http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o58/musiclivesoninme/mountain_zpsq2yewfxz.jpgIwagakure's civil war was well underway. Revolutionaries and Loyalists had scattered all around the expansive country of Tsuchi no Kuni in order to secure vital parts of the country for their respective sides. In the country's East lied an important ravine.  The deep chasm lay between Iwa and their ally of Takigakure.  The cut in the earth was often bridged by earth jutsu and few forms of natural earthen bridges.  It was the most direct route between the two villages.  Taking control over one of the major pathways to the village's ally could turn the tide for Iwagakure.

This chasm cuts deep into the earth with a nearly bottomless pit.  Atop the ravine one would find hard stone on one side and deep forest on the other.  The side of stone led towards Iwagakure, the Land of Earth beginning to become hard and have jagged and a variety of sizes and heights of rocks upon this sporadically grassed land.  The side of Takigakure was much more lush and covered in trees and green.  There would be no bridges joining these two sides today, at least not at the top of the chasm.  Approximately 75 meters down there would be an earthen bridge joining the sides of the chasm.  The only one still connected.  On either side the walls would be jagged, have sporadic foliage, and be deadly steep.  The canyon would continue down for kilometers upon kilometers, ever 50-75 meters holding another sort of ledge as if the earth beckoned someone to enter the ground unknown.  On this first ledge, where the only bridge still stood, here, Yamakira Takeshi and Nohime Ouritsu would find eachother on opposite sides of the chasm and begin battle.

Steadfast loyalty to the village and an almost instinctive need to see it prosper had led to this point. The Tsuchikage, a fellow Nohime, had big plans for Iwagakure and was poised to see it grow into an even stronger power in the shinobi world, but there were those who could not grasp the magnitude of the Stone Shadow's work and sought to remove him from power; Ouritsu could not let that happen. This was his home, where he had grown and experienced most of his life and now people from all over where trying to drastically change that way of life.

Under most circumstances Genin wouldn't dare be left alone to their own devices and would most likely be kept with the women and children in the village shelters, but considering the state of the village, a veritable civil war, it was unsure who could be trusted at such a moment. Not that Ouritsu would have listened to any of them of course, considering his vilage was in danger and it had been engraved into his psyche to protect the village at all costs.

The higher ups in his clan had given him the task of supporting the earthen bridges that brought Iwa and Taki together, and while this was a task usually not suitable for just a Genin the Nohime were a clan of exceptionally talented shinobi which made Ouritsu no ordinary kid. He stood on the back half of one of the last standing bridges with his back facing the Earth Country, on his opposite side one that opposed the views of his clansmen, the Kage, and the village as a whole.

Absolute power is kind of neat.
Takeshi was excited, no he was positively thrilled. He had not imagined his first trip outside of Taki besides the chuunin exams would be this exciting. How could he not be existed when he was taking part in civil war of all things. What side he was taking didn’t matter to him in the grand scheme of things. Takeshi wasn’t here for some complicated conflict of views, no he was here to fight and test his mettle against whoever the enemy was. He was so glad the Taki Lord’s brat had slipped about Iwa, he had almost instantly volunteered after hearing that and pushed her for them to go as quickly as they could. Takeshi would make sure to repay the Lizard princes one day for this kindness.

The journey to the camp of the rebels had been uneventful with strangers staying away from them sadly but it was all worth it in the end. That was at least what Takeshi kept repeating in his head once they arrived at the camp and when he was placed doing mundane jobs and helping people stationed around the camp, much to his displeasure. But lady luck had finally smiled at him today as he was assigned to secure the one of the main pathways to Taki. His blood could only sing with excitement as he made his way to the destination, a deep ravine with only one bridge connecting it’s ends.

Takeshi had taken a slight detour and as such he appeared on the lush end that lead towards Takigakure. He was impressed once he witnessed the ravine, it seemed like the perfect place to battle. Barely resting the urge to smile he made his way down towards the bridge that served as a connection. As his feet touched the bridge his eyes fell onto the form of his would be opponent. It seemed they had sent a brat to acquire this land but that didn’t matter now, he was just too excited to be disappointed. This time he did not stop the savage smile that broke on his face as he finished observing his opponent and addressed him "I hope you are ready for what’s to come, Thrash!”

