The trek outside Kusakagure was strictly business; they needed a third to protect a trade route of theirs. He understood that as much in the initial debrief, the signature he left on the scroll that looked simple and childish, somewhere between kanji and a pharmacist's shorthand.

A blue and white flash drew near the coast. He looked like he'd sprinted for a bit, landing in that distinct superhero pose, on one knee and one foot. Yusei's off-white hair spilled all over his face, navy-blue jumpsuit showing off the contours of his muscles. A flak jacket left unzipped exposed the Kusakagure headband tied to his neck like a bandanna. He cast a half-lidded eye to Kazui, clearing his throat. Regardless, he had the morning-voice murmur of a man who just rolled out of bed. "...I don't believe we've met. My name is Jūryoku Yusei. And you are...?"

The merchant ships that were expecting them had a gangplank extended downwards, and a woman in linen robes standing at the top, blocking the sun.  Two other ships were docked, waiting for the two(?) shinobi to board the ship. Yusei blinked, eyes scanning the beach for a third face to show himself. "Is that everyone...?" He slowly perked up, fixing his posture and folding his arms.

Those eyes fell half-lidded again, and he slowly walked up the plank, gesturing for the captain to stand aside, so he could "eat" as much sunlight as possible. Following this, he stood with his back to the mast, posted up with his arms folded and a leg like a kickstand. It'd be some time before their trade route intersected with pirates.

"In either case. We should be more than enough."

Lately things have been going completely differently for the renowned kunoichi. Since returning to the village, she often found herself leading more and more missions, which was fine in itself, however the problem arose when most of her missions were simple D and C rank affairs. She sighed gently, resting herself up against the wall of her vessel expecting the arrival of the Kusagakure nin, Yusei.

Not too much impressed with his entrance, the ravenette gently closed the pages of her novel and turned her attention to the off-white haired man standing before her. "Tch.” She’d suck her teeth at the question of her identity. The girl knew that she was a worldwide figure, so she was uncertain if the Kusagakure was simply trying to piss her off or perhaps he’d lived underneath a rock for most of his shinobi career. Regardless, the ravenette continued on with her novel, hues of darkness scanning the pages line by line. "Kazui-San..All of the cargo is loaded onboard. We’ll be ready to set sail here in a second!” One of the captains called out to the chunin from across the way. And with a nod, she’d turn her attention back to the Kusagakure shinobi.

"We were supposed to have another set of hands to help out but I haven’t heard much from them. However we definitely don’t have time to stand around so..I think we should be enough.”

Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess and use to its complete and full potential when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Those who met her gaze will find themselves under her spell before they can even realize what happened.

Tiny Dancer - Elusiveness
Kazui is one quick girl, which isn’t hard to tell. Thanks to her training, the girl has amazing agility and reflexes that allow her to keep herself out of harms way. Even without her sharingan being active, Kazui possesses sharp perceptive abilities and reflexes that allows her to become an escape artist of some sort as well as a complete nuisance to those trying to fight her. The girl’s reaction speed is superb and not to be taken lightly as it is, however, when the dojutsu is active, taking into account the girl’s great speed and adding her keen reflexes into the mix, it’s capabilities are much more potent and useful to the Uchiha. With this, not only is Kazui capable of keeping track of even the most renowned speediest opponents and attacks, the girl is able to keep up with, and react to them as well with relative ease.

Wake Up To Reality - KME Genjutsu Prowess
As an Uchiha it is believed that Kazui and many of her clanmen were born with a natural affinity for the art of genjutsu, but of course none of it can ever come to fruition if there is no effort placed behind it. However, since she was constantly reminded by those around her about that fact, the girl began to focus on the art more than ever before.

Although her illusions do become much more elaborate, less flawed in a certain sense, and stronger, the true results come more in the form of defending herself against genjutsu. Her vast knowledge of the art as well as her training and extremely high sensory capabilities allow for the Uchiha’s escape efforts to be significantly stronger than it normally is, allowing her to free herself from genjutsu up to 1 rank above what she is typically capable of via the special ability granted to the Uchiha with The Sharingan’s genjutsu escape. It should be noted however that genjutsu reversal does not receive any additional boosts from this ability.

