[Senju Minazawa]

Minazawa was just getting back into the thick of things again, when she had found a rather simple mission for herself. To travel with a supply caravan to a small town somewhere within Hi no Kuni. Much needed goods that would be needed for the development and further growth of defenses; a new border outpost base. That seemed like something more easy going. Something that she could take care of with little qualm or difficulty there. So, preparing her supplies, including a few simple rations, she head for the village gate where she was to meet her accomplice and partner for this mission. Uchiha Kazui. 

Ah, an age old story. Uchiha and Senju. What was very surprising though was that Minazawa once upon a time was on the same team! What a shocking surprise. "Atatata." She sounded off to herself, uncertain on how to feel. After all, Kazui was a bit of an infamous figure, known as a deserter. And depending on who you asked, the reason for her leaving the village was more malicious, or for some?...A bit more scandalous. Regardless, she had been brought back and was allowed back into the fold, and for that, who was she to question and talk poorly of her? The Hokage had given her entry; and she presumed that she'd paid her dues. Or if not that, then she was in the process of doing so. The white haired Senju made her gradual stop atop the wagon.

Despite being seventeen, she wasn't much different in terms of appearance. She still looked rather angelic and child like, even if she was a bit taller than when they'd have last met. She could have easily passed for someone younger, perhaps due to her vitality and youthful features. "Ohayo. Good morning everyone." She calls out brightly and calmly towards the caravan and its people, petting a mule atop the head. "Let's try our best. Okay?" She says, smiling brightly with her eyes closed upon seeing the mule bray it's heehaw.

Senju Minazawa. It had been years since that name had fallen upon Kazui’s ears, and honestly the girl felt more or less indifferent towards their soon to be reunion. Despite being on the same team for a while the two never really got the chance to talk and grow onto one another - so there were little feelings involved. However, the raven haired teen was excited to be going on a mission yet again..she herself had been away from village duties for quite some time so every mission that she decided to take on was surely looked forward to even if she herself wouldn’t admit it.

Having arrived a bit earlier, Kazui had already taken it upon herself to help load up the caravan and even inspected the wagon prior to tying everything down. All that they needed now was Minazawa so that they could get the show rolling.

It wasn’t too long until the Senju arrived, a rather welcoming and encouraging greeting spoken to those who were setting things up. Stopping in her tracks, Kazui stood upright and placed her hands upon her hips. "Minazawa. It has been quite some time.” She spoke, giving a little shrug of her shoulder. The girl still appeared as young as ever despite the fact that years had passed since they had last seen one another.

"The equipment is already loaded onto the caravan, which has already been inspected. But if you wish to look over for yourself, be my guest.” This mission was more so to help the raven gain a feeling of working with genin, and despite the fact that she was a higher ranked kunoichi, she still valued the voice and insight of her peers.

Also by focusing on a particular chakra, the user can perceive its location and movement with great detail.

Little Know It All - Extreme Intelligence
It was no secret that Kazui was regarded as a scholar when she was in the academy. One of the smartest in her class, the Uchiha often found herself correcting and/or helping out people older than herself. Many considered her very intellectual then, but that was just only the surface of her potential. Now, the girl is regarded as a genius, her IQ is nothing to be taken lightly or to be taken for granted, even as a young chunin. The teen possesses amazing mental capacity, is able to concentrate flawlessly even in the heat of battle, can calculate things in her head with great speed, and is able to remember many things with perfect recollection, even if it’s just useless information that is meant to be disregarded. In addition to that, Kazui is very deductive, competent, and witted. Her mind is the most dangerous weapon she possesses for many reasons. The girl is highly alert, aware, and very analytical, and she is also very ingenious and is capable of thinking outside of the box as well. Not only is she capable of reading, analyzing, and breaking down a person’s fighting style, but she can also determine what kind of person they are just by the way they speak, the way they carry themselves, and their thoughts on certain things. While doing this, it’s incredibly difficult to deceive the girl, especially if one is not skilled in the art of deception. Furthermore, Kazui can formulate numerous plans to certain situations in mere seconds. She thinks 10 steps ahead, and always has a back up plan just incase.

Gone In The Wind - Blistering Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

The Minimalist - Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: Two Tomoe Sharingan
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess and use to its complete and full potential when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Two tomoe grants the user the eye of hypnotism, while in turn increasing the previous abilities that the ‘Eye of Insight’ grants. The girl’s precognition and perception is heightened well beyond what’s achievable by even the most skilled and elite shinobi, allowing her more of a predictive insight on her opponent as well as the world around her. In terms of her being able to track extremely fast objects and people alike, the eye also allows a natural reactive ability that helps her respond more accurately than a single tomoe could ever allow. As for the ability to see chakra, with a second tomoe the smallest and most faint sources of chakra can easily be spotted by the eye without any issue at all. Assigning color and analyzing the flow of the chakra, Kazui can tell which nature is going to be used as well as where the chakra will be coming from.

