Name [Translation] [Location]

APPEARANCE

Height: 6ft 2in, 1.88 meters
Weight: 218lbs, 98.9 kilograms

Tadashi has always been a striking fellow, in both his mannerism and appearance. Despite his age, he looks a bit younger than most of his peers, likely due to his Uzumaki heritage and their vitality. Tadashi is quite tall, with dark, messy, windswept hair, and dark cloudy grey eyes. His facial features are rather sharp and quite defined, giving his expressions a bit of an emphasized displeasure, regardless of how he truly feels. Like many shinobi, Tadashi works regularly to keep his physical form in top shape. While Tadashi might not train for hours on end, day after day, he maintains a strong, athletic figure, with incredibly toned muscle over his legs and torso. Though Tadashi has a litter of scars that cross his body, most notably over his chest, arms and shoulders, there is a very deep, definitive slash across his back that goes from his right shoulder to his left hip that stands out among the rest.

Attire:

Tadashi keeps his attire relatively plain and familiar. Keeping to blacks, blues, greens and greys, the shinobi can usually be found wearing a variety of different clothes when he is not on the job. At times, this can range from something as simple as slacks, a t-shirt and a jacket, to a long sleeve gi with his sleeves rolled, wrapped around the waist with a sash. Regardless of what he wears day to day, he is sure his attire will always provide him with excellent mobility, while still affording him a classic or timeless appearance Tadashi is quite fond of.

When Tadashi is working, however, he has a slightly different approach to what he wears. Firstly, he will always wear his Konohagakure headband on his arm, alternating between his left or right from day to day, tied between his shoulder and bicep. His colors tend to stay relatively dark, usualy grays, navy, or varying shades of black, with the occassional dark brown or dark green. He wears a navy colored flack vest with his clan symbol embroidered on the back, as well as black boots, linen hand wrappings, and long dark trousers with utility pouches to hold his shinobi tools.

With a stoic and introverted nature, Tadashi can be a bit harder to read for most people. Admittedly, Tadashi has never been much of a people person, despite how charismatic he can when hthe need for diplomacy arises. He has never been one to dance around the bush, or entertain much small talk, which often makes some find him rather rude. While some might find him a bit too serious or even cold at first, nearly all who get to know Tadashi would argue that he is quite easy to talk to. He has a dry sense of humor that can sometimes catch people off guard, but more importantly, when he feels comfortable around others in a social setting conversation flows much much easier for him. He has a natural magnetisism in contrast to his solemnity, and being paired with his hard-wroking and devoted attitude, Tadashi often finds himself drifting into roles of leadership or responsability.

For as far back as the man could remember, Tadashi has always had a very small group of people he would truly call his friends. He never felt it was hard to make friends, per-say, but that there have simply been very few people he felt comfortable enough around to genuinely be himself. Where conversation just flowed naturally, or that their values and ideals lined up enough to allow for him to feel like a kindred spirit. Vulnerability, however, has never come easy for him, making Tadashi quite reserved around most people. That said, the small few he allows himself to be vulnerable around are as close as any blood relative could be in his eyes. He is beyond loyal to those he is close to, more than willing to stop anything he is doing to be there for them when he feels needed.

Although Tadashi is typically more calm and collected, there are certainly times where his emotions can get the better of him. Despite what he might say to the contrary, Tadashi tends to be much more emotionally thinking. For better or worse, he has always had a "feelings are facts" type of mindset, making his emotions a bit harder to hide or process. It has never been an easy task to navigate through his thoughts and emotions, which is part of why he always tries to keep himself busy. He can dwell on past conversations or events for weeks or months at a time, playing them over and over in his head in ways he wished things would have gone. Of course, this also means that communicating his feelings has been a consistent issue for him. Often times he will think that his thoughts or feelings are stupid, selfish, or simply not worth bringing up for one reason or another. Inevitebly, though, this leads him to bottle many of these feelings, where they slowly simmer and fester until he can't control himself and he ends up lashing out at those he cares about over the most minute things, further leading to him feeling guilty and regretful of his reactions.

When it comes to his personal ethics, Tadashi values a few core principles that he often times will seek out in others. He commonly will see himself in other people, looking for tendecies of honesty, diligence, perseverance and loyalty. He himself is a hard-worker, and tends to enstill a sense of urgency in those he trains or works with.

