Another day in the village was pretty much like any other day for Zaizen he had done what had been required of him no more and no less. He had made sure the patrols for the ANBU were all in top order. The Paperwork had been filled out and submitted for stuff related to the ANBU and reports filled out. Zaizen was a perfectionist so wanted to make sure everything was in tip-top shape, so his side of the ANBU operations ran as smoothly as clockwork. Zaizen didn't want to give the Mizukage Toru an excuse to be mad at Zaizen, he was barely trusted by the Mizukage to start with. The only real reason Zaizen holds a key position is because of his skills and ability not because of him as a person. Zaizen still planned to make things up to the village and promised on the day he surrendered to the village he would give everything for Kirigakure even if that meant his life.

Now that Zaizen had completed what he needed to for the day he moved over to the training ground for a little self-reflection and training, he needed to keep himself sharp and ready at all times. Zaizen had been at the training grounds for little over thirty minutes or so as he was deep in reflection as he sat cross-legged on the ground roughly in the center of the grounds. His eyes were closed as he was trying to control his breathing and thoughts of his own mind. He was dressed in full gear, face covered by his mask, his red hair following from the parts that were not covered. He had set his Hiramekarei to the side of him as it was easier to sit down without the sword on his back. Hopefully, he would be left alone, but knowing Zaizen and his bad luck someone would come along before long.

It was rare for Sora to visit the training grounds alone these days. Between her duties as a Jounin-sensei, running missions and searching for information on her family, she simply didn’t have much time to dedicate towards such things, but that didn’t mean she had none. She’d scheduled today off for Team 1 specifically with this in mind, even going so far as to keep them an extra three hours just to ensure the little munchkins were exhausted when she finally let them go. Especially Enyo. The little shit.

So it was that she found herself walking through the mist-shrouded grounds, without her typical escort of hyper-active Genin (and Ikana), looking for a good spot to practice her kata. She didn’t need much space, but there were a few other things she wanted to do besides swing Samidare at an invisible enemy. There was a part of her, truth be told, that wanted to find someone to spar with, but that seemed unlikely. Chuunin tended to avoid her now that she was a full Jounin, and most Tokubetsu Jounin simply weren’t well rounded enough to present enough of a challenge unless she limited herself, which left only Jounin, and few of those ever bothered to wander in he-

There was a man ahead.

...Captain Sourei? Sora thought as she walked into a particularly remote clearing. The mist, as usual, made it hard to tell if she was right but… Yes, it was her old Hunter Corps Captain sitting there, legs crossed, back turned towards her. He even had on his (frankly ridiculous) mask, Hiramekarei on the ground beside him. A meditative position if she ever saw one. Can’t hurt to talk to him. Even if he did tend to bring up… unwanted memories.

"I see you’ve managed to escape the paperwork for the day, Sourei-taicho." She said, resting her left hand on Samidare’s hilt as she approached. The man likely knew she was there already, he was a sensor after all, but still. It felt right to say something. And polite, after a fashion.

Zaizen tried his best to find time to reflect and keep his skills sharp on the training grounds when he can, between his work with the ANBU and keeping an eye on the village security it kept ZaIzen very busy from doing much of anything else really. Zaizen also wasn't a social butterfly in the terms he didn't exactly spend time or get to know his fellow Kirigakure shinobi as something like that didn't really interest the man. Zaizen most often than not is very work-orientated. That's not to say he doesn't have some level of care and protection over his fellow Kirigakure shinobi, though he would not openly admit that. Zaizen is the type of man to be in the background, but when he strikes from the shadows likes to make a big impact.

Zaizen continued to relax in the middle of the training grounds as the mist around him made visibility hard to see anything clearly. The man was trying to relax and keep his breathing under control, this was the best kind of relaxation for Zaizen with the man being by himself in the middle of nowhere with the elements all around him. He tried to focus more but his chakra-sensing abilities picked up on someone approaching the man from behind, it was a fellow Kirigakure shinobi, Zaizen knew this without even looking at who it was first, it was all down to his chakra-sensing it allowed him to tell where the person was from also, so helped find people in a crowd if required its one of the reasons Zaizen was able to find his families killer years ago.

