With Oriko deciding that the break was the best option for now, Yuudai would nod before saying "I’ll be right back.” He would then head to the back room of the facility where the locker rooms were located, there he would retrieve his gym bag and get his lunch out. His lunch consisted of a simple protein shake and a granola bar with dark chocolate. Grabbing the two items he would return his bag to the locker before going back to join Oriko.
[break][break]
Now back with Oriko, Yuudai would begin to eat his granola bar before looking to Oriko and saying "Just want you to know you’re doing great. You gotta walk before you can run. Always remember to take your time and breathe.” He would try to give the other shinobi a few tips. He would take a sip of the protein shake before looking to Oriko and saying "So you think you can teach me a thing or two? Im always interested in learning and improving myself… call me silly but I had hopes of joining JITE one day.”
[break][break]
While such a dream might not be easy, it was very obtainable via hard work and determination. Yuudai would then take the last bite of the granola bar, eagerly waiting to hear Oriko’s reply to his question.

Oriko takes a moment to swallow the yogurt he's already got in his mouth once Yuudai expresses interest in learning from him as well, and he tilts his head, looking a bit curious at what he might be able to teach Yuudai about. He's a higher rank, so he'd have access to some better jutsu than the lower ranking shinobi ought to, although he's not sure he could teach Yuudai enough about the medical techniques he does know to make much of a difference. Medical techniques took a great deal of talent as well as learning to be able to use it effectively, even outside of combat, and certainly wouldn't be possible in a battle situation without both.

By the time he's ready to answer, he's finally swallowed the yogurt he had in his mouth, so he can speak clearly in his response to Yuudai's request to learn from him.

"Name it. I'll teach you what I can. Skrrk."

Oriko gives Yuudai a careful once-over, but he doesn't see anything that would make him think that Yuudai joining JITE would be silly or in some way not feasible. He certainly had the physical aspects down to be able to join such an organization and be a clear benefit, but he doesn't know if he should be saying such a thing to the other man. The Genin certainly wouldn't embarrass him by asking what he was lacking in just yet, and let the Chuunin give his explanation about what Oriko himself could teach the other shinobi. After all, he was the one that had interrupted his own training in order to help Oriko with some strength training, and so he owed it to Yuudai already.

"I have to warn you, though, that if it's for medical training, I'm afraid I couldn't teach you much more than basic first aid. Anything else might be too far outside of what can be taught to somebody else. There's a limit, you know?"

After being posed with a question from Yuudai on what the genin could possibly teach him, Oriko would say that he was basically willing to teach Yuudai anything he knew. Hearing the answer Yuudai would smile a bit before jumping up and saying "Awesome!”. However Oriko would soon add a slight caveat at the end, said caveat being that he most likely would not be able to teach any medical techniques or skills beyond first aid. Hearing this would not surprise Yuudai in the slightest, nor would it even bother him. In truth Yuudai hadn’t even thought on asking Oriko for training in that regard, however he did think Oriko could teach him something that fell into the spectrum of medicine but he would save that ask for later.
[break][break]
"In truth Oriko… ummm how do I say this? I basically suck at all other forms of jutsu besides taijutsu and some bukijutsu. Not growing up within my clan had me moving and learning slightly slower than my peers, so when I saw how much more advanced most were, I simply allowed myself to fall into what I was best at. In my years as a ninja of this village I think I only ever practiced jutsu outside of those used by my clan a total of 3 times… I know that sounds crazy but yeah maybe you can help me with that. Especially my genjutsu its terrible for the most part. Funny enough though I did learn how to use kai effectively.”

Oriko blinks in a clear show of surprise when Yuudai exclaims that he apparently sucks at all other forms of jutsu that fall outside of physical aspects, and that he's apparently struggling in particular with Genjutsu and learning how to use such a deeply intellectual ninja art. It sounded like he relies almost entirely on the techniques of his clan, and was therefore significantly less practiced in other forms. This really was unforeseen by Oriko, but the request to learn more about Genjutsu from him by someone who was of a higher rank than him was met with excitement rather than what most might have expected from him; namely, they might have expected Oriko to chastise the higher ranked shinobi, but this was not something Oriko would do now.

"Oh! Skrrk. Teaching Genjutsu should be easy enough, although... Skrk. This location is not particularly the kind of place I would go to train the illusion arts. Skrrrk. I'm also already a bit walloped by the training we've done so far. Skrrrk. Knowing how to use Kai is definitely very useful, though, so it's a good start, and it means we'll be able to train it more effectively when we get there. Skrrrk. Today, I'll train physically with you, but next time, I'll train you in Genjutsu."

