In attempting to communicate with the young Ha, Sumire robs a library of what is possibly its only copy of a sign-language dictionary and begins teaching herself basic vocabulary and grammar structure, all while wearing Momo. This is the first step towards meister-hood, though Sumire doesn't quite know it yet.

During the spar, their opponent uses a genjutsu on Sumire to throw off her ability to fight effectively in hand-to-hand combat, but Momo pushes through their mental divide just enough to be able to give her enough guidance and direction to win the scrap.
