After her initial return to the leaf village, Kazui decided to embark on one final journey before she began to settle back into how things were when she was younger. The time she spent on the road was especially lonely yet was still very beneficial for her in the long run. This time was spent reflecting on life, looking towards the future, and gaining a greater understanding of how the world operated outside of the village’s walls. It was during this journey that the raven decided she’d ultimately resume her life in Konoha permanently while still being tethered to Sai no Kawara in some fashion. Regardless, she was happy to be back.

Soft hues of darkness looked up towards the sky as pools of long black hair sprawled out beneath her. Under the clouds, Kazui spent most of this time reading but couldn’t help to sidetrack here and there as she continued to think about those close to her. From the corner of her eye, a tiny green snake would slither out from the bushes and into the grass, minding its own business for the most part. This however prompted Kazui to sigh, close her book, and simply watch the snake as it wiggled across the earth.

"Where are you?” She asked as her heart yearns out for her closest friend, Yakitsukeru. It had been such a long time since the two had seen one another and it was taking a toll on Kazui.

Now, the girl is regarded as a genius, her IQ is nothing to be taken lightly or to be taken for granted, even as a young chunin. The teen possesses amazing mental capacity, is able to concentrate flawlessly even in the heat of battle, can calculate things in her head with great speed, and is able to remember many things with perfect recollection, even if it’s just useless information that is meant to be disregarded. In addition to that, Kazui is very deductive, competent, and witted. Her mind is the most dangerous weapon she possesses for many reasons. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

Yakitsukeru had been traveling for a few months with little show outside her progress in the comprehension of the various elements. She had already mastered the alteration in nature to Doton before she had entered the previous exam. Once again on a trek back to her home for a visitation, though mostly to check on Tomomi and a concerning letter she had received from some Sunagakure shinobi the Vipress was, for lack of a better term, blank. She hated Konohagakure and that had not changed in the year and a half she had been traveling out of village and learning about the various arts that she had been allowed to. She had so much to do, and this was frankly a waste of her time if she were to be honest with herself and everyone else. Still though she hefted the mass of weight on her back as if it were nothing and continued to stroll within her weighted form. To that degree, Kazui likely knew the girl was coming long before the opposite was true. Having walked the path towards the village with a steady and relaxed pace that set her to reach the village just before the gates were more or less closed to normal travel in and out, moments before sunset. It was still only midday though, which meant she had a long trek on the road and far too much to think about to want to speed up. Impatience was a bad trait for her training to be a sage, and it was a worse trait if she was going to finalize her training regiment for Sage mode when she decided to head across the continent to talk to these martial art sects that Kizumi was making her go after. While Kazui was a prolific sensor, since returning to her home land, she didn’t keep it as active as she once did in the past. At times it got overwhelming, and despite the fact that she may have gotten used to the chakra noise that the world around her gave off, nothing could be the peace of mind that she maintained when her sensory was simply turned off. It almost made her a bit happier, in a sense. Nevertheless, she questioned where her friend might’ve been. How come the girl was NEVER in the village - it broke the ravenette’s heart in a way because she was very much looking forward to spending much time together with her.

Beside her sat a dandelion, so before the wind could take it away, Kazui would pluck the flower from the earth, making a wish and blowing the seeds away into the passing wind. Hmm.. The ravenette hummed. It was beginning to get dark, and Kazui decided it would be best for her to head back to the village as well. Standing up to her feet, the ravenette activated her mind's eye yet again, feeling a cold yet familiar presence approaching. Her eyes widened and her heart nearly skipped a beat. A smile curled on her lips as she decided to hang back for a few more minutes.

"Sorry Yakitsukeru.” She voiced softly as she leapt into the nearby bushes and transformed herself into a boa constrictor. "But you’ve been gone for a while..it’s only right.” The girl laid in wait, looking forward to getting one over on her childhood friend.

Mulling over the concepts of energy as she moved, having so far mastered no new jutsu, but having managed to replicate three nature changes and she could tell she and Mairasu would both be on the precipice of sage mode's earliest form soon mentorship be damned. In all it was rather well spent progress over the course of two years, but she needed to finish her processes sooner rather then later now. Something that came with a level of readiness for the young girl as she wished to be considered for Chunin before she was eighteen and her seventeenth birthday was not that far from the day. A simple half year. Could one properly master the change of all five natures in just three years as a shinobi? That didn't stop her from noticing a snake and pausing though. A long boa that looked out of place in Hi no Kuni, especially this far from the Grand Sage's cavernous home of venoms. Perplexing, and momentarily distracting Yaki would squat down and simply stare at the large reptile with interest and study. An outstretched hand given to invite the creature to her fold, a lack of companions upon the girls body showing something that had never been true in the years the two girls had known eachother; Yaki carried no snakes on her. With sharp eyes Kazui watched closely as her friend began to pass her by, but seeing such a creature seemed to slow the apprentice down, even stopping the girl dead in her tracks. On the outside Kazui was playing the role of the snake pretty well, however on the inside she wished to simply latch onto her friend and give her a giant hug. Hmm. The teen hummed to herself.

Most if not all of her weight resting on the genin’s back. "Where are your slithery companions?” She asked curiously, still latched onto the other girl.

Sighing from her position Yaki formed a handseal, decompressing the noticably considerable weight that she carried while moving as a way to keep herself training at all times.