As soon as he finished those words Takeshi felt the change of his body turning to stone almost immediately as he activated the Yamakira hijutsu. The savage smile on his face stretched even more as he swiftly took two kunais from his pouch and threw them at purple headed boy as fast he could, one aimed at the heart and the other at the head. As soon as he does that Takeshi would then try and dash forwards across the bridge towards his opponent in an attempt to close the distance between the two.

They certainly hadn't spared any time to do mental evaluations of those they enlisted to aid in this foolish attack on his village, but then again could the crazy actually call other people crazy? Ouritsu supposed not, but whatever, the result would end all the same. Perhaps it was fate that the other kid began covering himself in stone, or his skin was turning to stone or whatever but that presented an possibly favorable challenge for the young Nohime. He had begun practicing on objects thicker than wood not too long ago and stone was one of his main targets. The Genin wasn't adept enough to start obliterating people with his Jinton, but a person made of stone? Well...

A couple kunai came careening in his direction, diversion tactics, and as much as the boy wanted to just make them disappear wasting chakra on the small stuff probably wasn't a good idea. Whipping out a kunai from his holster to block the two incoming projectiles there were only a few moments before the other kid would be able to close the gap and make this a much closer fight than he wanted. No matter, there was something that needed to be found out anyway and the best way to do that was first hand experience.

Using his kunai wielding hand Ouritsu would slice across where he assumed the boy would come running in at. If he truly was covered in a layer of stone then the attack probably wouldn't do much of anything, but that also meant this kid would be the perfect participant for the Novice Magician.

Takeshi’s blood was pumping with excitement as he rushed through the bridge towards his opponent with a grin still present on his face. If it was any other situation, he wouldn’t have been as excited or smiling as much as he was, no Takeshi would’ve actually been quite disappointed and angry if the pink haired brat was to be his opponent. This was different though, after all even if he was a genin they wouldn’t send some pathetic weakling to defend a key position like this. Most certainly they would’ve sent someone with equally high strength and skill as Takeshi himself boasted.

Seeing Eggplant Kid deflect the Kunai was to be expected, after all it had been a predictable move on his part. But that was of little matter for him currently and as Takeshi closed in even more he remained undeterred in his path towards his opponent. The reason for that was rather simple, while there was no outward change to his appearance, Takeshi had activated the prized hijutsu of The Yamkira and was confident that no counterattack the boy would launch would be able to hurt him in his current form.

Upon reaching the Iwa genin instead of trying to dodge the incoming slash aimed his way Takeshi just took it directly and continued forward. Instead of the sound of flesh being cut and blood spraying sounding throughout the ravine, it was the dull sound of metal scraping throughout rock instead that echoed. As he had suspected the attack of the Purple head had proven utterly ineffective. Not wasting this opening Takeshi sank his stone fist in to the gut of his opponent without any remorse and with more power than someone his size should be able too. Following that Takeshi would try and follow up with an elbow aimed straight for the face of Oritsu in an effort to pile as much damage as quickly as he could.

NAME: Maisou no Jutsu [Burial Technique]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu, Hijutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
This is the very first jutsu Yamakira clansmen learn after they have gone through the special ritual. This technique allows the user to wilfully turn their bodies into stone and dirt with just the barest amount of concentration. It also automatically shifts the user into stone and dirt upon being hit by an attack and allows them to reform back through sheer force of will, making them impervious to a lot of attacks that may be harmful or even lethal because they can just put themselves back together. They can move and think normally while in this form and so can fight as if they were flesh and blood. It also increases their strength and durability automatically upon shifting into their default stone and dirt form because stone is naturally stronger and tougher than flesh and bone.

There are drawbacks to this technique. Users can only reform themselves as long as there is earth or stone to reform themselves with. Raiton is a partial weakness as it can tear the hardened body to pieces, but that doesn’t stop the user from reforming back. The user’s true weakness though is suiton, as it erodes away their body and makes it next to impossible to reform the user’s body hit by the suiton due to the mud-like consistency it is forced to take. Thus, suiton is the best way to keep them down and out from a fight.

There were a couple reasons Ouritsu attacked with a kunai instead of moving out of the way of the dumb dumb who decided to charge straight at them, or maybe a 1 and 1a, but that was a moot point. The boy hadn't come across anyone who could take on the properties of stone before and needed to see if such a feat was real or some kind of visual trick, and if the latter proved to be true then things would become a lot more interesting. Unfortunately for the young Genin the best way he could test said theory was to attack with a method he knew had very little chance of success, which would leave him open to a counter.

