Senshi found herself living with Ameko now for a while now, as roomies. And in that time, she'd taken to really taking advantage of her situation and someone who had the time to really show her around to the workout. When Ameko was out training herself or doing missions though? Senshi got to work. She'd began eating less carbs and begrudgingly, candy, and had began eating more meat, especially lean meat as to help burn the fat content off as she began to work out. Senshi had began lifting weights, as well as practicing her footwork, and doing exercises that really helped her core. The hardship didn't really matter all that much though. If anything, she seemed to gobble that right up. Planks were easy to do too when you had cute dogs to look at.

Senshi distracted herself with her training by well...pushing her limits in different ways. She would sing to herself mentally, or think of nice things, or kind of let her mind go blank when she did her workouts. Often allowing for her to lose a sense of time as she continued to abuse her poor body. Currently as of now, she did a wallsit, and if Ameko was paying attention? Senshi's dedication was quite absurd. She woke up early in the morning, and she'd work out legitimately all day sometimes, and would come in when the sun was on the verge of setting. Would eat a storm, then go into the room to scramble to do homework and shove mouthfuls of candy into her mouth. 

Where Senshi was in fact right now. Leaning against the wall. "I wanted to thank you." She says cutely, her head tilted to the side as she looks to Ameko. "For treating me so nice. And being my friend. I know I'm a lil' silly at times, but I never try to be bad. Ame-Nee~" She says softly as she feels the beads of sweat dripping off her body. "Are ya still mad at me?"

Ameko hadn’t expected the dedication that Senshi had shown throughout the period of time that they had lived together. Her image of the Kyokujitsu scion had been almost entirely negative, that of a childish girl playing around and causing harm through stupid pranks and other such nonsense. But in spite of all of that, the girl had shown more dedication to training than Ameko had. After their first day, where Senshi had been set upon by hyenas and forced to run through the streets, she had truly committed herself to her physical development. On more than a few occasions, Ameko had returned home after a particularly intense training session and found her temporary roommate in the middle of a plank or doing crunches or some other such. Begrudgingly, and it was very begrudgingly, Ameko had begun to develop something of a respect for her temporary companion. She still would not claim to like the girl, but she was far from the worst. At least, she hadn’t tricked Ameko into thinking she’d murdered anyone recently. It was on one particular evening that Ameko found herself on the verge of admitting her newfound like, well near-to-like for the girl. She had returned home, was rather tired, and had been greeted by the ever energetic and eager Kyokujitsu, a mouthful of candy still in her mouth. "I-” She sighed, "I’m not mad at you anymore. Not really.” Resting her head back against her pillow, she added, "How is your training going? No more hyena bites?”

The best part about Senshi's life in a way was that because she was an orphan and with no set parents, she was more than free to run around and do as she liked. Well, so long as she didn't catch the concern of her older cousins and clan members. So when she trained from day to night? Likely nobody really cared. When she slowly stood, she found herself looking Ameko over, as she laid back along the pillow. When she was asked about the hyena bites? She found herself smiling brightly. "Nope." As she was training more fervently than she ever had, she'd come to mature maybe a little bit. Ameko seemed to be the kind of person who was a little volatile at times, maybe a bit mean spirited.

But honestly, Senshi kind of liked that. Looking at how drained Ameko seemed, Senshi finds herself slowly standing up. Her body felt more firm and tense over the passing days, though she didn't notice the gains herself right away. "I'm going to be a genin pretty soon." She says, slowly swirling her finger along her wet hair. "I've known all of the academy jutsu for ages now. My clan just figured I could use more time socializing. Growing up!~ Nobody would take me seriously if I graduated crazy fast or anything. So..." Slowly, moving herself along a makeshift pull up bar, she lifts herself upwards, before then slowly flipping herself upside down and holding her weight with just her legs, an incredibly difficult exercise, before she begins to curl up. Oh yeah. No. She was definitely going to feel the burn from this exercise. 

