As the exercise continued, Chisai would take on the experience. She felt the exhilaration running through her blood, heart beating like a war drum that reached to her ears, the rivulets of sweat that ran down her skin and evaporated at the heightened warmth of her flesh, the delightful burning of her muscles as she dodged, weaved and waved from the strikes of her opponents. The very feeling of triumph that she would feel as a hit landed, a block was made or a parried. The scent of ash about her and around her training partners.

In short, Chisai loved every second of it. As her opponents would raise to their feet with effort and a look of apprehension of continuing with the exercise. A quick smile settled on her lips as lilac eyes went from one opponent to the next. She flexed the fingers of both hands, making and unmaking fists as she awaited for them to come, counting five of them, all taking a step back as uncertainty had taken hold of their heart and with that, Chisai deemed whatever training to be finished.

"That will be enough." The Lioness said, with some disappointment, bringing her hands together as she would bow to her training partners. Still, she wasn't done. Not out of a sense to show that she was the strongest, but simply that she had not quenched that thirst of combat just yet. It was in her blood, her kind had always been warriors in the frontline, shock troopers of the greatest caliber that had made their entire culture into the pursuit of war and honor. She would turn to the gallery of the training field, gaging interest. "Is there no one else?" Chisai asked, pacing like a lioness poised to jump from the long grass.

The Jounin Hanchou had taken to the training field. Taka, chronically private, most often visited the training field in the moonlit hours on his own; it was rare that he sought out these more public spectacles, and indeed it was pure coincidence that he passed by the field at midday, when Hono Chisai was taking on whichever shinobi would face her and dominating. She was an impressive sight: tall and strong with a powerful physique, evidence of hard work and love of battle written clear into her flesh. Taka, though he was of a height with her, felt small and slight in comparison; he was lithe and slender where she was stocky and powerful, and he felt certain that she would pulverize him in an instant were she to get his hands on him. Taka was not fond of conflict, but he would be a fool to pass up an opportunity like this when it was so cleanly presented to him. Deftly weaving through the crowd of onlookers, Taka stepped into the ring, held his fist in his hand and bowed in deference to both the sparring ring and his superior officer. "Honō-sama,” he said, soft-spoken, yet clear and firm in his willingness to step up to the challenge. "If you’re willing.”

Only one came forward. A man that deftly dodged the crowd as if they had been static objects. He was barely taller than her and slightly heavier if she had to guess. But his appearance gave him a look of someone that could've been knocked from his feet by a stiff breeze, in fact she could say that she had seen stalks of corn with studier physiques. But a lifetime of battle had taught her that physical appearance had little to do with combat ability. When no one else came, the Lioness would then grin for the man's bravery.

"I'll take you then!" Chisai spoke, pointing at the man with grin, feeling the fire of battle being stoked within her. "Allow me a moment however." She said, before snapping her fingers as one of her attendants would toss her a bottle of water, which she caught without looking, taking a moment to drink a couple of gulps before she tossed back to her kin once more, releasing a sigh, before setting her gaze of lilac starlight on the man, taken a few steps forward as her boots crushed pebbles, turning them to further sand.

Hitting her fist together, the heat around her that had faded slightly began to increase once more, dust flew from around her feet. Her hands lowered, a fist became undone as she flexed the fingers of her hand and followed ritual making the sign of confrontation and waiting for her opponent to do the same so the two would begin. Her muscles tensed in anticipation for her to jump into action, her eyes fixed on the man as time seemed to stretched until would return the gesture and the two could exchange blows. That, was perhaps the most acheful moment of the entire fight, the waiting. "But first... Tell me your name, brave one." She added.

Taka nodded, patient and unwavering, as Chisai took the opportunity to rehydrate and rest. Though he was overwhelmingly certain that she would best him in truly any combat scenario, there was still a part of him that felt guilty for stepping up after she’d already been training for some length of time, as though he were cheating in some way. "Kisei Takato,” he said softly when she asked. "Tokujo, ops team nine.” That was his official position, anyway; if anyone was likely to know what ops team nine translated to on the back end, it would be the jounin hanchou. Once she was ready he matched her movements, familiar with the ceremonial song-and-dance that accompanied these kinds of public spars. Taka was unused to being the center of attention, but he took some solace in the knowledge that in this ring, spectators’ eyes were not being drawn to him. Chisai was like flame and starlight, Takato a slender shadow in her wake. But then it was time to begin. Rather than pressing an immediate offensive, Taka weaved two handseals and pressed his hands against the ground, the kanji for earth imprinting itself into the dirt; then he quickly back-stepped, trying to put some distance between himself and the human wrecking ball he’d stepped into the ring with.

