As the archers scattered in a panic at the orders of their superiors, Kazuyuki folded his fans, returning them to his sleeve. But he wasn’t out of the woods yet, the ship being rapidly destroyed by huge tendrils of water, sending him plunging into the water below. The deck was only half submerged, but rapidly sinking, and he was quite heavy in his wooden state. He wanted to make handsigns, but with the whitlpool forming around him the young man found himself rather focused on attempting to escape.

Luckily, Zakku had seen his predicament. For the sake of the suna-nin’s scalp, he let go of his wooden transformation, rapidly reverting back to flesh and bone as he grabbed onto the long hair to pull himself out of the whirlpool and safely over to his temporary teammate. He’d drained a good chunk of his chakra in his fight with the archers, but he still was able to hold himself up on the surface he’d landed on, instinctively using the surface walking technique as soon as he landed by the side of the original Zakku, eyes hard as he took in the man they were up against.

He probably shouldn’t have used so much chakra, but there was no use crying over spilt milk now. Forming handsigns for a low-level Mokuton, vines would sprout from the wooden surface of the rapidly-sinking ship, with some attempting to hold the ship together, and others whipping towards the man who’d attempted to trap Kazuyuki. ”You got my clothes wet, jerk! Those are expensive!” he yelled, though he was all too ready to get the hell out.

DESCRIPTION:

Once the shinobi completes the handseals vines grow up from the ground within thirty feet winding their way up trees or ledges to drape down and spreading over the likes of a building in a lattice like pattern. From then on the plants will appear to simply be normal dormant vines, but will attempt to entangle and strangle anyone that touches them or comes within their reach of five feet who is not their original caster or designated by their caster. This justu was often left behind as a trap by the Senju or cast over their homes or outposts to prevent intrusion.

Forging from the Group up "Huh?" The smell of blood hit her nostrils the moment it was exposed in such close quarters, but it had been enough to show that the damage had not been hers alone. As she saw only the briefest of signs of the kunai that had managed to pierce through the air, her moment of mild victory had been taken by the knowledge that her efforts had not been enough to fight alone. If anything, it showed that her teammates hadn't trusted her to do what she had to do. "Wait...that wasn't me..." With her eyes wide, she'd shift her gaze towards the distance as one of the ships began to pull away and the other still sinking slowly as the efforts of the shinobi team continued to mount in regards to containing the situation as much as possible. As Ayukawa prepared to refocus her efforts back towards the woman, she'd soon see her doing something with her hands, revealing a seal as the waters grew white beneath her feet. At that moment, the Saeko realized her situation. Her limbs heavy, unable to move freely as she had before. Struggling to try and be free, to do anything, she'd see the Missing nin preparing her attack, watching her as she retrieved her weapon from the water's surface, prompting the realization that it was once again in her hand. This wasn't going to be a fair fight at all. If anything, it was completely different. Then, it was as if the world around her began to move slowly, the older female darting forward with her with speed she could not avoid. She readied for the impact, only to see a flash of someone coming in and attempting to strike her weapon hand to the point of removal. In lowering her guard, she'd realize it was Yuushi, now in a more radiant glow as he moved around the female much like water. His motion fluid and seamless without effort. As she watched this, her eyes would remain in shock as he seemed to move for the kill. Her opponent was about to die...yet what of the others?...

A slightly more advanced version of the Tree Climbing Skill, this technique allows a shinobi to walk on water as if it were a solid surface. What makes this so difficult is a very precise amount of chakra ust be applied, as balance is harder to maintain on a not so tangible and even moving surface.

Hunter instincts and experience on the hunt have granted Ayukawa insight into the minds of the prey she encounters. Animalistic encounters have allowed her to track and be capable of following those that she intends to target, at times giving her brief, but small insight into their intentions. While not fully developed, they have improved over her continued use and natural development, allowing her instincts to be heighten to a point where she isn't caught off-guard when activated or in an intense moment that requires a reaction. It also allows for her to at times get inside of the heads of her target, mostly due to their movements and their patterns once discovered. It is a skill that is constantly growing, though has yet to reach it's full potential.

In the Jungle
To survive in the desert, one must be able to keep up with not just the prey, but also to outrun the wild predators as well. Ayukawa training and life in the wilderness and vast landscape has prepared her for such events. Her genetics in relation to the Saeko Clan have given her an edge in physical combat, along with making her much more agile. Living out in the desert has also made her incredibly durable due to the intense environment surrounding her, along with possessing a high amount of physical stamina.

Law of the Jungle
The law of the jungle states that the strongest survive and the weak perish. In further effort to increase upon such a principle, Ayukawa has further increased her strength by the usage of training weights. Her constant runs, strikes, and combat acts have more impactful strides due to their instrumental usage. As such, while not yet strong enough to break boulders without applying chakra, she has improved the impact strength of her strikes to the point that she can fracture bones with more ease, much like the bite of a lion.