The smaller young man nods once, firmly, making it clear that his decision that they should focus on physical training to make himself more fit in melee-range situations for now, and that the illusion training can come at a later time. But first, he decides he should set a particular location, since the gym is clearly not the appropriate location for their training.

"There's a clearing in the forest on the outskirts of Amegakure. Skrk. We can train easily enough on some simple illusion techniques there. Skrrk. We'll start with some environmental Genjutsu, since that's a bit simpler, but also very useful."

It was obvious that Oriko was taken back by Yuudai’s statement but this was usually a lot of people’s reaction. Yuudai had noticed in life that when people saw you were good at one skill in a skill tree they assumed you to be good at all. In truth Yuudai believed his lack of other shinobi skills is the reason he did not get promoted yet.
[break][break]
Oriko would however agree to teach Yuudai on their next meet up. The answer would make Yuudai reply saying "Sick dude!” His way of saying that he was happy and excited. Yuudai would listen as Oriko would explain that this isn’t the best place to train genjutsu to which Yuudai would simply nod to agree.
[break][break]
Seeing as the location for training genjutsu was not good, Oriko would instead suggest a clearing in the forest just outside of the village. Yuudai would say "Sounds good…” his words trailing off before he would take a sip of his protein shake. "So besides medical jutsu and genjutsu are you skilled in anything else? Like what elements do you know how to use? I use baton and doton but again I’m not skilled in ninjutsu so you would probably never see me use it haha.”

Oriko continues slurping up his yogurt and oat mixture when Yuudai exclaims that he's excited for the prospect of being trained in the use of Genjutsu, and that his preferred venue for teaching about Genjutsu is apparently well-received. So his mouth is unfortunately awkwardly full when Yuudai asks him what else he's skilled in, and he has to take a moment to swallow down the last of his yogurt before he answers what elements he knows how to use as well.

"Skrk. I've been told that with my mind, I'd probably be pretty good at Ninjutsu too, though I dunno. Skrrk. The only element I know well enough to use right now is Suiton, which is a pretty great element to have in a place like Amegakure, but... Skrrrk. Well, if I were to go to Sunagakure, I'd probably be relying on my Genjutsu and my poisons, I don't think I'd be too effective with Suiton in a place like that."

He shrugs at this consideration, and then blinks at Yuudai's suggestion that he might never see him use those elements, and he gives him a smile before taking a moment to throw away the empty cup of yogurt before he returns to Yuudai's table to continue the conversation. Ready as he was to continue the workout, he felt that this was important as well. His Takehara mind was spinning as well, with considerations of many ideas flowing through his head now.

"There's plenty of uses for Ninjutsu, even if you're more skilled in Taijutsu. Skrk. Like using Katon to propel you forwards, or Doton so you can swim underground to close distance in relative safety. Skrrrk."

He smiles again at his suggestions, feeling that he was, in some small way, helping Yuudai as much as the higher ranking shinobi was helping him.

Oriko would tell Yuudai that he knew the element of Suiton, and would make a joke about how it wouldn’t be of much use if he ever went to Sunagakure. He would then give Yuudai a few ideas on how he could use ninjutsu without it taking him away from his taijutsu focused fighting style. Yuudai had thought on the ideas a bit before saying "That’s honestly pretty sick. Im surprised I didn’t think of it myself… but that doesn’t make me any better at ninjutsu haha. I’ll get a bit of practice in and then I will try my hand at something like that.”
[break][break]
Although Yuudai was clearly the higher ranking ninja, him and Oriko were building a solid relationship where both of them equally were helping each other grow. Yuudai would let out a slight sigh as he would make his way back to his feet, looking around the training facility and pointing to a machine not far off from the duo. Pointing at the machine he would say to Oriko "That over there is a treadmill, I’m sure you know that much though. Our next topic of training is stamina. Stamina in a non chakra sense is very underrated in the shinobi world, you have to have the energy to last in a drawn out fight. If you ask me physical stamina and chakra go hand in hand, so hop on that treadmill and lets see what you got!”

Oriko feels quite proud of himself when it sounds like Yuudai is taking his suggestions of how to use Katon and Doton in order to supplement his Taijutsu seriously. It felt even better knowing that he and Yuudai were building a good and healthy relationship, which might have been quite a delight for the Ame Lord who had given Oriko the job of learning to work with others, rather than being a lone expert. As Yuudai gets to his feet, though, the Genin follows him, looking at a machine he'd seen in passing in a physical therapy ward, and he's fairly certain of what it is, but allows Yuudai to explain it to him anyway. Of course, the treadmill in the physical therapy ward was limited to walking and jogging speeds, since someone that can sprint and run no longer really needs much physical therapy anymore.

