Things happened fast, and he couldn't quite twist his body out of the way, so instead he received a taijutsu technique right to his face. He flew and fell to the ground in a tumble of limbs with a pained groan, his lip busted and black spilling out onto the grass. He didn't see what was happening next, and instead was too busy recovering from the jostling he received to his head. By the time he sat up and was rubbing at his cheek and chin, the Raiton technique had already flashed and had already gone off. But, that meant that he managed to miss the genjutsu through sheer accident.

He ran his fingers down his face taking droplets of blood from his face before flinging them forward like pellets towards his opponent, manipulating them to quite literally fly in the man's direction, this time attempting to hit in whatever way possible. Didn't matter how, didn't matter if it hurt or not - they were just blood pellets after all - but the goal was just to annoy and impede another offensive. But it would require a successful hit of his black blood against the man's body.

Enyo was annoyed and was sneering as he did all of this. This was not turning out how he had wanted.

Kicking Enyo in the face wasn't part of the plan, but wasn't exactly unwelcome either. When her foot connected with his head, she pivoted her leg as she sprung off his face, using it as a platform to hop back, and in a single fluid motion touched along the underside of her arm, hurling a handful of Shuriken towards the old man with poofs of the seals on her underarm. Six of them in a single fluid strike. To prevent them from forming their jutsu. Showing that yes, Ikana in fact did have a bag of tricks up her sleeve. Immediately after launching her throwing star assault, she enters a somersault, lands on her hands, and arches her back as she lands along the ground in a skid; sliding back a few feet as she lets momentum carry her. Her hands rise in a single seal.

"Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" With twin puffs of smoke, two duplicates of the girl form at either sides of her. Now with Enyo, the Genin pair would outnumber the old fellow four to one. The clones stand in front of the real Ikana, as they draw forth twin Kunai. A flock of their wrists as they spin them into the reverse grip. Two in either hand. And for a moment, the original pats them along the backs and shoulders. Without saying much of anything, as Enyo launches his blood assault, the clones at the same time begin to rapidly dash towards the old fellow. Flanking on opposing ends. Enyo as a result of this movement could clearly see the back of one of the clones, revealing Ikana's true and sinister intention. 

Explosive tags rest along the back of the clones. She intended on turning them into mobile bombs. So. As a result, it would be wise if with that knowledge, he pulls back from the area and suppresses their foe the way he was now. From range. They could call that formation A. Hopefully, they'd see some explosive results. Now. Normally, Ikana wouldn't go to such lengths. But he wary in an old man in a career where many died young. She imagined he had to be a Chunin rank at least. His reactions were sharp and keen for an old man to say the least.

DESCRIPTION:
The Kage Bunshin technique evenly distributes your chakra between one or more clones with form and substance.

The clones created by this technique are able to utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, has all of their special abilities, as well as their kekkei genkai. Typically a clone's equipment doesn't retain any special abilities and the clone itself is dispersed when hit with a single attack or incapacitated, although the clone can also choose to disperse itself or be dispersed by the user.

When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained along with it's remaining chakra are passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

DESCRIPTION:
An advanced version of Hikin Fuinjutsu, in which objects that are sealed within their respective holders are branded with a special formula. This particular seal allows its wielder to call upon whatever is placed in the seal with a simple touch of the marker, instantly bringing the weapon into one's hand at the ready. The technique works to cut the time it would normally take to summon and wield a weapon by having the seal in a place of easy access, such as upon straps on one's wrist or the wrists themselves, being able to summon and use a weapon in a seamless moment. Summoning is not as straight forward as the child technique, however, as wired contraptions can be called upon, instantly winding and attaching the wire to one's hand the moment it is summoned.

Sora couldn’t quite suppress a grin as Ikana utilized’s Enyo’s face to leap back, her small frame flying through the air as she launched a brace of shuriken at her, clearly hoping they would interrupt her jutsu. The Jounin’s disguised face made her grin look almost manic and, because she felt like being nice, she stopped her hand seals, rolling out of the way of the girl’s attack, gaze shifting to the Kuronmeru as he tossed his blood into the air, forcing her to move once more, springing into the air to avoid his spray of black blood droplets. They wouldn’t have hurt, but they would have shattered her transformation, and she wasn’t quite ready to let them in on the secret just yet.

