The entire village was decked out in festival decorations. There were beautiful banners everywhere, vendors of trinkets and food - animal masks for sale. Music was playing through the streets, and civilians as well as shinobi were out and about dressed in blue. The big push was for everyone to wear blue to represent the Mizukage but also the nations greatest signifier and unifier - water.

Some were setting off firecrackers and the sound of little pops and explosions had filled the air as small children stomped on packs of those crackers to blow them up scaring adults that were not paying any attention. They would run in between legs and feet, tripping some.

There were couples who were hanging around each other, eating different varieties of yakitori. It was a true festival spirit and energy, but it was just for one day and there were some feeling that the harvest festival would be coming soon - the Moon Festival. That was why there were a few lanterns on sale and some other activities going on.

There was plenty to do, at every corner of the village and if one wanted to take a break there were plenty of music and story-telling setups that would allow for a bit of a moment to relax. There was plenty of drinking going on, plenty of blue wearing, and plenty of people chattering about the pros and cons of having such a day to celebrate the Mizukage and Daimyo's birthday... Though most did not seem to mind getting a day off work.

Ikana had never been to a party, nor had she often participated in their festivities. A lifetime of poverty and dower expectation had left her not particularly joyous. After all, their village had been rife with tragedy and sorrow in the decent decades. Civil war. Rampage. The aftermath of dissidence. Ikana had been born and raised in that generation era, and it was strange to think that the generations born in the future would not know such discomforts. They would never know that sorrow. It was a mind boggling thing. In those moments, she found herself dressed in blue, yes.

However, instead of celebrating encases with most? She'd find herself working her stall. Here, she sold ninja tools, scrolls, explosive tags, and other conveniences. In truth, it was probably an event like this that would lead to more commerce, and as many people knew? Ikana was always looking to make a good profit. Scrappy and eager to get up in life; it helped that she could sell all sorts of things today. Counting through her Ryo; she flips through the stacks of bills and coins before keeping it securely locked away within a scroll, then lockbox. The small mini firecrackers and other goods were good.

She didn't really know how to party. As she danced with some thoughts of what she'd do today on this holiday, she did find herself questioning. Even if there was something wonderful to do? Who would she do it with? Enyo? She couldn't even finish that thought fully in her head as she continued to look through her stock. A few dutiful clones helping her with her endeavor as she handled the lighter affairs. Might not be a bad time to do some training. She figured that if all the people were out and about, bustling; she could perhaps have the training grounds all to herself. That sounded like it made a lot of sense. Maybe she would?

Being back in his home, his village, had its advantages, especially the freedom to take a nap whenever he pleased, without anyone nagging him or ambushing him. However, today was no ordinary day for rest. It was the birthday of the Mizukage, who also held the title of Daimyo for the nation. The entire village was in a festive mood, to no surprise, who would hate a public holiday?

Sho forced himself out from the bed, took a refreshing shower, before going out to meet his sister, An, for a leisurely stroll. That was his promise to her, but secretly, he was also curious about how the festival would look like. It had been quite some time since he last celebrated a festival.

Adorned in his usual white kimono, Sho had incorporated touches of blue, complying with the village's theme to represent water, the official symbol of the nation. While he didn't particularly dislike the colour blue, he always had a soft spot for the elegance of white.

Standing near a takoyaki stall, Sho waited patiently for his sister to join him. While he waited, he couldn't help but take in the enchanting surroundings. The entire street was aglow with lanterns of various shapes, and the air buzzed with the lively chatter of both young and old. The sounds of laughter and firecrackers echoed endlessly, signifying the country's prosperity and unity.