The figure behind him revealed it to be Sora, a Kirigakure Jounin and genin team leader of team 1. If you look back in history she was also a hunter-nin at one time or another, but general information about that was only available to the right people like the Mizukage and Zaizen. Zaizen really had no complaints about her skills and abilities when she was a hunter-nin, but wondered if she had been keeping her sensors sharp since she was no longer a hunter-nin. Sora had spoken to Zaizen asking him about escaping the paperwork for the day. For the moment Zaizen remained in his grounded position and didn't move. Zaizen didn't really have issues keeping up with paperwork and did it efficiently as possible and was always completed well in advance, he knew he would have to answer to Toru the Mizukage if he didn't get it done and pissing off the Mizukage was the last thing he needed. Zaizen would simply open his mouth to speak to Sora. " Does the Shark still have some bite left? " Zaizen had spoken to Sora with a question referencing a name she was called when she was a hunter-nin. Zaizen wasn't a man of many words, but when he did speak words coming from him often meant something.

Sora wasn’t surprised by her old captain’s remark; he had always been focused, had alway been drilled down on what was important to him and his. Be strong. Serve the village. Die well. All virtues she had learned under his tutelage in the Hunter Corps… and all things she now questioned, if only to herself. What was the point of strength without a moral principle to guide it? What was the point of a village if it wasn’t built on a lasting foundation? What was the point of dying well if you left nothing but a corpse behind? What’s the point of all of this if nothing ever changes?

She didn’t voice those questions, though. Not to Zaizen. Not to Ikana. Not to anyone. Ever.

"I can still fight, Sourei-taicho." She replied, tilting her head to one side as she did so. The man enjoyed his cryptic statements, but there was nothing hidden in his words- just a question he preferred not to ask. "Honestly, I’m quite a bit better than I was in the Hunter Corps. I didn’t get promoted to Jounin for nothing, after all. Although…"

He is here. And I doubt I’ll find a better sparring partner besides the Mizukage. The thought put a light smile on the woman’s face, her teeth bared in the misty afternoon as she spoke once more, left hand sliding down Samidare’s saya until it passed the tsuba, her thumb pressing against the iron ring with just enough force to shift it up, but not expose the blade.

It was good to hear Sora mentioning to Zaizen that she can still fight he expected no less from the former hunter-nin. Though he pretty much knew what she was going to say before she answered not that he had any hidden reading ability, it's just the answer was pretty easy to figure out because if she couldn't fight she would not be a ninja right now, Zaizen just used the power of deduction which only left the one possible answer. Zaizen's questions and general speak was usually pretty cryptic and often didn't reveal much, this was more of a Hunter-nin technique as it was best to reveal as little information as possible and don't risk exposure. While exposure was much of a risk in this environment and setting. It was just something that Zaizen was used to doing. You could say that old habits die hard and it was the same in Zaizen's case, it was just something he was used to doing and had stuck with him through life.

The statement from Sora about her being a lot better than she had been when she had been a hunter-nin under Zaizen's command seemed to be a bold statement coming from her and mentioned she would have not been promoted to Jounin if it had not been for her increased skills. while some of what she said could be true, sometimes fighting skills have nothing to do with a promotion it could be based on others factors as well, while Zaizen could guess this and that the only way to find out would be to put her skills to the test. Pretty much already confirming her wants from as she spoke wanting to show Zaizen. While she wouldn't be able to see the reaction from Zaizen as he had his back to her, he gave a little coy smile from the corner of his mouth before speaking. "If that is your wish I would be happy to dance with you." Zaizen had spoken and mentioned dancing which meant having a little spar with Sora. "Try to keep up." Zaizen said before picking up Hiramekarei so it was held upon his back once more. Then placing his fingers on the ground below him while still having his back turned to Sora he got into a crouching position before holding his breath and then using the power of his legs and the movement of his hands from below him to fling himself backward in Sora's direction what would happen though his even if she attempted to swing at him with her sword she would find any type of strike useless as it would just swing right through Zaizen as he used his clan abilities to make himself Intangible. Using his sensory skills he knew Sora's position already even with his back to her and used his jumping and clan abilities to position himself behind Sora so the two had basically swapped starting positions in the blink of an eye. Zaizen had just done this to show what he was capable of, he didn't follow up with another attack as he allowed himself to become normal again and thus allowed the man to breathe once more.

