The kunai may not have done much but they allowed for just enough of a distraction for Tsugime to slip into the hustling and bustling crowd and out of Enyo's field of view. The boy would do his best to weave through the citizens to put some distance between himself and the genin while also making a turn here and there to try make himself harder to track. Doing all of this with a bum shoulder wasn't pleasant and every time he bumped into someone it took everything for him not to yell out in pain, and while the student thought about pulling the senbon out he knew that would both hurt more and probably make him bleed more than he was currently.

But that would be something to deal with later as for now the boy was focused on evading Enyo and getting to the gates so he could plant this damned flag and be done with this 'mission'. Was this really how real missions would be out in the world? Being overpowered and chased around? It didn't seem fun at all but that only meant that Tsugime needed to get stronger so he wouldn't be at such a disadvantage in the future. After snaking through the crowds for a good while the boy would find himself nearing the top of the gates and nearing an end to the ordeal. Except for Enyo... who was already there. "H-How..." The Yuki stammered. He had done so well to blend in with the crowd and getting away yet here the genin was waiting on him like he had just forgone the chase altogether. Well so much for that plan.

The goal wasn't far but both he and Enyo knew that. Tricks would not work too well in all likelihood but just a straight up fight wouldn't end well for Tsugime, either, and he doubted that the boy would just let him plant the flag with no fuss. What to do, what to do. "Alright then, let's get this over with." The Yuki spoke as he reached for the senbon that was protruding from his shoulder before pulling it out in a grimace. The flash of pain in his shoulder simmered slightly after a couple seconds but it was very much still there. "The wooden and rubber stuff didn't work, but I imagine even you have to be at least a little cautious of something like this." Tsugime would speak before wincing his way through a set of seals, two more clones but this time all holding a bloodied senbon. If he could get Enyo to shift his focus on not getting hit then it might have been enough time to get the flag planted.

With a breath the boy and his clones would bound off towards Enyo, a similar intertwined pattern as earlier but this time two of the Tsugime would split off towards the goal while one continued towards the genin. The true one had split off with one of the clones but was ready to react with senbon in hand if the parlor tricks didn't work.

Enyo did something particularly shocking, well, perhaps shocking to a non-Kuronmeru he did not flinch at the idea of a senbon being stabbed into him. He just kind of stared, smiling slightly towards Tsugime who pulled the needle from his shoulder, determined to make a difference.

It really was a shame that he *had* to let him win. It would have been more fun to put him out of commission for a few weeks instead, he had done it to Yosei recently... Well not a few weeks, but Yosei was definitely avoiding him recently. Which was a hilarious and delightful thing in Enyo's mind.

There was that trick again, Enyo was not bothered. He really had one goal, and there were two running off towards the flag point, so his goal was to stop that from happening, clone or not. Of course if these were just both clones it wouldn't happen, but if the real one was attacking him then he would avoid the attack. Stop the flag being hoisted and avoid being attacked, seemed like a win-win to Enyo who would leap straight for Tsugime.

He aimed to make a very specific impact to the back of the neck of the one on the left, the neck being such a sensitive spot, in-between two vertebrae he hoped to knock Tsugime out for a few seconds, well if it worked anyway. Otherwise he would be adjusting to the one on the right soon after the left - if the left turned out to be a clone.

The feint was a pipe dream of an idea to begin with and had only a slightly higher margin of working because of Tsugime actually wielding a weapon that could do some kind of damage. Of course he had never worked with actually throwing senbon before or doing much of anything with them aside from when one of the instructors would pass one around the class for the students to look at, and seeing how it was his only bit of 'leverage' the boy didn't want to waste it on some haphazard throw.

The clone heading for Enyo would find little more than open space as the genin leapt towards the two Tsugime who were aiming to plant the flag all the while still crossing paths as best they could in such a space which was fortunate as the attack from the older boy would have KO'd the Yuki with ease had the clone not taken the assault; for being mere illusions they sure came in handy. Alas, the time between the strike and Enyo realizing his folly and turning his sights towards the real Tsugime was a whole lot quicker than the boy expected and if he had any hope of getting that flag planted he was going to need to buy himself a few more seconds. With the senbon still in hand the boy would pivot towards Enyo and aim to strike him in the chest, not a throw but an actual stabbing motion. The distance was too close to attempt a throw and with his lack of experience he probably would have whiffed anyway, but because they were so close the hope was that the boy would maybe take this attack seriously and put him on a back foot, or even back up a bit if luck was on his side.

