What's Under the Waterfall

MISSION RANK: S-rank
NPC REQUIRED?: No requirement.

PARTICIPANTS: Kazuhiro Hayato / Hideaki Kimiko

DESCRIPTION:
In deaths wake we're left at the shameful compromise of merely bolstering our forces for an unseen conflict. This fate however doesn't sit well with her highness the Raikage-sama, so in her rage and limited resources, she's assigned her most skillful espionage shinobi to infiltrate Takigakure. Takigure would be but a thorn in the foot of Kumogakure forces, it'd be one of the few villages Imojin would have absolute confidence in attacking. However the likelihood of this village being the instigator was slim to none, but being a weaker and closer village than other suspects; Imojin see's Takigakure as the perfect village to infiltrate.

Her spy has the sole purpose of alleviating Imojin's blame or solidifying her suspicions of the village. The man's first task is his hardest, which is to breach the village unnoticed, upon entering the village unnoticed the mission gets a little easier. The man's first task is simply to retrieve an up to date Bingo Book. Takigakure's science and experimentation means their population has the highest likelihood of having produced the biological attack. However the village might of had a traitor, so identifying a possible missing-nin attacker would give Kumogakure an evil smaller target to exact revenge.

The chances a missing-nin was capable of sneaking in such a powerful weapon is unlikely, so the bingo book is merely a minor part to the whole mission. The operative after retrieving a bingo book must then proceed to investigate as much into the local scientists as possible. The mission isn't to steal knowledge though, it's only important the ANBU Captain see suspicious material on the subject, there is no need to retrieve any of smaller villages science. Whatever evil Takigakure scientist are working on can stay with themselves, but any useful information to benefit Kumogakure will be rewarded as long as a paper trail doesn't lead back to Kumogakure.

The final part of this espionage mission as well as the second hardest; review any past mail treaties or information shared between Taki and Iwa. Anything that might allude to the fact that Iwagakure had anything to do with Kumogakure's poisoning. It is Iwagakure after all that displays the most desire to do such unsettling things to Kumogakure. Iwagakure however would be near impossible to slip in and out, where Takigakure by comparison should be a breeze. The future of Kumogakure's diplomacy rides heavily on this mission failure is heavily frowned upon, but capture is allowed in extreme conditions. Kumogakure forces are too thin to lose anyone.

Bonus Objectives: Imojin is out for a head, if a solid case can be made, any target for Kumogakure's wraith would be greatly received. | There are many scientist in Takigakure rumored to have made amazing revelations at the cost of many lives, it'd be wise to not let those lives gone to waste. Any stolen information that benefits the village will also be well received. | Complete the mission undetected and without a trace. | Complete the mission without revealing village orientation. | Complete mission with more than half health and collect all five wolf pelts
