Sora had been in the Takeda compound for all of a day, and she already hated it. The food was decent enough and the bed was warm, but the rain simply did not stop, no matter the time of night or her lack of sleep. So it was that, when it came time for breakfast, the young Takeda servant who had been sent to wake her (Sadako was, sadly, busy) was met not by a groggy but compliant woman, but instead by a snarling, half-asleep monster with pink-hair who only vaguely resembled a person. Needless to say, the poor woman got an earful of curse words that would have made even her foul-mouthed cousin blush, followed by a swift and thorough tossing onto her rump.

The mood didn’t last long, just a few minutes really, but word of her… temper seemed to have spread through the compound like wildfire; by the time she got herself dressed and properly caffeinated, the servants and younger Takeda were already scampering to get out of her way, with many of them looking down and away the moment her gaze drew near theirs.

Way to make a good first impression… she thought, her lips parting in a soft frown as she strolled down the hall, following the same woman who had woken her, her nervous aura seeping through the air and infecting the pink-haired Kiri Jounin. She still wasn’t sure what Preceptor Akio wanted from her, but after their less than stellar introduction she had little doubt it would be good. He hadn’t taken well to the idea of her being a Takeda at all, though he’d hid it well- the slight tint of disdain in his voice, the subtle frown as she had laid out her evidence, it all pointed to the truth, however obliquely.

Whatever he wanted would be clear soon enough though. The serving woman stopped in front of a sliding paper door, her gaze holding to the floor as Sora stepped through the entryway into a wide, wood paneled dojo, complete with a veritable wall of blades of every shape and style imaginable. There was even a rack of polearms on one end, though the vast majority of the room was taken up by the heavily worn mat in the center, which looked almost out of place in the otherwise immaculate training room. Akio, of course, was sitting in the center of the mat, in full seiza, a plain, utilitarian looking tachi laid across his right knee, his back to the door, breathing slow but steady. Might as well get this over with…

"You called?"

Authority....right....understanding....

These were the things that made up the Takeda and the undying devotion that came with it...

By chance one came upon someone who possessed skills that were related to their clan, they were made aware of it and investigated it thoroughly and to the point. It made the clan stronger when those among their talents were put in place to grow, but this was a bit difficult in regards to the woman who was now in his presence.

Sora Minami...was by all accounts an outsider looking in and while her talents had been proven in the village of the mist, it had not been done so here...

Still...it was not his place to judge her parentage or the need for her to be here. It was only his duty to see if she truly belonged.

As she asked if he had called, he'd remain seated, his back to her as he began to speak.

"Clearly..."

His tone was harsh, but direct enough for her to recognize that he was addressing her, prompting himself to rise up as he turned to look at her.

"You have been among us for a time...what do you make of it? What have you done since coming here?"

"It’s been a day, Akio-san. So far all I’ve done is eat, sleep, and scare the girl you sent to wake me up." Sora said as the man rose, her lips quirking down in a small, annoyed frown. There were only a handful of reasons she could think of for a man like him to call her out to a training dojo this early in the morning, though none of them made sense, at least not from the impression he had given before. The elderly Preceptor had come across as a fussy school-teacher when they had first met, needlessly reprimanding Sadako for her language, nevermind how he had treated her. Still, there couldn’t be too many things he could want, and given his age… well. She was confident she could handle him if the need arose.

"So, is there a reason you called me out here at this god-forsaken hour of the day?" She asked after a moment, shifting her weight from her front foot to her back as she looked over towards the wall of blades, noting the way each one seemed to have been individually cared for. There were plaques beneath each one, the names of previous wielders etched into the bronze and silver; a handful of blades near the center of the wall bore blank golden plaques, their surface unmarred and the weapons oddly worn, as if their damaged condition were something to be proud of.

"Because if not, I’d rather like to get back to sleep."

"So I heard...."

Moving toward her, he towered over the woman with a serious expression, eyes narrowed as he spoke clearly, his face firm before moving passed her with clear distain. It wasn't so much that he didn't like the girl, only that it seemed that he valued time, and her wasting it on luxuries did little to change his opinion of her lacking ability. Though if he were to gauge her on anything, it would be her tact in trying to get to the point. A indicator of a trained mind...or at least an impatient one.