BIOGRAPHY

A Natural Beginning | Birth - 12 [992 - 1,005]

Born into the Uzumaki clan of Konohagakure, Tadashi had a fairly typical upbringing. Both of his parents were well known throughout the village. His mother Eori worked as a scribe the late Hokage, while his father, Tenshin, was a decorated Jōnin within the village. As a child, both his mother and father expressed interest in him becoming a shinobi himself, and his father took dutifully to training his son as soon as the boy could run. His parents did everything they could to raise Tadashi to the best of their ability, and both took on separate roles in his early development. His father, a Taijutsu expert, would teach the young Uzumaki in martial arts, giving him the knowledge of not only how to defend himself and fight for others, but he also instilling in him the necessity of keeping his body in peak condition. While his father helped with physical fitness, his mother tried to cultivate a mental and spiritual fitness within the boy. After his father's mandated 4 hours of training each day, his mother would take Tadashi into the forests that surrounded the village. With her, he would learn much about the surrounding world. She would teach him about the local ecology to better understand his surroundings, the history of their village and the shinobi world, but more importantly, she would teach him about meditation and exercising his mind and spirit.

As time went by, Tadashi would strive to be the best shinobi he could be through his academy years. He wanted his mother and father to be proud of him more so than anything else and graduated near the top of his class. Unlike most Uzumaki, Tadashi had learned quickly that he did not have the extensive chakra reserves of his family heritage, but he made up for this in his physical stamina, and practiced manipulating his chakra resources for better and more efficient use of the energy. Upon his graduation, Tadashi began to feel the inflation of his pride and ego, and though he did not know it at the time, he would have much work to do on these character traits in the future if he was ever to become the Ninja he wanted to be. After receiving his headband the little superstar was given a large pat on the back, and met the Shinobi who would be his Jōnin Sensei, and was introduced to his team of fellow Genin for the first time.

Crafting of Greatness | Age 12 - 16 [1,005 - 1,009]

Riku Nara was chosen to lead squad 8, Tadashi's new team. Riku was a known Tokubetsu Jōnin of Konoha, and had even completed a handful of missions with Tadashi's own father. He was patient and practiced, and after serving four years with the village ANBU, had been wanting a break from the stress that seemed to revolve around him. However, this was only half the reason he was chosen to lead a squad of Genin. With Riku as their Sensei, squad 8 comprised of two members other Genin, and Tadashi himself. Yamanaka Natsu, a rival of Tadashi through out the academy, and Akiko Hyuuga, their designated medic. With a Nara at their head, and a Hyuuga, Yamanaka, and Uzumaki making up the team, squad 8 was a proud example of the clans loyal to Konohagakure. At first, it was hard for the group to find their rhythm. They were hot headed, argumentative, and above all, selfish. But, somewhere here Riku knew there was the makings of something great. Each child was talented in their field and had shown much promise. He just had to find a way to get the group to see eye to eye and work together. Eventually, after months of training, missions, and more than enough trial and error, Squad 8 had found their footing. Finally, they had started working as a team, and the results were better than even Riku expected. The group became nearly inseperable over the coming years, training and practicing together, spending their meals together, and even much of their leasurly time was spent in one anothers company. As the team grew and grew, the time eventually came where all of their hard work would finally be put to the test, for their next stepping stone was the Chuunin exams.

The Exams were far from an easy set of tests to complete, designed to challenge each and every participent and push them to their limits and beyond. The Chuunin Exams had 3 separate stages. The first was a written test comprised of 10 questions to be answered in an hours time. The test was not like any other, however. With this test in particular, getting the write answer did no necessarily mean success. The first stage was designed to test the genin's critical thinking. The majority of the questions on the test were far too advanced for the typical genin, and cheating was almost required for the right answer. However, most of this did not matter, for the final question was to be given in the last 15 minutes of the allotted time. Each team was given a choice to attempt and answer the final question or to forfeit. If they chose to answer the question and got the answer wrong, the Genin were told that they, and their team, would be forbidden from taking the exams ever again and could not proceed to the next round. If they chose to forfeit, they could hear the question, and still be eligible to take the exams the following year, however doing so would force them to drop out of the exams. This resulted in many teams dropping out for fear of being unable to answer the question and being stuck as genin for the rest of their lives. However, if the ninja chose to face the unknown and attempt to answer the final question, that was simply all the proctors had been looking for. With the courage to face the unknown, the teams who chose to answer the final question would ultimately move on the the next round. The fear and doubt shook him through the hour long assessment, but when the final question came about Tadashi looked to his teammates and felt a well of emotion. The trio exchanged glances as the proctor explained their last 15 minutes. With a deep breath, Tadashi could feel his fellow genin's pride diminish into next to nothing, but the Uzumaki managed faith. Though fear had gripped him and his teammates, he knew this was the time for bravery. He mustered all he could to say yes, that he would answer the final question. And as simple as that, Squad 8 moved on to the next round.

