KAGUYA HIROKO ALIAS HERE BASIC INFORMATION NAME: Kaguya Hiroko AGE: 35 GENDER: Female BIRTHDAY: September 15th VILLAGE: Kirigakure CLAN: Kaguya RANK: Jounin POSITION: Genin Team 2 OTHER ALIAS: Wild Hound of Kaguya
APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 161 cm or 5'3" WEIGHT: 49 kg or 109 lbs
Describing Hiroko in one word would be "rough." Everything about her from her messy hair to body littered with tattoos, skin holding a rougher complexion than most and a darker shade of tan, serves as evidence to her humble beginnings. Despite the fearsome reputation she's gained in her life you'll find Hiroko a fairly petite woman, with a slim and trim figure befitting her life revolving around combat and a survival of the fittest mindset. Amber eyes that appear akin to a dead fish fill Hiroko's skull, and her hair is worn in a sharp ponytail that jets off to the side of the back of her head. A dragon tattoo accompanied by clouds wraps around her right arm and covers her back. Scars litter different parts of her body, worn like war medals and kill counts with pride, most notably a large X shaped scar across her mouth which is a hidden reason as to why she wears her mask.
Her primary outfit is kept simple, with a green colored croptop covering her top over a set of sarashi binding her ample chest. Dark green hakama cover her lower body, kept fastened to her with a large brown colored rope. A large pack is worn against her lower back containing a multitude of supplies and light brown waraji cover her worn soles along with a pair of dark green tabi socks. A dark green, albeit lighter than the rest of her clothes, mask adorns her face and extends down to the top of her chest.
This is not the only outfit Hiroko wears. When in more formal settings she wears her hair down and adorns her body with a variety of kimono stylings. She may also be missing her mask if required to do so, though she opts to maintain it under most circumstances. Given she has undertaken missions involving espionage and seduction, Hiroko is also fairly talented in playing roles and, thus, may change her outfit to adhere to this.
Her forehead protector is worn tied around the rope that keeps her hakama up, specifically located at her right hip.
PERSONALITY NINDO: "It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees."
Hiroko's rough, tomboyish exterior might lead many to immediately assume that she is a brash, outspoken, and standoffish woman... and they'd be right! It is not rare to see a smile cross her lips but the smile is usually in the form of a smirk or accompanied by a particularly sarcastic comment. Hiroko comes from humble and harsh beginnings and it shows in her style of dress, and the masculine mannerisms she presents. She's crude, forgoes honorifics, sucks when it comes to anything involving formality and "upper society", and is quite the physical person. She maintains the Darwinism from the Kaguya clan's old days but has mellowed out quite a bit from what one might assume once they realize the last name that's attached to her. The Hiroko of today is a far cry from the Hiroko of yesterday, showcasing a confidence and free spirit she never had before.
A Chaotic Neutral individual, the most important thing in life for Hiroko is the concept of freedom. Once a caged bird Hiroko has allowed her wings to spread and her body to soar over the years. This has caused her to push that philosophy outward to the younger generation of Kirigakure, which while positive in that it inspires confidence has caused leadership more than a few headaches as Hiroko might as well be the Queen of Rebellious Punks. Her reputation reflects this aspect of her personality and she is well aware of what people have said about her utilizing this alias. She embraces it rather than speaking out against it, and will even invoke it during combat or during situations where she wants to utilize it for a particular purpose.
Surprising to some, behind the scenes Hiroko is also a fairly lascivious individual. Having done many missions in the past involving seduction for the purpose of assassinations and overall espionage, she is no pure flower and tends to make her interest known in fairly aggressive ways. She's a flirt but not one with any particular grace or tact, yet still won't push the issue if someone is giving off a bad vibe. To call Hiroko honorable would be the furthest from the truth but she has her own personal sense of honor and code that pushes her morals in the right direction. She isn't afraid to do bad things or be a bad woman, but she also wants to help the Kaguya clan in continuing to improve their reputation.
