[juryoku yusei]

The trek out to the fields was a long and arduous one. To be this far afield from Kusakagure was both a relief and a source of stress all in one. Nobody in his ear at home, and yet... he was so close to the border with Iwagakure. In either case, as was made clear in his file, Yusei spent a frankly abnormal amount of time as a genin in the service of public works projects. His Kekkei Genkai simplified the task of heavy-lifting, and he rather enjoyed doing manual labor while daydreaming.

Being tasked with renovations on a military outpost inspired a similar feeling. The assignment stirred nostalgia in him, a slight smirk on a face otherwise marked by ringed, half-lidded eyes and youthfully smooth skin from having doled out his smiles sparingly. His navy-blue jumpsuit clung to him, but the Kusakagure headband tied to his neck and wide-open flak jacket were toyed with by the breeze.

Faced with the foreman and a team of Ashigaru, Yusei took a long look at the fort ahead, in the jade-tipped fields. The land's ample lumber was here as ladders. Large pallets of roofing tile were present, as well as reinforced brick. A new house for weapon and tool storage by the keep? Another barrack? Yusei had a faint idea, but he'd defer to whomever enlisted him in this mission.

Yusei turned, flinching as a boy his age towered over him. He wasn't snuck up on by any stretch of the imagination, and even expected the other name on the bill to show himself. It's just... he thought he was tall at 5'7. Yusei offered a hand to shake, an eye cast to the pallets of brick before looking up and meeting Ichi's. He spoke with a murmur, a perpetual morning-voice.

"...It's nice to meet you. My name is Jūryoku Yusei. I'll be working with you today."
