[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

When Senshi found herself in the academy, she found herself learning about a number of things, including history, mathmatics, how to read and write, as well as other things that really weren't all that related to being a ninja. However, whenever they got to the cool things, it was always exciting. They of course did a lot of physical exercise, and today? Was going to be one of those days. "Today's going to be a spar day. As you know, there's a standard that everyone needs to meet in order to become a proper ninja. We have our strengths and weaknesses, but it's best to grow and figure out where we all stand. Choose your partners." 

"Oh boy!" Senshi calls out. Though, before she could really think or say too much, there was a moment where she looks towards Aeru Naru. One of the younger kids of her class. "Hey! Hey! Naru-Chan! Naru-Chan! Do you wanna be my taijutsu spar partner today?" Senshi says with the brightest smile on her face. "I've been training, and I could use someone to help keep me light on my feet!" She says, bouncing from one foot to the other. "You know?~" 

Assuming she did agree, she'd take her hand and walk with her outside to the training yard, which theirs in this instance was largely clear and devoid of obstacles, with a circle drawn out in a circular ring, some ten to twelve meters long. Senshi would step inside, going to one side of the arena, and would begin to limber herself up, stretching as she raises her hands into the air and begins swaying her upper body from side to side on this beautiful morning. "I love taijutsu days! Don't you?"

Nayu's lips curved into a gentle smile as she observed Senshi's infectious enthusiasm. Her own spirit lifted in response to her friend's excitement. "Of course, Senshi-chan," she replied softly as the sand Nayu wielded swirled in a gentle motion to form the words, her warmth matching Senshi's fervor. The desert sun cast a comforting warmth over the village, painting the horizon with shimmering waves of heat.

Following Senshi towards the training yard, Nayu admired the tranquil sky and the gentle breeze, finding solace in the promise of a peaceful day. Stepping onto the sandy grounds enclosed by towering sandstone walls, Nayu took a moment to quietly stretch, preparing herself for the upcoming spar.

"Taijutsu days are indeed special," Nayu murmured, her voice would have carried a hint of contemplation, yet the sand was the one reflecting her way of speaking as she had no voice. "There's a certain purity in testing one's skills through hand-to-hand combat."

Meeting Senshi's gaze with a soft sparkle in her eyes, Nayu continued, "Let's do our best, Senshi-chan. It's always a pleasure to spar with you." With that, Nayu assumed her stance on the sandy ground, ready to engage in a friendly bout with her dear friend and classmate.

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

Senshi had to look at the sand and squint for a few moments as she read the kanji out. "I guess so. Hehe!~" Senshi wouldn't boast to be the best at martial arts in the class. Or the best at ninjutsu. Heck, she'd consider herself average in most things. She was good at ninjutsu. Good at taijutsu. A bit less than average in genjutsu. As she made her way to the yard, Senshi found herself slowly shifting her stance, her legs in a triangular formation, as she tucks one fist in an inverse lotus form by her waist, the other hand level, and with the back of the palm aimed towards Nayu with the fingers spread.

"Here I come!" She says, swiftly dashing, only to begin circling around Nayu, trying to observe and study her stance. Trying to run literal circles around her, as she pushes her speed to as high as it would go with the rotational curve slowing down at certain intervals. Before she closes the distance. opening up with a high crescent kick aimed for Nayu's head, where her body fluidly moves in a firm blow, before she follows the motion with a swerving pivot as her leg sails, rotating as she tries to deliver a kick to Nayu's side in the next motion. A simple opening, and easy enough attacks to rea, it would be a good warm up to start between the two.

Nayu's eyes followed Senshi's swift movements with keen focus, her mind analyzing each step, each shift in stance. As Senshi circled her, Nayu remained calm and composed, her body relaxed yet ready to react at a moment's notice. She could feel the anticipation building within her, the thrill of engaging in combat with her friend.

When Senshi lunged forward with a high crescent kick aimed at her head, Nayu smoothly ducked under the attack, her body moving with practiced agility. Senshi's follow-up kick aimed at her side was met with a swift block from Nayu, her forearm intercepting the blow with precision.