Sleight of Hand - Seals Master
As Kazui grew older and gained more experience and familiarity with the ninja arts, the girl’s chakra control had essentially been mastered along with her speed and accuracy with forming hand-seals. Countless of hours spent training, learning, and even creating new jutsu has made the girl grow familiar with every seal needed to perform any jutsu, every motion for every combination, her body absorbed and memorized - allowing her to flow through the motions with no given thought or effort. Her speed with forming these seals is insanely quick and precise, she’s even capable of stringing together the lengthiest combinations of hand seals and casting jutsu faster than most can even dream of keeping up with, making it appear as if she hadn’t even tried to use any hand-seals to begin with. Her vast knowledge and familiarity with sealing in addition to her refined chakra control has lead her to being able to utilize only a single hand to form a seal as well, though she only does this under certain circumstances.

Reiashi had been assigned his current mission whilst about on another mission, having received the update through a messenger hawk- a rare sight outside of sunagakure. Pirates were acting up yet again, attacking various mercantile vessels for their own benefit. Such situations were caused by numerous problems ranging from the availability of actual jobs, the economy, to discrimination- so many that is both impossible and impractical to combat them all at once. It was for this reason Reiashi was glad he had been suddenly rerouted from his return home, even with the awareness that this would remove what little downtime he had between returning to Konohagakure and the next batch of students he'd have to oversee. If it meant Reiashi was able to prevent this from instantaneously launching into a military operation, it would be worth the personal sacrifices.

The arrival of the message was fortunate, given that Reiashi was a mere day's travel away from the port town they were to meet at. By the time the others had arrived the white haired shinobi would have been socializing with the crew for a total of four days. It was a charming experience to say the least, as life on the sea tended to produce either colorful or muted personalities. Before the third day had ended, Reiashi had become almost indistinguishable from the other sailors, even having abandoned his usual attire in favor for a more loose fitting green shirt and bandana, the fabric's dark complexion blending well with the dark brown slops he now wore.

The red armed shinobi's adventure in miniature was a breath of fresh air for Reiashi, having spent well over a year of his life struggling to balance his duties as a member of the Barrier Corps and the Head Academy Instructor. Almost every waking moment of his life had been filled with tedious busywork and emergency responses. The young shinobi was more than happy to contribute, honored to be a member of the Barrier Corps and loving every moment he helped the academy students find their own path. Such work however kept him from engaging in his more social habits, as it was hard to truly connect with a child on their world view; merely to connect himself to how he used to feel. Here with those who knew struggle and the pain of putting a job before their lives outside of work, Reiashi was surrounded by men and women he could truly empathize with. Such bonds encouraged the strange looking shinobi to put his all into helping the crew, having spent the last several hours below deck; assisting both in carrying and sorting supplies- whilst also giving rough estimates of the supplies they possessed.

The merchant ships, impressive but not what you'd call massive, slowly raised their anchors. Reiashi's crew below-deck continued their idle chatter, all the while going about the tasks assigned to them. His help in counting the goods they were transporting-- the seeds and fertilizer to bolster the neighboring Frost Country's temperamental agriculture- was sorely needed. While they had the nearby Kumogakure to rely on, they could only do so much.

Yusei blinked. Kazui looked like she was put off by his apparent ignorance. Her "do you know who I am" could at best be countered by "do you know who my family is" so he had to concede here. He could just barely put two and two together there. "...I'm just kidding. I've heard of you, Kazui."

Frankly, he was the unknown here, the x-factor. Yusei slowly got up from leaning on the mast, sauntering over and leaning on the guardrail, the sea right under him. The thought of home struck Yusei right away. He could be hassling Atagi right now. As this sunk in, he opted to glance aside, flinging the question he asked himself at Kazui to avoid answering it himself. "...Has work taken you away from home often? I'll admit; the most time I spent away was moving through Konoha to get here." From posturing to boyish homesickness.