A simple seal trick the user draws a seal on a non-living surface in the form of the symbol for Earth, performing two handseals the fuinjutsu becomes active. By focusing on the seal when in danger and clapping the user bursts the seal creating a mostly harmless blast dirt and dust from the placed location within a [5 meter] cone facing out from the seal's front. While not harmful, it creates an effective elemental 'smokescreen' that focuses on the natural reaction to recoil. Being earth specifically, this seal is especially effective at potentially blinding getting others to close their eyes rather than hiding an area.

"Oh, squad nine huh?" The Lioness would reply, a sly smirk plastered on her lips at the implication of that 'official' designation. It was rare to spar with someone of his ilk, enough to wonder what sort of abilities he had at his disposal. After all, even if she understood the face behind these designations, she wasn't exactly privy of all its members. Still a chance for a spar was a chance for a spar and she wasn't known to waste these opportunities when they willingly presented themselves to her. As the crowd around them watched and held their breath she would take her first step.

As she moved forward, bringing fists together and the heat around her increased. Her skin turned paler, tiny bright cracks appearing on her flawless skin, her eyes changed from the usual lilac starlight to bright flame red. Her mane turned from spun gold to bright starlight and her breath became ash as she exhaled. She looked at the man as he would make her retreat, leaving a seal of some sort as if he were trying to buy some time before some impending doom. It was smart, defense would not slay an enemy but it could hold them back, hoping for a better outcome.

Chisai took a first step and the a second, leaving glass as footprints. Her eyes were locked on the man, her features leaving the joyfulness of just a mere moments before, replaced by calculated fury. And then she would become a bright blur, charging towards the man as she would weave a set of sign before crossing her arms before her chest like as if she was a living battering ram, seeking to shorten the distance between herself and her opponent.

With this activated the excellerated body heat causes the user's heart to pump faster, circulating blood faster. The result is that the user's natural quickness and agility is three times better than what is originally was, this helps the body move at a faster pace. Due to unaccustomed body conditions this technique taxes the user's stamina greatly, and draws deeply on their chakra pool. Overexertion and overuse can cause the technique to fail and the user to pass out from exhaustion.

Yōton Mastery
One of the few of the Honō clan to manifest the Kekkei Genkai, Chisai is truly a master of Yōton. By combining Katon and Doton she can create either utilitarian, defensive or offensive techniques either subtle or of great magnitude and powe. Either as defensive rubber, blinding ash, acidly quicklime or molten rocks it is her inventive approach that makes her formidable at the use of this element, making her able to burn all creation on sight to ashes.


High Chakra Reserves
Like most members of her clan, Chisai was blessed with powerful and ample chakra reserves. While this makes her control less than perfect, she compensates this with the ability to produce more attacks in a rapid succession without tiring herself so quickly making her capable of battling without much worry of her reserves during a heated encounter.

It only took a moment for Taka to realize that he was in deep, deep shit, and that he never wanted to be on the receiving end of Chisai’s actual fury. She lit up like a force of nature, the ground turning to glass beneath her molten hot feet as she took one step, another step, and then blitzed towards Taka so fast that he barely had time to react. He focused on the seal he’d laid down and clapped once, attempting to twist out of the way of Chisai’s aggressive charge with a deft bit of footwork. While the seal released, blasting dirt and dust into Chisai’s face as she barrelled through it, Taka was not fast enough to get out of her way, and nearly a full six feet of raging lava woman clipped him directly in the shoulder and flank as he tried once again to retreat. It hurt like hell, the left side of his clothes singed and smoking, burns already starting to blister and swell on his arm and hip; but Taka was nothing if not persistent, and so he remained standing in a defensive stance, his keen dark gaze searching both Chisai and the arena for any opportunity he might have to press the offensive.