"You wasted a day on pleasantries when you should have been using it to understand the clan you are supposed to bare kinship! That does little to prove your understanding or desire to remain! If you wish to do so little than return to Kirigakure! I have no use for someone who does nothing nor does the clan!"

It was harsh, but he would not be light in his instruction of the outsider in learning if she truly could be part of the Takeda.

"Come...your education starts now...."

With him moving further into the dojo, he'd adjust the belt wrapped around his waist as he closed his eyes.

"What do you know of the Takeda Clan?"

Sora raised a single eyebrow at Akio’s words, her posture unchanging as the man stood up, his disdain for her clear as day. Oh, he wrapped it up in niceties, in proper words and the reasoning of a concerned clansman, trying his best to keep his family from being used. But it was there all the same. Part of her wanted, desperately, to reach across her hip, draw Samidare, and beat some respect into the old man’s tone- but she held herself back, reining in the storm that raged in her heart, caging it beneath the thin pane of glass that was her will until, with a sigh, she followed after the Preceptor, shoulders tense but otherwise calm.

"Just what I was able to glean from Kiri’s records." She said, her voice taking on the flat, toneless cadence she had used for much of her time in the Oinin-Butai. That had been happening more and more, recently; she found herself slipping into old habits, letting the emotions build and build inside of her without ever giving them space to blow over, then burying them until she felt nothing at all. It had been manageable, before the incident with Toru, but now… now it was becoming a problem. One she had no real answer for.

"The Takeda are a powerful clan in Ame, though not to the degree the founding clans are. You’re considered a loyal clan and, with the elevation of Lord Sanosuke to the Lordship of Amegakure, one whose influence is on the rise." Sora paused then, wracking her brain for whatever else she could remember about the Takeda that might be pertinent. She had no clue what the Preceptor was after, no idea what he might be looking for- but given how little he seemed to like her, it was possible he wasn’t really after anything. "Oh, and you have a mysterious Kekkei Genkai that no one understands but you. ‘Devil Bringer,’ I think it’s called."

Or something equally pompous sounding.

"Mhm...So you see influence and power that was gained through the actions of one man...yet there is more to learn when it comes to the Takeda. It's loyalty to the Amegakure is only partial to it's overall history...one that you will learn today..."

As he spoke, he'd allow himself a pause before then releasing a deep breath as this was indeed his role. To inform the future...and to pass understand to the next. It was as important as learning techniques and the skills that was possessed by the Takeda and while he may not have liked the outsider, it was his role to do just the same. To see if what was considered of her was indeed true.

"It is limited in detail...but it begins with a story....the story of a man...and a devil..."

Often history was reflected in stories and the truth behind their meanings. While it could not be concretely proven that these accounts were accurate, it held weight within the clan and thus he was meant to tell it.

" It was that of a man who fell in love with a feminine entity not known to this world. The legend goes that there was once a woman who was cast out amongst her people. They believed her to bring mischief and evil to their village —which was just a few miles outside of what would soon become Amekagure No sato— because of her misunderstood "dark” powers of which she was unable to control. Witch. Monster. Devil..."

His tone would shift as he spoke, allowing for the words to sink in as he continued.

"Misfortune would follow the woman where she lingered...drought...famine...death...it become seen as an omen for where the woman walked, evil things happened and this distanced her from the village in which she lived...and the people to which laid within it..."

In holding up his hand, Akio would then turn his back to the girl as he indicated upward with a single finger.

"One day, when a plague struck the village with no possible end in sight, desperation claimed the hearts of the villagers. The only possible explanation for the misfortune was that Devil Woman. They rioted and took their weapons to hunt her down. Backed into a corner for the last time, the Devil unleashed her uncontrollable potential, completely slaughtering the villagers. The only exception was a man who had managed to escape her clutches. It didn't take her long to find him, but when she did all she found was a man ready to accept his death...."

This stop in the story allowed for Akio to look toward Sora with a calm expression, his eyes narrowed as he questioned her.

"While I imagine the answer is obvious...what do you imagine the woman did to one who accepted death?"

