In light of the Tsuchikage debate and the events after it, Akira needs to take some time out in the form of missions, anything to get him out of the village. 

There has been a kidnapping plot in Tsuchigakure and the trail points to a warehousing district, a processing area south of Tsuchigakure. As a Genjutsu user, Akira is to interrogate potential kidnappers, find the target and rescure them. The death of the target results in failure.
