[Kita Isamu]

The days had seemed so dull, recently. Same old missions, same old bars, same old people. It was all so boring. But, there was a chance at salvation yet. Well, from the boredom at least. Nobody was delusional enough to think that he was going to whatever form of heaven existed when he died.

He’d received a summons, and that summons had piqued his curiosity. Sure, he was probably the closest the village had to a sealing master, but it was rare for him to be called in in person. Luckily, it was not the kage who had called him in, but the head of the guardian corps. He could only assume the corps needed his sealing expertise for something. However, anything that had him coming in personally, was sure to be more interesting than his standard ANBU missions and occasional guard duties. A change of pace would be a nice change from the monotony his life had taken on recently.

Checking his seals to ensure that he had all of his weapons on him, he stepped out of his apartment to make his way to where he needed to go. Not that it would take him very long, the man reflected. He didn’t bother with walking like a normal person, taking to the rooftops and the rocky cliffs surrounding the village to make it to his destination. He encountered nobody on the way over, answering the summons with the kind of speed he usually reserved for direct summons from the kage. ANBU agent Yokai was nothing if not punctual. Isamu was less so, but in this case he actually wanted to see what was going on. So he moved, and he moved fast, making it to the very building he’d been summoned to in record time. Showing the summons at the door, and allowing himself to be searched, Isamu waited patiently for the okay to head into the meeting room.