Watching the kunai skim right off the boy's shoulder like a blade on stone was not as surprising as it should have been, but the subsequent punch and elbow were not too pleasant. It'd take more than a couple stone backed hits to get him down though Ouritsu had no plans on taking too many more of those. The momentum of the attacks served to push the boy back a bit and he coupled that with a jump to create a bit more space. Wrinkling his nose to try and shake off the elbow didn't help all too much, but nothing felt out of the ordinary in terms of a broken facial bone or the such.

So his opponent, no, Iwa's opponent, was a guy who could basically turn himself into a rock. A tad ironic, but useful none the less. Ouritsu wasn't too big a fan of the hand to hand stuff to begin with so not fighting up close was not a bummer in the least. If it had been anyone else the boy would have been a tad disparaged considering he hadn't quite reached the level to make people disappear yet, but he did have proficiency at making sticks, stones, and other manner of non-organics turn into dust. Granted, this stone guy was technically alive yet he was still carried the properties of stone so there was a 50/50 chance this would work in his favor. If not, there was always plan B.

A quick set of seals followed by his hands taking the shape of a diamond with the stony deviants left arm square in the middle. He'd form a small, transparent cube of sorts that would quickly shoot out at the boy before expanding outwards from where his left arm was supposed to be, and then in a few moments the cube would collapse in on itself hopefully leaving an one-armed kid... and maybe some of his torso missing as well. Ouritsu hadn't gotten the opportunity to use his clan's techniques on living beings before so there was bound to be some trial and error, especially considering the timing and all that, but the Genin was pretty decent at not wasting his chakra so he'd definitely be able to take a few more shots of target practice.

NAME: Jinton: Genkai Hakuri: Busshitsu [Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World: Substance]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu | Kekkei Tota
ELEMENT: Jinton
DESCRIPTION:
By increasing the containment chakra and limiting the Jinton chakra center the user of this jutsu can create a three dimensional shape (cube, cone, sphere, cylinder, etc) with a small Jinton chakra sphere within its center. Whatever is within the three dimensional shape will lose their substance become a shapeless mass of dust. This jutsu is too weak and slow to effect living beings and is used mostly for inorganic matter such as kunai and other small substances. This jutsu was created to teach one to use Jinton without a high destructive property that could cause younger users to cause accidental damage or death to themselves or others.

A miniscule of satisfaction passed through Takeshi’s body upon landing both of his hits successfully. It seemed though Eggplant brat could take a hit, judging by how well he handled them as he jumped back. That made things even better, after all it would be disappointing if the fight ended with just that, although it seemed the kid wasn’t too keen on close combat judging by his back away and lack of an immediate counter attack. Alas you couldn’t get what you always wanted mused silently Takeshi to himself as he tensed his body in preparations to dash towards his opponent and close the distance once more.

Just as he was about to move he saw the Purple head make a strange shape with his hand, intrigued by what he would do Takeshi stopped himself and instead observed what would follow. As a small cube began to form he decided that whatever it was he wouldn’t dodge it and just take it head on. While a part of his reason was his arrogance of being virtually indestructible speaking, another reason was that no matter what the attack would do, him shrugging it off or surviving it might deal a serious mental blow to his opponent.

Grinning at his own idea Takeshi began confidently walking towards his opponent in a slow pace awaiting the attack. He didn’t have to wait long and soon the small cube flew towards him, not making an effort to dodge he watched it expand on his entire left arm. The feeling he got from his arm was something he hadn’t felt before. It wasn’t pain seeing as that was impossible for him to feel with this form, no it was more like the sensation of something disappearing. Once the cube had fully collapsed Takeshi looked upon his arm and was surprised by the damage that had been done.

Most of his hand had been disintegrated with only his thumb and part of his fore finger remaining. But it wasn’t only that, further up his arm there were various place where it looked like something had skinned him or taken a bite out of him, the biggest bitemark being the missing chunk of his forearm near the elbow. Despite how his appendage looked there was no agony on Takeshi’s face or screams of pain coming from his mouth. In fact, there was no blood coming from this "wounds”, neither bone or muscles were visible too even if they should’ve been with this wounds. The only thing that could be seen was earth and stone where flesh should be instead.