Or it could have just hit him and done a little something which would work, too.

Unfortunately for Tsugime, he was working with someone who was not all there in the head. Probably for the best since he would face any number of enemies when he would grow up into a genin and some would in fact be more like Enyo than the normal sane kind that actually backed away upon attack.

With the clone dispersed, Enyo was now aiming for the academy student that he had decided was the real one - perhaps a bit preemptively but Enyo did sometimes jump to conclusions. In this case, he was correct because Tsugime in his desperation swung around to stab the Kuronmeru... Who didn't dodge.

Instead he used that stopping momentum to reach out and grab onto Tsugime's wrist with his left hand, grinning from ear to ear. He pulled them both to a hefty stop, and he would almost force the senbon and the hand to remain there at his chest.

All at once, the Kuronmeru bit the inside of his cheek so hard that he started to bleed and with a bit of chakra he would spit into Tsugime's eyes, all the while his fumei would actually slide out of its sheath, cutting length wise towards Tsugime's forearm, a little bit of real pain and conflict never hurt anyone... Well it did, but it was certainly fun.

NAME: Tsuba no chi [Spit Blood]
RANK: E
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Kekkei Genkai.
ELEMENT: N/A
DESCRIPTION:
A technique often used by the youth of the clan. When beginning to control their own black blood, one of the more obnoxious pasttimes was to draw their own blood and swish it in their mouth. Mixing it with saliva, it is spit into the eyes of the target. This blurs the target's vision as the black mixture stings and clings to the eyes. Manipulating the little bit of blood blurs the vision quite effectively, not quite to blindness, but creating enough dark spots in vision to make it exceedingly difficult to see. It is simply removed by being washed out with water, though many thorough washes will be needed if the user is beyond a beginner.

With the senbon in hand moving closer with every moment Tsugime wondered if he was actually going to get a hit on Enyo, the time for him to move out of the way was decreasing though perhaps it was some odd game of chicken where the genin thought that the Yuki would stop before striking him, but if it helped him get closer to planting that flag then he was prepared to go all the way. Unfortunately fate had other plans and even though the distance between them was minute Enyo was still able to stop his attack with a firm grab of the wrist.

The boy struggled to push his arm forward to get the senbon just a little bit closer but to no avail as their difference in strength was too much to overcome. Before he could try and think of something to do next the very light in his eyes became muddied as a burning feeling came over him. "Ah damnit, the hell did you do?!" Tsugime yelled out right before the pain of a blade slicing up his arm pulled his attention. The boy was torn between wanting to rub his eyes and tend to what felt like a decently sized cut on his arm and honestly, he didn't know what to do. He was scared, mostly blind and just wanted to be done with all of this but part of him knew that even if he tried to quit the genin wasn't going to let that happen... so he'd fight.

With his only good remaining arm the boy would rear back and swing at Enyo. If he missed he'd try again, and if the boy blocked his fist then he'd rear back and try once more. "Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!"

At this proximity Tsugime didn't miss, but also Enyo was done with his game, he would let the other run blindly towards the flag post - if he could manage it - so once he was punched in the face, he pulled back and as if on a spring would release Tsugime... Though this also meant that if the Yuki didn't quickly catch his bearings and footing he might take a significant tumble down to the ground, or off of the side of the wall that kept Kirigakure enclosed from the rest of the world. It would be a painful tumble but he was a shinobi in training so he could probably manage to survive such a thing.

Either way, Enyo had intentions of helping out with some of the wounds after - if the Yuki would let him get near him after such an experience - but frankly was it really training if you were not truly fighting for your life? One day all of those academy students would have to face reality... They were training to become shinobi, not play around. They were going to be soldiers, and whatever that meant to them personally, they would have to kill, and someone would try to kill them. There was no point in learning anything otherwise.

