[Nōhime Sabishī]

Sabishi was still a Genin. Who would have guessed? Despite having passed the Chuunin Exams years ago, she'd slowed down to such an extent that it almost felt as if she were advancing at a snail's pace. Kind of disappointing all things considered. But she'd been training to master the Jinton as well as advance her medical training. Nobody could really question her progress there. Though, she was most surprised to find out that she was still doing an inter-team meet up today. Drills. Sparring. That kind of stuff. Which was all in her alley. Though. All things considered? It was a little awkward considering the purple haired Nohime was kind of a loner.

She got a part time gig working with the Okada thanks to Taki, sure, but she pretty much was left to her own devices. Felt like she did jack shit some days. Felt like she was stagnating in some others. Hell, she was an adult now, and her parents were telling her to go get hitched and get a man. And she still hadn't told them, nor much of anyone about the Jinton she held. Wasn't that a little awkward? Yeah. Maybe it was. A little bit too much. However, there wasn't much she could do. Stopping before training ground two along the Genin yard, she looks out to see if perhaps her compatriot had arrived before her. Which was a likely possibility.

"Yosh. Nohime. Sabishi." She says, pointing at herself. "I've come to train with you today, and see what we'd like to work on together." The yard seemed to be filled with earth, stone, boulders, and gravel like soil for the most part, with a small stream running through it. Kind of looked like a depressing spot unless you wanted to spar, or get to working on breaking rocks. At least it wasn't blistering hot yet. Fuck the summer time.

Wolf of the Infinite

Rays of the early morning sunlight beamed past the gaps between his fingers, forcing him to turn away from the harsh rays, attempting to block much of it with his hand. The position of the sun told him what what thought he was sluggishly trying to form in his head. He had fallen asleep.

Many sleepless nights kept the boy near permanently drained, his mind racing about his regrets while he lay on his futon. Regrets that turned into dreams, turned into nightmares. Then, as quickly as he would have dozed off, he is awake again, laying in a cold sweat.

This was all hard for him. To cope, to deal with it, to get over it. Thoughts circulated in his head like a maddening poem, one with no beginning, one with no end.

"Yosh. Nohime. Sabishi" A voice called out to him. A voice close. When his eyes drifted upward, he would be able to see the girl who was looming over him. his brain took longer than normal to register she had said anything after that, tilting his head in a groggy confusion. Shifting his weight, he pulled out a scroll, unraveling it so that he might communicate back.

Yoroshiku, Nohime-san. the scroll read as he calmly wrote on the parchment with his finger. You would like to train with me? Really? I would be most glad! New lines were added, accepting her invitation with about as much enthusiasm as one could muster in text. With another small segment added, I am a genin, from team two. Okami Shizuka. It is nice to meet you~ <3 the parchment read, a drawing of a heart at the end of his greeting.

It was a little bit awkward, having to come forward and read the scroll in question. Viewing the writing that was made with movements of the finger. It was strange on how cute the writing was, from the nubile cat figure. However, she didn't question it too hard. Blinking, they came to realize that they were mute? Was that it? Looking towards her charge, she steps back and lightly moves her head from side to side as she tries to divest in the situation. Get her feelings down she supposed? Was that it? "I was hoping for a spar. Something simple to get us accustomed."

"I'm a ninjutsu specialist, with talent in medical jutsu." She proclaims, and with it, she wasn't too sure what to make of her training partner today. Okami Shizuka. She didn't know too much about those folks, only that when they came to the hospital she worked at, they sometimes had spinal injuries or ear infections, a little downside at times to having the features of a cat one might suppose. Though they were generally decent enough people. Something she took into consideration when she went to help them out. Taking the liberty to sort of gesticulate with her hands, shuffling her hands together, she comes to slowly shrug.

"Erh...I guess show me what you can do." She says grumbling and confused to some degree. How was Shizuka supposed to communicate with her team members more conventionally anyways?

The girl seemed quite awkward and unsure of how to communicate with the boy. They did read the scroll and voiced their intentions on wanting to spar. It would be an easy enough task for him to take on, though he wondered exactly what she was hoping to get out of their bout.


She seemed like she might be uncomfortable. The girl must have realized that he was unable to speak, and that was why he was using a scroll to communicate.

Please, pay it no mind Nohime-san. A defect from birth, "The cat got your tongue" is a saying that might be more literal in regards to me.

With their mask covering their mouth it might be hard to see their smile, but that's why Shizuka often smiled with their eyes as well, hoping to convey the right emotions to the girl. Rolling up their scroll for a moment, they did a serious of hand signs mixed with a few left and right, up and down motions in the air with his right hand.

A language using one's hands. It is simple, but useful when Shizuka can not write. This one means "Let us begin," and this one... He said, performing another motion, ..Means "let us end".

Hoping that she would understand his gestures, he unrolled it for one final follow up for the kunoichi.

Nohime-san is a ninjutsu specialist? Very good! Shizuka is an Okami, so my specialization is weapons. Shizuka is a primary in Bukijutsu...

Perhaps today we might spar using our paws? He offered, his last sentence ending in a question, rolling up his scroll and putting it away in the holster at the small of his back. With his tail swaying behind him, hypnotically swishing from side to side, he awaited the answer of the Nohime.
