As a retainer within the fake village, it had to be his responsibility as one of the true fake ninja of the real fake takigakure no sato to entertain guests and other shinobi from different villages. One such example, was today, where he had to help Takigakure with the procurement of medicinal plants.

That, obviously, was an incredibly dumb idea for a man who knew nothing about medicinal herbs: which is why they'd enlisted the help of a Yukigakure Shinobi. How a snow covered land would have helped, he did not know. But his own basic jungle training and survival training let him know what was edible in Bonchi no Kuni (even if it didn't provide him with everything he needed to know...)

He looked at it again, dismayed at what he had - oh. His eyebrows knitted for a moment. Then he burst out into a quick thrust of his hand into the air. "YEAAA-" He'd not read it properly. It was to stop it from happening. That was much better! So much more fun! The tall man was grinning to himself as he stared down at the paper, now grasping it firmly with both hands. He had been rejuvenated as it seemed summer was not yet over (a slight joke: summer never ended in the jungle)

In either sense, Hotarubi would wonder how a person from Yukigakure would suffer in the complete environmental opposite, and his direct thoughts were 'couldn't be me.' Though there was a lingering interest, he wasn't sure it would ever come to fruition even if he wanted to see the world.

There had been a point for them to meet, which he had yet to see - or identify who it was they'd be joined up with. The man lightly jogged on the spot as he waited, deep thumps made against the concrete path that kept him from sinking into the floor. Hotarubi had been initially worried, thinking that his sensory powers would have enabled him to find these things: but really? No, he didn't have the critical patience or focus to identify things at such a granular level. What he could get was -tree-mushroom-vine, but the specific type? Fuck that. Too much work and not enough information to make informed decisions.

A joint venture of its first kind for Yukigakure and Takigakure is a relatively unobtrusive one in Bonchi no Kuni. Bonchi has issues of people "over poaching" its natural funghi, mushrooms and difficult to find flora that would otherwise be used for medical purposes. Two Shinobi have been tasked to make it stop.
