Sayu being of her clans bloodline was inherently born with the ability to one day control ice. Her abilities with it were somewhat natural, as she'd manage to freeze water and lower temperature around her from a young age. Primarily focused within the field of ninjutsu and hyoton being her main nature, her years of honing this bloodline has lead to her being rather legendary among it's users.

Sayu like most Yuki is immune to the cold, but unlike most Yuki she also has a strange lack of warmth. Her body inherently seems to run multiple degrees lower than that of the average person, her touch without any control or seal will directly sap the heat from things she touches. It made her initial years within the hunter-nin quite difficult and had to develop a few means to hide her abnormal body temperature.

Sayu's focus within Hyoton has lead to her ice creations being stronger than that of the average Yuki ice constructs. This strength comes from the fact that when she freezes moisture, her inert chakra remaining in the structure continues to keep it's temperature as low as it can. Sayu carries a cold front where ever she travels, this causes storms in warm climates and heightened cold in cold climates. In order to prevent this effect from worsening her home Sayu will typically wear a seal to prevent this actively happening. This seal hides the majority of her chakra often making her harder for sensors to spot among civilians. Removing this seal mid thread requires five rotations for the climate effect to take place.

Sayu is capable of casting her ninjutsu via dance and performance with her polearms. The movements of her weapon require a one to one trade between 'moves' and hand seals. Though in order to get this ability Sayu's weapon must have a conductive ability or it's reactive nature must still share the jutsu's element.
