Through the manipulation of Yōton chakra consistently throughout it's length, Yōgan-Ryū will flash a fiery red before undergoing a near instantaneous change of state.  Switching between the two forms require a high chakra cost, as it's essentially reforging the weapon. If the weapon is damaged it cannot switch to either form until it has been repaired and will cost the wielder a medium to high chakra cost dependent on the amount of damage it has sustained.
