NAME:Where Warriors Are From ESTIMATED TIME RANGE: 2-3 months POSTING TIME: 48-72 hours from previous post VILLAGES PARTICIPATING: Takigakure Academy Students RANK:E-D NPC DUTY: Mikatakujira Kunikunosaku/Necro RULES: 1. NOT Death-enabled*. 2. All jutsus and abilities are encouraged to be used, however, participants are strongly urged to use E-Ranks only to showcase their knowledge. (Additional leeway is given for the player to use all their equipment rather than just a sole hunting knife.) 3. *While the premise is dangerous, NPCs generated by Necro will be utilized to "protect" students from any true lethal events, close calls are still permitted; these NPCs will be following the students from a safe distance. 4. Only for the duration of this event are the participants' rubber tools turned into live weapons. Once the event is over, or at any thread other than the event, they are regressed to their original, rubber inventory. 5. Up to a 24-non-consecutive-hour extension may be given up to [1/One] time. May be broken down to use multiple times, however, if the cumulative total exceeds the maximum 24 hours, the participant is disqualified. 6. These are rolling sign-ups and they repeat when the first participant signs up (To ensure prompt graduation.) 7. Only one of these events may be running at a time. Kuni is not human, Necro is. 8. Regarding OOC requirements, the event is optional/alternative to standard requirements. However, IC opinions will be influenced if not taken. 11. Forfeiting is allowed, however, your character will automatically fail. All students who fail in any matter can retry the next event cycle. SIGN UP SLOTS: 1 - 6 SIGN UP WINDOW: 1-2 weeks EVENT description. Background: The Takigakure Academy Graduation exams have had a long and chaotic history. Under the new rule of Kunikunosaku, a controversial decision has been made to allow the less abled students to achieve their dreams. However, a stronger focus on opinion is made. Those who dare partake in the Graduation Exams are exalted and recognized, begetting honor that will massively hold more weight. Those who do not graduate following Takigakure's traditions are seen with contempt. Still respected as shinobi, they are seen almost as criminals and their opinions are lesser compared to those who graduated via "the honorable" track. Breakdown: Each student participant will be deposited in a remote location roughly 10-20 miles (16-32 km) away from the village. From there, they will need to traverse their way through dangerous terrain and wildlife in order to reach either the village, the false village, or one of the shinobi outposts throughout Bonchi no Kuni. They are to use any jutsu they know, any ability, and any tools they can carry to pass this test. During the event, the student will be presented with unique opportunities to utilize each academy technique, it is strongly urged to use them all. Once reaching the safety of the false village or an outpost, they are to write a letter and send to Takigakure for their safe retrieval. (For ease of event, every messenger bird sent by a student will go straight to Takigakure.) The event concludes when all students have been retrieved. Conditions: Participants are awarded points for signing up, getting to a sanctuary, utilizing jutsu, and returning to Takigakure. 1 - 100 points/Jutsu 200 points/E-Rank animal takedown 400 points/D-Rank animal takedown 500 points/reaching initial sanctuary 1000 points/reaching Takigakure FAILURE: The following conditions constitute failure from the Exam. Recieving external aid. Forfeiting. Not demonstrating appropriate jutsu use. Not accumulating the minimum points needed to pass. Exceeding the post extension limit. Prizes: ; This event will act as a substitute for the standard graduation thread required to promote as well as an additional lesson thread. Due to the extreme nature, all PASSING participants will be awarded up to an academy E-rank training of XP (75XP). An event based on long standing academy traditions.