The most important factor in battle is not skill, but information.

Sora didn’t flinch when her former Captain stood, hefting the massive hunk of metal that was Hiramekarei with one hand and slinging it across his back. She didn’t speak when the man, an Elite Jounin in his own right, accepted her challenge, didn’t blink when his knees bent and he readied himself for the fight. She knew from her time beneath him as a Hunter-Nin that the weather would be a hindrance; Zaizen was a master of the art of Silent Killing, a ghost in the mist who could sneak up behind anyone and slit their throat before they ever knew he was there. It made him a terror on the battlefield… but it was also horribly, obviously predictable.

So when the man leapt, Sora didn’t try to follow his movements- she simply turned, pivoting around to her right and drawing Samidare in one, smooth motion, chakra surging through the blade as she shaped in without thought, forming a pulse of pure Fuuton that she hurled out in a single, graceful kesagiri, right to left even as she pooled more Fuuton in the soles of her feet.

"Ittoryu Iai: Tatsumaki." Her technique exploded out of her swipe as a torrent of raw wind, powerful enough to match a weak tornado in strength and, more importantly, strong enough to disperse (for a little while) the mist that Zaizen so loved to use. If it threw the man off balance, even for a second, that would be icing on the cake- but she didn’t expect that.

The instant after her Tatsumaki exploded to life, Sora released the chakra in her feet, surging forward with a textbook use of Kaze Sanpo, the Wind Step, Samidare sweeping down in a left to right diagonal that, if she made contact, would split her former Captain open from shoulder to hip. It was a simple plan, really, but Zaizen would have approved all the same. He had trained her to show her enemies no mercy or sympathy, to exploit every advantage to its utmost and leverage even their strengths into an opening.

Whatever metal and forging process was used in the creation of Samidare, it worked; Samidare is utterly unbreakable by most any means, capable of being engulfed in an S-Rank Jutsu and remaining unscathed. Though it is possible that the blade could potentially be broken by a sufficiently powerful attack (such as, say, a Bijuu-dama), this has never been tested, so it is not known if it would survive.

Sharper Than Your Average Blade
Due to its nature as an unbreakable blade, Samidare bears a cutting edge that is of particular note, which allows it to slice through even steel with little in the way of resistance, so long as the proper force is applied. Additionally, this edge never needs to be resharpened, as it never grows dull or rolls, thus making it perfect for frontline combat.

Light as Spring Rain
Perhaps a quirk of its forging (or perhaps an intentional feature), Samidare is considerably lighter than a blade its size and length ought to be; while this would normally result in a less effective weapon, Samidare loses none of its integrity or cutting power, as it is somehow able to leverage the same amount of force through less mass. This lightness allows the user to swing the weapon about with much greater speed for the same amount of physical exertion.

Chakra Conduction
Being Chakra Conductive, Samidare is capable of channeling all types of Chakra for use in Bukijustu, and, more particularly, it has a slight affinity for Raiton chakra thanks to Sora’s constant use of the blade for that purpose. This affinity does not do anything of real note, but it does feel as if the blade were more eager to drink in Raiton Chakra than other types.

It expected nothing less of Sora as she first used a jutsu to help clear the mist in the area around them so it couldn't be used in Zaizen's favor, she was probably expecting to use his silent killing abilities to help track and sneak around the battlefield something he could still do, but for now that present option was not applicable, while the wind did not knock Zaizen off balance as he had already ground himself by the time the full effects of the winds were in effect. In a sense while clearing the mist around them might help for the short term, it could also prove to be a double-edged sword, not wanting to wait Sora exploded into life and used another type of jutsu that increased her movement speed, she was fast as her sword was drawn in swift fashion and came to try and strike Zaizen in a left to right slash if it had been anyone else they might have been finished right about now, but Zaizen knew he could likely dodge the majority of her attack as he moved his entire body towards away from her strike, so he was moving out of its striking range but as he did he felt a small nick on the edge of his clothes. It was impressive in its own right she had managed to lay a strike on Zaizen. With the nick on his clothes it just showed that Zaizen had to be careful around Sora and though blade strikes. He knows fine well he can't fight her sword for a sword so would be a point less exercise.