This is only attacks in an immediate vicinity(three meters) anything else is too big an attack. Usually Taijutsu, but sometimes this technique is effective against close-range ninjutsu.

The Lioness struck first, her assault not managing to blitz the man but rather just give him a glancing strike that she was sure he had done his best to avoid the hit. The blonde would press her fit down, her momentum arresting as the head made glass under her feet, skidding on the soil until she stopped and sought to find her target in the billowing storm of dust. But even through the dust, she could see the faint glimmer of cinder clothing, pick the scent of burnt fabric. He had gained distance, seeking to buy time in case he could find an opening.

It wouldn't work. She knew it and thus she needed to keep the pressure on. Either the man would use his skills, hidden behind the moniker of a squad that only existed in paper or he would begin to capitulate without actually fighting. She keep her eyes on the man, or at least a location where she thought he might be. Hands came together once more, her chakra flaring ever more brightly as she would finish the hand sign and suddenly a geyser of lava would engulf her figure, the earth swallowing her before the geyser disappeared.

For a brief moment silence remained in the training field. Then the soil began to quake violently and the geyser violently erupted close, shining a light through the dust as from it, the Flame of the West would emerge, golden mane shining, eyes locked on where Takatō stood, careening towards him as he began to pull her arm, before she would descent like a meteor, punching the ground, her strength magnified by her gauntlet, the soil rapturing as a shockwave would ensue.

NAME: Yōton: Funkage Dansu [Lava Release: Erupting Shadow Dance]

This technique operates as a advanced form of the body flicker technique. After performing the needed hand seals a small fissure quickly splits the ground under the user. A mass of lava emerges from the ground overtaking the user. Once the small scale eruption subsides another one occurs within ten meters away. This technique is normally used to flank an opponent or for evasive measures as the user emerges from the second fissure.

Chisai was fast—too fast, and her offensive strategy was utterly overwhelming. Though he was hidden within his dust cloud, he knew that would only last for a precious second more before she continued the barrage of attacks. Laval erupted, heat blistering across his face and hands as he shielded himself from the sudden flare of Yoton chakra; Chisai had disappeared, and silence reigned for a long, heavy moment. He used the brief opportunity to weave a handseal, producing two shadow clones that dispersed to the far edges of the arena in preparation for whatever Chisai had in store. Then another eruption surged up from Taka’s flank and Chisai shot up into the air, golden as the sun, before descending to punch the ground with a heavy shockwave that fully knocked Taka off his feet and to the ground. One of the shadow clones immediately dissipated, but the other was mercifully far enough away from the blast radius, and channeled a thin layer of chakra to his hands in preparation to launch an offense. While Taka scrambled to his feet, singed and dusty, the shadow clone rabbit-walked to Chisai’s flank and attempted a single downward chop to her shoulder—purposefully avoiding any vitals, not wishing to cause her any genuine injury should the attack actually land.

At this level, the user is capable to cut through most objects such as wood and stone, and however it cannot cut through metal.

Killing blow created with the sole intent of maiming or ending the life of an opponent. After forming a 'knife hand' the user brings it down on a target's vital area with immense speed and power. The precision of this strike will dictate its lethality. While normally aimed at the neck the user may target the kidneys, groin, head, ribs, or other vital spot although the throat and area around the collarbone seems the ideal target. Due to the force of this attack the user has a chance to damage their hand if used repeatedly. Small fractures of even complete breaks of the hand can occur if used back-to-back. Though the technique is forceful enough to smash through hard surfaces and armor, this risk only compounds if used against them.

A long exhale of ash escaped her lips as she rose her height, the scene before her being one of utter devastation, localized to a tiny part of the village, the sand beneath her feet turned into glass, breaking with each step. Eyes of lilac starlight turned into twin golden suns, shooting ahead at her sparring partner. The lioness had seen the shapes of three men with the exact same build. One had flew into the settling cloud of dust and ash, another had exploded into a push of white haze. As the shattering of earth dimmed, and the sound of excited spectators died down, she placed her attention to her surroundings.