Lifting her torso up towards her legs. "I was wonderin'. If...Well. If we're friends, if I could make a lil' proposition for you. I mean...If you're open to hearing me. I like you, and I always thought we were friends. Ehe. If I'm ever a bit annoying. Please jus' let me know. I'm not the brightest. So I could use a heads up."

"As you keep reminding me,” Ameko answered, eyes closed to a half-slit. She knew that she shouldn’t be so harsh, it was evident that Senshi was excited at the concept of becoming a genin, and she was putting in the work. But she certainly kept reminding Ameko of the fact. Which would have been fine, had she not also inadvertently touched on a sore spot. The academy jutsu had not come easily to older of the two girls. Her skills had always laid elsewhere, and the ability to make clones and other such requirements had eluded her for far too long. Ironically, she’d always felt more comfortable with the things that Senshi was now focusing on now, physical training. So, it was with a degree of irony that the ninjutsu specialist focused on training her body, doing curl ups, whilst the more physical fighter rested with her eyes almost closed. She was tired, as she so often was, yet she could not help but feel somewhat inadequate not doing her own training. "You are annoying, yes,” Ameko answered bluntly. She said nothing for a few moments, before she opened her eyes and looked at the blonde. She thought for a moment on whether to soften the blow, "I don’t hate you though. You just do stupid things.” Raising to her feet, Ameko approached her roommate, "Have you been training like this all day?”

Senshi was one might imagine wasn't exactly the best when it came down to social cues and all that. She didn't know Ameko's skillsets really other than the fact she kicked in Senshi's ribs like they were nothing. There was a few moments where she mentioned that Senshi was annoying. That she did stupid things. For a moment, as Senshi pulled her body up with some strain towards her stomach, that she slowly lets go and lets herself fall onto the floor. Standing on her hands, before she slowly flips onto her feet and begins doing some squats. Feeling the burn along her thighs and hamstrings as she nods her head.

"Uhh...Yeah. Why wouldn't I?" She says with a tilt of her head in confusion. There was a few moments of consideration where she reflects on Ameko's words, and she finds herself really taking them to heart. "I'll try to be a lil' less dumb." She says with a heartfelt smile. Though, she never did get to say what her proposition was. "I was...thinkin'. If you umm. Don't mind me too much. If. Umm. Well. When I become Genin. If we're on the same team. If maybe you an' I could work together. Save up money and get a house or an apartment together! If you ever thought about moving out at all." She says, vocalizing out loud. It might have been a little out there, but Senshi was thinking about her future now.

"I'm lookin' for a house for me, so I don't bother the people in my clan anymore. But I'm kind of broke."

"Don’t overdo it,” Was all Ameko offered in response. It was genuine advice, born out of experience. There was a need so many felt when they first started training properly with weights, to dedicate as much time as physically possible to the pursuit. On more than a few occasions, Ameko had found herself injured doing the same, too much time, too much focus, and nowhere near enough rest. She didn’t want to see the same happen to Senshi. The only times she had seen the blonde girl rest in the past few days had been when she had been stuffing her face full of candy. Sure, she had focused more on eating meat and other proteins, but it did not change the fact that the girl had an undeniable sweet tooth. Of course, her attempts to provide genuine advice were somewhat put on hold by the suggestion that came next. Not for the first time when it came to dealing with Senshi, Ameko found herself utterly speechless. Living with Senshi? She had been a decent enough roommate… But living together with her full time? That would be… It would be something. "Uhh,” Ameko stalled, trying to think of the words, "Well… the hyenas like it here because the food, and the uh… other hyenas… and um… you know, pens? Wait, what do you mean not bothering the people in your clan, you’re still a kid, why won’t your family take care of ya?” She pouted in thought, before swiftly pivoting the subject, "So, good form there. Why don’t you try some chin dips?”