The crew on the outermost walls, about the same levels as Reiashi, were relegating to rowing until the sails caught wind. As soon as the winds that skimmed the waves pushed the sails, that rowing crew got to set their oars aside and catch a break. The candlelit walls glowed a sickly orange. The ships finally broke the shore, setting sail towards Frost Country. Gulls occasionally sailed overhead, off in the distance.

While she was indeed a rather well known figure, the alias that accompanied her fame was often taken with distaste more than anything. Kazui of the Sharingan. To her she didn’t need it, her mind was what truly made her deadly and the kekkai genkai bestowed upon her due to her lineage was simply just a tool to aid her in such regards. Regardless, she wasn’t particularly upset at Yusei, the ravenette was aggravated with the type of missions she had been getting lately. Overqualified was an understatement, yet she was aware that she needed to work her way back into true active duty within her village. Sigh.

Brushing over the correction and apology, Kazui looked towards Yusei and shrugged. "You can say that, I suppose. Honestly, I’ve been all over, and outside of Nohara no kuni I don’t see many places competing with Hi no Kuni.” The ravenette explained, running a hand through her strands of long black hair. It may have been her biases talking, but she believed that to be 100% the truth. "I would suggest when you get the time or the opportunity, to take a trip to a few other countries.” Her tone was as bland and uninterested as ever, but those who knew Kazui were aware that she meant good. "It’s good to explore the world, Yusei.” Her explorative journey in particular wasn’t exactly one that she wanted to partake in and in no way shape or form was it a vacation. Being a rogue shinobi was no fun, despite all the freedom it allowed her. Her tenure outside of Konoha was strictly business.

With the crew rowing and rowing until a gust of wind caught sail, Kazui watched as the ship began to leave from the port and their journey was officially on the way. Which meant they were now on the clock, so..

"Are you kidding me..” She voiced in a tone that may have caused Yusei to assume the girl was talking to her, but that wasn’t the case. Facepalming in an annoyed fashion, Kazui began to shake her head from side to side while continuing to bury her face into her hands.

Kazui is one quick girl, which isn’t hard to tell. Thanks to her training, the girl has amazing agility and reflexes that allow her to keep herself out of harms way. Even without her sharingan being active, Kazui possesses sharp perceptive abilities and reflexes that allows her to become an escape artist of some sort as well as a complete nuisance to those trying to fight her. As an Uchiha it is believed that Kazui and many of her clanmen were born with a natural affinity for the art of genjutsu, but of course none of it can ever come to fruition if there is no effort placed behind it. However, since she was constantly reminded by those around her about that fact, the girl began to focus on the art more than ever before.

Although her illusions do become much more elaborate, less flawed in a certain sense, and stronger, the true results come more in the form of defending herself against genjutsu. Her vast knowledge of the art as well as her training and extremely high sensory capabilities allow for the Uchiha’s escape efforts to be significantly stronger than it normally is, allowing her to free herself from genjutsu up to 1 rank above what she is typically capable of via the special ability granted to the Uchiha with The Sharingan’s genjutsu escape. It should be noted however that genjutsu reversal does not receive any additional boosts from this ability.

By the time the ships had set sail, Reiashi and the others had finally finished both stowing and stocking of supplies, which meant it was time to move to the deck and continue the manual labor. With a large group of chuckling sailors could be heard as Reiashi emerged; white hair and red tattoos contrasting against a forest green and dark brown outfit. Shielding his eyes from the rays of the sun, the eldest of the various young shinobi would look towards the captain, bringing her a decent sized clipboard containing various details on the current inventory. The weight and various crates of various goods, current supplies for the journey- and most importantly; patterns among the targets of these various shipments. Once dismissed, the Gure would give a small bow before returning to the deck, quickly grabbing a mop as he began to move about with the others.

A few seconds of silence would go by as various members of the crew got to work, and soon the group fell into a certain rhythm. I've wanted to do this for years. With a sharp whistle, Reiashi would begin to set a tune as he kept cleaning. As others fell into the tune, the white haired Uzumaki began to sing.