Now just out of her range he formed several hand sign's. " Jetto Puropera" When he had finished a jet of water come rushing from Zaizen aiming towards Sora, it was a water jutsu meant to be used at close range creating a powerful jet of water. Meanwhile, Zaizen was controlling the water as he moved further away from Sora, but this jutsu would keep Sora away from Zaizen. He could also use his sensory ability to keep track of her in case something happened. Now Zaizen was a good distance from Sora he would release the jutsu and then form another five hand signs that he will use to prepare for something.

[Sora Minami]

Sora had to give it to Zaizen: he was fast.

Not many Jounin could keep up with her speed (hell, there were a few Elite Jounin she could leave in the dust), let alone react in time to avoid even a basic strike of her blade, but the Sourei proved himself the faster, whirling out of the way of Samidare with a level of dexterity and grace few could match. Even so, she felt the slightest of tugs as he pulled away, as if she’d only just grazed his flak jacket, and the sensation put a soft, knowing smile on her face. If this had been a real fight, and her commander had come at her as he had… she’d have gotten him.

The Jounin didn’t wait around to see how her former Captain would respond (and he would respond); instead, the moment her blade cleared its arc she moved, instincts pushing her to leap right and roll, narrowly avoiding a jet of raw water that poured out of Zaizen’s extended hand, but she didn’t stop, charging forward as the man adjusted his aim to her movements. More chakra pooled in her feet and through her blade as she used another Kaze Sanpo to leap up and over the jutsu (Jet Propeller, if she recalled correctly), her body twisting in midair so that she was both above and slightly in front of Zaizen by about four meters.

Without a moment’s hesitation Sora slashed the blade down in a horizontal line, her Saber Jutsu expelling the chakra in a destructive arc that, though lacking the more powerful version’s intensity, nonetheless would cause the Sourei serious trouble if it landed. She doubted it would though; he was too slippery for that. He’d likely dodge, or do that weird crap he pulled where an attack simply wouldn’t touch him, or turn into a veritable tank and just… take it, however the hell he did that.

But she was ready for it. Whatever it was.

Zaizen didn't think Sora would really have that much trouble evading his jet of water as she was pretty fast herself and had such abilities as a sword user. With her rolling and Zaizen missing his attack she would follow up with the same technique as before making herself quicker as she had done before but this time she used it to leap up into the air so that she evaded Zaizen's jet stream, with her twisting mid-air so that she got within 4 meters above Zaizen, as she swung her sword once more this time a powerful crescent of chakra came bursting from the blade towards Zaizen direction. He had prepared a jutsu in advance with his previous hand signs. " Kawarimi no Jutsu " Zaizen body then would switch places with a large nearby stone and Zaizen switched places with it 10 meters away as the large stone took the impact of the crescent strike.

Now Zaizen had a moment to prepare an attack of his own as he formed one of his favorite techniques which made it even better as it didn't require any handsigns to use. " Yari no Zōn no Jutsu." He formed a raiton lance in his right hand. Knowing that Sora was still to land he used his new position to immediately throw the raiton lance he had formed as he did he moved backward to give the attack some power behind it but to also move out of range of its AOE effect. Instead of aiming for Sora which he could have done he instead threw the lance at the ground below her which in turn would cause an AOE effect to take place as the lance struck the ground it created an electrical webbing that expanded on the ground below her for 15 meters the lances strike point the place where the webbing starts to expand. If Sora landed in the webbing it would act like a large electrical surge which acts as a temporary paralytic.

DESCRIPTION:
After performing the necessary hand seals (one post prior to the technique's use) and locating a nearby object within a 10 meter radius (typically a log or something of similar size to their body.), the user switches places with the said object just before an attack lands, creating an optical illusion. During the small interval where they have left their opponent surprised, they may take the time to attack or flee.

DESCRIPTION:
Requiring no handseals. The user generates Raiton Chakra, applying shape manipulation, that chakra is then condensed and formed into a 7 meter long lance. This lance can be thrown, however, despite being physically thrown, it's actually propelled via chakra acting as a incredibly fast and long ranged projectile. The user throws it which gives it a specific command upon launch, this enables it to have varying effects on desire.

