It was just past noon, and while the sun was still high in the sky, clouds were slowly starting to move in from the west. Hisao had spent the past few hours outside, planting new seeds in his make-shift gardening plot, which consisted of some empty wooden boxes he had put up behind the house, in a fairly sunny spot, and filled them with soil. He’d planted a mixture of winter flowers and root vegetables, partly because of the weather and partly because it was the only seeds he could get his hands on this time of year.

Hisao had gone back inside for a cup of tea and brought back outside with him a book on novice gardening tips and the aforementioned cup of tea. He’d taken the chance to change out of his newly assigned gardening clothes and into a fairly basic training uniform, with an extra layer on top to guard against the cold winter breeze.

A gentle breeze rustled through the leaves of the bamboo as Hisao moved to sit in the shade they provided. As was often the case, Hisao had no idea when Kobashi would be home. All he could do until then was wait. Kobashi had informed him that they would train on this day without actually telling him what it would entail. He’d gathered from contextual clues and having talked to their sister that the increase of planned training sessions might have something to do with all of the medic-nin training and minor missions Hisao had been assigned, but even that was little to work with. He wasn't sure what today would be about, but after their last training session, he knew he couldn’t predict what his brother might be planning. This could turn out to be an hour-long lecture, leading to another semi-traumatic event or it could be running laps around the house for hours building endurance or another "focus your chakra in this one spot for as long as you can and then some”... Hisao certainly didn’t know, and trying to guess would likely just be a waste of energy.
Hisao would sit in the blanket of grass and read quietly until his brother would return.

Hisao did not have to wait... as long as he normally did, only about a hour give or take a few minutes. Still it was quite the improvement considering how late Kobashi allowed himself to be detained by his work sometimes. Hisao likely heard Kobashi's voice before he actually saw his elder brother. Kobashi's words likely gave the easily noticeable context of giving directions to another.

"Stop near the gate up here. You will bring it in through there."

As usual his words were rather brief and to the point with the typical monotone. As soon as these words were spoken Kobashi's actual form appeared through the gate itself, opening the doors inwards until each had fully pivoted to be flush with the walls. Taking a moment to move small rod mechanisms which served as stoppers for the small gate doors Kobashi turned his attention back towards the porters that were making their way into the home's walled off area.

What they carried with them seemed a strange contraption of steel and wood. A massive A-frame of steel held between it's cold arms on a main axle long rods of heavily bound bamboo jutting far out to the backside. Each of the careful steps from the men carrying it cause the bamboo to jiggle slightly at the far end behind them. On each outer-side of the A-frame were steel wheels with holes bore through the discs which were evenly spaced; through four of the holes, two sets parallel from one another, heavy steel rods held the length of bamboo in place despite gravity calling for the bamboo to meet the ground.

Kobashi took some time to direct the men to a relatively clear space near the small pond to set the contraption down and sent them off with a handful of money as their presumable pay for a job well done; it was only after they were gone and the gate closed once more that Kobashi's eyes finally moved to acknowledge Hisao.