Sora listened, her eyes glued, almost unnaturally so, to Akio’s frame as the old man spoke. Her posture was rigid, as if every muscle in her body had locked up, and the storm inside of her chest stirred, his words echoing through her thoughts in a way that set alarm bells off in her head. There was something off about him, about this, about her. She had felt it from the moment she stepped foot in the Takeda compound, felt the precarious balance between the sea of formless, seething rage at her core and the thin cage of iron will that held it in check shift ever so slightly out of her favor. Everything was more difficult here, even being woken up… and it didn’t make sense.

"They fell in love?" She said, voice surprisingly soft as she looked up at the Preceptor, sky-blue gaze lingering on his, the words difficult to get out, as if something were trying to strangle her, only for her to snap the final sentence out, the storm in her chest flaring to life and straining at its cage. "Or maybe she killed him. I’m not… I don’t- Ugh, why does this matter!"

The pink-haired woman paused, taking a deep breath as she turned away from the Preceptor, grinding her teeth while she pushed the anger and annoyance down, forcing herself to be calm, to think, not act. To breathe, and let the storm pass over her, unbothered. After a moment, Sora turned back to face Akio, her hands shaking slightly from the effort it took to hold her emotions in check… as if something, or someone, were making them stronger and more potent than they ought to be.

"Is this you? Hmm? Using a Genjutsu to fuck with my head or something?" She asked, voice soft but trembling with confusion, with fear, with anything and everything all at once- but most of all, with anger. "Well?"

The man remained silent as he heard the girl's complaints, his expression calm as he continued to look at her. It was as if something had begun to trigger her just by the story itself. An interesting reaction to it, though it was something that often did draw itself into question as the tale was in relation to a demon. As he seemed to watch her wait for his response, he chose to ignore it as he continued to speak in regards to historical account.

"Interesting...."

He'd hold his head upward as he spoke, glancing at her briefly before then speaking again.

"The devil was confused by this reaction to her presence....love...perhaps...or maybe acceptance....one can hardly tell the difference by glances...in the end, the man spoke of salvation to her and in accepting this offer, the devil would take the man as her own and embrace the love that was expressed in that moment. This union would be known as the beginning of the Purebloods...those descended from their joined union....I wonder...."

In saying this, he'd then swiftly turn to face her, his expression serious as he narrowed his eyes in her direction.

"This story speaks of the beginnings of our clan...where our strength begins....and also where it ended and changed....but perhaps..."

Was it possible....he could only guess...there were few that possessed the abilities, even less with what he suspected within Sora. If so, then did that mean that she had it and there had been a passage of blood within other lands?

"Change of plans...we will see what you can manage in terms of strength...prepare yourself!"

"‘Interesting?’" Sora said, jaw clenching, hands balling into fists at her hips, gaze narrowing almost to slits as the older man spoke, continuing his story. She wasn’t paying attention now; her thoughts were racing, breathing shaky and uneven as she fought the storm in her chest, the raging violence battering against her will harder and harder, like a starving animal that smelled blood. She beat it down though, her shoulders relaxing by degrees as she forced the beast down, strangled it beneath decades of experience and the memories of her past, of what she could do when she let it loose. Of what she had done, far too often.

"Do you think this is some kind of joke, Preceptor?" She said after a long moment, at last looking Akio in the eyes again, her posture still rigid but no longer hostile, no longer brimming with that barely-there edge of violence that she had been just moments ago. And yet, that was perhaps more dangerous than anything else"You call me here to speak to me, tell me of ancient fairy tales, mess with my fucking head, and then act like nothing is wrong? That you can just demand a show of strength from me?"

Sora could feel it then, could sense the anger rising up in her again- but as she looked at the taller, older Ame man, something snapped. In her head or in her heart she simply… let go. And from somewhere deep inside of her, the words came, bubbling up like some lost memory, unbidden but so very, very right. A slight glow began to emanate from her limbs, electric-blue and wispy, as if she were letting loose a steady stream of chakra- something Akio, with his decades of experience and knowledge of the Takeda’s Kekkei Genkai, might recognize, if he was paying attention

"Fine. Let us be done with this farce." She said, drawing Samidare as the storm inside her quieted, every part of her resolute and focused on the moment, the clarity of the blade and her purpose in wielding it overriding all else- even the quiet, horrified part of herself that screamed in silent horror at what was about to happen. And then, she moved, blade swinging for the elder Preceptor’s neck in a blinding flash of movement, every fiber of her being bent towards that one, single cut.