The spear gives off a static sound when created and thrown, removing it's capabilities as an assassination technique. Max Range for any projectiles is 100 Meters, before dissipation.

[Piercing]: The user launches it as a piercing lance, which penetrates defenses of equal or lesser rank. With this, it's speed is at its highest, making it incredibly hard to dodge at close to mid range.

[AoE]: The use launches the spear as an paralytic device, when it lands upon an object, it expands as a electric net over the surface spawning 15 meters in diameter with the point of impact acting as the center. Any living existence that touches it will receive a large electrical surge which acts as a temporarily paralytic. This can last from 2 post to 1 post time, depending the distance from the diameter. If at the center, or touched directly, 2 post paralysis is achieved, if at it's mid or outskirts, only a 1 post paralysis will occur. [Used this version]

[Controlled]: After launching the spear, the user produces the [Tiger] hand seal. This will allow the user to manipulate its movement, however, effectively cutting it's speed to enhance it's mobility and maneuverability. Allowing it to be easier to dodge.

[Sora Minami]

It took Sora all of one moment to know she had fucked up. Even as her Saber Jutsu crashed down upon where Zaizen was supposed to be, her brain recognized the hand seals he had formed and reacted, immediately twisting in time with her strike towards the most likely place he had vanished in his Kawarimi- behind her. Raiton chakra crackled in his hand, a lance of pure energy that she knew to be much, much more dangerous than it appeared… and it looked scary as hell. Had her former captain thrown it then, ignoring the chance of blowback, she wouldn’t have had a chance. Her reaction time wasn’t fast enough, her body still mid-way through its rotation, Samidare singing but not close enough to matter.

But then he took a single, quick leap backward as he threw, and she had a chance.

Her hands came together the moment Zaizen leapt back, forming a single seal that poured chakra into every muscle of her body. Sora hit the ground, the Raiton surging through her muscles, but it was too late; her body blurred over the ground, the Shunshin carrying her back, back, back some fifteen meters, to edge of the slowly encroaching mist and barely out of the web of paralyzing electricity. She landed a half second later, every part of her numb and tingling, and rolled with the impact in order to come to her feet, shrouded by the mist but not hiding. Every part of her body hurt. Her breathing came in spurts, shallow one breath then a great, heaving gulp the next… but she was standing. And she had been through worse.

"Good one… Zaizen." She breathed, lifting Samidare over her head with practiced, if somewhat stiff, movements. If Zaizen wanted to toss out high ranked techniques, that was fine. She had something for him, too. Pouring Raiton chakra into her blade while she spoke, Sora took a half-step back, knowing that her former Captain wouldn’t expect her to be done just yet- but at this distance, probably felt safe enough to gloat, if only a little. He had nearly caught her, after all.

That half step was all she needed, though, to even the score. Sort of.

"Ittoryu: Samidaregiri!" Samidare came down the instant before she shouted the attacks name, the raw Raiton energy she had packed into the tip of the blade exploding out in a fury of lighting that tore through the ground before her, ripping up earth and tearing through the web of energy Zaizen had lain down with his own technique. Zaizen was just ever so slightly too far away for her to hit him with the cut- but he wouldn’t know that.

And when the Sourei moved to deal with her attack, she’d be ready, hand seals already forming for a follow up Jutsu that, hopefully, would catch the man off-guard.

DESCRIPTION: By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation.

DESCRIPTION: A unique variant of the Sabre Jutsu developed by a past user of Samidare Samidaregiri works by flooding Samidare with Raiton-nature chakra, which is then unleashed when the user swings the blade, exploding out it in a "cut” that follows the arc of her slash, but with vastly increased range and intense destructive power, as the "cut” is made of pure Raiton chakra and not only cut, but burns and shocks as well. Destructively speaking, Samidaregiri is capable of carving a large, scorched gouge in thick plates of steel.

This is not to say Samidaregiri is a perfect jutsu; it takes a good few seconds to charge the blade with sufficient chakra and, should the user somehow fail to unleash the cut after charging the blade to full, it will erupt upon them instead of their enemy, essentially making this technique almost as dangerous for the user as it is for their enemy. These cuts have an effective range of roughly 15m.