With a graceful pivot, Nayu shifted her weight, using the momentum from Senshi's attack to her advantage. Remembering what her older relatives had done in their spars Nayu decided to try and copy that. While avoiding Senshi she gathered and channeled her chakra calling upon the sand to gather around her hands. Nayu did her best to maintain a constant flow of chakra to keep the sand around her hands and in one fluid motion, she countered with a series of quick strikes, aiming precise blows at Senshi's exposed flank. Each movement was deliberate, and calculated, as Nayu sought to exploit any openings in Senshi's defense.

Though somewhere in the middle she lost her focus and the sand crumbled down. After all, this was just an attempt to copy what she saw, not knowing why and how the jutsu worked.

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

The dodge was swift, and in the next kick, Senshi's leg was blocked by a forearm. Only for the momentum of her kick be used to shift her movement into a pivot of her own. With that next moment, a set of sandy hands were sent for her, and she raises her left elbow to intercept the hand coming at her. To feel the abrasiveness of it. The rough and course feel of it as it scrapes along her skin as she recovers her footing and stands upright. A visible wince as it wasn't the same as blocking a normal palm. Feeling a scrape, she blocks another strike with her forearm, and uses her hand to try to redirect the wrist.

Her sleeve feeling the coarseness. It was like sandpaper. Actually. That sounded like a cool jutsu. Using wind and sand to augment your melee bl- She shifts and dodges her head to the side, and then ducks under the sideswipe, before attempting to lock Nayu's next strike underneath her arm, before leaning backwards and using her body's full strength to curl and trying to throw her over her shoulder in a judo throw once this strange jutsu came to an end. That was a heck of a scrape. "That's one nasty jutsu!" Senshi declares with a bright smile on her face, rubbing her arm. If all went well? The little blonde would bounce back, shifting her stance repeatedly, as her feet dance along the ground, and she tries to steady her heart and remain fast.

"Get up! And show me some more cool jutsu!"

As Nayu found herself tumbling towards the ground, her mind swiftly adapted to the unexpected turn of events. With a soft roll, she absorbed the impact and sprung back onto her feet, muscles tensed and senses heightened. The frustration of her failed jutsu attempt fueled her determination, kindling a fierce resolve to prove her mettle in combat. With a calm reassessment of her stance and a flicker of determination in her eyes, Nayu met Senshi's gaze with unwavering stubbornness.

As Senshi pressed forward, Nayu's sharp gaze meticulously tracked her movements, trying to foresee every shift and feint. With a controlled exhale, Nayu adjusted her stance, her body primed for action. Though Senshi's movements flowed with apparent ease, Nayu recognized the depth of her friend's skill and refused to underestimate her. "Sorry, no attempted Jutsu this time!" the sand flowed around Nayu as she formed the sentence.

As Senshi drew nearer, Nayu's instincts guided her movements. She maneuvered deftly, evading Senshi's initial strikes with fluid move. Each movement was deliberate, every muscle working in harmony as Nayu countered with a flurry of blows. Her punches flowed smoothly, devoid of aggression, aiming for precision as she targeted Senshi's ribs before seamlessly transitioning into a gentle, sweeping kick, seeking to unbalance her friend with care.

Nayu's expression softened in concentration as she adapted her tactics on the fly. With a gentle pivot, she closed the distance between them, seeking to engage Senshi directly and gently, aiming to gain control of the fight through careful maneuvering.

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

Senshi had found herself disappointed to a degree, mainly because she was impressed and wanted to see more of this strange technique. However, it was in those next moments that she'd get to face her opponent for real. As Nayu delivered her blows, Senshi could see that the movements were very fluid. Using the momentum of her blows with the natural motions of the body. Senshi found that as one of the punches came towards her ribs, she'd succinctly raise her right elbow to absorb the impact from the punch, feeling the knuckle dig into her arm before she swiftly lurches with her hand to attempt to grasp and wrap her hand firmly along Nayu's own arm.

And assuming the sweeping kick continued to come her way? Senshi'd turn to the unorthodox, leaning inward and closer towards the girl, as to disrupt her from completing the kick's full motion, using her ankle to hook and wrap around the jutted limb. This means that they were incredibly close together, potentially one hand locked, and leg too. Yet. Not for long. As Senshi would attempt to lean backwards with her weight, still leaning on top of Nayu like a coat rack, before looking to smack her lightly atop the head with an open palm as she hops away in a disengage.