Her eyes looking raising to meet the shape of Takato, hopping to gain momentum, fingers extended into the beginning to a shopping motion. A smirk would appear on her lips, content that at last he was making an attack of her own, the lioness turned, arm raised to meet the strike as descending chop met against master craft steel. The flesh or facsimile of it clanked against the gauntlet, and quickly as it did, the gauntlet shone with a light of its own, the corposant of golden flames emerged from the relic, streams of flame would begin their ascend to the flesh and cloak of the facsimile, until the blond would swat it away, attempting to send the doppelganger away.

Chisai's hand came to rest on her hips, her expression unreadable as he surveyed the training yard, her gaze settling on the on him as he tried to reincorporate himself to his feet. He was skilled, that was for certain, but he had been reactive so far. In truth she didn't had any intention to slow down, hands would come together as she would take in the ashy air, her chakra mixing within her as the arcane alchemy of her genes activated, pressing her lips she would then release rivulets of molten rock, searing the air as they threatened to strike the man.

Taka was a planner by nature. When left to his own devices he preferred to wait silent in the shadows and observe, tracking movements and collecting data so that he, and the far more impressive strategic minds of Ichi and his ilk, could come up with as flawless a plan as they were able. Chisai was allowing him no quarter. He barely had time to catch his breath, let alone string together his scrambled thoughts enough to put together a sensible plan of attack. Her strategy, such as it was, was something of such purely overwhelming offense as to allow no room for counterattack or defense. The only rational solution, Taka thought, was to meet aggression with aggression. Chisai blocked the attack from his clone with her heavy gauntlet and flames erupted from the metal; the clone frantically twisted out of the way, batting out the fire that had caught on his sleeve and desperately trying to keep itself from being discorporated. In the meantime, Taka himself launched an offense as soon as he was steady on his feet—he stomped his foot to cast a simple genjutsu, making it appear to Chisai’s eyes that he was moving much faster than he actually was, before rabbit-walking to deftly weave between the lobbed projectiles and get back into melee with Chisai. His reflexes were not quite deft enough to be able to avoid getting splattered with lava altogether, however, and flecks of burning-hot lava were settling on his neck, shoulders, and biceps, searing with pain. Still, he persisted, and as soon as he was up close with Chisai he swung with a one-two punch, jabbing with his left before following up with a heavy cross from his right.

DESCRIPTION:

One of the most basic techniques of Jujitsu. Consisting of two sequential punches the user will first throw a small jab with their non-dominant hand to prepare for the next strike and then as they pull back instantly follow up with a snap punch from their main hand, making sure to twist their hips to gain extra power. Because of the deceptive nature of the first strike this basic but fundamental technique is great at catching opponents off guard.

The blonde seemed to continue to dominate the fight, her ranged attack as minuscule as it was, seemed to bring danger to the ANBU. Her eyes remained on him as he seemed to stomp his feet on the ground. She narrowed her eyes, for such strange action, but something changed. Where there had been indecision before now there was a resolute conviction, speed flowed through him in an unnatural manner. In fact, it was a speed that he didn't seem to posses before. She braced, as unpanicked concern dominated her mind, her eyes trying to adapt the speed that he had, yet something seemed wrong in the back of her mind. A rogue smile appeared on her lips. So he was trying after all. She thought.

So rather than dodge, she would take the hit. Her hands coming together to form a single seal. Her skin losing the ashen pallor and the fiery veins around her, instead darkening as the soil of the terrain surrounding volcanos, her flesh hardening to the temperance of granite as her hands would leave the seal and take a pugilist stance in defense. The attack was too fast for her to follow, the blonde would take the hit, the momentum budging her for a fraction of an inch as his strike connected, a hand would rise to meet the second impact, whilst another shot forward like an explosion.

Her outstretched fingers acted like a spear, as she would used a fraction of her unnatural might to strike at his shoulder rather than neck, seeking not to kill but to injure as fingers moved to deliver the disarming strike.

Description
Doton: Yari is a Ninjutsu based off of the Maisou no Jutsu of Takigakure. After forming the needed Snake handseal, the user will harden their body using the Earth Element. This provides greater defense against attack and will also strengthen their arm to increase their striking ability. Like other Doton based jutsu, it is weak against Raiton attacks. It should also be noted that this version is much, much weaker than the Taki clan's true embodiment technique.