Letting out a malicious laugh Takeshi couldn’t resist saying "Is that all Purple Head. You’ll have to try harder than that.” Upon finishing the sentence, he would then concentrate a small amount of chakra and discreetly pull earth from under his feet and move it into his arm prompting it to begin regenerating to its former state. Once done he would resume his rush towards his opponent. If he is not interrupted this time instead of punching his opponent, he would instead lower himself closer to the ground a few steps before reaching and then rise up. While rising up he would also bring his knee up in attempt to hit the brat’s body.

NAME: Bubun-tekina Dōka [Partial Assimilation]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu, Hijutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
This is the second jutsu Yamakira clansmen learn after they have gone through the Maisou no Jutsu technique. This technique allows the user to pull in the earth around them in order to regenerate themselves by putting in chakra into the earth and then pulling it in to one of their body parts. This technique can be used to heighten the user’s strength and durability at the specified body part by enlarging it as well.

NAME: Keimou Ni'i Ouda [Enlightened Knee Strike]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu
ELEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION:
The user lowers their body closer to the ground before rising up. Simultaneously they will bring their knee up towards their opponent and will smash it as hard as they can into their body. The force of the blow and strength of the user will be focused into that one striking point. The force of the blow does not stop there, as depending on the angle that the opponent is struck the force will carry on in a straight line as if the user had just struck clean through them.

It seemed that Purple Head was more surprised than Takeshi thought judging by the lack of a quick reaction after his little regeneration stunt. That was just perfect and it made Takeshis lips stretched even more. He loved seeing the shocked expression of people that were ignorant of the powers that the Yamakira possessed. Sadly, for the brat Takeshi wasn’t one to miss an opportunity like that, when it’s presented. Unperturbed he continued at full speed towards his target and in just few moments he was already upon him. Takeshi then proceed to smash his knee in to the gut of Oritsu with all the strength he could bring from his currently stone enhanced form. While there was no crunch signaling of broken ribs the hit was still satisfying enough for him, seeing as he could directly see the pain filled face of his opponent.

While that was satisfying, it wasn’t nearly enough yet so Takeshi tried to continue the onslaught of attacks. He would lash out with his right hand in an effort to again hit the face of Oristsu. If he isn’t pushed back or somehow restrained, he will try to then follow up his attack with another knee but this time aimed to the left side of the body.

The onslaught of attacks that Takeshi threw at the Purple head proved successful and all of them landed spot on. Sprung on by the success He continued his unrelenting assault but it seemed the Iwa genin had finally found his bearings, albeit somewhat late judging by his attempts at a retaliation. Of course the blows had no effect on Takeshi and served only to make him laugh as he continued to rain blows on the boy, unperturbed. Soon Ouritsu realized how meaningless it was and after a few tries he actually managed to increase the distance between the two. Takeshi of course decided to continue in the same vain and charge towards Purple head in a straight line, yet again but before he could close too much the brat actually had the audacity to place him into a genjutsu. Of course at first Takeshi didn’t realize he was in a genjutsu but that became apparent the moment he felt the same technique, that hit his arm, impact with his head. That served to break the genjustu but before he could curse the boy for that another cube impacted with Takeshi head, the end result was half of his face missing and the other looking like some had been digging with a spoon.

As he pulled more earth yet again and began regenerating his head Takeshi let out a snarl before angrily saying "I’m done playing now you nuisances.” As he said that his body began darkening and growing and soon in place of the odd looking boy stood a menacing demon and the embodiment of what the Yamakira truly were. Focusing the red orbs of his new form onto the Purple Head Takeshi let out a menacing fanged grin and took off in a burst of speed towards the stunned boy. He appeared right in front of Ouritsu and empowered in this form takeshi unleashed a devastating onslaught of blows upon the Iwa genin. The Iwa genin tried to put up some sort of defiance but the next few minutes were a simple massacre by the end of which the bleeding form of Purple head was barely standing up from. One final blow from Takeshi was enough to put him down though.

Releasing the jutsu Takeshi slowly morphed back to his regular appearance and looked down on the defeat form of his opponent before clicking his tongue "I guess you weren’t that bad of an opponent.”. After saying that Takeshi would kick the unconscious body down the ravine making and turn to head towards the rebel camp to bring the good news of his accomplishment. The body of oritsu would fall on one of the lower edges suffering only minor bruises from the fall not that Takeshi would be bothered to check if he survived or not.