One final, small note about Hiroko's personality is that while her attitude toward authority is fairly low she is the most loyal hound to the Kaguya clan and anyone that's able to get close beneath her hardened heart. She is the most loyal friend you could ever have and will lay down her life for her if you get close to her, and follows the orders of her Kaguya superiors with such ferocity - and by extension the Mizukage given he fills two leadership roles with jurisdiction over her - that it's unsurprising to see her compared to a dog. She also exhibits dog-like tendencies when excited or riled up, and in very small ways here and there.
HISTORY 988 - 1001: Birth of a Mutt
Pure blood does not run within the veins of Kaguya Hiroko. Her birth was the result of a hidden tryst between her father and mother who belonged to no clan of any particular prestige. The pair wished for a different life for their daughter, one free of what Kirigakure and the Kaguya clan would push upon her. But this was not what fate would spell for Hiroko, nor was it what she wished for. The disconnect from the Kaguya meant that her life was left in squalor, frequently getting into fights with the other children of the village and holding a fierce, dark fire that burned inside of her stomach. When Hiroko was old enough to join the Academy her father aggressively forbade it and Hiroko, upset and confused, was easy to manipulate. Tracking her down and granting the promise of assisting her in joining the Academy Hiroko's uncle, Kaguya Touki, asked only one thing from the young girl: the location of her family. She handed the information over not knowing what it meant and she was soon captured once it was revealed that her parents were dead. In truth Hiroko's mother and father fled the village, taking with them a sibling she would never meet for he had yet to be born. At least, not for now.
Though Touki's connection to his brother and sister-in-law eased him out of traitor status due to revealing their whereabouts, there was still the question of Hiroko herself. Touki vouched for her, but it wasn't good enough. If she was going to be a shinobi of the Kaguya, she had to learn to think like one. To contain the spirit inside her for battle and conquest. A hunger that was so often held back, yet it's existence required finding. Full of rage, feeling betrayed and overwhelmed by an animalistic sensation Hiroko not only fought against a fellow Kaguya of the same age but came just a needle's point close to killing them. It was during this fight that Hiroko showcased her ability to utilize Shikotsumyaku, having her only weapon, a kunai knife, knocked from her hand. She could be formed, molded into a proper member of the Kaguya clan. Touki was tasked with looking after her, and look after her he did.
Hiroko's life with her uncle was more akin to acting as a servant than a human being. She did as was asked and while that fire inside of her was stoked she was kept wrapped in metaphorical chains. If it was not Touki, it was the clan or Kirigakure's rules within the Academy. The point here is that Hiroko was bound and gagged, unable to speak a word of protest or make any decision for herself. Eventually she became used to this life she was dragged into and served as a faithful clan member, continuing to showcase her talent not only for the Shikotsumyaku but also ninja arts in general. To call her a prodigy would not be too much of an understatement but she was no genius. Above average, yet not exemplary. Before long Hiroko graduated from the Academy and was placed onto a Genin team, but nothing in particular was remarkable about this period of her life, except for...
1001 - 1002: The Chuunin Exams
Brutal. Violent. Effective. Hiroko completed missions with her team swiftly and aggressively, opting for direct conflict instead of stealth tactics. Each time she would cause strife for her team trying to sneak around she was rebuked, but praised by the Kaguya clan. It was a conflict that she paid little mind to and, instead, continued to serve whoever gave her instruction. Touki was out of her life by this point, but that didn't mean Hiroko was freed. Not yet, anyways. As she entered the Chuunin Exams the knowledge portion went off regularly, failure coming close but missing by a hair. It was the combat portion of the Exams where Hiroko shined, but it also revealed a great tragedy of life. Hiroko was hardened and detached from her fellow shinobi, so it mattered little to her whether her opponents lived or died.
She did not score a kill during these fights but would cause severe injuries to her opponents, some being forced into an early retirement. She did not care what tendons were severed or what parts of bodies were removed. She was there to become a Chuunin and obtain victory. Though she gained the rank, the Kaguya's split away from Kirigakure meant that any celebration revolving around this would be short lived. It was during this time that Hiroko began to taste real combat outside of her missions, gaining even more experience and prowess with her clan's arts. Eventually, things lulled to a quiet state. Quieter than Hiroko enjoyed, for she didn't know how to process the time that she was left on her own. She was emotionally stunted and found it impossible to connect with anyone, be they from the clan or not. Many spoke behind her back of her origins and some taunted her to her face. She was a woman of dirty blood, of a tainted existence. A woman born to a traitor who ran off with an unapproved woman rather than one of arrangement. Betrothed to a weak clan, her father. Disgraceful.