Stage 2 took place about a month later in the Forest of Death. Each team was given either a scroll of heaven or a scroll of earth, and had to make it to the central shrine in 5 days time with both scrolls. Any team able to do so would move on to the final round. How they obtained the second scroll was not explained, and so to Tadashi and his team, that meant by any means necessary. Though the trial was a difficult one, it was made to test the groups ability to work together. To act, and react, according to their needs and surroundings. Thankfully, after months of effort, Squad 8 was rather used to these combat type scenarios. The team decided on a plan to place their heaven scroll into a sealing scroll, and then created an identical seal upon two blank scrolls he had on his person. Between the three of them, the members would pass their scrolls between each other to the point where none of them knew who actually held the heaven scroll. This way, they could hide which scroll they had from other enemy teams, knowing they only had to find an earth scroll. On top of that, their plan essentially forced the group to leave none of their teammates behind and to work together to keep one another safe. Skirmish after skirmish, the team stayed together, protecting their group and working towards the center of the forest. They managed to get their second scroll and pulled the same trick they did with the first one, unknowing of who had either scroll. It was by the end of the third night that the group finally made it to the shrine with both scrolls in hand, and were finally moving on to the third and Final Stage of the exams.

With time to recoup from the second stage, it was time for Tadashi to finish the Chuunin exams. A tournament style series of one-on-one fights would determine who advanced to the rank of Chuunin, and Tadashi knew he would be one of the few who did just that. He had done nothing but trained since his team had passed stage two, and Tadashi felt more prepared than ever for the tournament. Hundreds of ninja from villages all over the continent would be watching and it was his time to shine. Plus, he had a new secret up his sleeve that he couldn't wait to show off. Firing at all cylinders, Tadashi fought his way into the final round, and low and behold, it was against this teammate Natsu Inuzuka. It wasn't fair that only one of them could advance to the rank of Chuunin, but Tadashi would not lose, no matter the cost. The match went off like fireworks, both Shinobi demonstrating their training at their highest performance. Blow after blow, the crowd cheered at their perseverance and they all sat at the edge of their seat. The genin sweat and breathed heavily as the fight grew longer, but the two genin smiled at each other with each and every passing second. Neither of them was willing to lose and it was clear to everyone who witnessed the match. The two gave their all, but it was time for Tadashi to show the world what he had been practicing. The air around him grew still and sound began to fade, all he could hear was the sound of his breath, and the beating of his heart. With the last remaining strength he could muster, Tadashi was able to show Konohagakure and every other being watching the fight that he was one of the youngest Uzumaki in history who could utilize the Adamantine Chakra Chains. Before the Inuzuka could realize what his opponent had done, it was too late. Tadashi whipped the chains around him like a whirlwind, slicing young Natsu up and down with the bladed edges produced by the chains. With shocking skill and precision, Tadashi had forced his enemy to submit. As the buzzer rang clear, naming Tadashi the victor, the chains dissipated and the young shinobi fell to his knees with tears of joy. Tadashi was a Chuunin.

After his promotion, Tadashi's father gave him a ring with a lion sigil inscribed on it. It was something Tadashi had never seen his father without, and something his father explained had been in their family for generations. With his son fully established as a Shinobi of the Leaf, it was time for both of his parents to retire to a lifestyle befitting their years of service to the village.

The Lion of the Leaf | Age 16 - 22 [1,009 - 1,013]

In the years to come, Tadashi matured more quickly than expected, doing his family and his clan proud. Around the age of 16, he took a more rooted seat with the Uzumaki, learning more and more about what the clan politics looked like within Konohagakure. He still completed missions, only now he was able to make himself known in other villages as well, volunteering himself to be a liaison for his village and make himself available for foreign affairs. Tadashi was an eager shinobi, but above all else, he felt the need to do more than just defend his home. He wanted everyone to know who he was and what he was capable of, and worked hard to make that happen. It was a year or two down the line where Tadashi also got a taste for war. Not simply fighting another shinobi, or defending a caravan on its way from one village to the next, but a true battle, defending the lives of his comrades in a strange land. It was nothing but chaos.