DESCRIPTION:
Made to pierce through opponents, the user will form a four fingered nukite with their hand. Putting a spin on their strikes, the user’s hands will act like boring drills, striking hard enough to pierce their opponent’s body and damage the muscles and bone underneath. Coupled with being able to be performed in rapid succession this attack is perfect for attacking those who boast strong defenses.

Taka’s gambit succeeded, it seemed—he was able to get in melee with Chisai and deliver his attack as intended, but as fist struck flesh he felt a thundering pain rocket through his knuckles and up the length of his forearm. He heard a distinct and sickening crunch as his fist met solid stone, and his teeth clenched so hard together that he feared they might shatter. Something in his hand was fractured, that was for certain, though the extent of the damage he wouldn’t know until later. Taka persisted. Injury would not make him forfeit. Chisai caught his second strike and delivered a brutal counterattack to his shoulder, rupturing some of the tissue and tendon under his skin and rendering his arm virtually useless. He bit back a cry of pain, but it still escaped as a heavy grunt—but his mind was still spinning, trying to figure out how to turn the tide in his favor. With one arm out of commission and the other hand aching with the pain of fractured bone, it seemed unlikely that he would be able to do much—but he could, at least, extend a single finger. He channeled chakra into the tip of his finger, lurching closer into Chisai’s space and twisting his leg around hers to try to lock her in, however briefly; into the stone surface that covered the arm that had dug into his shoulder, he tried as quickly as he could to inscribe the kanji for the stone weight seal, pushing chakra into the seal to try to immobilize Chisai’s arm—and thus her ability to form handseals—in turn, putting them on slightly more even grounds.

DESCRIPTION:

An advanced version of Senkin that can be used in an offensive manner. One that requires the user to write the specific seal and weight in kanji upon the object or person of their desire. Weight is variable, anywhere from a few pounds to a ton. When placed on a persons clothes, it is possible for those to crush that person or simply render them immobile. It can also be used as an incarceration technique, if placed on the skin it will not crush but simply render immobile. The seal can be broken with a specific burst of chakra into the seal, much like water and wall walking. Though this naturally requires some knowledge on the art of Fūinjutsu [spec or SA]. The variable weight of the jutsu will increase the cost the greater the variable.

DESCRIPTION:

Chakra is released into the tip of one's finger, increasing its temperature as a small flame-like discharge is generated. This allows one to write upon almost any surface and leave a scar-like mark, working to inscribe the formula of seals or write messages if a writing utensil is not readily available.

He was persistent and at least for Chisai, she liked that in people. Even as all seemed to be an uphill battle against a force that could not be stopped, he continued to struggle. A brief smile appear as she watched him get closer to her, using his limb to keep her in place and make a single attack. Her arms was raised against the finger that threatened to poke at her. His finger would find the warm metal of her gauntlet and for a brief second nothing would happen. Eyes of starlight lilac blinked for a second as she was about to open her mouth and ask if there was something to his technique.

Words would die in her mouth as she felt her limb heavier, as if many a chain had being wrapped around the limb and was being forced down the ocean by an anchor. Her arm lowered and she looked at him, giving him a bright smile before her remaining limb shot forward, fingers would wrap around his neck as she would lift the man and simultaneously would bend her knees to carry momentum, taking a first hop to transfers all that energy she would then drive the man down with a crash into the soil.

A spider web of cracks would emerge from the site of impact as Takato would be physically buried an inch, dazed but still alive as she would've used enough restraint not to kill him. Her hand still around his throat, arm affected by his jutsu still feeling as if it warried the weight of the world, the blonde would take a knee next to the man, leaning in forward, eyes of lilac starlight fixing on his, golden locks obscuring would be obscuring his view further. "You fought well." The Lioness said in a tone between a whisper and a purr and her hold would ease gradually. "But, you should yield." Chisai offered, her hold lessened but still remaining on him.

DESCRIPTION:
A debilitating attack if any, the user will grab their opponent’s neck, either while standing still or charging at them. From there the user will squeeze down, choking their opponent to prevent them from struggling before slamming them into the earth. The attack leaves their opponent bruised, broken, and bloody, resting in a crater and most likely out of consciousness.