Desperation bred results and in that moment through the stinging of his eyes and the feeling of blood seeping from the wound on his arm Tsugime only cared about one thing: landing a hit on Enyo. If he could get one then there was a possibility for two, and he'd keep going until the genin either let him go or better. Thankfully it only took one swing for the older boy to loose his grip but given the momentum Tsugime had to quickly catch himself less he go reeling off the top of the tower; he may have survived but that would have definitely put an end to any plans of successfully completing the exercise.

The pain in his eyes, shoulder and arm added to the general exhaustion of running for his life for the past while left Tsugime heaving and about ready to pass out, but the momentary break in fighting was going to be his only shot of getting the flag planted. With his good arm he'd try and wipe away as much of the bloody spit in his eyes as possible, not much but enough to get a hazy view of his immediate surroundings. He could make out the figure before him as Enyo and quickly turned back to his original direction that held the goal. Reaching into his jacket the boy would pull out the flag as he struggled his way over and with one final push would look to plant the rectangular piece of fabric before dropping to the ground in a heap. Exhaustion had finally taken over but the deed was done.

Enyo just stood there, rubbing idly at his face where he had been punched while Tsugime ran towards the nearby flag pole to hoist the flag. He looked quite comical doing so, in Enyo's mind he was a pitiful bumbling idiot. Once Tsugime had accomplished what the exercise had set him out to accomplish, the genin's hands started to come together in a clap. He was clapping at Tsugime, and it was rather difficult to tell if he was doing so sarcastically or genuinely. There was a smile that had tugged at his features, and he looked menacingly towards the academy student, genuine glee in all the hurt that he had caused him. But now it was time to help, so he was approaching.

"Show me your arm." He commanded, kneeling nearby as he reached into his pack to pull out a pretty general first aid kit. Once the blood was cleaned off with some gauze he had snipped off separately from the roll he would put his palm to the superficial wound and force it to cauterize. It was hurt - a lot - but at least it would be no longer a dripping bloody cut but rather just a spot of tender skin that Enyo would wrap up in some more gauze and a bit of sterile fabric form his kit making sure that it was nicely bandaged up.

"Your eyes, you need to wash them out with water. It'll go away." He sneered, cocky and feeling quite good about himself for what he had done.

Tsugime honestly wasn't sure what he was supposed to do now. He could barely see and his whole body hurt. Should he have went home? To the hospital to get his wounds check out? What about notifying his instructors at the academy that he successfully completed the exercise? There were so many moving parts yet the boy just wanted to lay there and wait for the pain to go away. Alas, Enyo was not done with him yet and upon hearing his words Tsugime tensed up a bit but acquiesced to the instructions and laid his arm out for the genin to see.

He winced at the pressure being applied but the familiar feeling of bandages clued him into what was going on: Enyo was patching him up. Part of him wanted to ask if he treated all the academy students so harshly but that was a silly question because of course he did. Perhaps a better question was why but Tsugime was smart enough to know that would end badly. "Yeah I'll get right on that." The boy replied between heavy breathes. He still wasn't exactly sure how he was going to get down from the top of the gates given his blurry vision but that would be a problem for later. "Are all missions like this?" He'd ask while struggling to sit himself up.

Enyo shrugged in response, and it was likely that Tsugime could see a part of that shrug but perhaps blurred and smudged in his vision.

"No. Some are lame cat chasing ones." He could not firmly say that he had ever gone on one, though he had heard other genin complain about just how boring some missions that were assigned had been. Enyo felt a sense of superiority that he had never been sent on such a simple mission. It meant that he was seen as better already as a shinobi than many of his alleged equals.

Once he was done with his bandaging he put away his kit and stood back up.

"But most, you'll find test you like that, with real enemies." He hummed, adding on a bit to his previous point as he glanced over the side of the gate. Had he been a normal person with an ounce of empathy he might have offered to help Tsugime get down, but Enyo's empathy had already been sucked dry when he had helped patch the student up from his bleeding wounds. That was enough, the rest was up to him... Problem solving skill development or something.

"Well, this was fun, if you need a partner again, let me know." Enyo remarked smugly before leaping off of the gate and towards the rooftops.