NAME: Iaigiri - [Iai Beheading]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
ELEMENT: N/a
DESCRIPTION: The user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword, appearing almost like a blur, in order to cur the intended target before immediately resheathing the blade afterwards. In the hands of the right user, this attack can even cut clean through a boulder.

Special Abilities:
The Kunoichi That Goes On And On And On… [Endurance SA]
Perhaps part of her genetics or simply a random quirk of fate, Sora is unnaturally resilient, be it to physical pain or the toils of extended combat. While most Shinobi would collapse in exhaustion at having used all but the smallest sliver of their chakra reserves, she pushes on; while most Shinobi would wilt beneath the weight of sleepless night after sleepless night, she keeps going. This does not mean she does not feel pain/the strain of extended combat, but rather that her threshold for shutting down because of it is far higher than others. To give an example, if she were to be stabbed through her abdomen, she would still feel the pain of the injury, and it would hinder her ability to move/act, but it wouldn’t stop her, whereas a normal ninja might freeze up or shut down from the pain.

Bet You Didn’t See That Coming [Speed SA]
A byproduct of her enhanced endurance, Sora (despite what many would think) dislikes being injured- and with that dislike comes the intense desire to avoid getting hurt, a desire that has pushed her to hone her body until it could move faster than most others of her rank. In short, Sora is fast- very, very fast.

POWAH! UNLIMITED POWAH!! [Chakra Reserves SA]
After a lifetime of utilizing nearly every ounce of chakra in her body just to survive, Sora’s chakra reserves have expanded a considerable amount to compensate- while she’s no Jinchuuriki, her ability to toss out jutsu after jutsu and still have enough chakra to keep going is quite remarkable, a testament to just how much of the stuff she actually has.

I Am Not Left-Handed [Kenjutsu Mastery SA]
Sora is not merely a Kenjutsu specialist- she is a master when it comes to the art of the sword; after over two decades of training, her skills are unrivaled within Kirigakure, falling short only to the Seven Swordsman themselves… some of them, anyway. This mastery allows her a distinct advantage when fighting other Bukijutsu specialists of similar or lesser rank.

If You Try For Speed, You Do Not Achieve Speed [Bukijutsu Speed SA]
Beyond being a master of Kenjutsu, Sora has practiced for decades to become the faster swordswoman she can be. As such, her Kenjutsu techniques come out faster and move quicker than those performed by others of her rank.

Equipment: Samidare | Spring Rain Blade (Drawn)
SA’s
Unbreakable
Whatever metal and forging process was used in the creation of Samidare, it worked; Samidare is utterly unbreakable by most any means, capable of being engulfed in an S-Rank Jutsu and remaining unscathed. Though it is possible that the blade could potentially be broken by a sufficiently powerful attack (such as, say, a Bijuu-dama), this has never been tested, so it is not known if it would survive.

Sharper Than Your Average Blade
Due to its nature as an unbreakable blade, Samidare bears a cutting edge that is of particular note, which allows it to slice through even steel with little in the way of resistance, so long as the proper force is applied. Additionally, this edge never needs to be resharpened, as it never grows dull or rolls, thus making it perfect for frontline combat.

Light as Spring Rain
Perhaps a quirk of its forging (or perhaps an intentional feature), Samidare is considerably lighter than a blade its size and length ought to be; while this would normally result in a less effective weapon, Samidare loses none of its integrity or cutting power, as it is somehow able to leverage the same amount of force through less mass. This lightness allows the user to swing the weapon about with much greater speed for the same amount of physical exertion.

Chakra Conduction
Being Chakra Conductive, Samidare is capable of channeling all types of Chakra for use in Bukijustu, and, more particularly, it has a slight affinity for Raiton chakra thanks to Sora’s constant use of the blade for that purpose. This affinity does not do anything of real note, but it does feel as if the blade were more eager to drink in Raiton Chakra than other types.

While the change within the girl was sudden, it was also impressive how quickly she seemed to embrace what could be seen as a form that was emotionally stressing. Her movement was swift, to the point that had he not been prepared, Akio would have truly lost his head. Yet, in her readiness to end this, he'd move around her as though he were never there, his hand shifting from an open palm, to a closed fist before slamming it directly into her gut.