With that, the crew fell into a synchronized movement- even those who did not join subconsciously falling to the pace the others moved at. Lively and composed, Reiashi would seem ignorant of his surroundings he belted out every second line. An ear to ear smile on his face, the Konohagakure shinobi enjoyed the group activity, finding it kept the monotonous and repetitive work they all underwent moved a bit faster. By the time the one and a half minute song was over, Reiashi felt the deck was near spotless- which was all one could hope for on the high seas. So with a small grin that showed his satisfaction in his own preformance, the silver eyed man would take in his surroundings, his posture ever proper as he gazed about the ship. As his eyes fell upon a familiar figure however, that smile quickly returned. Slowly approaching the ravenette, the white haired lovebird would give a polite bow. "Good to see you Kazui. I was not aware you would be the one I'm assisting. Sorry for not coming to see you sooner."

The ships trailed off, gently rocking along the surface of the water. Clouds hung overhead, but otherwise it was sunny out. The ship's captain went behind the mast, up onto a raised platform to confer with someone holding a map and a sextant.

Her disinterested look belied something he'd thought for a while, but hadn't a person to say it to. Yusei leaned back, head over the water. The breeze tousled his thick, off-white hair. His expression was every bit as flat and nonchalant as her tone of voice. "...Feel free to go right back to Konoha when we're done. This might be the perfect opportunity for me to get out more."

Then, Kazui seemed to notice him before it happened. Yusei raised a brow, before Reiashi came up from below deck. He approached, well, Kazui. "...It's nice to have you aboard. I was scared you'd bailed on us." Scared, with a bored look on his face.

The ships going up north sailed off until the coast was out of sight. The captain of the ship they were on strolled down to the main deck, having concluded her meeting. The tallish woman looked down at them, arms folded. Her linen robes wavered in the breeze. She had a scar across the bridge of her nose, and very intense features; a sideways glance at Yusei slouching straightened him out.

"As you may have read in the request: Pirates have been getting more common, following trade routes opening, and more communication between allied villages." She said, glancing at Reiashi. Was he... He looked like the others below-deck. 

"They tend to be older, smaller boats waving a merchant ship's flags. They target anything larger that doesn't look well armed, or like it's military owned. You'll be expecting a boarding party. They only use cannons as a last resort, on the offchance they make you surrender and seize the ship."

Pulling her face from her hands and exhaling, Kazui looks back over towards Yusei - briefly responding to the mention of him getting out more. "Definitely.” She voiced with a gentle nod of her head. "Let’s just try to handle these pirates as swiftly as possible..” Kazui mentioned, and as she did so Reiashi finally made his appearance amongst the two other shinobi. She flashed a faint and quick smile before promptly retracting it and turning herself slightly away from the Uzumaki. "It is nice to have you on board, Torashi. I assume that you’re the partner who was given to Yusei and I?” Gesturing towards the Kusagakure shinobi her voice remained soft as she spoke, patting the seat beside her for the man to join sitting alongside her and Yusei.

A ton of questions filled her head, mostly of his theatrics and wardrobe as well. She wanted to laugh but decided to remain focused for the sake of the mission. The captain of the ship soon made her entrance and it was nothing short of telling - she seemed very experienced and very serious. The woman towered over Yusei and Kazui both as she explained the tendencies of the pirates and how they all seemed to operate when there was a target in their sights. The ravenette folded her arms and gave a nod. "Hai.” Keeping mental note of the information given, the ravenette looked up towards the captain. Her hands gently placed over her chin as if she were deeply in thought. "How many ships do you believe the pirates are responsible for taking down?” She asked, hoping to gather a bit more information on what they were up against.

"Surely if you all are requesting help from shinobi then it has to be of growing concern.” The teen added on. These pirates were probably fierce in their approach, truly unforgiving to those onboard.

This ability allows the user to find, sense, and track individuals through their chakra over vast range that exceeds ten kilometers. This is done by focusing and opening the mind's eye, though due to the low chakra cost many users keep it active often. The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including the user, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, the user can perceive its location and movement with great detail.

