Raika blinks when Miroru seems extremely concerned with her answer about not even knowing what Shunshin is. For this reason, she pays careful attention to what the redhead says before she creates a clone of herself, but with her Byakugan active, she can clearly see that this one is a real and physical clone, nearly indistinguishable from the other unless one were to pay attention to which one had just appeared from thin air. Now that was a technique... but Raika had a feeling that such a technique was so far outside of her capabilities of learning that she probably shouldn't even try it for now. Her skillful control over chakra could only take her so far in some aspects, and she felt it likely that this technique she's just seen would be above her in its complexity, at least for now, and she was already keenly aware that her skill with ninjutsu wasn't exactly what one would call masterful. Regardless, she refocuses on the fact that she's learning this Body Flicker technique Miroru seemed to hold in very high regard. With Byakugan active, she's easily able to follow what's being done with the Raiton nature chakra; whatever this Chuunin was, she seemed to have incredible capabilities with ninjutsu, and she almost felt under-prepared. She's no longer certain her auntie had sent her to Miroru as an insult at this point, but just to either embarrass her for her lack of skill in ninjutsu as well or to make her realize that her training in Kawa had realistically done very little to help her in ninja training.

The sudden extension of that Raiton technique is jarring, but with her Byakugan, she can keep track of its movements easily enough. She only wishes she could say the same for the speed of the Shunshin technique, which greatly outpaces the stabbing technique, to the point that the spear misses her entirely before retracting. Even the Byakugan couldn't quite trace it until after the girl had already moved; the eyesight of the Hyuuga had limits, after all. At least without the barrier active, it was a lot easier for Raika to keep track of how the jutsu is done, and in particular how the chakra flows to make the Shunshin no Jutsu work. She feels she can replicate the technique, although she's not sure she'll get mastered on the first try. Raika is definitely the type to give it a shot at instant mastery, at least.

"Well, if training needs to be done, I'd better start the training by doing..."

Raika performs the single handseal with both hands and holds it, imitating the movement of chakra through her entire body in a close imitation of Miroru's own usage of the technique before she rockets her body to her left, moving in a straight line for a significant distance before she loses balance and nearly trips over. Instead of simply falling, Raika at least manages to roll across the ground in order to fully disperse the energy of her own rapid movement instead of taking it all directly on her body. She rises again and brushes herself clear of dust and dirt before turning back to Miroru to see the distance she'd just crossed nearly instantly.

"Okay... Three times is the limit, she says..."

With one more handseal, she focuses on making sure to keep her balance as well as her speed while flooding her entire body with more chakra, and she rushes straight back to her starting position, landing much more firmly and steadily where she stops, dropping the handseal; she was breathing a bit heavily from the work of it, but she certainly feels as though she'd learned to do the technique well enough. Despite the fact that her movement had been empowered with chakra, she still felt as if she'd actually run the distance, both there and back; she could see now why the technique had a limited number of uses. She's actually not sure she could handle three or more, even with her body's physicality.

"All right! Give it to me!"

Raika brings her hand low in front of Miroru, almost as though asking for something to be placed in her hand, where she pauses... Did they have high-fives and low-fives in Konoha like they did in Kawa? She couldn't remember...

Miroru stood back and watched, hands planted on her hips, nodding proudly as Raika proved an extremely fast study, snickering at how easily she adopted the new technique. "That Byakugan really is something else, isn't it? Barely had to watch the chakra flow once to understand how it worked. Man. Wish I picked stuff up that easy!"

At the offered hand, Miroru recognized it immediately and leapt into the air to deliver a proper smack of a high five as she descended! WHAP! "HA! Darn straight! That was a great job, Raika-san! But!" The redhead straightened, pushing her hair out of her face. "Like I said, it's limited, so. You're prooooooooobably feeling kinda worn out after pushing it so quickly, right? We can practice on some other defensive techniques next time. You're gonna want one for blocking and one for dodging at least, and I know a couple super reliable ones. Sound like a plan?" She asked, tilting her head for the response. Her eyes were back to normal by now, but still red. That just seemed to be their natural color, oddly enough.

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

Raika feels pretty proud of herself when Miroru remarks that her Byakugan helped her to learn such a jutsu so quickly, and she gives the shorter girl a big grin of pride after having completed the jutsu so quickly, giving her a little boost of confidence that only compounds onto her previous confidence. Raika is actually relieved when it seems that Miroru is definitely aware of what a high-five is, although she's reminded again that she's a bit taller than the redhead when she leaps into the air to smack her hand. Then Miroru returns to a more serious look, and Raika quickly stuffs her eagerness under a wet blanket, so to speak, turning off her Byakugan so that her bright lavender eyes show through again. Not that she was straining too much with the Byakugan active, it just sounded, from the way she spoke about how worn out she must be, that the training was over for the day. The Hyuuga certainly felt at least a little bit sore after performing the technique twice in quick succession like that, although she knew she could go for a little longer. She also knew better than to try and insist on doing even more training if she was already feeling worn out. If the next technique they might train was even more straining than this Body Flicker technique, then she'd definitely not be in any shape to go about training any further techniques, and certainly not two techniques like Miroru suggested. She'd been so quick to learn this technique simply because it had required the use of chakra to flow over the body, and that was something her eyes were literally built for; she wasn't quite so good at following movements, like the Sharingan was.

"Yeah, that sounds great, Miroru. Same time tomorrow?"

Wanting to get back to training so soon as tomorrow might be a bit of a surprise for Miroru, but Raika was known for being insatiable when it comes to training; she'd already started some training in a spar with Kai the day before, although that had ended rather quickly, if she was being honest. She wanted to make sure he was doing okay after this training anyway, so she gives Miroru a bright smile regardless of her answer. Although, on her way to exit the training ground, something in the back of her mind bugs her a little; Miroru had said that she wished she could pick up on things so quickly... Wasn't she an Uchiha? Raika decided she might need to chew on that for a while...