"Do not be so quick to dismiss history fool!"

In saying this, his teeth would grit down before powering through his strike and unleashing an upward motion, drawing the full force of his attack as he'd attempt to send her into the air. In doing so, the older male would land back upon the ground, his eyes narrowed before then crossing his arms over her chest.

"The history of the Takeda does not end with just that of a union...but a promise....upon which a child was born...and with it came a power that would nearly lead to the clan's destruction....she...the first Devil Queen...and her lover...the Devil King..."

Saying this, he'd begin this approach, slow and unphased, eyes as cold as she had seen them before, yet seeming more determined as he continued to speak.

"I told you your education would begin....and so it shall...Strength is only part of the course...the rest will be seen...in the heart of battle!"

Bracing himself down, he'd extend his fist forward, the other remaining close to his chest as he spoke.

"Now show me!"

Sora saw Akio move, her eyes going wide for a fraction of a second as he flowed around her cut with the ease of a practiced master, the older man’s fist slamming into her gut with all the force of a train. The blow sent her back, the breath knocked out of her as she gasped for air, all the rage and violence draining out of her as she stumbled, falling to one knee while the Preceptor spoke. His words were fuzzy, her concentration slipping as she tried, and failed, to focus her will down on the scrambled feelings that had bubbled up during their talk, to clamp down on the storm and contain it as she always had. But no matter how hard she pushed, the storm would not be contained. Not anymore.

"You want to see my strength?" She said, panting as she struggled to her feet, chest aching with every breath; the man had cracked a rib or two at the very least, likely bruising her lungs something fierce as well. There was no reason for her to bother with this, no reason to play these games- but something in her, something deep beneath the storm, whispered for her to fight. To push through the pain, to seize hold of the raging tempest and use it, as she had all those years ago, against the Kaguya who had killed her team.

"Fine. But don’t hold it against me if you end up in the morgue." The words fell from her lips in a breath, her arms lifting Samidare up as she met the Preceptors stare with one of her own. The glow wafting from her limbs grew stronger, her sky-blue eyes lighting up with chakra as she moved in, blade held in both hands, surging forward faster than before, the storm howling for blood, battle, and vengeance.

She brought her sword up, feinting a swift thrust from her left side at the Preceptor’s throat before transitioning the feint into a downward diagonal cut, left to right, body twisting on her front foot in order to follow the blow up with a blisteringly fast head kick. She wasn’t a Taijutsu specialist, but the storm coursing through her veins, everything she did was amplified- she was faster, stronger, tougher, more resilient in every way, but also far, far more wild. Untamed. An animal in human skin, screaming for the death and destruction of any and all that would stand in her way… Almost like a devil.

Her rage was growing uncontrolled, her body yielding to a force that laid dormant within. He had only seen a few with such rising tension that appeared as if wildly inconsistent with what was considered the norm. In the end, his suspicions were growing more concrete as she seemed to take his attack and continue to speak with such determination. Though Akio imagined the impact of his strikes having broken bone, she was ready for more.

Her demeanor aside, her eyes and limbs seemed to grow abundant with energy, prompting his stern expression to grow more serious as he remained in position. The chakra flowing out of her was raw, pure, incredible. In the proper form, it could come close to rivaling a Jin. Yet, she was clearly not ready for such levels of chakra...not yet.

With her movement increased and her form going for the kill, she'd twist her blade in a way that appeared as if it were coming from one side, only to go to the next as she went toward his throat, weaving back, his hand would defensively react to the sudden kick that aimed for his head, prompting his body to reel slightly forward as he knocked it back toward the ground and rushed in with his own assault. While having blocked the blade with an almost steel like skin, his hand would show the slightest cut beneath the surface, proving that the weapon itself was durable. But he was far from allowing splinter to ruin him.

As chakra flowed through his own body, his fist would move outward, twisting as he lowered himself to the ground to deliver an hard uppercut beneath her. Yet, before she could begin to rise, she'd feel herself being brought back to the ground, his hands taking hold of her ankles as he slammed her back against the floor, his position remaining over her as he eyed her like a tiger.

