[Senju Kazuto]

Silence was only disrupted by the seemingly ever present tickling noise of pencils scratching paper and the echoing of his steps as he traversed one of the hallways in the academy. He had this many a time before, hearing whispers, listening to the likelihood of someone exceptional coming from the ranks that could, in theory, be groomed to join the organization. Reports always came, ready for him to give his approval or dismissal, but this time, he presumed, he wouldn't really need that. After all, he knew who he was here to observe and talk to. He entered a classroom, the instructor giving him the nod as he was already aware of his visit. Arm behind his back, the man came to meet the Senju, shaking his hand before, sharing a word in a murmur as Kazuto relayed the information to the academy instructor before the man would part away and clear his throat to call upon the student. Nara Shun." The man said, craning his neck to see where the young Nara was. "Please, come front and center." He said in a neutral tone, awaiting for the academy student to fall in and meet the two senior shinobi in front of her. Kazuto would watch as the girl would leave her sit, descending the steps into the lectern, gauging every instance and every reaction that she made. Trying to read the imperceptible details of her face. But he would keep whatever judgement to him until she would leave with him.

It had been a pretty standard day in the academy. Shun had been told she'd do her graduation assessment in just a couple days so her mind was mainly filled with excitement. It was exciting to think she'd be able to leave the academy soon and join the actual shinobi. There were so many things to think about!

Today, Shun's class was at the end of a written test on trigonometry and how it applies in battle. The Nara had finished her test already and handed it in - when Kazuto came in she was just doodling in her notebook. The teen was drawing little ninja stick figures and imagining what it might be like to go on missions.

*Oh! And then a dragon would show up!* she thought to herself as she drew a squiggly hippo-like caricature with wings and spikes on its back - the dragon. *And then we'll all blast it with some cool jutsu!* she drew a stick figure with long dark hair - her - and a beam of fire - because it had "fire” written on it - came from it towards the dragon. Other stick figures also had beams targeting the dragon.

”Hm? Suddenly, she heard her name called and looked up. To her surprise, Kazuto was in the classroom and now the Nara was summoned. She had been in her own world so she hadn't noticed him enter at all. Sometimes the girl was in her own ether. Shun also suddenly noticed half the class staring at her. *Now that's kinda intense…* she thought as she stood up, got her notebook and pencil, slid them in her shoulder bag and walked down stairs from the middle row of the lecture hall.

Coming to her teacher, she would just be motioned outside with Kazuto with no explanation. The girl peered up at the Senju as they were leaving. She wanted to ask where they were going but, surely, there would be time for that on the way. Was it the principal's office? Shun wouldn't know why though. The girl raised a brow: *As long as I'm not in trouble, it's fine.*

[Senju Kazuto]

Kazuto simply would nod to the man as Shun was presented to him. His hand resting gently on the young Nara's shoulder as he would lead her away from the interested looks of her classmates, the door closing behind them as the silence replaced the chattering of students as they traded gossip and self-made theories of why their classmate had been pulled away from the classroom. When that had died, Kazuto would turn to Shun, giving her a brief smile as he noticed her notes. "I used to dislike class too." He finally said. "I do suppose you want to do something more fulfilling?" He asked as he began to lead her away, stopping at the odd chance that she would not follow him, green eyes finding her. "Unless, of course, you wish to say here and complete your lesson." Kazuto said, giving her a chance to stay or to follow him after he had given her little explanation of what his intensions where. In many ways he preferred this way, after all, some anonymity and secrecy was necessary and a good mystery was always a good thing for new recruits, which was of course a test unto itself.