He hears that their next work is going to be in stamina, and he at least feels like this might be a form of training that he might have better luck in, considering the fact that he's worn the gas mask for a long time. He steps up onto it, setting it up for a walk, then gradually increasing the speed of the tread until he's jogging at an even pace. Oriko is soon breathing heavily through the simplistic filter of his gas mask, with the sound of the mask's rattling too loud and his breathing too quick to really allow for much conversation anymore. He's at least smart enough to know that he's not to grab hold of the handlebars on either side of the treadmill's display, and instead keeps both his arms pumping as he runs. He focuses straight ahead, although the exercise is actually somewhat boring, what with there being no scenery passing him by, as there might be if he was running around outside. Then again, most of the environment of Amegakure was really rather dull and gray, so perhaps this was an improvement from that particular view.

Looking upon Oriko, Yuudai would let a smile quickly show and disappear from his face. He had the feeling of a proud brother, helping his fellow shinobi. In a sense it was almost very uncharacteristic of him to enjoy someone else’s company, but he was going with the flow of life and this is the direction of the current flow.
[break][break]
"Make sure you breathe, always breathe its gonna help the oxygen flow of your body.”
[break][break]
He was sure that Oriko would know this himself but he was merely being supportive at this point. It was then he would think about what he had told Oriko earlier, about how he wanted to join JITE. His look on the current situation would make him question this idea internally *I might make a good teacher… or maybe that’s a plan for a future me. I might be a little young for people to take me serious as a teacher haha*
 [break][break]
Yuudai would then look over to a clock upon the wall and realizing the time, he would remember his kenjutsu training with Sanji. He would then say to Oriko "Hey, sorry but I have to go soon. I have Kenjutsu training in a hour. I figured I would learn a thing or two about weapons aside from my fist.”

Oriko does his best to smile back at Yuudai, but his focus returns to his jog so he can keep going, especially since he'd started to drift a bit towards one side while he'd been looking at the Chuunin. The encouragement to keep breathing works well for the Genin, pushing him to keep up the hard work as he listens, rather absent-mindedly when Yuudai speaks after several minutes. He catches the jist of his meaning through the tone, more than the words, and he stops the treadmill, panting heavily through the filter of his gas mask as the tread slowly pushes Oriko from the treadmill and onto the floor as its momentum gradually drops.

The medic nin finally stands up so he can look up at Yuudai directly, wiping his sweat-laden brow with an arm to make himself more presentable before he gives Yuudai another big smile. Prior to meeting this higher ranking shinobi, his smiles had been quite rare and most people didn't get to see his eyes scrunch up like that. He actually looks happy, which had to be an uncommon occurrence for someone who lost both of their parents and the only home they'd known prior to coming back to Amegakure.

"Thanks a lot - Skrk - for the physical - Skrk - training, Yuu-sensei! Skrk."

His breathing was heavy, but it was starting to even out as he was no longer jogging so hard for the endurance training. He looks like he's about to offer his hand for Yuudai to shake, then realizes how sweaty his own hand is and thinks better of it. Instead, Oriko gives the Taijutsu specialist a wave of farewell, hoping to meet him again for a very different type of training, one where Oriko himself might actually be the one to teach, for once. It was certainly a rarity, since he'd left the medical corps.

Once Yuudai leaves, Oriko does a few more miles on the treadmill; since Yuudai wanted him to train his endurance, of course he would do so, but when Oriko is too tired to continue, he starts his walk back to his home on lead-heavy legs, feeling quite happy with his workout.

Yuudai and Oriko had made plans to meet up at a later date to train more, and so ending things here seemed natural. Yuudai would notice how Oriko was about to shake his hand but opted against it, most likely because the genin was sweaty. Oriko would instead wave to the chunin which would prompt Yuudai to simply laugh before grabbing his hand mid wave and shaking it.
[break][break]
"A little sweat never killed anyone… better we share sweat than blood. I shall see you soon Oriko.”
[break][break]
Yuudai would then let go of the genin before walking back to the locker room to retrieve his things. While he did not get to train as much as he would have liked, the feeling of being able to help Oriko was much more satisfying. He would get his bag out of the locker before heading towards the exit of the facility. He would further ponder on his new idea of potentially becoming a teacher, regardless of if it was in the academy or as a leader of a genin team. Only time would tell where he would go with his shinobi career, but he did know that he was determined to make his clan proud… and his father up above proud.