Assuming all succeeded? She'd show she'd shifted stance to a strange one as she balances her weight on one leg, the other elevated as her hands are clawed palms. A mischievous smile on her face. Before her stance begins to shift and bob back and forth, wobbling as she slowly shifts her legs, and then shuffles sideways to make her body smaller to hit and approach.

As Nayu felt the impact of her blows connecting, a throbbing pain ran through her. Senshi's ability to counter her movements with such finesse was a testament to her skill, and Nayu welcomed the challenge it presented. Feeling Senshi's hand grasp her arm, Nayu pivoted, allowing the momentum of Senshi's motion to carry her closer. Their proximity intensified the exchange.

When Senshi leaned in to disrupt Nayu's sweeping kick, Nayu adjusted, feeling some minor pain as their bodies came into even closer contact. Senshi's strategy was unorthodox, but Nayu found herself intrigued by the unexpected tactics her friend employed. As Senshi lightly smacked her atop the head and hopped away, Nayu couldn't help but chuckle at the playful gesture. It was clear that Senshi was enjoying the exchange as much as she was.

When Senshi shifted into her drunken fist stance, Nayu's curiosity was piqued. She observed the fluidity of Senshi's movements with fascination. "I haven't, but it is an interesting choice," Nayu remarked with a grin hidden behind her bamboo mouthguard, her stance shifting slightly as she prepared to meet Senshi's next approach. "But let's see how it holds up against a more traditional technique," the sand swirled. With a swift exhale, she launched herself forward.

Closing the distance between them, Nayu would initiate the attack with a classic one-two combination, aiming a quick jab towards Senshi's midsection followed by a powerful cross towards her friend's shoulder. Nayu would try and follow up her jabs with a swift grab, aiming to catch Senshi's arm twist it behind her back, and apply pressure, seeking to lock her friend into place without causing any harm. Drawing from her knowledge of joint locks, which she had learned in one of the auxiliary academy lessons, Nayu sought to immobilize her friend and gain the upper hand.

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

It was kind of hard to read and focus on the text, and goodness knows how reliable it'd be in the middle of combat on a mission or combat operation. But that didn't matter. Senshi's eyes read the kanji firmly, and she prepared herself for the incoming attack. Her eyes focused on the threat before her with dexterous movements. As her body was constantly moving. However, it was to note that despite her body's awkward sway, her legs and footwork were still steady and firm, only with odd rhythmic shifts that made the tempo of the movement awkward to read. She'd been practicing for quite some time, and her speed and instincts both needed to be keen to pull it off.

As Nayu closes in with the jab towards her chest, she shifts awkwardly in a seeming stupor, spinning and attempting a pivot around with the punch narrowly avoiding her back, and as the hook comes for her shoulder, she swiftly drops into the splits as Senshi lowers her body downwards and as the punch comes sailing over her head, both clawed fists extend outward, as she arcs her back and join together in dual fists, looking to collide with Nayu's stomach. If the twin fists hit in their lotus slam, it might knock the wind out of her, perhaps send her stumbling or skidding back a short distance as Senshi allowed herself to stop thinking. Instead moving more on instinct as she slowly sweeps herself along the ground and kicks herself back up with a very loose form.

This time now bobbing almost in four directions now, erratically shifting from forward to her sides, and back, as she moves her arms and legs in a motion that seemed wasteful or otherwise uncertain as she lumbers swiftly, but also incredibly awkwardly towards Nayu. Senshi's eyes seemingly half lidded over as she tries to maybe convince herself of her drunkness. Her right leg rising and seemingly looking as if it was going to deliver a hook or high kick, only for Senshi to bounce off of her opposite leg and jump into the air, attempting to deliver a downward high kick for Nayu's stomach again.

"H-Hch!~ Hehe!~ Go howemm! You're drink!~" She says, showing her strange mentality.

With Senshi now weaving towards her in a drunken haze, Nayu remained focused, her eyes trained on her friend's movements despite the apparent drunken facade. As Senshi's leg rose, Nayu prepared for a potential hook or high kick, but the sudden change in trajectory caught her off guard.