With a civil war happening in Kirigakure, Tadashi and a select few others had been sent to see if they could gain knowledge on what was happening in the village. Their team was lead by the current Uzumaki clan leader who went by the name of Kawai and Tadashi had been hand picked to accompany him. If possible, they were to use this war to their advantage, possibly gaining allies in the midst of the affair. As many could have guessed, their mission went awry almost as soon as they arrived. Almost immediately, their group had been compromised, and the shinobi of Kirigakure fought with tooth and nail to remove the Leaf members by any means necessary. What started as a group of twenty leaf ninja was now half that size, and the rivers ran red with blood as the group fought for their lives. This mission was a fools errand, and now Tadashi needed to get everyone to safety as quickly as he could. As they had been tracked outside of the water country Tadashi and Kawai came up with an idea to get those who remained out to safety, but it would require a distraction. With a heavy heart, Tadashi volunteered himself as that distraction. After arguing with the older man about which one of them would do it, the young ninja knew his place. His superior was not only the leader of their mission, but also the leader of his clan. Tadashi was just a chuunin trying to do his part. Who was more important? Reluctantly, Kawai agreed and allowed Tadashi to go, what they both knew was a self sacrifice for the remaining ninja's safety.

Tadashi did his job, reciting his mantra to himself. "Life before death, strength before weakness, and journey before destination." He put himself in harms way so that the others did not have to do so. He would protect those who could not protect themselves. And he would smile doing it. Tadashi's whole body shook with fear, as every other emotion imaginable ran through his head. What was to come was surely the end. But it would be worth it to save the lives of the others. He ran back to the Mist, getting the attention of every rogue and loyalist along the way, and getting them off the trail of his companions. Before he realized it, the young ninja was surrounded. He grit his teeth and roared as the fighting broke out with himself at the center of the chaos. Sweat covered his body, mixing with blood, both his own and of those around him. At this point, though, it was impossible to tell the difference. He continued to fight on willpower alone, as any Uzumaki would have done, or so he told himself. With each body that fell, it seemed two more would replace it, and he was running out of steam. His vision grew hazy as a swift blow took him across the face, though he refused to fall. With his heartbeat thudding hard in his chest, Tadashi reminded himself once more of his mantra. "Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination." He repeated it over and over and over again as his chakra chains whirled around him in a combination of bolts of lightning and streams of water. With the last of his strength, Tadashi roared, and flung his arms to the side. The adamantine chains reacted to his will, and something unfathomable seemed to happen. The form of a spectral lion became bound to his chains, and with its savageness and ferocity, Tadashi was remarkable able to fend off each and every foe that still surrounded him. The lions blows were devastating, and any who survived the encounter did so on luck alone. As the lions image faded into the mist, Tadashi's vision grew black and he collapsed to the floor. The last thing he could remember was the misty air brushing his cheeks and cooling his forehead.

Groomed for Leadership | Age 22 - 28 [1,013 - 1,019]

When the Uzumaki finally managed to open his eyes, he had no idea where he was. He was laying in a bed, bandages tightly wrapped around almost his entire body, and the window beside him was open, a warm breeze whispering through. The buildings outside seemed familiar to him, and that's when it clicked. Somehow, he was back home. He looked to his sides, noting the letter from his mother and father. He raised his arm to pick up and read the letter, and as he did so, his body screamed out in pain. Funny, he hardly remembered getting wounded and had just begun to realize how much damage he had actually taken. He smiled going over the note and placed it back among the other novelties that now cluttered the nightstand next to his bed. He leaned up trying to manage his way out of bed and looked out the window. Though everything seemed to hurt, his back had seemed in much more pain than the rest of his body. As the thought crossed his mind as to why that was, he remembered during his fight someone landed a blow slicing his back wide open. "You're lucky to be alive," a voice called out to him just as the thought was crossing his mind. He turned to see both Kawai and the Hokage himself taking up the door way. Immediately Tadashi grew rigid, not knowing what to do in the Hokage's presence, but quickly he was put at ease.

After a long conversation between the three a few things had come into light. First and foremost, Kawai had turned back after getting the remaining Leaf members to safety, and as he returned to help Tadashi, he too saw the Lion that the young ninja had somehow conjured. When he arrived at the scene, Kawai saw nothing but corpses. He walked among them in both horror and amazement before finally stumbling across Tadashi. Realizing the younger Uzumaki was still somehow breathing, Kawai rushed back to the fire country with great haste, and managed to get the young boy to safety. It now seemed Tadashi had been unconscious for almost five days, and during this time Kawai of the Uzumaki made the decision to prepare Tadashi Uzumaki to be a candidate for the next Clan leader, should he have a successful recovery and was willing to take the mantle. In addition, for his bravery, compassion, and loyalty to the Leaf and his fellow shinobi, Tadashi would be promoted to the rank of Jōnin. The experience he had gained by this time was invaluable to the Leaf Village, and given the events that had just taken place, it seemed a proper fit. Tadashi was overwhelmed. Jōnin and possibly the future leader of his clan, all by the age of 22. He nodded his head, unable to form words.