Tiny Dancer - Elusiveness
Kazui is one quick girl, which isn’t hard to tell. Thanks to her training, the girl has amazing agility and reflexes that allow her to keep herself out of harms way. Even without her sharingan being active, Kazui possesses sharp perceptive abilities and reflexes that allows her to become an escape artist of some sort as well as a complete nuisance to those trying to fight her. The girl’s reaction speed is superb and not to be taken lightly as it is, however, when the dojutsu is active, taking into account the girl’s great speed and adding her keen reflexes into the mix, it’s capabilities are much more potent and useful to the Uchiha. With this, not only is Kazui capable of keeping track of even the most renowned speediest opponents and attacks, the girl is able to keep up with, and react to them as well with relative ease.

Wake Up To Reality - KME Genjutsu Prowess
As an Uchiha it is believed that Kazui and many of her clanmen were born with a natural affinity for the art of genjutsu, but of course none of it can ever come to fruition if there is no effort placed behind it. However, since she was constantly reminded by those around her about that fact, the girl began to focus on the art more than ever before.

Although her illusions do become much more elaborate, less flawed in a certain sense, and stronger, the true results come more in the form of defending herself against genjutsu. Her vast knowledge of the art as well as her training and extremely high sensory capabilities allow for the Uchiha’s escape efforts to be significantly stronger than it normally is, allowing her to free herself from genjutsu up to 1 rank above what she is typically capable of via the special ability granted to the Uchiha with The Sharingan’s genjutsu escape. It should be noted however that genjutsu reversal does not receive any additional boosts from this ability.

Sleight of Hand - Seals Master
As Kazui grew older and gained more experience and familiarity with the ninja arts, the girl’s chakra control had essentially been mastered along with her speed and accuracy with forming hand-seals. Countless of hours spent training, learning, and even creating new jutsu has made the girl grow familiar with every seal needed to perform any jutsu, every motion for every combination, her body absorbed and memorized - allowing her to flow through the motions with no given thought or effort. Her speed with forming these seals is insanely quick and precise, she’s even capable of stringing together the lengthiest combinations of hand seals and casting jutsu faster than most can even dream of keeping up with, making it appear as if she hadn’t even tried to use any hand-seals to begin with. Her vast knowledge and familiarity with sealing in addition to her refined chakra control has lead her to being able to utilize only a single hand to form a seal as well, though she only does this under certain circumstances.

[Senju Minazawa]

Seeing the black haired ravenette appear before her, it was wild. She'd changed quite a bit. A bit more rugged, taller. A bit older. They both were. Though despite Minazawa's increase in height, she looked as youthful as she always had. The power of Senju genetics. She was one of those girls that would probably look like she was in her twenties or thirties until she was eighty, and then she'd look like she was a hundred for the rest of her life. Assuming she lived that long. When she looked at her? her eyes shook for a moment, as did her hands, before slowly stepping forward and giving Kazui a hug. One that was a bit strong, but came to soften. Lovingly so.

"I heard so many things...But I'm glad. Glad that you're back to us." Minazawa was never the kind of person who judged horribly. She was a good natured and kind hearted soul. So, when hearing about all of this horrible negativity, she sought little else than to welcome Kazui back with an open heart and mind. Holding her in this tight embrace, she slowly breaks it. Feeling a strong sensation and appeal to fellowship, she would never turn away another Leaf Shinobi. Not when they had a love for their home, their country, their family, and their village. Even if at times people were lost and misguided, she was only pleased to know that they'd found the light.

"I trust you. If everything's in order. We can go." With that bright and enthusiastic attitude, she'd sit along the top of the wagon's cover. Acting as a sort of lookout, her feet kicking lightly back and forth as she looks towards Kazui. "I'll let you take the lead. Since I know you're in a higher rank position than I am." Nodding her head most enthusiastically. "It's been so many years...We've a lot of catching up to do. Though. We have all time to do it."

Kazui didn’t know what to make of meeting her former teammate, Minazawa. In fact, the girl assumed it would be a bit awkward and uneasy due to the fact that Kazui herself was a kunoichi who had gone awol - following her own vices instead of blindly following along with those who did not understand her. Regardless, as the white haired kunoichi stood in awe the raven-haired teen didn’t know how to react and as Minazawa reached for a hug Kazui winced a bit as she fought off the natural urge to shove the Senju off. But instead she simply embraced her as well..

"Hopefully…” She mumbled in a strained tone as Minazawa’s bear hug was a bit strong. "…They told you the entire story. But I am glad to be back.” She voiced softly in her typical impassive tone, soft and sweet yet bland as it lacked much animation. Once their embrace ended, the Uchiha took a step back and got a better look at the Senju. She still looked oh so very young, and though the two were the same age, it appeared as if puberty hit Kazui a bit hard compared to Minazawa.