Special Abilities:
The Kunoichi That Goes On And On And On… [Endurance SA]
Perhaps part of her genetics or simply a random quirk of fate, Sora is unnaturally resilient, be it to physical pain or the toils of extended combat. While most Shinobi would collapse in exhaustion at having used all but the smallest sliver of their chakra reserves, she pushes on; while most Shinobi would wilt beneath the weight of sleepless night after sleepless night, she keeps going. This does not mean she does not feel pain/the strain of extended combat, but rather that her threshold for shutting down because of it is far higher than others. To give an example, if she were to be stabbed through her abdomen, she would still feel the pain of the injury, and it would hinder her ability to move/act, but it wouldn’t stop her, whereas a normal ninja might freeze up or shut down from the pain.

Bet You Didn’t See That Coming [Speed SA]
A byproduct of her enhanced endurance, Sora (despite what many would think) dislikes being injured- and with that dislike comes the intense desire to avoid getting hurt, a desire that has pushed her to hone her body until it could move faster than most others of her rank. In short, Sora is fast- very, very fast.

I Am Not Left-Handed [Kenjutsu Mastery SA]
Sora is not merely a Kenjutsu specialist- she is a master when it comes to the art of the sword; after over two decades of training, her skills are unrivaled within Kirigakure, falling short only to the Seven Swordsman themselves… some of them, anyway. This mastery allows her a distinct advantage when fighting other Bukijutsu specialists of similar or lesser rank.

Beyond being a master of Kenjutsu, Sora has practiced for decades to become the faster swordswoman she can be. As such, her Kenjutsu techniques come out faster and move quicker than those performed by others of her rank.

Whatever metal and forging process was used in the creation of Samidare, it worked; Samidare is utterly unbreakable by most any means, capable of being engulfed in an S-Rank Jutsu and remaining unscathed. Though it is possible that the blade could potentially be broken by a sufficiently powerful attack (such as, say, a Bijuu-dama), this has never been tested, so it is not known if it would survive.

Sharper Than Your Average Blade
Due to its nature as an unbreakable blade, Samidare bears a cutting edge that is of particular note, which allows it to slice through even steel with little in the way of resistance, so long as the proper force is applied. Additionally, this edge never needs to be resharpened, as it never grows dull or rolls, thus making it perfect for frontline combat.

Light as Spring Rain
Perhaps a quirk of its forging (or perhaps an intentional feature), Samidare is considerably lighter than a blade its size and length ought to be; while this would normally result in a less effective weapon, Samidare loses none of its integrity or cutting power, as it is somehow able to leverage the same amount of force through less mass. This lightness allows the user to swing the weapon about with much greater speed for the same amount of physical exertion.

Chakra Conduction
Being Chakra Conductive, Samidare is capable of channeling all types of Chakra for use in Bukijustu, and, more particularly, it has a slight affinity for Raiton chakra thanks to Sora’s constant use of the blade for that purpose. This affinity does not do anything of real note, but it does feel as if the blade were more eager to drink in Raiton Chakra than other types.

It was clear that Zaizen's last attack had done some damage on Sora as she had managed to get out of the majority of his attack by taking on some damage but Shunshin away at the same time so that it took Sora backward towards the edge of the raiton web that had been created by his lance before, for now Zaizen had to remember that his own technique was still pulsing with web raiton chakra so needed to watch his step until it wore off. At this point the mist that had been cleared by Sora from before had started to come back into focus as it covered Sora a little but wasn't hidden in the slightest and could be seen, regardless Zaizen could still sense her even if that was the case. Though she had been hurt she had even managed to speak to Zaizen saying to him good one. Zaizen had no reason to show off or really respond back to her statement as it wasn't something that Zaizen really did in combat too much unless it was important, this wasn't the case though.

