks were vertical instead of horizontal. Which either meant that she was hiding there? Or the architect did a particularly weird and shitty job. 

"Hey! If you're planning to steal something! Go do it somewhere else!" 

Once again, Senshi would need to quickly explain the situation, that she was in fact not a troublemaker, but instead that she was trying to hide and learn a new technique! However, being yelled at and told off, she did in fact find herself swiftly running away from the spot to a new location. Sheesh. People were so distrustful! Why would she want to steal anything from here anyways? Well...Actually. That vendor's dango did look really good. Or that rabbit plush looked pretty cute too. Ugh! That wasn't the point! She was training darn it! Why did people have to go shooing her off as if she was going to something absolutely diabolical?!

Utilizing the cloaking technique a third time in a new location? This time. Everything seemed just about right. She stood there for some time, listening to the sounds of people passing by. People talking about odd things here and there. The costs of goods, or casually talking with friends. So forth, so forth. She found herself wondering though. What if they did see her, and they just weren't saying anything? Thinking that through, she wondered how she was supposed to see anything either. She found herself feeling warmer as the sun rose higher. Until she would then eventually find out another flaw with the way she was performing the technique. 

"Uhh...I don't think walls have a shadow like that." A voice expresses. "Yeah. No. I don't they do either." Senshi realized that as she looked behind herself, her outline and shadow traveled along the wall, and in those moments, she found herself lowering her tarp. "Hello!" She calls out, before swiftly running off as fast as her little legs could carry her in the distance. Sheesh. People in Suna were awfully observant. Weren't they? Guess that meant she just needed to be aware and be mindful of a lot more things. Though, at least she seemed to be making good progress!

Resting now, she found herself remembering how to best conceal oneself and the advice given. To blend in with the environment, to mask one's presence with the disturbances around you, and to always remain calm. So, she tried her best. Finding another corner, this time, nestling within the shade where the sun's rays didn't travel, she lingered there in the depths of shadow. It was like a blanket that covered her from the world. It made her feel pretty confident and kind of awesome at the same time. So, she began her wait once again. Except this time? As she lingered about within the depths. It seemed for a long while? Nobody came.

'Ah yeah! I'm the awesomest!' She couldn't help but think to herself. Except. She kind of realized something. Standing around was pretty damn boring. She always had issues with attention, often shuffling around or losing focus. She tended to daydream and her eyes wandered. So, when confronted with this revelation, she kind of wished someone would find her. It wasn't really that fun anymore. So. If she'd mastered the technique in theory? There was only one thing left to do right? Apply it in your every day real life! 

Luckily for Senshi? She had the best way to do that. Best of all? It could be fun. 

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

A game of hide and seek always seemed relatively productive and would be a great way to test her new technique in full. So, finding a game with some fellow kids her age, she found herself delving into the depths of the streets. It was a marvelous experience and it brought her memories to when she played a similar game with Arashi. Good times. Good times. However, now wasn't the time. She found herself experimenting with the technique, finding herself blending within the corridor interior of wall. It looked like sandstone with a mix of dry plaster.

Cloaking herself and wrapping herself over, she hid from plain sight. Watching as people ran by her, and or occasionally stopped to check for signs, but would swiftly leave ahead. Senshi felt pretty good about herself in these moments. She felt like a true and proper ninja as she knew that if she had gotten this down flat? She would be worthy of the title of ninja. Well. After she got some more experience and finished some of her other training that was. Te-he!~ Though. It did seem as if that last part was going to be a rather time consuming process. Still She was determined. As people passed her by for a few minutes, other kids being found? She had decided to take some bold action.

She decided to move herself from her hiding spot. A couple steps before making sure nobody else was about. Senshi drops her cloak, and with it, she scurries and moves herself along the shadows and walls, before then finding a new spot. Cloaking herself again with a flick of the wrist and the cloak reapplied. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully, nobody was going to find and tag her. She was mindful in these moments to be rather perceptive, dancing along the area. Though as good as it was? She was being a bit ballsy.

Travelling through would eventually lead to her trying to get closer and closer to some of the targets without getting found. Until eventually, they spoke. "FOUND YOU!" With the sudden revelation, Senshi had found herself swiftly backpedalling, sidestepping a lunge as she hurls her cloak over the kid's head. "Oh nonono!" Shouting forward, she runs as fast as her legs can carry her, attempting to avoid being tagged as she begins dashing her way forward. All good things had to come to an end, and as a result, she was caught and tagged. Before she bursts out into a bright and happy giggle of laughter. Alright. They got her! Still! It was a lot of fun!

The game had been lost, but she felt she'd learned a lot of valuable skills and gained some good experience today. So, there was little she could complain about there. Instead, taking her progress in stride, Senshi decided to pack up her cloak, and reward herself with a little treat. Some nice cold fruit juice from a vendor. The luxurious sweetness made her feel happy and alive, as she realized that for the most part? She was all set for the Chunin Exam. All she really needed now was to pass the graduation exam, and she could finally pursue her Kunoichi career! Though...Maybe she ought to get some more skills first.

Yeah. That sounded like a plan. With her jutsu learned, she reflected on all she'd done that day, and how she could best utilize this hiding in cloak technique in the future. Sure, it was the lamest out of all of the techniques to actually learn, but at least she got to have some fun today while doing it. Though she did have some hope that in the near future, she'd be able to accomplish bigger things and more. "Oh...I guess I gotta study the written stuff too. Tehee~" She bonks herself lightly on the skull, sticking her tongue out in a wink as she gives a soft sigh.

Oh well. With her newfound stealth prowess? Who knew what kind of mischief this academy student would get into?