Even sol, the pair were making good use of their numbers advantage- until Ikana stopped to form a single, familiar hand seal. Sora had no need to see what the girl did to the back of her clones to know what was coming- she had seen her put the same combination to work against a band of pirates, and knew how destructive it was. It was a whole lot of overkill for the situation they were in, but knowing the girl helped her to understand the logic. Better to aim for overkill and miss than hit but fail to put a target down. It didn’t mean she was about to let the clone get anywhere near her, but still. She understood.

"That the best you two can do?" Sora said as she landed on a nearby branch, snarling. Focusing her chakra through her feet, the Jounin molded it into Fuuton chakra and pulled a kunai from her left hip pouch before flexing her legs- and exploded into motion, blurring up and over the clones in a burst of raw speed that would seem quite familiar to both her Genin (they had seen her use the technique often enough, after all), only to land right in front of Ikana, pivoting on her left foot, right hand coming down in a powerful overhand chop that would bowl the girl over if it hit.

Her left wasn’t idle though, as the transformed woman tossed her kunai mid-pivot, roughly about when her punch would land, aiming it right for Enyo’s chest. It was a good throw, hard but not fast enough for the boy to block or dodge, if he so desired.

DESCRIPTION: The blade is only as deadly as its reach, so maneuvering around the battlefield is important to a swordsman, in order to get close to the target, or avoid attacks. By channeling wind chakra into their feet, the user is able to swiftly run, so quickly that to the naked eye it seems like a blur.

Special Abilities:
The Kunoichi That Goes On And On And On… [Endurance SA]
Perhaps part of her genetics or simply a random quirk of fate, Sora is unnaturally resilient, be it to physical pain or the toils of extended combat. While most Shinobi would collapse in exhaustion at having used all but the smallest sliver of their chakra reserves, she pushes on; while most Shinobi would wilt beneath the weight of sleepless night after sleepless night, she keeps going. This does not mean she does not feel pain/the strain of extended combat, but rather that her threshold for shutting down because of it is far higher than others. To give an example, if she were to be stabbed through her abdomen, she would still feel the pain of the injury, and it would hinder her ability to move/act, but it wouldn’t stop her, whereas a normal ninja might freeze up or shut down from the pain.

Bet You Didn’t See That Coming [Speed SA]
A byproduct of her enhanced endurance, Sora (despite what many would think) dislikes being injured- and with that dislike comes the intense desire to avoid getting hurt, a desire that has pushed her to hone her body until it could move faster than most others of her rank. In short, Sora is fast- very, very fast.

POWAH! UNLIMITED POWAH!! [Chakra Reserves SA]
After a lifetime of utilizing nearly every ounce of chakra in her body just to survive, Sora’s chakra reserves have expanded a considerable amount to compensate- while she’s no Jinchuuriki, her ability to toss out jutsu after jutsu and still have enough chakra to keep going is quite remarkable, a testament to just how much of the stuff she actually has.

I Am Not Left-Handed [Kenjutsu Mastery SA]
Sora is not merely a Kenjutsu specialist- she is a master when it comes to the art of the sword; after over two decades of training, her skills are unrivaled within Kirigakure, falling short only to the Seven Swordsman themselves… some of them, anyway. This mastery allows her a distinct advantage when fighting other Bukijutsu specialists of similar or lesser rank.

If You Try For Speed, You Do Not Achieve Speed [Bukijutsu Speed SA]
Beyond being a master of Kenjutsu, Sora has practiced for decades to become the faster swordswoman she can be. As such, her Kenjutsu techniques come out faster and move quicker than those performed by others of her rank.

Unbreakable
Whatever metal and forging process was used in the creation of Samidare, it worked; Samidare is utterly unbreakable by most any means, capable of being engulfed in an S-Rank Jutsu and remaining unscathed. Though it is possible that the blade could potentially be broken by a sufficiently powerful attack (such as, say, a Bijuu-dama), this has never been tested, so it is not known if it would survive.

Sharper Than Your Average Blade
Due to its nature as an unbreakable blade, Samidare bears a cutting edge that is of particular note, which allows it to slice through even steel with little in the way of resistance, so long as the proper force is applied. Additionally, this edge never needs to be resharpened, as it never grows dull or rolls, thus making it perfect for frontline combat.