"I’m glad to see you’re still active within Konohagakure’s ranks as well, although I’d have expected you to be at least a chunin by now.” Kazui explained. Nevertheless, as Minazawa gave her the thumbs up with the caravan, Kazui gave her thumbs up to the driver and crew and with the churning of the wooden wheels they were soon on their way. "Yes, I suppose we do have a bit of catching up to do.” The teen pondered briefly, resting her fingers gently on her chin as memories of the two began to resurface.

"They didn't tell me much to be honest...Only that you left. However, the fact that you're back now? The fact you're with us means that you value your family. The village." She said softly, relaxing her hug a bit more. "That's all that matters." Minazawa radiated a warmth that was like the sun. Her smile bright as her eyes shined a kindness deep within those orbs. As they made their way, she'd proceeded to seat herself, thinking about Kazui's words. It didn't bother her much in the slightest as she looked upwards towards the sky.

"...I would have thought so too. But I just happened to fall across some hardships." She says lightheartedly. "But I'm sure if I work hard, I can overcome them. I'm just glad to be able to do things like this. Help people. Protect our homeland and contribute. No matter how small it is or the rank I hold. Those things don't matter so much. I'm sure I'll get there in time." As she lay her back along the wagon, she took a deep breath, basking in the warmth as she found herself thinking back to a few years ago. It was strange. Being told that Kazui had vanished. Then later on, told she had deserted the village. Hard to swallow on Minazawa's part.

However, at that point in time, she'd been hospitalized. Hooked up to a respirator and life support. It had hurt her heart, especially since she didn't know why her teammate left. There were rumors that spread. Any number of reasons. However, she believed that it wasn't out of malicious intent. Kazui seemed to be a sweet enough person. The Uchiha often were; if you could get past their hardy and egotistical exteriors. "...Can you keep an eye out for me Kazui-Chan?"

Unsure where the senju was headed with her statement, Kazui took a moment to draw in a breath to brace herself for what the girl might’ve said. It wasn’t a surprise that some people weren’t too thrilled to have her back, that was more or less expected, and to those people the ravenette would tell them to go screw themselves. Luckily however it seemed as if Minazawa was on the opposite side of the pendulum, happy to have the Uchiha back.

Kazui sighed as she shrugged her shoulders. "You can definitely say that, yes.” She cherished her family so much so that she was willing to turn her back on the village just for the slightest opportunity to be with the last inkling of blood that she had left remaining in this accursed world. "The village means a lot to me.” And while she did desert them, there were levels to their importance. Just because she loved her sibling dearly didn’t mean she hated the leaf village, regardless of the actions she took.

"Sure thing.”

She spoke as she focused her mind’s eye over the senju. However, listening to Minazawa explain that a few hardships came up, the ravenette couldn't help but find herself curious about what transpired while she was gone. "That reminds me…what have you been up to since I separated from the team? Any cool…senju things?” She asked in a confused yet genuinely curious manner.

The village meant a lot to her. "Well...No." She said, when asked if there'd been a lot of cool Senju things. "I've been in intensive care, in and out for the past few years. After I got heavily injured." She says rather lightheartedly, as if it wasn't a big deal. "I've just come back into military service recently." How could she really explain that situation anyhow? Quickly turning her focus to the Senju, she’d give the woman a reassuring smile. "I’m sure you’ll take your life back in no time. I’m trying to do the same with my life as well..” Kazui explained with a big grin curling across her features, high cheekbones rising more before eventually falling to rest.

As the caravan continued forward, the feeling of danger continued to increase in intensity. Yet for the time being Kazui remained vigilant. That is until a group of 8 bandits emerged from the dense trees that crowded the side of the trail. Their weapons were drawn as they made their way in front of the caravan. Nevertheless, Kazui quickly leapt to her feet as they announced themselves. "Well what do we have here? Looks like we hit the jackpot boys!! HAHA!” One of the bigger men stepped forward and rejoiced.

There was a moment where her left shoulder convulses, shifting, before there's a cracking and splintering sound. Multiple wooden spikes bursting out of her like a blooming flower, before she grasps one of the spikes and offers it to Kazui.

"I'm feeling sick...Can you deal with them for me? Feel free to hurl this." She seemed very confident in Kazui's ability, and she seemed a little melancholy at the moment. The two foot wooden spike seemed sharp and durable, akin to a makeshift sword. "I'll deal with any that get too close to the wagon."