"The New Founding Father’s leadership in the clan was defined by those who were direct descendants of the first King and Queen. "Purebloods”. Purebloods have become extremely rare due to outside breeding....."

Akio would say this before attempting to slam his fist down upon her stomach, his voice continuing to hold a calm, yet stern tone as he spoke.

"As with titles...it created conflict...as every clan member began to wish for the status that came with leadership...thus creating infighting within the clan and civil war...it was a dark time...where kin would find itself against one another...betraying one another...which would lead to the demise of such suspected prospects of Purebloods...."

Narrowing his eyes, he'd say this as he continued to look at her.

Sora Minami
"You cannot cage a storm."
quote
Sora Minami Avatar
groupMist Shinobi
age 33 years old birthday December 23rd rank Jounin occupation Genin Team 1 Leader
Had Sora been in her normal state, she might have marveled at the Preceptor’s toughness; she had seen Samidare cut clean through a man with only the barest of flicks, the weapon’s durability and sharpness among the most potent in world… but Akio had blocked it with his bare hand, utilizing some kind of Taijutsu technique to deflect her feinted slashed with nothing but a scratch.

Had she been in her right mind, she would have taken the half second between his deflection and her kick to shift positions, retreating back in order to better assess just what it was she needed to do in order to take down someone who could block her sword with his bare hands. Had she been in her right mind, she might not have even fought the man at all. But she wasn’t in her right mind- far from it, actually.

A scream of rage, violent and feral ripped forth from her chest as the Preceptor ducked beneath her kick, only for it to be cut short by a savage uppercut, her vision swimming from the sheer force of the blow, body flying upwards, then slamming back down in a viscous blow that send Samidare skittering off to one side. The impact was enough to rattle the storm, the chakra around her limbs faltering for a moment as the elder Shinobi kept attacking, throwing another blow towards her already weakened gut. Panic, animal and strong, had the Jounin roll to her right, barely managing to avoid the blow as she scrambled to her feet, panting, every breath aching with the telltale sign of broken ribs.

A normal person would have quit. Given in and surrendered, let whatever grievance had started this all go and moved one to better, less painful things. But she had never been normal, even before the storm had been unleashed- she had always been resilient, unyielding, stubborn beyond all sense. It was what had helped her make the Hunter Corps, what had carried her through the Civil War, what had allowed her to survive when everyone else fell around her. So the pink-haired woman rose on shaky legs, looking up at Akio with wild, feral rage, the chakra flowing from her body roaring back to life as she spoke, half crazed from the emotions running wild in her head, memories flooding into her mind unbidden, each one more painful than the last.

"Stop TALKING!" Sora yelled, spitting a glob of bloody mucus onto the dojo floor as she raised her arms up in a loose, sloppy Taijutsu stance, the world around her twisting and shifting as she remembered that day. The rain on her face. The mud. The blood, seeping from her wounds. The pain in her side as she swung her sword, raging, slashing through bone as hard as steel. The visceral, unyielding hate as she screamed her teammate’s names, over and over, stabbing that bastard Kaguya’s corpse until he was nothing but a bloody mess. The cold, quiet emptiness that had followed… and the storm that had filled the void ever since.

"I don’t want to hear your stories, I don’t want to hear your reasons, I don’t want to hear YOU!" Her voice rose in pitch as she lurched forwards, swinging wildly, her vision blurring as something like tears formed in her eyes; the punch was wild, sloppy, the work of someone clearly not used to fighting with their bare hands, though there was power behind it, the glowing chakra that wafted from her every pore making it far stronger than it ought to have been, under the circumstances. "ALL I WANT-!"

Regardless of how Akio reacted, regardless of if he hit her again or not, Sora’s blow flew wide, missing her target by a good six inches as she stumbled forwards, falling to her knees, panting, the tears flowing freely now as the storm inside of her broke, the rage and anger and hate fizzling beneath the weight of that moment, that agonizing memory of how empty, how pointless it had all been. She had killed the man who had killed her team, gotten her revenge… and in the end, it hadn’t mattered one bit.

"I just want it to stop."