1011 - 1013: The Kirigakure Civil War
Like a spring being pushed down, it was only a matter of time before Hiroko snapped and shot upward in a metaphorical sense. The triggering event would be the Kaguya's participation in the Kirigakure Civil War. Sent on the front lines, Hiroko slaughtered any opponent who dared to face her as effectively and swiftly as possible. Ground was lost by the Daimyo's forces, however, and though Hiroko was losing ground she continued to fight. In all honesty, the Kaguya clan wouldn't have minded at the time if Hiroko lost her life. It would mean she had outlived her usefulness. Upon the battlefield, however, Hiroko would face down a life changing event that would change her view upon life forever. Facing down an opponent utilizing a number of skills with a blade, Hiroko was not only defended against fairly well but nearly outclassed. It wasn't until her opponent utilized Shikotsumyaku that Hiroko stopped her assault, shocked. This gave her opponent enough time to attack with two arm bones, slashing her across the face and giving her the X shaped scar upon her mouth she has to this day.
Removing their mask the man standing before Hiroko revealed himself to be her long lost sibling, Yusuke. Someone she hadn't known during life, someone she didn't even know existed. This caused things to be turned upon their heads, as Hiroko wondered if their existence was kept from her or if the Kaguya clan truly didn't know. Information Yusuke had obtained within his line of work for Kirigakure, having come back to the village a long time ago under a new name and rising through the ranks all the way up to be an ANBU officer, revealed that the Kaguya had fabricated their intention from the very start. They did not view Hiroko's family as traitors, but instead felt slighted by Hiroko's father for speaking out against their "warmongering" ways and spitting in their faces, in their eyes anyways. Angered beyond anger, a new life was revitalized within Hiroko that caused her to lash out and engage in combat once again with her brother.
She didn't win and was defeated, but it was during this fight that Hiroko shattered the chains that had been tying her down. She did not turn her back on the Kaguya clan but instead vowed that her life was her own to control, and that she would bite the throats of anyone who dared to try and control her again. For all of her loud boasting and unbridled rage she was no match for Yusuke, but he opted not to kill her and instead brought her back to Kirigakure as a "hostage." This hostage situation did not last long as the war came to it's climax, the Kaguya clan being allowed back within Kirigakure overall but under much scrutiny. Yusuke retired from the ANBU and instead became an instructor within Kirigakure's Academy, opting to take the responsibility of keeping an eye on his sister as she returned to what remnants remained of the once prestigious and powerful Kaguya.
1014: Rampage of the Sanbi
A year after the war Hiroko had gained more missions under her belt and would showcase a ferocious and surprisingly loyalty to the Kaguya solely due to it's new matriarch and overall change in structure. Those who followed the ways of the old line of Kaguya thinking were swiftly dealt with by Hiroko, though she held herself back from outright killing them. She served the Kaguya now not as a servant but as an equal, a loyal soldier and kunoichi. Her reputation during the war and during this time, extending onward, was to be called the "Wild Hound of Kaguya", showcasing how her ferociousness in combat was counteracted by the "leash" the Kaguya held her on. They could point her somewhere and order her to attack and she would do so with awe-inspiring skill and deadliness, but never was Hiroko left to forget that she was to reign in that rage and bloodthirst when prompted.
As Kirigakure found itself under attack by the Tailed Beast, Hiroko was one of many tasked with assisting the villagers. A great tragedy befell Hiroko's life as Yusuke, her brother and last surviving family member due to the years causing her parents to pass away, lost his life protecting a group of children from the monster. Though angered and hurt by losing him, his sacrifice held a profound effect upon Hiroko. She gained a stronger attachment to the village of Kirigakure and wanted to carry on the dream and ambition her brother held. This planted the seed of Hiroko one day becoming a leader of a Genin team, and she assisted in a great deal of the rebuilding efforts due to the Sanbi's destruction laden rampage.
