Ikana's main little tactic here was pretty much her main counter in this instance. If Sho was going to obscure himself in such a manner, she would need to meet the provocation in full stride. "Suiton! Suishouha!" She calls forth, and with it, she brings her hands level with her chest. From there. Everything would change. For the very air around her would begin to shift. The mist she had created previously pulling inwards and being drawn for her jutsu, as was the moisture around her. It was when the mist ceased to fade around her that she put together that she may be in Genjutsu.

Yet, there was little she could do about that right at this moment. As the water molecules pulled inwards, the amount was humongous, for Ikana was a master of Suiton. So much so that she could make even seasoned ninja envious with her mastery. Perhaps a remnant of when she was the Sanbi host. The water begins to swirl and coalesce around her like a cyclone, before then dispersing into a gigantic and powerful wave outwards as she swings her arms outwards and begins twisting in a circular motion. The waves were colossal and would begin to rampage outwards, looking to collide into trees, causing them to creak and begin to tilt and shatter as the nearby river stream would flood over.

If Sho was anywhere within notable entry? Well...she'd hear him from this point she imagined along the water's surface. However, she'd also turned this area into her domain. Though. Of course, considering Sho's tall incline, he'd be able to see the jutsu first hand and the scale of destruction she'd wrought. Taking a deep breath, she huffs as her water clones remain close and firmly rooted to her side. "...Watch over me." The original says to her doppelgangers. She needed to catch her breath.

"Oh dear…?" The unfolding spectacle exceeded all of Shō's expectations. Ikana's water mastery reached a level that far surpassed any of his peers. The destruction and the controlled chaos reminded him vaguely of the Sanbi Rampage, although he couldn't quite pinpoint why this association came to mind.

Realising he couldn't dwell on those thoughts, he swiftly created a shadow clone and used Iko to navigate beneath the green landscape. Shō could have opted to hide and stall the battle, but a part of him wanted to witness and evaluate the true strength of Ikana's formidable attack. That's why he chose a shadow clone over a typical water clone, as what the shadow clone experienced would eventually return to the original owner.

Once he was safe underground, Shō dispelled the mist genjutsu, revealing the presence of his shadow clone to Ikana. Positioned roughly 20 metres away, the clone called out for attention, "Here I come!" With a series of hand seals, he planted his palm on the ground, and a cloud of white smoke emerged in front of Clone Sho.

As the smoke dissipated, a muscular leopard appeared, and immediately dashed towards Ikana and her clones with lightning speed. Its speed was so unreal that it almost felt fake – well, because it was. The leopard was an illusion created through False Summoning, designed solely to divert and distract the enemy.

It was when she heard his voice, as well as began to see the approaching animal come approaching that she'd raise her hands that she lowered her arms. "I concede." She says, taking a deep breath. She wasn't here to fight Akirei to such an extent that she'd cripple herself. No. Of course not. Instead, she was here to show her skills enough to prove that she was a viable teacher for Sho's little sister. Gure An. Frankly, when it came down to that, Ikana felt that she'd more than pleased. For the area surrounding them now lay submerged in water, showing a testament to her skill and power as a ninja.

Waiting for him, she firmly steps forward, and her water clones dispel shortly afterwards. Taking the liberty to bow politely, she didn't know really what to think. What Sho thought of her at that. It was all kind of a blur, their match, and how it came to be. However, had she done enough to truly earn his blessing? Had she shown that she was indeed a ninja worth talking about in such affairs? She couldn't say for sure really. "I've shown you a good bit of what I have to offer. And I guarantee you. There's more." Wasn't that a thrilling promise? A prospect to be seen?

Despite his opponent's surrender, the thrill of the spar still coursed through Shō's veins. He couldn't believe the intensity of the battle he had just experienced was against this young kunoichi. "I'm sorry, I think I went overboard…" he apologised sincerely, bowing respectfully before offering her a genuine compliment. "That was insane. Seriously, you would probably overwhelm me in a straight ninjutsu clash."

The spar had far surpassed all of Shō's expectations. It was exceedingly rare for a genin to outmatch a chuunin, and yet, here they were. The only logical explanation was that the kunoichi before him had long surpassed the rank of a beginner. She was over qualified to be his sister’s teacher… At her current level of skill, she could likely handle chuunin ranked missions in groups. That extraordinary powerful suiton alone would bring her countless invites as mission partner…

"Again, my apologies for taking up your time." Shō expressed, noticing the sun was rising nearly to its peak. "Oh, I have to go now, but I look forward to cross paths with you again soon." With a farewell nod, the light blue haired shinobi hastened away, making his way to the administrative district to report to duty, unaware that fate would soon bring them together once more…

Was it wrong that Ikana never saw anything along that line? When she looked upon him, she bows her head, but feels that it was little. "It was nothing. There's nothing to forgive." Taking the liberty to see the man begin to walk away, she found herself thinking on the field before her, and felt little satisfaction. It was just another day. Stepping off, she tried to find some feeling of growth, or satisfaction, or pride, and she frankly found none. It was a good application of her ninjutsu prowess at the very least.

Stepping away from the field, she'd had to consider all that she'd displayed, and found herself dismayed at the lack of feeling of anything. The better question perhaps was if she should be feeling something. What was she doing with her life? Ultimately, she came to do what she normally did. Bottle in those questions, disregard them, and move on. Not like she had anybody to really talk with about them anyways. Nobody she trusted to really understand and get her. Or at least, nobody she thought would give an actual care in the world beyond the superficial. Taking the liberty to control her breathing, she'd calm her nerves down.

Time to go back to the store, and heat a kettle of tea.