It seemed that Sora was preparing for another attack as she was making certain movements with her blade which seemed like an attack was incoming after she swung her blade downwards the attack came rushing towards Zaizen as the raw raiton chakra tore through the ground and the webbing that he had created before had been disabled, which would make things easier for Zaizen. While this attack seemed to be quite impressive from Sora Zaizen wasn't really worried not at the range he was at Zaizen was a good 25 meters from Sora as he had used body replacement before moving 10 meters away and then Sora used Shunshin to get back out of range of the lance and that had a 15-meter webbing effect giving Zaizen 25 meters to play with. While her attack came rushing towards Zaizen's location, Zaizen simply dodged the attack by moving to the right and had plenty of time to react. In doing so be performed four hand signs. "Kōdona Kirigakure no Jutsu" After speaking his jutsu, the mist in the area around them would start to thicken up as it was covered in Zaizen's chakra while he could have used the normal variant of the hidden mist jutsu this version was better, but would serve no additional purpose, in this case, it's just this was the better version. After covering the area in the thick mist Zaizen would then perform another hand sign. "Kirisame" After speaking rain started to pour within the hidden mist jutsu which would serve its purpose in due time, this would make using techniques a lot harder for Sora in this rain while blowing it away would help a little it wouldn't really stop the rain all that much. Zaizen then would fade into the mist and Sora would lose sight of the man.

This technique is identical to the original hidden mist jutsu in every way, it covers a large area in a thick fog that makes visibility extremely low, however, instead of simply creating and dispersing a fog all around the user coats the fog in their chakra making it denser for some dojutsu. While the Byakugan will still be able to see through it, because this version of fog is created with the user's chakra, Sharingan-users will only see the fog muddled with the users chakra, completely hiding the user from the Sharingan.

Using the the mist jutsu as a base the user of this jutsu will disperse a mist like rain into a specific area, the mist like rain is not as thick as regular mist and can be seen through by those with above average visual ability. However this jutsu is not meant to impair vision as it is made to disrupt chara of those within the jutsu's influence this makes it harder for any chakra that is not the same as the users chakra signature to become weakened once it has become exposed. This causes jutsu to fail unless the user uses much more chakra then they usually do in order to counteract the disruption (making jutsu that have a Low chakra usage cost require a medium chakra usage cost in order to succeed). Also because the jutsu is mist and rain as well as the fact that it disrupts chakra fire jutsu does not work while this jutsu is active. Also attempting to successfully use a jutsu that already has a Very High chakra cost could be very dangerous and potentially fatal.

[Sora Minami]

Zaizen moved without much hurry, his body flowing languidly to his right as he dodged her attack without much effort. Exactly as she had expected him to do. Her hands blurred together as the man slid into the slowly returning mist, his own seals forming- but she had started first, and that made all the difference, as her first and only seal formed just before his own, Raiton chakra surging up through her mouth as she spewed, not a bolt but a spear of electricity at the man, which scorched through air just as his mist began to coalesce into existence around him. Raiton: Gian.

Sora didn’t stop there though, moving the moment her Jutsu cleared her reach, once more flooding Fuuton chakra into Samidare. Her former Captain’s skill set was focused around the use of stealth and, no matter how much she wanted to think otherwise, if she didn’t keep the mist at bay he would overwhelm her in seconds. Luckily, she had just the technique- one he had already seen before, though this time it came as a horizontal sweep across her body, right to left, meant to clear away the mist once again.

The power of this spear is enough to peirce through stone, meaning that it's potential to inflict damage is high, and a direct hit could possibly kill. It's sheer speed is what makes it so powerful and the fact it's capable of multiplying as well. This technique moves like a straight beam, similar to a laser, which however could make it very predictable.

Zaizen watched as Sora seemed to be firing a raiton jutsu at Zaizen he knew this particular jutsu she was using because Zaizen also could perform this jutsu, but it helped already that the man was moving so after releasing his hand-sign, it was able to further adjust his body movements so that he could dodge the incoming spear of electricity at Zaizen, but doing enough to avoid the jutsu had been enough because he had been moving already. Now his own jutsu had finally triggered the rainfall in the mist-covered area, but that was short-lived. Sora would once again perform a jutsu she had done before, as she used her blade to clear the mist from the area using fuuton chakra, the mist would be clear once again at least for now as that would not stop it entirely. Though the rain from his mist rain jutsu had taken effect and started to pour.

