[Senju Minazawa]

Minazawa had been rushed back from Kusagakure as of recent, her body having fallen into a critical condition, and with it, when Miho was informed, she might have seen Minazawa, as pale as a sheet, laying back along one of the medical bed cots. Hooked up to an oxygen machine as it filtered the air into her. She'd been in the hospital for a good portion of her life, nearly a fourth? Perhaps a little longer, hooked up to a device just like this one. As doctors had tried to help her previously. Namely, to study the wound and the nature of how it recovered. For when she first arrived, she'd been fully impaled and pinned to a tree, a hole gaping through her lung.

It was a miracle she survived some said, and with it, they'd opened her up time and time again to fish out with tweezers the strands of red hair that invaded into her body, which agitated her body. Though that was a laboring experience in itself, something that took resources and skilled hands from both the hospital and the mental fortitude of Minazawa herself. Some advised she quit being a ninja entirely, as to save her the pain, but many also found it an interesting topic of study. To see the best course of action on how to treat her. Especially considering a new pair of lungs wasn't always going to be around. Especially compatible ones. An expensive measure. 

Minazawa's life was filled with pain. Wearing the medical gown, along her torso, there were numerous scar marks from incisions made past as they opened her chest, and as Miho walked in, slowly, does she turn to look upon her. "It hurts..." She says, before slowly looking at the ceiling again. A small bonzai tree resting next to her along a pedestal stand. "I'm dying...Aren't I?" She asks, taking a deep breath of air. It almost felt like at this point they were playing with her, as certain staff made discussions on her operation. Made her feel at times more like a research subject than a patient.

"Medically speaking...we all are dying Minazawa..." Her tone was calm and gentle, much as she was with all her patients. Though with the young Senju, the familiarity was clear as she held her chart between her fingertips and then glanced at the girl with a warm smile. Considering what her body had been through and how much it had managed to recover naturally, it was indeed a wonder how she had lasted as long as she did outside of any real life-support. In most cases, someone with her among of lung damage would be condemned to life within a bed and attached to a breather. At the very least, something to allow for continued air-flow considering her lack of one functional lung. At all points, her path as a shinobi was all but finished. Yet, she continued to wish to try. Which was more than most. As she checked her forehead temperature with the back of her hand, Miho would then sit down at the edge of the bed, her expression of calm turning serious as she spoke. "But yes....you are....and continued exposure and travel is limiting what time you have..." This operation was one of firsts, though in truth any past attempts at repair had been near fruitless. Her first year here she had seen such work done through Lady...Shodiame. It had been successful, but only just bought the girl time. "This operation could give you a chance....but it isn't a promise...I can only tell you that replacing the lung can possibly help improve your condition...but we also have no idea if your body will reject the donor..." This knowledge allows for her to use many medical ninjutsu and techniques effectively that can save lives on and off the battle field, and it only appears that she has scratched the surface of just what she can do in the future. In some causes, she can come up with various versions of these jutsus, improving upon them to make them just as effective when on the field.

Minazawa had lived a very difficult life. In truth, she didn't fear the prospect of death. So, when she was told she was dying? She didn't feel sorrow or despair at that prospect. Instead, she had looked towards her and nodded her head. She'd accepted it. However, there came word of a procedure. One that could spill to her death, but that if she so wished it, she had a chance. A chance to live and see an improvement in her day to day life. Slowly looking her over, Minazawa offers a hand to Miho.

"Please." She almost says in a pleading tone as she lays back, and when she did, she thought about everything. Leading to these moments. "If I die...I want you to tell my family that I love them. And I want to be buried in a nice garden. Beneath a tall tree." Those were her simple and last requests, as she took another deep breath of air. It almost felt pitiful to see her in such a state, and for a moment, she wondered if Miho was burdened. Burdened with taking care of people like her. As she rests back and is forced to rely on her for help.

"Please...Make the pain stop."

It was never easy to hear the last requests of someone who was preparing to pass out, or at least expecting such events. While the operation was the best option for Minazawa, it was not a promise to have a continued life. It was a chance...a big one, and the choice was hers if it were one that she wished to gamble her life with. That being said, Miho didn't have any intention of doing nothing less than her best work. As she always had done... With Miho taking the girl's hand into her own, she'd listen to her and nod as she held a calm expression on her face, allowing for a faint smile before then closing her eyes. "I will do everything I can....but I promise I will honor your wishes...now rest..." Drawing her hand away softly, the older female would perform a set of three seals, placing her fingertip against the girl's forehead as three pulses of chakra would begin to move through her. While this would not aid in the struggle for breath, it would make the process easier as it granted a mild relief from the pain that came with it. This would at least give the girl a moment to get a good amount of rest, and let her body prepare for the surgery that was to follow. The Senju would need all the strength she could afford for it, and Miho wanted to ensure that she had every advantage in making through it. Her hand was taken, and she was promised. She was told to rest. Closing her eyes, she found an alleviation, a slight feeling of relief from the aching in her lungs and her deteriorating condition. Everything felt like it was slower. As if she was sinking. Her eyes close, and with it, she goes limp as she enters a deep sleep. Though as she did? She dreamed. Where she rest along a verdant and soft green hillside, with the warm sun shining down upon her. It was a perfect day. Beneath the willow tree, as she saw nothing but vast and rolling fields in the distance. This must have been heaven.

She reasoned with herself, though felt the momentary silence as the shade seemed a bit too vast. Expansive, as the light seemed to dim in certain spots. Before noticing that she rest before a crackling fire. Slowly sitting, she tucks her knees closer to herself, and she wondered. Wondered if she'd lived a good life. Wondered if she'd done good for the people of her homeland. Her family. Her amber eyes looking softly into the distance as she wondered if her life was meaningful. To someone. It was strange how these might have been some of her last thoughts, and how she lacked confidence in so many of those questions. Maybe that was a good sign for her.

Miho may very well find that as head medic, and looking upon the operation in question, that Minazawa's body had become softer and more frail over the years of confinement. Though her body was strong and surprisingly resilient to have lasted as long as it did. She was a Senju after all. How was it all going to go down?

Miho would continue to hold the girl's hand as she fell into slumber, allowing the bliss of sleep to hopefully take some of the pain away. Her physical condition was frail at best, yet her will was resilient enough that the woman was confident in their ability to make it through surgery. Still, it wasn't a certain, in fact nothing in life was. Miho had seem people with far better chances die on an operating room table, and their odds were much higher than Minazawa. Though it didn't change the fact that currently, they were running out of options and the girl was literally running low on any real hope that she could get better. As a nurse made her way into the room, the dark haired female would rise up slowly as she narrowed her eyes and began to speak. "Ensure everything is ready for the morning...I need to do some final prep...if she wakes up...make sure to apply a sedative to give allow for a less intensive breathing...she'll need every bit of her strength for this..." In gently resting the girl's hand back on her body, Miho would then make her way out of the room, her focus set on getting ready for what she'd have to do. "Tomorrow will be a difficult day and I want nothing but the best from everyone in that room...."