Light as Spring Rain
Perhaps a quirk of its forging (or perhaps an intentional feature), Samidare is considerably lighter than a blade its size and length ought to be; while this would normally result in a less effective weapon, Samidare loses none of its integrity or cutting power, as it is somehow able to leverage the same amount of force through less mass. This lightness allows the user to swing the weapon about with much greater speed for the same amount of physical exertion.

Chakra Conduction
Being Chakra Conductive, Samidare is capable of channeling all types of Chakra for use in Bukijustu, and, more particularly, it has a slight affinity for Raiton chakra thanks to Sora’s constant use of the blade for that purpose. This affinity does not do anything of real note, but it does feel as if the blade were more eager to drink in Raiton Chakra than other types.

Enyo sneered a bit when the droplets missed, he could re-utilize them. But he decided not to. Instead he took the taunt of the man, and when he moved forward with raw speed, he did too. Not in the same level of burst, but still as fast as his legs could carry. There was now that flicker of blood lust in his eyes, he was going to put this man down. Now.

Ikana had been approached and Enyo had started his run towards the man simultaneously, being closer he arrived only with the slightest delay, pivoting himself into a leap overhead - twisting his body out of the way of the kunai throw at the same time - performing five hand seals as he did so that one hand started to glow with a precise layer of chakra. His descent was fast and purposeful as the man attached Ikana, he would come down against his attacking arm, or rather, his shoulder. Enyo would use the chakra scalpel to sever the ligaments there and not only hurt the man but also to potentially fully stop him from attacking Ikana... If not, of course the attack against Ikana would be very painful.

It was a bit of a long shot, but he hoped that the man being preoccupied with Ikana, that he would be able to get a subtle shot like this in, especially since it was such a thin layer of chakra over his hand that it might go unnoticed.

The burst of speed and motion wasn't unfamiliar with Ikana. She'd fouhgt against plenty of people that were faster than her. So it wasn't as difficult to track their movements anymore. Not when her eyes had adjusted and she'd spent considerable amounts of time honing her instincts, both killer instinct and the need to react swiftly in dangerous situations. It was there in those next moments though that their sensei came down from high, looking to slam Ikana in the head with a chop motion. Falling from above, the small Ikana could clearly see the shadow that was quickly becoming smaller as it came down upon her. 

When Sora appeared before her, aiming a chop for Ikana, swiftly responds by raising and tilting her right arm, so that the hand strikes against the elbow, a good joint for absorbing shock, as she uses the force behind it to increase her momentum, pivoting once in a twist as she bends her body low. To make herself a smaller target to hit. Though...When she sees Enyo beginning to lunge inwards for his attack? She sweeps her body even lower, her eyes focused intently on her opponent. Before swinging her body in a fluid motion against her assaulter. "Konoha Repuu!" Looking to assault the Jounin's lower body with the force of her legs, it meant effectively now that she was under attack from two directions.

At this similar frame in time? The clones of hers begin to close the distance; dashing inward from the left and right flanks. For now anyways, their foe seemed entirely surrounded. There was only one direction left to go. Up. Unless they had a way of violently pressing past and through any of them.

Sora saw Ikana take the blow, the girl pivoting to one side as she brought her elbow up in a well-timed triangle block that cut most of the force from the chopping punch. The girl bent back like a gymnast, using the momentum from her punch to bring her leg around in a powerful kick to her sternum. Behind her, she could hear Enyo charging forwards, while Ikana’s clones came in from the sides, essentially boxing her in. Had she been the old man she appeared to be, the impromptu combination might have actually worked- very few Chuunin, and only a handful of Jounin, had the speed and reaction time to deal with a multiplicity of threats coming at them from all directions. Unfortunately for her students, she was one of them.

Using the natural follow through from her punch, the Jounin twisted around, left hand coming up to catch Enyo’s chopping slash just below his wrist, arm locked to absorb the impact while her fingers held his arm in a vise grip, not tight enough to break anything but certainly enough to make him feel quite uncomfortable. At the same time, her right arm came down in a hard chop, meeting Ikana’s leg at the point where the shin met the top of the foot, canceling out her kick with brute force as she smiled… and ended her transformation in a puff of smoke, revealing her true form at last.

"That’s more like it."

Enyo's attack was abruptly halted and that was certainly irritating but the combination attack did something. That was, cancel a transformation technique that caused the man to become a woman and not just any woman - their sensei. Enyo was needless to say displeased, though he had to admit to some degree that it had been a good trick to get the two of them to actually try and work together. Enyo understood the power of teamwork - though he did not like it and rarely was the first to try his hand at it.