While the sight of her resilience was impressive, even a wounded animal showed strength in the face of defeat. But this was hardly what this was about. There was something within her that was raging and trying to be unleashed. Be it part of the Devil Bringer trait or not, there was more beneath the surface as tears began to fill her eyes. Yet, even with this, she'd continue her attack in a much wilder fashion. Her punches were uncontrolled, pointless, aimless. The Preceptor could easily read them as he moved around them, weaving from one side to the next, knowing that while reckless, a strike from such a chakra filled punch could surely kill him.

Her yells filled the dojo as Akio continued to dodge her attacks, his feet remaining centered as he heard Sora's cries. She may not wished to hear him, but he would continue to speak...

"You do not get a say in this...."

As chakra pulsed through him, his image would seem to vanish briefly, appearing directly in front of her, deflecting her animalistic punch as he lunged his attack forward, his strikes slamming into her chest, her face, her knees and finally taking hold of her arm as he pinned her down to the ground with the back of his knee. He'd feel the fiery inferno of her chakra as it blazed on, yet he remained steadfast as he held her against the floor.

"The moment you approached this clan, the point in which you stepped forward to claim what you see is strength...Kin followed with it....The strength of the Takeda is not of the power of one...but of many!"

Twisting her arm, he'd near threaten to snap it out of place as he continued to speak.

"I know not what pain you have suffered...nor the path that brought you to this place....or the rage that holds your heart...but if you are to be among us...you will release it...and focus on the present! THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS! WHAT WAS DONE IS DONE!"

In that, push himself off of her, drawing back as he held his ground.

"I am not here to hold your hand...I am here to educate you....If you do not wish to learn than you have my permission to leave...but do not waste my time on your demons...I have my own..."

NAME: Shunpo [Flash Step]

RANK: D

CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low

CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu

ELEMENT: N/A

HANDSEALS: 0

DESCRIPTION:

The first principle of Senkouken is speed- Being able to act quickly and efficiently. Senkou's core move thus is a technique that allows the user to propel themselves forward by allowing for a sudden push of chakra through their legs and down to eventual strike from their feet onto the ground, propelling themselves at a speed that their movements become a blur. Skilled user's may project themselves at a point where they are no longer seen, and may utilize multiple steps in their attack. Shunpo has been know to be similar to Shuushin since they both hold the same principle of increasing ones physical states to increase speed. This jutsu is only to be primaraly used for handful of steps since its primary use is for close range combat. The longer the distance the more strain on the muscles will occur. If the user uses this jutsu over 5 meters in a single burst it will cause server damage in the leg muscles. [Counts towards Shunshin 4 Times per thread]

Sora felt, rather than saw, what happened. One moment, Akio was there, effortlessly weaving around her attacks, his infuriating face impassive as she slowly, inexorably lost control of her emotions and the next… he was simply gone, disappearing in a flash of movement that had the Jounin’s anger-addled brain reeling. It wasn’t until his punch landed on her already bruised gut that she realized what had happened, and by then it was too late to do anything but curl up and try to stem the tide of his blows. They came in hard, they came in fast, and they did not stop, the seer force behind them battering the pink-haired woman down until, with a crack of bone, the Preceptor twisted her arm around and pinned her down, knee to her back in a hold that wasn’t going to break any time soon.

And then, he spoke.

The storm in her chest had, perhaps for the first time since her team had died, gone silent; the chakra that wafted from her limbs faded away, the pain of his blows and his hold making it all but impossible for her to do anything but lay there and listen. Listen as he rebuked her, as he explained, at last, what the point of it all was. What the Takeda were, where they drew their strength- and why that mattered. His words were simple, lacking in eloquence, the blunt direction of an old man who had seen much and suffered more… But they were enough.

Taking in a long, slow breath as Akio released her, Sora sat up, crawling towards where Samidare lay, the familiar comfort of its in her hand helping to soothe the sheer ache that threatened to drive her to unconsciousness. Threatened, but nothing more.

"I-I am sorry, Preceptor." The pink-haired woman said, slowly rising to her feet, legs unsteady but holding as she sheathed her weapon. The storm in her chest was quiet, little more than a squall compared to what it had been before, still there but now weaker, as if it had spent itself trying to make her furious attempts at violence a reality. She wasn’t certain what the storm was, why it had suddenly become so hard to control, or what all of this meant for her place in the Takeda… But.

"I am willing to learn."