The spear rocketed through the air, a massive wave forming behind in slow motion, the tip screeching against the wind as though trying to pierce it. Before anyone could do anything about it, the Jounin had launched forward and nearly driven through Ayukawa - anyone expect Yuushi.

Like the sharpened mandibles of a mantis, the scythes snapped shut and sheared straight through the missing-nin's arm and the haft of the spear - time seemed to resume as the wake of the attack slammed against the boats with a thunderous crash, and the speartip flew on past Ayukawa, embedding into the hull with a loud crack.

The Jounin immediately leaped backwards and away from Yuushi, blood pouring forth from the severed limb - but even with her own speed, and the white glow now slowing the Sage down as well, he'd gotten a mantis claw around her side and further cut open her torso from where Ayukawa had pierced it. Her face was contorted in pain, but she just barely managed to form a one-handed seal with her remaining hand.

Meanwhile, Zakku's rescue had yanked Kazuyuki up out of the whirpool and to freedom - the missing-nin and the ship continued to sink further into the ocean, with the man submerged up to his chest now. Zakku's clone flew down at him, seeking to shred him up with his hair tendrils, but the Special Jounin managed to rush out four handseals - two for a compressed wall of water that shot up in front of him, tearing through the hair and the clone with its' force, and another two for a water clone that darted out to the side, leaped off the hull and attempted to attack the pair with his spear.

The Jounin's yell from the severing of her arm had pierced through the din of battle, and the apprentice scowled at the pair before diving underwater, quickly swimming through the hole Ayukawa had blown in the side, but not before Kazuyuki's vine attack had pierced the surface of the water and wrapped around him, tearing his skin as he slipped out.

He surfaced on the other side, blood dripping down his form. Another set of handseals, and his spear and his master had switched places in an instant - just in time for Yuushi to catch up despite her sped-up attempts to evade him, and the slowing of the circle, and snip the spear in two where her neck was a moment before. The apprentice, with his master now held in his arms, immediately darted off to the left and towards the ship that'd pulled away before.

The captain on the allied ship yelled out over the seas: "Back to ship! We're leaving!" The missing-nin duo were trailed by a thick coating of blood over the surface of the water as they retreated north, leaving Zakku and Kazuyuki to deal with the weak, lone clone from above the sinking ship, and Yuushi and Ayukawa on the surface below their ship as the white moon circle faded away.

Zakku laughed as Kazu landed and ran beside him.  Grateful to see him safe Zakku flashed a quick devil horns at him.  "He may have ruined your fashion but your hair remained flawless."  He tried to console him about his outfit.  He didn't understand fashion sense but he guessed it felt like how he was with his hair.  His hair was perfect and one of his greatest weapons in more ways than one.  Perfect hair like that took effort and time.

Feeling the Chakra from his clone rush back Zakku shot a look back at the clone coming for them with his spear out.  "Oh hey look a chance for revenge."  Weaving his hand signs he held out his hands making a triangle with his fingers.  Raiton formed in the middle and he fired at the man charging them.  "Bolt."  Zakku called out as the Lightning bolt took the form of a cobra.  It aimed its strike at the mans spear and arms.  Zakku did like animals but this new form for his raiton shocked him. (Pun Intended)  It was something he was going to have to look into later.

Jutsu used: Raiton: Inazuma no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Bolt Technique]

This technique is probably one of the most basic Raiton Jutsu out there that deals with actual lightning. The user will first perform the needed hand seals in order, then make a triangle with both their hands with the finger tips as the vertex and two thumbs acting as base. After which, the user will then begin to focus their Raiton Chakra to the Single Point while targeting the opponent within the open Triangle palm as they begin to channel chakra to the mid-point of the triangle. Then user will then pulsate a single bolt of lightning towards the opponent. The damage the bolt can deal is substantial, able to scorch a tree while leaving a dent at full power.

Thankfully, his plans worked, and Kazuyuki was extremely grateful that the missing nin were both ready to retreat. The one he and Zakku had been facing left only a clone, and one that seemed mostly fairly weak. ”Really? Thank you…” he purred in response to Zakku’s attempt to console him, shaking out his long, silky hair. At least somebody around her noticed the effort he’d put into looking good!

With Zakku taking on the clone, Kazuyuki felt a smidge more relaxed, but he didn’t dare let down his guard yet. Instead, he took his fans back out for what seemed like the millionth time that day, retreating in the direction of the allied ship. The clone, while annoying, he couldn’t care less about. He’d much rather move back to safety and deal with the long process of fixing his hair and clothes. ”Clone’s all yours,” he said to Zakku, glad to be done with this particular problem for the most part. He was definitely feeling a bit tired, since his Assimilate technique wasn’t something to be used on a whim. It was still quite draining, after all.