1023: Present Day:
Missions held under Hiroko's belt, along with her assistance during the rampage and in the reconstruction efforts, not only assisted in Hiroko being accepted and lacking scrutiny due to her Kaguya ties and vicious reputation but also granted her a promotion into the position of Jounin albeit at a fairly later age than most. Requesting to be placed as the head of a team of Genin, wishing to carry on her brother's legacy and potentially save children from living a life not unlike the one she herself had been placed under, Hiroko has just recently received her assignment and prepares to fulfill her duties just as loyally to her team as she continues to do toward her clan. Now if only she could not scare them half to death in the process...
FIGHTING STYLE Primarily a Taijutsu practitioner Hiroko prefers to be up close and personal with those she fights against. When missions require stealth she's far more capable nowadays of being quieter and using her head but she prefers the thrill of combat and to be direct against her enemies. Her entire arsenal revolves around techniques belonging to the Kaguya clan's Shikotsumyaku, with a very small handful of other abilities accredited to her elemental affinities and basic shinobi skills. She's a speed fighter rather than strength, focusing on quick hits that pile up over time and moving around constantly when engaged in combat. She prefers to fight using two bones from her arms like tanto, but is a versatile combatant beyond that primary focus.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Shikotsumyaku Literally translating to "Dead Bone Pulse" the kekkei genkai gives the genetically blessed an ability to manipulate their own skeletal structure (osteoblasts and osteoclasts) by infusing their calcium with chakra.
Users can manipulate the growth and properties of their bones as they like.
Main capabilities: - Speed of bone growth - Control over calcium deposit locations - Creation of weapons out of bones that can either protrude or be pulled out from the body entirely to be used as a hand held weapon.
Users are born with abnormal skeletal structures, with a dense layer of bone sitting underneath their skin, allowing them to easily manipulate their bones. Any bone they remove can immediately regenerate, as does the skin when it is damaged - though this healing only extends to damage created by their own kekkei genkai.
Kaguya capable of utilizing the kekkei genkai having extremely high durability when faced with physical trauma. Although it takes a bit longer for limbs to become usable again if damaged, unless the user regrows the bone with conscious effort using the Hone Saisei technique.
Users can also increase the density of created bones making them stronger than steel. This makes the created weapons very powerful, but also makes their bodies virtually indestructible; allowing them to survive massive amounts of pressure and chakra infused weapons
The bones can also be hollowed out completely.
Hiroko is a particularly capable practitioner of Shikotsumyaku, with bones slightly denser than most Kaguya clan members and with a slightly faster regeneration rate of her bones. Her bodies hardened durability is primarily what allows her to maintain capability against opponents who utilized strength against her speed, allowing her to take blows in the event she is struck more often than others in her position.
Rabid Loyalty Hiroko's fierce and rabid loyalty toward the Kaguya clan and Kirigakure have strengthened her will and resolve to the point that she is immune to any mental effects that would lead her to betray Kirigakure or the Kaguya. As a kind of "debuff" counter to this, any command she is given by the Mizukage or a Kaguya clan superior must be followed no matter what.
Enhanced Speed Through years upon years of undertaking missions and being utilized upon a war torn battlefield Hiroko has obtained speed the stuff of legends, not quite Kage level but quicker than your baseline Jounin. The trade off to this is that Hiroko's strength is below average when compared to her other Jounin assuming function on an "average" level.
Weapon Proficiency Though not a practitioner of Bukijutsu, Hiroko's utilization of Shikotsumyaku has allowed her to gain a vast amount of knowledge and skill when it comes to utilizing the weaponry born from her bones. Due to this, Hiroko does not require Bukijutsu techs to utilize Shikotsumyaku made weaponry and holds knowledge on multiple types of weaponry. Note this knowledge is, for example, simply how to use a sword like someone who isn't completely inept. This does not allow her to automatically gain Buki techs.
Wild Hound Though the Kaguya and Kirigakure superiors' orders are absolute, Hiroko is a fiercely rabid free spirit. Because of this, there is a high chance during threads that Hiroko will go against or disregard orders given to her and opt to make her own decisions.