"Really?" He glowered the chakra on his hand was still glowing quite menacingly as he maintained the technique of the chakra scalpel.

If the battle was to continue he was going to use this technique one way or another to give the woman payback for all the nonsense and chaos she had caused. If not? Then Enyo would upon being released would drop the technique too.

Regardless of whether he was annoyed at the situation or not, Enyo found just the right moment - as always - to make a sly comment about the situation.

"Should go back to being an old man, suits you better." Whether that was true or not, did not matter Enyo just wanted to get under the woman's skin a bit.

In those next moments, the transformation dropped. As her leg was stopped by a chop. And as the transformation jutsu dropped? Her clones came to a skidding halt as the smoke dispersed the illusion. The haze. To reveal none other than their sensei. The clones hold their dual kunai in hand. In truth. They were only but a couple of seconds away from lunging with their dagger-trowel knives, on the verge of attempting to stab Minami with their full might. What an enlightening experience. However, with that said and done? The Ikana clone closest to Enyo's left calls out to him, "You should show some more respect." It responds, sliding its knives into its kunai holsters. Before gazing at that still glowing hand.

Ikana wasn't used to Enyo's brazenness in a way. Because for someone who came from a "noble" lineage, he seemed to behave and act more like a snobbish supremacist. Entitled. If not that, maybe like one of those more delinquent children that she'd have spent time with in the orphanage when she was younger. Those people tended to boast and yell the loudest. The only difference was that kids like that usually shut their mouths once they got their shit kicked in and they were humbled. Which for some reason; Ikana imagined didn't quite work for a boy like Enyo. Because she absolutely refused to believe nobody had tried to beat Enyo's shit in at least once in his life.

"But you did decent Mockingbird. I give you a passing score."

"Yeah, really." Sora said, smiling at Enyo as she held his wrist, careful not to let the buzzing swirl of chakra that had enveloped his hand touch her. She hadn’t known the boy could use a technique as dangerous as a chakra scalpel, but she wasn’t surprised he’d decided to pull it out now- he had a nasty habit of making large leaps in skill when it came to violence, often trying to obfuscate his true intentions behind a thin veneer of childish bravado and Kuronmeru swagger.

"You can drop the scalpel Enyo. The fight is over." The Jounin didn’t release her student’s wrist until he complied, sighing at his attempt at a jab. He really was a little shit sometimes, but at least his insults were getting old. At least Ikana had her back, so to speak, though that wasn’t exactly fair; when it came to hurling insults, 2 on 1 was barely an even fight against Enyo. "You both did well. Your teamwork isn’t perfect but you made the right choices when presented with a superior opponent who you couldn’t run from."

Sora paused, standing to her full height as she graced the pair of Genin (yes, even the little shit) with a smile, clearly showing a bit of pride in their strength. "I’m proud of you."

"Good thing you're not the one grading," He spat towards Ikana with vitriol. She wasn't his superior, she would never be in his mind - even if she were to promote - and to think that she had the audacity to say that she was giving him a passing mark was disgusting and something that he abhorred. Fortunately before Enyo could get much more, Sora spoke.

They both did well. Enyo decided to take that as he did better, even if it was far from the truth. Regardless the fight seemed to be over and he dissipated the focus of chakra from his hand, dropping the jutsu completely so that he could lower himself to the ground and stand there, one hand on his hip listening to the woman.

It was strange to hear that she was proud of them, and it made his head tilt to the side. Those were not words he heard often, actually not at all. For all the things she had ever said to him, why was she proud now? His gut reaction was to not believe her... So instead of taking the compliment he piped up -

"Why?" It was hardly the best move to question the kind words, but he couldn't help it. Nobody in his family had ever been proud, so why would this perfectly good stranger be proud of some silly borderline accomplishment?

Ikana's clones would come closer to Ikana in this frame of time, and she slowly peels off the explosive tags resting upon them, hopefully with enough sleight of hand so that Enyo wouldn't find out what she nearly planned. Explaining to someone that you cared so little about your image that you'd use yourself as a suicide bomb might sit a little bit weirdly with some people. However, when Enyo spoke out, in such a manner as to claim Ikana wasn't grading, she'd slowly step forward then. As those clans vanish out of existence. "Because you made an effort to improve. To work with me dummy."