He didn’t get on their ship quite yet, but he was aware there was a small window to do so, and gestured for Zakku to get moving. He was closer to their ship than Zakku at this stage, and he didn’t want his fellow chuunin to be left behind.

Should he be disappointed? He'd stopped the attack, saved the girl, hell he'd saved the entire boat, and to top it off he'd rendered the woman weaponless and armless. Yet she'd lived. He hadn't meant to let her live, he'd fully expected her to die. But by some miracle or another, she was breathing. That was all she was doing, but it was more than he'd meant. He'd failed. Yet, he wasn't upset by that. He wasn't upset when a younger man he hadn't noticed appeared from the water, arriving just in time to catch her as she fell as the green haired teens shining green energy claw dissipitated after tearing into the already open wound in her stomach. Wasn't upset when he found his limbs to be heavy, and near impossible to chase, though it did explain why the nimble girl behind him had just stood still for the final attack. Wasn't upset as the retreated. He just watched. He felt the predatory urges more intensely in Sage Mode like this, exhibiting the traits of an alpha predator, insect or not. Yet, he was still him in the end, and as he watched his prey limping away defeated but alive, he couldn't stop the gentle smile that formed.

Instead, he'd turn to the girl who'd been seconds away from being skewered. He'd smile larger, his Sage Mode still ongoing as it's energies still coursed through him. His pupilless and shining spring green eyes staring at her, yet still managing to show concern even in it's inhumanness. Are you OK? Sorry, I missed the beginning of your fight. I bet you looked cool when you took that chunk out of her though. He'd push to move through the moonlit water to reach her and see if she was alright. I guess I didn't think this through very much...I didn't realize she had a trap. I guess it all worked out in the end though. And as white mixed with red, and the pink petals dipped in crimson reflected on the moon-touched water, he let out a light laugh as he looked at the water beneath them on this sinking ship. At least this fight ended on a pretty note.

Forging from the Group up "You're right....I didn't realize it either....Heh heh...also thank you! I thought what you did was amazing as well! I didn't realize that... Holding a sheepish grin, her face would become red as she spoke to Yuushi, though soon it would shift to a more direct expression as she shook her head with a frown. "Wait! No! Not thank you! I had that under control and you...OOO! With their enemies now in retreat, Ayukawa pouted as her hands were clenched at her sides, realizing her release from the white light that had given her pause. The waters were stained with the blood of the woman, though with her escape alongside her companion, there was little else that the group could do to prevent their departure. So it seemed fitting that the girl was allowed at this moment, be it unfortunate, that she release her own frustration at the situation. "I could have had her! It wasn't that I was incapable of stopping her! Then you and Zak came in and ማምለጫቸውን ለማዘግየት ያንን ጥንካሬ ተጠቅመህ ስትችል ጣልቃ ገብተሃል! እኔ በጣም አቅመ ቢስ አይደለሁም እናም በእያንዳንዱ ጊዜ መታደግ አለብኝ! በጣም ታምሜአለሁ!" (You intervened when you shouldn't have, instead of using that strength to delay their escape! I am not so helpless that I need to be saved every time! I am very sick of that opinion from everyone!) Her language switch would be almost instant, yet the clear irritation on her face was proof that what was being said wasn't in any way pleasant to say the least. Considering what she had been experiencing of late, her anger was as much a release from thoughts that had been building for some time. Though it was directed at someone who likely would not understand it. In realizing this, she'd then hear the captain call out for them to return to the ship, leading to her frowning before looking to the side. "But...you would not know...so I am grateful..." Nodding her head, she'd then begin to make her way back to the ship, climbing back up to it's deck as she began her march across it's surface. As it appeared that Zakku and Kazuyuki were making their way to it as well. In doing so, she'd glare at Zakku, but look off to the distance as she allowed herself a moment to catch her breath. She was angry, but not at them persay, but of herself. The truth of the matter was that at the end of the day....she hadn't stood a chance...if barely managing... In waiting for the ship to depart, she'd begin to try and make herself useful after trying to collect herself, seeing the blue haired shinobi as she passed while going to aid the crew of the ship in cleaning up. "በደንብ ታውቀዋለህ...እና መደረግ ያለበትን እንዳደርግ አላመንከኝም...አፍራህ..." (You knew better...and you didn't trust me to do what had to be done...shame on you...) Saying this in passing, she'd continue her way to aid in clean up, helping one of the sailors to their feet as she narrowed her eyes while allowing her more gentle features to show as they would begin to sail on once everyone was clear to continue.