Little Know It All - Extreme Intelligence
It was no secret that Kazui was regarded as a scholar when she was in the academy. One of the smartest in her class, the Uchiha often found herself correcting and/or helping out people older than herself. Many considered her very intellectual then, but that was just only the surface of her potential. Now, the girl is regarded as a genius, her IQ is nothing to be taken lightly or to be taken for granted, even as a young chunin. The teen possesses amazing mental capacity, is able to concentrate flawlessly even in the heat of battle, can calculate things in her head with great speed, and is able to remember many things with perfect recollection, even if it’s just useless information that is meant to be disregarded. In addition to that, Kazui is very deductive, competent, and witted. Her mind is the most dangerous weapon she possesses for many reasons. The girl is highly alert, aware, and very analytical, and she is also very ingenious and is capable of thinking outside of the box as well. Not only is she capable of reading, analyzing, and breaking down a person’s fighting style, but she can also determine what kind of person they are just by the way they speak, the way they carry themselves, and their thoughts on certain things. While doing this, it’s incredibly difficult to deceive the girl, especially if one is not skilled in the art of deception. Furthermore, Kazui can formulate numerous plans to certain situations in mere seconds. She thinks 10 steps ahead, and always has a back up plan just incase.

Gone In The Wind - Blistering Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

The Minimalist - Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: Two Tomoe Sharingan
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess and use to its complete and full potential when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Two tomoe grants the user the eye of hypnotism, while in turn increasing the previous abilities that the ‘Eye of Insight’ grants. The girl’s precognition and perception is heightened well beyond what’s achievable by even the most skilled and elite shinobi, allowing her more of a predictive insight on her opponent as well as the world around her. In terms of her being able to track extremely fast objects and people alike, the eye also allows a natural reactive ability that helps her respond more accurately than a single tomoe could ever allow. As for the ability to see chakra, with a second tomoe the smallest and most faint sources of chakra can easily be spotted by the eye without any issue at all. Assigning color and analyzing the flow of the chakra, Kazui can tell which nature is going to be used as well as where the chakra will be coming from.

The Eye of Hypnotism on the other hand is much different than the previous eye, it allows the girl the ability to cast and break genjutsu with no issue at all, in a way only the Uchiha are capable of. Within a few moments of Kazui's interact, Reiashi had remembered how his oldest friend behaved on missions. With that, the overly friendly shinobi would retreat back to a respectful stance, hands folded behind his back as he returned to a more polite version of himself. Still, he had managed to get the briefest of smiles, even if he was likely the only one to notice given Kazui's self control. With a polite smile, the white haired chuunin would bow towards the Kusagakure shinobi. "Yes, I was caught on my way back to the village from another mission- so I decided to spend the last few days working alongside the crew. My apologies, I should have left some form of notice for you."

Once he finished apologizing, the white haired shinobi would sit next to the trio, hands now resting in his lap as he brace himself straight against the side of the ship. As the captain came down to view the trio, Reiashi would take a step outside of that comfort Kazui gave him, analyzing the captain as they spoke. Reiashi had a bit more context than his fellow shinobi- even if he currently had no visual communication to reveal that he was one. His time with the boisterous shipmates gave him plenty of second hand tales of the captain. Straight laced, stubborn, strong willed and demanding were her supposed stand out traits. Traits which were confirmed by her current stature. She chose to debrief us as soon as she finished discussing plans with the second in command, she doesn't like to waste time and is to the point. The exaggeration of the already notable height difference between her and my temporary squad mates is accidental, but has not gone unnoticed. She knows this is enough to remind us that the ship is hers, and does not feel the need to command the shinobi. Confidence and self awareness. Her gaze is lingering on me, she's unsure if I'm slacking off, or if I am a shinobi. Which ever assumption she makes I'll likely end up playing along with, when the pirates show it is better to pretend there are no shinobi on board- that will be the test of their character.

She was experienced, dependable, and no nonsense- a perfect contrast to her more rowdy crew. The young Uzumaki was satisfied with how this was shaping up, content to sit on the sidelines as the other two chuunin asked the captain questions as he played the part of plucky sailor. This is quite the fun trap. I'll have to explain it to Kazui later, assuming there is time.
