The day for Hideo started the same every time, with his grooming procedure. Appearances were everything to the golden boy, so he would start with applying lotion across what many would assume would be the most majestic and soft skin. While the non-scarred patches were, he was indeed adorned with the amount of scars appropriate for a Jounin. Despite having a pristine face, lacking any blemishes, his body, which was astutely covered at all times, was different. A canvass of what it means to be a shinobi. As he felt the memories surge like static through the passage of lotion, there would be a flicker in his consciousness.

A flicker of consciousness led to him suddenly being half-dressed. His equipment had been laid out methodically and the routine began for him to put on his Hanchou poncho. The facade was that of a meaningful stoicism that would show contrast to those who knew how cruel he had become. Much like his father, Hideo held his head higher than most and only respected the strong. An archaic way of thinking for someone so intelligent, but there wasn't therapy around these parts...or any parts.

The first mission he had undertaken in a while had come. He wanted to oversee the building of a bridge and found that he would be having a Chuunin join him. It was some time before he needed to arrive at the construction site, so he figured he would review the dossier regaring the Gure Chuunin. Gure Ren, Chuunin for the medical corps. The first thought that crossed Hideo's mind was smugness, a sense of superiority that came from his family's expertise.

His bloodline provided an interested flavor for the medical field in the presence of fungal expertise. The medical qualities of fungi were wild and expansive, but still disgusting. While he wouldn't want to touch them, Hideo nodded in respect for a semi-decent bloodline. His likely strongest role would be as support for any work-related injuries the ants may acquire or any security-related injuries the mice may acquire.

Hideo arrived early still, despite his research and tea time, awaiting the foreman and the arrival of his Chuunin as well as a few shinobi that would provide general security for the bridge building. This project would be ongoing, but Mizu no Kuni weren't strangers to the tides of pirates. Crossing his arms, Hideo waited with the misty air flowing like the waves of oceans and the whistles and shouts of those taking their place for work.

"They're late."