Reacting on instinct, Nayu shifted her weight, attempting to sidestep the incoming kick. However, Senshi's agility proved deceptive as the kick landed solidly against Nayu's stomach once again, driving the air from her lungs.

Grimacing slightly, Nayu acknowledged Senshi's playful taunt with a wry grin hidden behind her mouthguard. "You may be 'drunk,' but your skills are sharper than ever," she quipped, her tone would have been laced with admiration for her friend's unorthodox approach. Nonetheless, her breath was rugged and her limbs tired.

Nayu refocused her stance, ready to adapt and counter Senshi's next move. As Senshi weaved and swayed, Nayu observed with keen precision, identifying a momentary lapse in her friend's guard. It was all or nothing. Seizing the opportunity, Nayu launched a swift jab towards Senshi's head, aiming to disrupt her rhythm and create an opening for her next move. If all went according to the plan and Senshi evaded Nayu's strike, Nayu anticipating her next move, would already move into her next attack. Sensing an opportunity to off-balance her friend, Nayu would shift her focus downward, aiming a low sweep toward Senshi's legs in an attempt to trip her up.

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

Honestly. Senshi was kind of a weirdo. Then again. Weren't a lot of people in Sunagakure weirdos in their own way? She didn't really know. They were a nation with a vast swathe of territory, and yet few ninja. Thus they supplemented themselves through conflict in order to keep their existence alive, in addition to vital trade through things such as gold dust and supplementary ninja arts. Their terrain acted as the greatest deterrent to those that would invade into their desert home. When Senshi struck, she focused on a few things.

Awkward movements, balance along the core of her body, as well as irregular patterns. The more one fought, the more patterns were visible. The repeated tendencies of battle. Senshi herself had noticed one now. For Nayu had the tendency to open with an assault along the upper body, and then target the legs to disrupt a sense of balance. Senshi seemed dazed as she ran forward. And with it, as the jab came forth, she ducks her head to the side, her head ducking back slightly as she lowers her back and center of gravity. Before the sweep came. Senshi felt her balance shift, and with it, as she falls, she lets her body become limp and relaxed.

As she falls backwards, she feels the flat of her back collide along the sand, before she rolls backwards to soften the fall, and then lands along her feet, before somersaulting backwards. Landing on her feet, she found that Nayu's taijutsu aptitude could be especially dangerous if she augmented it with that sandpaper like jutsu. Her elbow's scrape proving that as she comes to stand upright. "I loooove you!~" She says happily, her cheeks turning pink as she twists and pivots on her ankle, and then slides into an ever looser form, her legs crossed, and her upper body swaying back and forth as if she was about to topple at any moment.

Only for a sharp whistle to be blown into the air.

"Spar's over! That's enough everyone!" The declaration comes. The shrill whistle seems to pull Senshi from her stupor as she slowly stands upright.

"Aww!~ That was so fun though!" She says, running up to Nayu and giving her the seal of confrontation, to show her respect, as well as to show no hard feelings between fellow Shinobi.

Senshi's unorthodox style always threw her off guard, making it difficult to anticipate her next move. As Senshi effortlessly dodged Nayu's attacks and countered with surprising agility, Nayu couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at her friend's adaptability and creativity in combat.

The spar had been intense, each exchange pushing Nayu to her limits. Yet, despite the fatigue creeping into her muscles, she remained focused, determined to keep up with Senshi's unpredictable rhythm. With the spar abruptly ended by the instructor's whistle, Nayu couldn't deny a sense of disappointment mingled with relief. Disappointment because she was eager to continue testing her skills against Senshi's unorthodox fighting style, and relief because the intensity of their exchange had left her breathless and weary.

As Senshi approached with a playful smile, offering the seal of confrontation, Nayu couldn't help but return the gesture with a smile of her own. "You always manage to keep me guessing," she remarked her tone carried by the sand letter was a mixture of admiration and friendly rivalry.

Walking away from the training grounds together, Nayu couldn't shake off the anticipation for their next spar. As they parted ways, Nayu couldn't help but feel grateful for the invaluable lessons she had learned from their spar.