As Senshi continued to do her squats, she found herself doing as requested. She didn't seem to have the mental capacity to deny, or whine about her instructions. Holding her palms, she'd alternate between them facing towards and away from her body as she continued her motions. Though, she found herself thinking about it. "I won't. Or. I'll at least be really careful." She finds herself continuing to dip as sweat accumulates on her person. She oddly enough never felt as if she was going to break. Though maybe that was because of her excellent skills in mentally distracting herself.

"Oh. Umm. Because I don't have any." She said it so calmly and nonchalantly. "I was told my mommy and daddy died when I was small on a mission. I lived with my auntie and uncle for a little while, but because of me, fights broke out. So I couldn't stay there. So I go from house to house. Living with people from my clan. Here and there. They're my family, yeah, but I don't wanna bother anyone. So." She finds herself slowly twiddling with her fingers for a moment as she stops working out for a second or two. It was kind of weird talking about it she realized.

"Your mommy's really nice." She says thinking about it. Before looking Ameko over. "I hope that when I become really strong, I can take care of myself, but everyone in Suna too. Because. Well. Everyone's been my big brothers and sisters. Y-You know?" She says smiling brightly, her eyes closed as a small rivulet of tears begin to spill out of either end.

"Oh.” A single word was spoken, but it hid a much deeper meaning. A sea of understanding and further guilt crashed over Ameko as she watched Senshi pause her exercises. She probably should have pieced together the girl’s situation sooner, put two and two together and realised why she had spoken so often of bouncing from clan member to clan member. That was the extent of her family. She was an orphan. Not for the first time when it came to engaging with Senshi, Ameko felt like a right piece of shit. A girl with no parents, who was sent to her aunt and uncle, who by the sounds of it weren’t much better than living alone. Fights breaking out due to a little girl? That sounded like bullshit if Ameko had ever heard it. But no doubt Senshi had internalised it. Yet, she still tried to be bright and happy, still tried to put smiles on others’ faces. Sure, she often failed in doing so, and had caused Ameko no small deal of trouble. But it was clear that she was not doing it out of malice. No, she was simply a dumb girl, a dumb girl who was doing her best in spite of the utterly horrific circumstances life had thrown at her. Ameko wasn’t good with mushy stuff. She wasn’t good at much beyond hitting people and talking about hitting people. How was she supposed to comfort a teary-eyed girl who just wanted to be loved. Awkwardly, stiffly, she approached the blonde girl, and placed a hand on her head, roughling those same golden locks. "Ay, don’t go crying, now… You’re about to be a genin, right? A strong ninja? The type of ninja who’ll fight for all of Sunagakure?” Ameko struggled for the words, "I’m… um… glad that you like it here, Senshi-chan.” The honorific tasted somewhat odd on her tongue, she never quite got used to using them. Part of being raised among family and animals, she supposed.

A hand came and caressed her. Warm and softly. What a surprise it was. Momentarily looking upwards, with surprised awe in her eyes. There was comforting words from one of the most passive aggressive genin in all of Suna. There was a moment where immediately afterwards, a hug came to caress her form. Around her neck as Senshi drenches Ameko with a slight sheen of sweat. "Thank you!" She says, nuzzling her cheek against Ameko's own. Immediately was her brief sheen of despair lifted as she hugged so thoroughly against Ameko. Someone who was closely beginning to become a close friend, if not a sisterly figure in her mind. It felt like a real accomplishment to be this close.

"I feel stronger than ever!" She says, letting go of the older girl and hopping backwards. Proceeding to jog in place, shifting her arms back and forth as she huffs with exhilaration, and begins to crouch down, doing bunny hops on the heels of her feet, before she hops up and reaches for the sky. Before deciding to settle on burpees. It seemed as if Senshi was keen on coming to potentially take Ameko's title of buffest youth in Sunagakure. "Just you watch. I'm going to become one of the strongest out there and like you said! Fight for all of Suna!"

