For the Hachimon I (and some other members) haven't been able to find a thread/post detailing the number of Gates a particular rank can have/open. I might be blind and just have overlooked it, but if not that'd be something great to add in.

Generally speaking there's no set rule on this - rather, it's handled in the application during the review process, much as Jinchuuriki detail what level of control they have in regards to their chakra cloaks.

Yeah I wondered about that too, but I guess it slipped through the cracks during Tenshi's review because none of the reviewers gave a number in their posts.

I think in that case it was more a matter of being a 31 year old Jonin. Age alone would've qualified him for Elite Jonin status, and given age and experience I wouldn't expect being able to use all eight gates a problem. Aside from the "eighth gate killing you" thing.

Ah, well that works. Just needed to know for rp's sake so no one calls foul when I start opening higher level Gates.