The man collapsed instantly and began to gargle on his own blood, the wheezing sound of oxygen and blood mixing within his lungs was prominent to the ears of his fellow bandits. "Yeah yeah, anyone else?” Kazui asked, though it seemed as if her words had an opposite effect than what she expected. Instead of fleeing, the men gritted their teeth and charged for the caravan. It was within the next moments that when those men made it clear they wanted to continue to fight, that with a singular handseal, the wooden spike that was plunged into the man's chest would rapidly jut and explode outwards, through his back and spine, as if a tree had rapidly grown inside of him, causing a small spray of blood to burst outwards, splattering over the men before them. The horses startled and disgruntled by such a horrible sight as his chest cavity bursts open. Terror was a weapon that was best employed in the battlefield. And in condition such as this? Well...

Using that moment of shock and confusion, Minazawa grasps another one of the Sashiki spikes from her body. "Ara ara...I guess it can't be helped." She says it in a most exasperated sense as she offers another one of the weapons to Kazui, before taking the third and final spine from her body and wielding it herself like a shortsword. At this point in time? There was frankly more than just a little bit of terror. Because this wasn't about to be a fight. This was about to be a massacre. A slaughter of men, where it would end one way. With their bodies laying on the side of the road or in a ditch. Fed upon by the animals. The worms and maggots would be their comfort.

"You did try to warn them...Kazui-Chan."

Kazui accepted the second spike and nodded at her former teammate. Seeing that the girl was arming herself as well, Kazui knew that there was only one way out of this situation. A sigh parted her lips and the woman’s shoulders dropped. "Hai..”, She voiced, leaping down from her position on the caravan. A couple of the men saw that their injured partner was just that, badly injured but still alive. The men would drop their weapons and collect their comrade, throwing him over their shoulders and running back into the forest. The rest however remained with their weapons at the ready.

The men were hesitant at first but their nerves eventually led them to attack. Leaping ahead of the others was an eager spear wielding man with a frame similar to Kazui’s own. She’d slip past the spearhead before grabbing ahold of it and pulling the man closer - driving the spike into the man’s shoulder. The man would stumble back a few steps, shocked at the sight of a spike protruding from his body. Just as an open was made clear, one of the katana wielders took a try at the unsuspecting ravenette. He’d send a quick slash at her head only to have his blade cutting through the wooden spear and nothing more.

The jonin sidestepped the strike, elegantly spinning past the blade, simultaneously driving the spearhead into the man’s upper back as well. Using her momentum Kazui continued to spin, using the man as a shield hoping to ward off any other attacks before kicking the man away - sending him crashing into the other attackers and knocking them over.

She appreciated Kazui's willingness to do more of the confrontational work on Minazawa's behalf, and to her credit, it didn't mean she wasn't willing to contribute. As Kazui dashes forth, dodging forth the spear thrust that came upon her, driving the spike within him? Kazui danced so elegantly, dodging back and causing the spear to thrust into the body of another. War. Violence. As Minazawa forms a tiger seal, and with it, the spearman was no more. In just a few simple movements, there was death.

Wooden spikes erupting and bursting through his back and shoulder, ripping his body into shreds as he gets sent falling forward from the shift of weight, letting him fall in a somewhat bloody mess. As Kazui brings forth an assault, her dark eyes gazing upon her foes and sending several careening towards the earth? Minazawa seizes the opportunity and throws her third and final spike. Straight down towards them at an angle, and with it, one man is impaled. But...Another tiger seal reveals yet another bursting of wooden spikes and tendrils. As if a seed had taken root within them and burst forth like a bloody outburst.

"Don't...underestimate the power of the leaf." She says, and with it, she coughs hard into her hand, as she leans back and gazes upon them all. This assault was all but over. The farce was done. Soon? It would be time to move forward. Though, as they did, Minazawa looked a little bit paler. As Kazui returned to sit with her on the wagon. She'd rest her right hand down along the seat of the wagon. She didn't want her to see the bloody hand mark. How could she in good conscience show Kazui that? When she couldn't bare to look at it herself.

Kazui drew in a quick breath and exhaled through a sigh. She didn’t want to fight them but it seemed as if the men insisted. Regardless, the ravenette fixed her clothing - flattening out any wrinkles before returning to her seat on the wagon. Some of the men scurried to their feet and began to run away, the others got caught in Minazawa’s mokuton, and that was the end of that.

"Let’s get a move on!” She shouted her orders to the crew before turning her attention back to Minazawa, taking note of the young woman’s hand. Kazui’s mind ran a mile a minute and part of her wished to speak with her about it though, the ravenette could tell that the Senju was trying to hide it from her. Kazui rested her eyes and folded her arms across her chest as their wheels began churning again.

"Good work back there.”

She admitted to her long time teammate, still her focus remained on clearing her thoughts so she wasn’t really facing the girl when she’d given her words of encouragement. Opening her eyes, Kazui’s gaze averted off path and into the trees opposite of the side Minazawa was seated on. The woman watched as nature passed them by. "You don't have to hide anything from me, you know.” She mentioned but wouldn't press the issue any further.

"Let’s just get this caravan to where it's needed.” And so they did.