"Now hold on a second..." She'd step forward and reach out for his jaw. To check his face and make sure that nothing was broken; not that she could actually tell, but also to check his cheek. After getting kicked in the face like he did, she imagined he was going to bruise. As she slowly reaches into her pocket for a small container of balm. "I'm sorry I kicked you so hard..." She says softly, and if he didn't fight her, she'd look to put some on his face. "You do make it a little bit easy sometimes though. Sometimes you act like you're so far above us. That it's like the gap of distance between heaven and earth."

"Like you want us to hate you or something."

Sora gave her student’s words a moment to settle before she said anything more, her soft smile flattening out into something far more stern and familiar to Enyo.

"It is as Ikana said, Enyo." She began, placing a hand on her hip as she turned her gaze towards the girl. "Even working together the two of you don’t have a chance in hell of beating me- but a lesser Shinobi is another matter." They had been a surprisingly good pair, playing off of each other’s strengths seamlessly, despite obviously disliking one another. Not that it was hard to dislike Enyo, but still.

"When we go on missions as a team, I won’t always be there to protect you. There will come times where you have to work together to overcome a superior foe- and today you proved that you can." Their teamwork wasn’t perfect, of course. Ikana had kicked Enyo in the face, and the Kuronmeru had been far too willing to initiate the fight rather than allow his foes to come to him… but it was start.

"So yes. I’m proud of you both." Sora said, walking over to the tree where she had left Samidare. "Now, if you’re done asking questions, I do have a few thing I want to go over with the two of you that you could improve on."

Enyo was going to ignore Ikana, but the very second that her hand reached out to try and touch him he moved out of the way with a swiftness that was reserved almost only for combat.

"Don't touch me, worm." He hissed, and the look in his eyes would likely be enough to ward off most shinobi - if they were not complete and utter idiots. Enyo had not asked to be touched, and frankly found Ikana to be quite disgusting enough that he might heave if she had successfully done so in a non-combat situation. Gentle moments like these were not reserved for anyone, not even his family, so why would a peasant get such a thing? She wouldn't and any further attempts would likely be met with violence instead just unkind words.

Fortunately for Ikana the attention was moved back towards Sora who was going towards a tree to pick up her sword. Which meant he could ignore the other girl once more. He hated to be in her presence, he did not understand why he was put with her on a team to begin with. It was a pain in the ass to say the very least.

"Alright, what do you have for me to improve on... Sensei?" It was an ounce of respect that slipped from his lips, an honorific that would not otherwise come for others.

Frankly. Ikana could have beat the fuck out of him right now. If she held such notions of self importance or violence within her. She took the liberty to lean back against a tree instead. Whatever. She wasn't every really bothered by Enyo's antics and insults; mainly because the maliciousness he held within him was paltry compared to what she was already used to. She was good at never taking things too personally, and was largely apathetic to slights against her, namely because she tended to detest her own existence.

"Suit yourself. I was just trying to help." She answers somewhat sassily with a shrug of her shoulders. What the hell else was she supposed to do exactly? When asked what he could improve on to Sora, she murmured under her breath, "Your attitude." She expresses, before taking a deep exhale. It probably would feel a little bit therapeutic to beat the fuck out of Enyo. Back in the slummish ghetto, they'd mug pretty boys like him and leave his ass spangled over a wall somewhere. Not like that her small life mattered to him, and he didn't matter too much to her either. Teammates on the same side, but not inherently close.

Bonds were kind of artificial at times between Shinobi due to their vast background differences and experiences anyways. They were all divisive amongst one another, but that was destiny one would suppose.

"You’re too aggressive." Sora replied, shooting her own smirk back at the boy as she leapt up into the tree, grabbing Samidare from its perch before landing on the ground, now fully and properly armed. "Both of you. There is a time and place for aggression, yes, but not at the expense of your teammates." She turned towards the pair of them, pointedly looking at the black blood that was still leaking from Enyo’s nose before she spoke again.

"You adapted quickly, but in a real fight there won’t always be time to make mistakes like that." Or at all, if they were to somehow have to fight a Jounin. "So that’s what we’ll work on; silent coordination." The Jounin smirked, sliding her blade back into its spot on her hip as she looked between her two Genin who, whether they realized it or not, weren’t done training just yet.
