Toru was not often coming down to the academy, having fully trusted his instructors to do the right thing and follow the curriculum. Plus, it seemed to be going over well with all the structure they no longer had to guess on what to teach and when. The delineations allowed for an almost all too easy path for instructors to take for the four years that they had their students... Rarely students were held back, some were for their inability to grasp the curriculum but that was quite rare when one had four years to learn.

Today he had come around, checking in on the classrooms and what was happening today. Students training hard as always, it was a different sight from what the place had been once upon a time ago... Well it had not been that long ago since he had been in these halls too, but it was very different now. There were even more of those enrolled nowadays which was usually good, considering that meant more for a potential military.

In time he made it out towards the training yard that was attached, it was there for anyone to use and so sometimes he came here to get some practice and stretches in...

Not today though, today he was just walking by.

[Dansui]

Dansui was where he normally was after classes, the training grounds. He'd decided that he wanted to focus on Taijutsu and ninjutsu out of the options of jutsu that he was presented with. Now, he wanted to get stronger. He wanted to get his strength to a higher level, as that was something fairly important with taijutsu. He'd been told he could improve his speed or mobility too and it'd be around the same amount of effort, but the boy wanted to improve his weakest trait at the moment. That was definitely his strength. 

He'd started with some basic exercises: pushups, lunges, punching dummies. The basic stuff to increase his strength. Now, he was taking a small break on a bench just outside the training yard. Drinking water to cool himself down. He didn't, however, expect to see the Mizukage. "Oh, hello sir. What brings you to the academy today?" The boy asked. Toru had always been busy since the boy had been aware of his existence. It was rather unlikely that he would just visit the academy with no particular plans. At least, that's what Dansui thought anyways. Dansui would take a sip of his water, still recuperating from training.

Toru had not expected to be stopped with an inquiry, so he paused in his silent path when a boy called out to him. He knew of Dansui - as he knew of most of the academy students and all of his soldiers, he did not have a photographic memory but everything eventually came up on his desk, Dansui was one of those people.

"A visit, an inspection, nothing of great importance." He turned to face Dansui fully, having grown respectably recently making him a bit taller than many individuals. Perhaps not all, but for his age it was good enough. At the least he appeared as more of an adult now than ever before, his features losing their childlike appearance by the month.

"And you? Training, I see. What is it you are working on today?"

It was common for shinobi to train in regiments, working on certain parts of themselves during certain days of the week. For academy students for how well rounded they had to be to exit the academy he could only imagine what he was doing to accomplish everything he needed to.

Toru remembered such a time, a time that dragged on because of his initial inability to read.

Nowadays he took specific times on when to train certain things but it was far from easy training. He always had to keep himself physically able or else he would fail as the Mizukage.