She hadn’t been expecting the hug, but she probably should have. Give an inch and Kyokujitsu Senshi would take a mile. Ameko’s form went rigid as she accepted the hug, teeth gritted and eyes staring into space. A hand awkwardly raised and patted the younger girl on the back, a gesture of acceptance and return. In a way, the girl who was nuzzling against her, dripping with sweat and smelling of exercise, was entirely similar to one of the pups she had been raised alongside. Desperate for physical affection, and entirely unaware of their own bodies. But, Ameko did not hate the hug, as awkward and stiff as she was in receiving it. Despite her best efforts, she was gradually growing more accustomed to the student. She’d still not admit to being fond of her, if ever pressed, but she’d certainly learned to live with her, and appreciate her in her own peculiar ways. With Senshi returning to jogging in place and doing burpees, Ameko returned to her position, slumped on her futon and watching over the exercise. She probably could undertake some training of her own, but she was tired, and commenting on form was so much easier. "Sounds good,” She answered, half-encouragingly and half-disinterested, "But watch your form, make sure you get entirely to the ground with those movements, yeah?”

The embrace was something she cherished, and in those next moments, she finds herself feeling a different kind of burning as she slumps along the floor and enters into her crouching plank maneuvers before standing and leaping into the air. "You betcha!" She giggles, and with it, as she resumes, Ameko might find that the small girl went on, and on, and on, like a little battery. Senshi was growing up, and she was going to mold herself into a great warrior, hence her namesake. She was a warrior. Taking a deep huff of air, she finds that Ameko was relaxing.

Senshi found herself thinking about why she was getting stronger, and then to the kind words of Ameko herself. "You're a good person Ameko-Chan. A really precious person to me." A small blush along her cheeks, but in a more sisterly and platonic way, she'd offer a fist bump to the older girl after a few repetitions. Whether or not it was reciprocated, she'd take the liberty to walk off to take a nice shower. Afterwards, she needed a little bit of a break after all. Maybe if she was feeling brave enough, she'd try to huddle next to Ameko and ask her the strangest questions. Or tell her stories from her day to day, or her comic books.

Chan? Ameko-chan? The genin didn’t quite know how to react to the use of the honorific. She’d only just become comfortable with the addition of ‘nee’ to her name from the little blonde terror, this development was one that caused her a not insignificant degree of trepidation. Yet, she wasn’t heartless enough to tell off Senshi for the use of the term, besides, it wasn’t as if she was opposed to it. Sighing, the tanned girl relaxed into her position, watching the form of Senshi’s burpees with silent approval. She had absolutely no experience in training anyone, let alone in correcting their form or providing adequate advice, but she’d winged it so far. Besides, it seemed to have been working, and she’d not received any complaints. In due course, the rotation of burpees would end, and Ameko would answer Senshi’s fist with a bump of her own, their hands colliding in a moment of fellowship. As Senshi wandered off to shower, Ameko took the opportunity to rest in silence, the exhaustion from the day fading away, and with it her irritability. In due course, Senshi would return, taking her space next to Ameko. "So,” Ameko would ask, "You’re not far off graduating then? You keep talking about becoming a genin and joining team one, after all… One of your teachers tell you to do all this extra physical exercise?”

Ameko really was a kind person deep down, despite her rugged exterior and her somewhat cruel pranks. It was there that Senshi really digested everything. "Hrm?..." Coming forth with a messy mop of blonde hair still somewhat wet from the shower, she was asked if she wasn't far off from graduating. How she was going to join the team. If she was asked to do all of this exercise. To which Senshi found herself giggling for a second. Her eyes turning into narrowed plates as she laughs into her hand like a mischievous gremlin.

"Yeah. I'm real close to graduating. And nope!~ I decided to do all this training on my own. Because pretty soon, I'm gonna become a Genin and all, so felt like I gotta be on my tippy top shape. Take the best missions. Become super strong. All the works an' all that. You know how it is!" She finds herself then leaping into the air, with a hop, looking down upon Ameko. "PILEDRIVER NO JUTSU!" She says, looking to collide atop her, and then land by her side. Hugging along Ameko's side, she then shifts and looks towards the ceiling.

"Today's been such a good day~" She says with a happy grin. "I can't wait to make Genin."