Zaizen pretty much with how intense this spar was becoming, Sora would likely be paying close attention to Zaizen so before her he formed some hand-signs, as Zaizen's jutsu would start to take effect, this jutsu being a visual trigger as things to Sora would start to look like polar opposites to her in real-time. Meaning that someone moving forward would look like they are moving backward etc. So as Zaizen rushed forward it would look like he was running backward. Zaizen pulled out a kunai from his pouch and an explosive tag quickly attaching it to the Kunai and then throwing it towards Sora, he would detonate it just before reaching her as he didn't want to cause her harm but might be enough of a problem she had to do something about it.

DESCRIPTION:
The user performs a couple handseals for this genjutsu to activate it. Perception Deviation is quite the tricky ability and it can be the source of many laughs. It is not an offensive ability, indubitably, and it is rather used as a means to make the enemy's fighting skills drop to a measly zero. This genjutsu is used to shift all of the foe's perceptions to their polar opposite. For example, an opponent trying to go forward would instead go backward – moving their right hand up would make their left-hand move down.

In the end, all motions become very difficult to accomplish, and it takes an awful lot of time for anyone under the spell to achieve a simple task. This is because to them the world is the opposite. Everything else is different to them and makes them go the opposite direction. It is very hard to detect in a foreign land, however, the shinobi might realize it is a genjutsu if he is somewhere familiar - noting the perhaps weirdness and opposing sides of everything.

[Sora Minami]

It took a grand total of half a second for her plan to fall utterly, irrevocably to pieces. Zaizen whirled, deftly twisting out of the way of her Gian in such a short span of time she almost didn’t believe he had actually done it… but then he was moving and she didn’t have time, his hands flying through seals faster than she could react as the air around them chilled and, to her great annoyance, it started to rain. Only, it wasn’t ordinary rain. She had seen this jutsu before, felt its effects, and knew what it meant. Her former captain was setting up for the win.

Fuck THAT. Sora thought as she pooled Fuuton chakra into her feet, readying for another charge… and then the world flipped. Literally. In the blink of an eye, everything simply changed, as if direction had been flipped on its head. Without thinking, the Jounin loosed her Kazesanpo, hoping to catch up to her former captain before whatever it was he’d unleashed could take too strong a hold- but it was too late.

Her body lurched backwards, the very speed she had hoped to use being twisted against her as she flew in the complete opposite direction from what she intended. She tried to correct herself, to adjust and change trajectory, but everything came out wrong and before the Jounin could figure out how to deal with that, she slammed back first into a tree with enough force to splinter a good section of the trunk and rattled her bones. And then an explosion threw her, like a ragdoll, off into the mist.

"Ow." Sora said after a moment, her ears ringing as she sat up- and was surprised when the world didn’t lurch around her. Every part of her body hurt. Somehow she had managed to keep hold of Samidare without getting impaled by the thing, but every other part of her felt like it had just gotten thoroughly hammered by the worst kind of mallet. She could have kept going, could have pushed through the pain to try and eke out a win but… well. Even she knew when she was outclassed. Still.

Sora seemed to be struggling against the genjutsu that Zaizen had used against her before, she seemed to be struggling against the movement effects it had on her mind causing her to think she was moving in the opposite direction when it reality she had been moving forwards, it was a good genjutsu, especially using it with other moves like with the kunai that came flying towards her with the explosive tag attached causing her to run at it instead of away from it since this was a spar though Zaizen had been careful with the timing of the explosion so that she would only get blown backward instead of to pieces. Sora had been blown back into the mist with the shockwave of the explosive tag. Zaizen would follow her into the mist using his sensory skills to know exactly where she was going to be, but instead of following up with an attack he knew this was likely the end of the spar if he took it any further she would likely be serious hurt or worse. Zaizen didn't want to have to explain to Toru that he had killed a Kiri shinobi on the home ground that wouldn't look good for the former missing ninja.

Now reaching Sora in the mist, she was still on the ground feeling the effects of Zaizen's previous attacks, he simply walked in front of her before reaching out his hand to help her up if she wanted his help. "Yeah that is enough for today. You have improved from your time under my command. " Zaizen spoke still offering out his hand to help her up if she wanted the help. It had been a good little spar for Zaizen as she had even managed to cut his clothing which was a good surprise.