In the years that followed, Tadashi would take the title of Uzumaki clan leader in Konohagakure, continuing his work as a Shinobi. By this time, he had grown a fair deal of popularity within the village, and had taken higher ranked missions to further improve his status. He was eventually offered a position on the War Council of the village, which resulted in much of his work being oriented closer to home rather than his typical field work. Of course, he still went on missions on occassion, but he was more than happy to keep the majority of his time spent within the village as he grew older.

FIGHTING STYLE

For the most part, Tadashi does what he can to avoid confrontation, but the life of a shinobi is filled with conflict. When it comes to fighting Tadashi relies heavily on his fathering information, past experiences and training, letting his body and muscle memory do as much of the heavy lifting as he can, allowing himself to think clearly through combat. Tadashi will typically stay on the defensive at the beginning of a fight, not wanting to waste any energy while gathering as much data on his opponent as he can. The way they move, the way they fight, what abilities or forms might they rely on.

Once he feels confident in his knowledge, Tadashi then switches to the offensive. He knows his best skills lie in his Taijutsu training, so most everything he does in a fight plays to this advantage in one way or another. If his opponent allows him to, the Uzumaki will push full force against his opponents, driving forward with fists set ablaze in his signature "Sun Warrior" fighting style. Of course, if that is not the most reliable option, Tadashi can use his summons to help him close the gap, or fight from a distance atop one of his eagles.

Being an Uzumaki, however, Tadashi considers his family Hijutsu to be his trump card. He tries not to rely too much on the techniques, but when he is in a position where he must give his all, Tadashi uses his adamantine chakra chains as far more than just a weapon. He can use a seal to trap and bind his opponents in his chains, but more commonely, the man will use six chains that all extend from his back. With these chains, Tadashi has no hesitation fighting against armed opponents due to his full control over the chains, allowing them to act much more akin to fully prehensile limbs. He'll often use the chains like grappling hooks, pulling him around the battlefield in all sorts of atypical directions, letting him stay highly mobile to let himself get close enough to use his chains or taijutsu in more direct attacks, or in an effort to subdue his opponents.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

『Thread the Needle - Enhanced Chakra Control』
The Uzumaki clan are known world wide for two major things. Their Fuinjutsu, and their potent life force. While Tadashi does have the Uzumaki lineage to quicker healing, and a potentially longer life span, he was not blessed with the clans signature chakra reserves. Though the man has stamina and endurance in spades, his chakra pool is somewhat lacking compared to most of his kin. As such, Tadashi focused a good deal of his early shinobi training on the control of his chakra, allowing him to fight more consistently with fewer, more controllable ninjutsu techniques as opposed to the large, all or nothing techniques that many ninjutsu specialists seem to rely on.

『Uzumaki Liniage - Enhanced Durability and Endurance』
While he may not have been born with the impressive chakra reserves the Uzumaki are commonly known for, Tadashi most certainly is an example of the clans more potent life force. Experience has shown he is more than capable of taking a punch, or in most cases several, before he really bats an eye. Not to mention, when it comes to training, or fighting, he can be seen standing for a fair deal longer than what the majority of his peers are capable of. His physical stamina is near unrivalled among his fellow jōnin, and even his time in recovery is shorter than most. Bruises or smaller cuts, for him, heal within a day or two, while more serious injuries like broken bones or deep lascerations can heal in just a month or two. All in all, these things in tandem lead no one to question that the Uzumaki are quite the example when it comes to ones vitality.

『Force of Nature - Enhanced Strength and Speed』
Tadashi has been training in the ways of a shinobi under his father since he could begin to run, and even still, he works diligently to improve. Just like his father, the Uzumaki had a special talent in taijutsu. Thankfully, in part due to his heritage and in part to his early training, the Uzumaki has no problems when it comes to his stamina. As such, much of his training as he grew older was focused around his strength and speed. While he is likely far from the strongest or fastest of combatants, he is still easily a tier above most of his peers.

『Unchained - Adamantine Chakra Chains』

『Will of Fire - Unparalleled Tenacity』

『SA Six - Unlocked at a Later Date』

『SA Seven - Unlocked at a Later Date』
